This was what my 4 yr old daughter asked for this Christmas. When she saw it standing there under the tree she was super delighted. She loves that it stands on its own and the star on its head is beautiful. It is soft enough that she cuddles with it at night as she sleeps. This was a last minute buy too and they still managed to get it to my house in plenty of time. Wonderful!

My 18 month old loves this. It's been a helpful tool for her to learn parts of the body -she'll squeeze his ear, and then, after Bobbie says "ear" will touch her own ear. The only thing that drives me crazy about the toy is that if you stop playing with him, he says "I'm bored!" after a few minutes, which I find to be pretty annoying!

Fisher-Price World of Jungle Junction Roadway Playset

Our son gave the Fisher Price World of Jungle Junction Roadway Playset to our 2-year old grandson while they were visiting our home for Christmas. We were all disappointed in the product firstly because the elevator was nearly impossible to move up and down, and secondly because the cars kept flying off the ramps. But even worse, once assembled, the playset is impossible to disassemble in order to put it back in it's box. As a result, our son was forced to leave the set at our house since there was not enough room in their car to take it back to their home assembled. We would all strongly recommend against purchasing this toy.

As all Fisher-Price toys this one is fun with bright colors and age appropriate. Our grandson loves it. Very fun.

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow 2-in-1 Musical Mirror

I am a little torn about this toy. I usually love products that show some versatility, and can be used at various times, in different ways. Well, this toy didn't show any versatility whatsoever. The least I can say about the music is that it is very 'blah'. Just the same 3 songs over and over again, and they last about 5 seconds each.

I originally purchased it as a crib mirror. When I was pregnant I heard from many people that newborns can benefit a lot from looking at themselves in a mirror, even if they don't know that it's their own image they see. So I looked for a mirror, preferably a soft one since I was going to use it with a very young baby. I chose that one because of the large size of the reflecting zone, and because it was matching the theme of the nursery. Shortly after I gave birth I realized that people were right: before she was 2 weeks old she would a;ready stare at it for long minutes, and after she got 2 months old, she started smiling whenever she saw her reflection. But that's about all there is to it as far as she was concerned. She stopped having any interest for it after she got 4-5 months old.

So even though I found it limited in its functionality, I must admit that it did a great job for the purpose we originally bought it for. So I felt that it would be unfair to give it less than 4 stars. If you are looking for a safe mirror which appeals to a newborn, that's definitely the one you need. For a 'toy' per se, even for a tummy time mirror, that's not the one I would have picked. For a tummy time mirror I would recommend the FP Baby Go! Crawl Along Snail.

Mirror scratches way to easily. Like the options for use. Nice size to mirror. Music "box" annoying but appeals to baby.

We bought this mirror because our almost 3-month old son hates being on his tummy and lifting his head up. He can do it, but he hates it. If we use this mirror, it seems to help! It's great because it stands on its own, has toys on the side that baby can grab onto, and the musical fish is genius the sounds usually persuade him to crane his head up. The only thing I dislike about it is that the black fabric of the penguin attracts dog hair like the plague. Overall it is a great product for tummy time, and playtime in general. Something about those mirrors, babies love them!!

Our daughter loves this toy and it truly does help with tummy time. It keeps her engaged talking with the "other baby" and she would stay on tummy time longer. Now that she is rolling around, she still enjoys to play with this. And as she realizes that the button on the whale plays music she is even happier. Also, this plays different music than all of her Jungle toys (THANK GOD!) so mom and dad finally get some variety!

Nice set for the bath tub and my son loves the case as well. He uses the balls with a small suction cup basketball hoop for the tub. I have plugged the air holes with glue so water inside does not lead to mold. Great set.

OK, so she has no real idea what the shapes are but our 18 month old loves these bath toys in and out of the bath. She even likes the cute case they came in plays with it quite a lot. The colors, shapes and sizes all about right.

I searched high and low for a good stuffed Husky. All of them looked cheesy though. I finally found this one and couldn't be happier.

My mom loved our Husky, and during her hospital stays, would really miss her. So I found this stuffed one and it did the trick. We all absolutely loved it. The attention to detail was really surprising. It went with her to her final resting place. I ordered another one to keep with me.

