I bought this for my 3 year old daughter. I store it in a big zip lock bag and keep it in my purse for restaurants. She loves it and it keeps her distracted/interested while we wait for our food to arrive. It beats handing her my iphone to play games on:). We have a Dora and Princess one, too. The water brush it comes with is ok, but I usually have another brush in the bag just in case. Or, she can use her finger. I bought the superhero one for my 3 nephews, too.

I have a child with Autism, who desperately wanted this costume. The wig came out of the package with dirty marks all over the pink curls, most of which were unravelling, and also had dirt packed into the skull cap of the wig. For those unfamilar with Autism, an obsession is the ultimate focus. There was no way for me to return this gross item that I spent $35.00 on without screaming and tears multiplied to the 100th power. I cleaned the inside part of the wig, digging dirt out with my nails. EXTREMELY DISGUSTED. If I had a neuro-typical child, I would just return the item and demand a clean replacement. If I had the option to include images, I would bc I took pictures immediately as soon as we opened the box and plastic bag holding the wig. The dress and shoe items were not too bad but the hair/wig is just unacceptible. VERY disappointed. Cannot stress that enough as a single parent on a budget.

The costume itself is very nice. I bought a size 6 for my granddaughter but the wig was very hard to put on her head and keep it on. She was going to wear this costume at her birthday party but we decided to sent it back because it was too hard to keep the wig on her head. The dress and shoe covers are cute and nice quality.

My only complaint is the yarn on the curls of the hair seperate and you can see the white mold under neath.

Cute on the outside, but offers very few, poor quality photo sheets on the inside.

This is a great toy album. I rec'd it as a gift for my first baby, who's almost 2 now and still pulls this album out. It has enough open windows for each family member (including grandparents & great-grandparents) to be pictured with baby. It is a really lovely toy. Yes, the plastic window are a little tougher than what you'd see in an adult's album, but then a child may be a little tougher on his/her album than an adult would be. I'm expecting again and am considering buying an additional album for this second child; however, I wish that there were other cover options so that both albulms wouldn't be completely identical.

Russ Berrie Yomiko Himalayan Cat 7.5"

I got this for my daughter for Valentines Day and we were disappointed. We are sending it back right away.The picture of it was so cute. But when it arrived it's head was deformed, the face was just ugly. The color was strawberry, and not near as much color. If you want to get this for a special someone I wouldn't recommended it.

Purchased this as a gift for our 6 year old granddaughter who loves cats but can't have one at this time. She loved it. It is soft and cuddly as well as beautiful.

I am very pleased with this item. My 1 yr old loves it. They are perfect sizes for little hands. The faces on the fruits are so precious. The "basket" is a great size. My daughter carries it around like a purse. When all the fruits are in the basket, they are nice and snug so they dont constantly fall out. But easy of course to get in and out. We love this!

My 4 month old LOVES these fruit. When he sees them he throws his hands into the air and squeals. His favorite portion right now is the basket. I think the bright red contrasting stripes are visually stimulating and the braided handle provides interesting texture. All the fruit have interesting textures to explore.

It seems every few years, a new chemical used in manufacturing plastics is discovered to be toxic to babies (like BPA, PVC, and now thalates), and I like that with these toys, I won't need to worry about the next toxic chemical that hasn't yet been researched.

I purchased this fruit tote before my daughter Clara was born. We have found that they are just the right size for little hands to hold & little mouths to chew on. Clara (now 6 mos) has hugged, chewed and batted at them since she was just a few weeks old. The watermelon, pear and grapes fit very nicely when 'threaded' through 'C' clips that come with activity mats. Clara's activity mat came with some hard toys to dangle from C clips over her head & we discovered very quickly that the fruit were a better choice since she would bat at them & get hit in the head & since the hard plastic toys were also not good for chewing. We also use C clips to dangle these from her infant car seat handle. I don't have to worry about lead or other toxic chemicals in these toys. Clara likes the firmer 'grapes' as well as the pear's leaves and banana's peel for chewing. These toys are very cute. They are the most used toys she has.