Vilac Baby Paf the Giraffe Pull Toy

I bought this to replace a vilac pull along mouse who's round nose broke off when my 1 year old was playing with it, (excellent choking hazard!) But it was well balanced and ran well so I got this for a replacement but its quite small and top heavy so tips easily. Looks cute, just doesnt perform very well.

This is a fun toy. Our grandbabies got this for their birthday and love her! She has a cute voice with funny phrases ("Twinkle off!) that kids love. She's the kind of doll little ones like to cuddle with and carry around. Abby and Tickle Me Elmo are such a great, user-friendly pair. I enjoy playing with her too! She makes us all (both adults and kids) laugh! Can't ask for anything better.

My daughter got this as a birthday gift for her 2nd birthday. She has been fascinated since Abby's arrival on Sesame Street, so when I saw that this toy was a talking doll that came with a dvd and was reasonably priced, I knew I couldn't go wrong. She loves it! It is well constructed. She can squeeze the belly on her own and have Abby say about four phrases, which are cute and funny and honestly, I don't find them irritating at all. The volume level of Abby's voice isn't loud as some toys can be. It's cute, a good size for her to tuck under her arm and carry with her as she often does, and well, still a month later she loves it and Abby is still holding strong. Great toy and well worth the $. The dvd is short, and it's just an intro into Abby's arrival on Sesame Street. Maybe about 20 minutes long? Still cute and worth the $ and a great investment. Well constructed and a fun new character to add to the loveable gang on Sesame Street. :)

One note on rating I did rate the educational value fairly high because I feel that imaginative play is important for kids, and this definitely does encourage plenty of it.

I gave this to my 3-year old granddaughter who loves Abby...by squeezing her stomach she says different "Abby" expressions. She is light and soft, and I recommend her for a younger child as well. She comes with a DVD which she hasn't played as yet,so I can't review, but just the fact that the sound is so clear and she is soft and cuddly would have been enough without the dvd!

My daughter got this for Christmas and Abby instantly became her favorite. She sounds just like the character does on tv, says several short phrases and sings a song. My daughter is 2 and is able to activate the voice part by herself (some toys are too hard for her to squeeze) and the sound is not make-you-deaf loud like some toys. The only complaint I have is that the wand came off and I had to sew it back onto her hand. However, considering how much love this Abby is getting I shouldn't complain! She is also the perfect size for my 2 year old to carry around (which she does, all the time!). As far as being educational, this toy certainly is encouraging imaginative play which is very important in the development of small children. My daughter loves to pretend that she is also a "fairy-in-training" even to point of insisting that she wears her hair the same way!

Battat Farm Bath Buddies

My 9 month old can go at these little guys forever. We have one set for bath time and one set for playtime. He absolutely loves lining up his "guys" and then chewing the life out of each one in turn. These were an absolute godsend when he was teething. The hard ridges on the bumpy sheep were one of the few things that made him feel better. That bumpy sheep saved our sanity! We brought these with us when we visited family and their 2 year old liked them so much we bought her a set too! One word of caution, if you use them in the bath they should probably be replaced every so often. After a while, toys like this can often develop mold on the inside. That's an issue if your child spends all day happily shoving them in his mouth :)

My daughter received this as a gift when she was 2 months old for Valentines day, it is by far her favorite baby! "Red puppy" has gone everywhere with us, I have probably thrown him in the washer and dryer over 100 times and he is still going strong. I pinned the edges and taped the pieces together to completed the overall look, because in comes to you in a bag, with 5 sections to piece together to creat a large poster. This was a big hit at my son's party! It is 6 feet tall! Make sure to allow yourself enough time to set it up. In the product picture it looks like it's all one piece. Turns out it actually comes in 5 pieces. The top banner is 3 pieces. Elmo, Cookie Monster and "Happy Birthday" are all their own pieces. The bottom portion comes in 2 large parts. It's pretty easy to line up but does take some time. I would also recommend turning the flash off on your camera to use it for photos, as it does shine and the flash creates a glare.