Haba Olli Grabbing Toy

...it's quite heavy. My nine month old loves to pick it up by its hat. However, when she waves it around she comes very close to smacking herself in the head with it. I think it's only a mater of time before it happens, so I supervise her play. I'm not sure I would buy this again.

This toy does not resist ANY amount of saliva. It's pretty to look at but don't give it to a teething baby. The first time my baby played with it, the wood cracked (the red part). So the toy was set aside for a while. The second time we took it out of the toy box the fabric hat, which is glued on with something in two places, came off. I'm not going to wait and see what else is going to fall off this unfortunate toy into the bin it goes.

I Love this sweet little toy. While it is heavy it reminds me of weeble wooble eggs just made of natural products. My son is almost 7 months old and loves to play with Olli. The toy sure knows how to take a beating too! It gets pushed and tossed of my sons highchair over and over and lands on the hardwood floors and you would never know! Mary Meyer Flip Flop Plush Jasmine Unicorn 14"

We have three other "Flip Flop" animals from Mary Meyer in previous years. They're wonderful, even more durable than we'd expect. This unicorn arrived with the bean bag stuffing placed to the side of where it should be, a loose stitch on the horn, and visible threads between the sections of the face's embroidery. It's obviously machine made with no human inspection. It's also a coarser, thinner fabric than the previous toys. I don't expect it to last long, and that's just...sad. My daughter loves the unicorn, and it will be such a shame when those stitches come out.

Bought this for my daughter for Easter. It is soft and she LOVES it. The quality is good for a stuffed animal. It isn't like a Gund, but it isn't dollar store cheap either. Only complaint is that the stitching started to pop open all along the seems of the legs. She's had for less than 4 weeks and the toy has already undergone 3 "surgeries" to repair open stitching... and all she does is sleep with it. (Can't imagine what it would be like if she dragged the thing everywhere!) All in all, not a bad purchase.

This is a beautifully made and designed stufffed animal. I gave it to my 2 yr old son as a gift. He immediately chose to snuggle with it nightly. I was a bit disappointed that the bow came completely wrinkled, but all of those wrinkles fell out and the bow looks beautiful now. My only issue is that my particular one has a wrinkle in the nose where the sticking was a bit off. This inperfection would have bothered me as a kid and I wonder if it will for my child..... Boon Creatures Interchangeable Bath Toy Cup Set

I was so psyched to get these for my one year old. We have other Boon brand toys that are really fun and creative. I love the colors of these creatures, but that's it. I am SO disappointed in them. They don't fit together and are basically just cups with holes that aren't fun. They advertise them that you'll switch them around but that's not possible. The pieces match up but do not stay together, making them very frustrating to play withfor me and for my kid. Skip this item for sure.

The Boon products are so cute and well designed usually, but these creatures don't snap together, so they tend to fall off the bases. They're not even very easy to put together. Do they float in the the tub and give baby something to pour water out of? Yes. Do they sit as pictured when not in use? Not really.

These toys are very cute, but other than that, they've been a big disappointment. The tops and bottoms don't stick together, which pretty much makes these useless. Lucky for Boon, my kids figured out that they make pretty decent pouring toys (since some of the tops have different hole configurations). Otherwise, I would have given these one star instead of two.

I really love the design of Boon's products but this one definitely missed the mark. I wanted the cups to snap together and they don't. So you can kind of set them up on the edge of the bathtub and if NO ONE touches them then they stay together but that's not much fun. So like the others said they are basically just cups with holes. Item is made of Poly Ethylene plastic resin, practically most durable and usable plastic resin out there.

My boys love to dump, transport everything from sand, firewood, stones, each other and yes even our dog gets a ride here and there. I am not sure how much he likes that but ... .

Product is really well designed, constructed and produced.

No question pricey but if you can afford it pays back itself you really do not need to buy another similar item again.

It is nice the see lines like Wader. We have numerous of their toys and no regrets. Made in Germany tell it all.

Jolly Jumper Bath Tub Toy Bag

We have ton's of toys in this. The key for us was to wipe down the suction cups and shower wall with rubbing alcohol--if you don't do this it will not stay put with a large amount of toys placed in it. Love it, makes a big difference.

This thing worked out OK for us anyways, but the suction cups do not stick very well. It appears to be good quality mesh material, and well stitched, etc. But when you stick the suction cups to the tub and walk away, within a few minutes, they come unstuck, and the bag falls. We have it pretty loaded with toys, so maybe its just too heavy, but isn't that the whole point, to load it up with bath toys...? We ended up hanging it from some other hooks that we have in the shower, so it works well that way.

I got this so we could get rid of our bulky plastic bin that held our bath toys. I have to be honest and say that I didn't expect an awesome product, since it is so inexpensive. I received it early, and opened it right away. It looks small, but holds a LOT of toys. we have it stuffed full, literally overflowing, and the suction cups are holding strong. We simply wiped and dried the area we wanted to apply them, then got the suction cups damp and applied them. I would highly recommend this product to anyone, it keeps the toys off the floor, and the mesh bag helps keep them dry to prevent mold, and the slimy stuff that collects if the toys are in bins like ours used to be.

I bought this doll for my 3 month old daughter, Violet. I wanted a little doll she could hold in her hands to chew on now and cherish when she is older. I read a few negative reviews that say this doll is really small, somebody compared it to a beanie baby. It is really small, but I don't think that is negative, and it is a much better quality item then a beanie baby, I love German made toys. This doll is exactly what I was looking for as my little girl's first doll. That is small, chewable and well made.

My daughter has developed a special love for her Kathie Kruse dolls. She is now one year old and has loved and held her babies every day of her little life. They are so soft and loveable and I do not fear how or what they are made of because they are German made.

I highly recommend these dolls to any parent looking for a unique gift for your children. They are durable and will stand up to normal washing once a week. I put my faith into these little dolls and my daughter puts her love towards them.

I got this for my daughter when she was a month old because she loved to 'snuggle' up against a burp cloth and I thought this would be a cuter and more intact item to snuggle with and grow up with. We have owned it now for 4 months and I am still equally as happy with it as I was when I first purchased it.

Pros:

Great quality of materials. It's very soft, not too heavy for a baby to pick up and cuddle in her arm.

Washes well: This often rides next to my daughter in her arm in the car and so it has been subject to a blow out diaper a time or two. She also loves to chew on the doll and occassionally get spit up on the doll. All these fluids wash right out with no issue. The instructions say to not dry the doll but I do on medium heat without any issue.

Size: I put this easily into the pro-side. I think it is unfair for individuals to rate this product lower simply because of the size/price ratio, see my take on that below. Size wise it is GREAT for my tiny baby to wrap her arms around and it is just the right size as she learned how to pick things up to do that. She cuddles with it during nap times, picks it up while riding in the car to chew on it and it's light enough she can thrash it around and have fun with it. I think even as she gets older she will enjoy this one because it is easy to tote around and honestly for it being her "first doll" and we moms tend to save their 'firsts' of many things this will be a nice size doll to tuck into a box to save for later when she grows up and wants to look back on her 'baby years'.

Cons:

I honestly don't have any. I would buy this product again. In fact if my daughter really shows signs of attachment to it, I will be buying it again to ensure that we have a second in the event this one gets lost. ;-)

Price: You can clearly see (or at the very least read) the dimensions of the product, if that price seems to high don't purchase it and leave the reviews to a more quality for price basis. That's just my opinion. I think that for a German made product that gives you the satisfaction of knowing that it it's cheap chemically crap that your child is chewing on $20+ dollars is well worth that guarantee. Quality and safety are well worth $22.

My daughter just got this doll for her first birthday. She really isn't into many stuffed animals or toys, but she does love this doll. It is worth it weight in gold watching her carry it around while she does her waddle walk. It is a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be though. I wouldn't recommend for children over one. Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Push N Whirl Whale

I bought this thinking it was a nice toy for my 10 month old to use to build her confidence while learning to walk. However, the handle doesn't snap or lock into place. I can see where she could lose control of it and fall forward on her face. I'm going to return it. It's cute, and seems otherwise sturdy, but not designed for new walkers.

I normally love FisherPrice toys, but the only "wonder" this whale offers is wondering why I ever bought it. My daughter is 1 years old and is walking great, so I was thinking this would be a great toy to push around. Instead, it is like pushing a broom; it doesn't roll, it's not sturdy, and you can't put any "weight" on it without it pushing out from under your toddler. My daughter carries it around instead. Which is cute, but not the point. Also, all four of the wheels never seem to be in contact with the floor, so the balls never "pop" around inside the whale. It only works if it is in the correct position, with the handle at the right angle, and with a feather-like grip. NOT WORTH IT.

Try the "bark-bark vacuum" or the "stroller" by fisher price instead.

I bought this for my 10 month old son who was walking pretty well already. I thought it would be a good toy for him to push around. However, the handle does not lock into place and the it would fold down while he was walking. My son would get extremely frustrated, cry, and throw the toy down. He really wanted to play with it but it just didn't work well. Luckily, my husband is handy and put a screw through the handle so that it would no longer fold. The problem was solved and my poor baby was happy again but not everyone has that option. I'd go for the basic corn popper if I could do it over again.

Intex 120V AC Quickfill Pump

Had no idea how much we needed an air pump like this till we actually had one to use! We have used this for the kids jump-o-lene 71.5" x 40" Jump o Lene Jump n Gymfor rafts and other pool toys, for inflatable mattresses when company visits. Never had one before, and we purchased it specifically for the Jump n Gym, but once we had it, we were shocked at how many times it came in handy!

What's great about it is that it has several different sized nozzles, so you can use it for so many things! Oh, and the fact that you can also use it to deflate stuff really makes life a lot easier! It's super-fast, and I can't

believe we went so long without it. Now that I've gotten used to just grabbing the pump when we

need something inflated or deflated, I can't imagine not having one.

We highly recommend this air pump. It has been reliable, durable, and very very convenient. By the way, it's not heavy and doesn't take up much space, so you can easily take it with you if you need to. Super-duper recommend it! ;)

EDIT: This pump is so user-friendly that our 5 year old can use it, under adult supervision for safety, of course! It is so handy to have around.

We bought this pump to replace the one that came with our air mattress. It works sooo much better than the original that came with the mattress. I would definitely recommend this air pump.

Small, easy to store. Good solution for occasional use at a very good price. Intuitive to use, which is good because tiny instructions require a magnifying glass.

Cons: Relies on access to nearby electrical outlet, so not ideal for outdoor camping. Two things might be negatives, but didn't matter at all to us: 1) the nozzle parts don't fit together very well so you have to hold them together with one hand during operation; 2) it's a little noisy. The pump works so fast, these inconveniences were just momentary, and well worth the extra value we got from the low price.

Tolo Toys First Friends Train Set

After my son fell in love with Tolo's shape sorter, we knew we had to try more of their fantastic toys! My mother bought this as a Christmas present for my 22 month old son and he adores it. He can turn it on himself, create his own tracks by snapping them together, and the volume isn't too loud. We can't wait to add more to our set, including all of the adorable dinosaurs!

Tolo's toys are well-made and perfect for his level. This train set is an absolute hit!

My daughter received this train set for Christmas when she was 9 mos old, and enjoyed the lights, sounds, bright colors, and movement but I had to do all the putting together, making it start, etc. Now, she is 2 and this is her absolute favorite toy. She can snap the pieces of track together in lots of configurations and push the button to make it start. We are trying to buy more track pieces to go with it, but so far I can only find full train sets with another train or the points set which only has a few extra pieces of track in it. The manufacturer DOES make just a box of track, (Check out their website) but it is only for sale in New Zealand and none of the online toy stores will ship outside of NZ at this time. Overall, it's been a great toy, but I just wish Tolo would sell the extra boxes of track in the U.S. so she can expand her set!!

I usually find Tolo toys to be high quality and was therefore willing to pay the extra money for this train meant as a gift for my 18-month-old son. On Christmas morning my son was excited to find the train running around the tree. My son loved the train and I was impressed with the way it held up when he pushed it along and played with it ... That was until day 3 of play! Two of the wheels bent and the train no longer runs straight or smooth (even after being bent back into place). I am very disappointed and no longer believe this train was worth the money. I should have bought a $20 Fisher Price toy.

I received these as a shower gift and put them away in the closet. When my son was 3 1/2 months old I was looking through things to find toys for him to play with I got these out and put them on his car seat. He couldn't reach them so I took them off and handed one to him to hold. He loves it. We went from fussy rides in the car, even though he has an expensive lights and sound mirror, to watching him play with the teddy bear most of the ride. We put one in Daddy's car seat and the other in a seat in the house. These are great. He absolutely loves them at 4 1/2 months.

I got this teething ring for my baby girl a month ago when she was 3 and 1/2 months old. Her ability to grab and hold on to this toy has vastly improved over the past few weeks. It's design makes it easy for her to grab with both hands. It's such a joy to see her little face light up when I hand her the bumble bee! She loves it!!! It's cotton and washable and gentle on her gums. I would highly recommend this toy.

I like this toy and am thrilled to offer my baby something safe to put in her mouth the only problem is that she has no interest in putting it her mouth!! So we are taking cotton wash clothes wetting them and then freezing them. She absolutely loves to chew on that!! Go figure. But she does like to play with it especially the little strings attached to the head.

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Letters Mailbox

It's a little 'perky' for me. My son (12 months) enjoys playing with it a lot. We are both very frustrated by the fact that the back of the mailbox is completely open. When he puts letters in the top slot with the door closed 50% of the time the mail falls out the back! When he goes to open it the letters are not inside so he's not learning proper cause and effect. At first I thought there was a part missing!

I got this toy to go with his FP Farm house (everyone needs a mailbox). We got this more for the aesthetics to complete his farmhouse and didn't think this would be educational or fun. SO WRONG.

What baby likes: the letters they're tasty I guess....he giggles when he eats them. Opening and closing the door is also exciting. He can't stop. He hasn't figured out that the flag goes up and down, but when he does, I'm sure he'll go to town with it.

What I like about it: keeps my kid entertained. It's not a one hit wonder either. He takes his "mail" with him and then will come back to his mailbox to open and close the box. The music is very standard FP stuff, so he's familiar with it. The little birdie was the same as a few of his other Laugh and Learn toys so that's nice (same with a few other features/voices/sound effects).

It goes well with his farm house, he loves the toy.

Anything I don't like there isn't a back to the box so it's not really a "box". He could go in the back to get his mail, but he hasn't figured that out yet, and still opens the door.

What i like about FP toys in general they're super durable. We've got a rough kid plus 2 dogs that trample over his things. Plus we play with them too. We haven't had issues with anything. Also the FP customer service is amazing. When we did have a piece break, they gave us a certificate towards another replacement toy. NICE! If we had questions, we could always find info on their website or call customer service. Their toys are always multidimensional and have a vast variety in music, education and activity. I like getting my money's worth and I generally do with FP.

This was a gift to my son... Honestly, he got it because he was cheap and it was one of the few toys that is geared for 6 month olds that is something different than the same old thing. The idea of a mailbox toy just didn't seem appealing to me. So of course, it's one his absolute favorite toys.

The concept is simple enough, it's a mailbox. The front opens, it has a slot on the top to drop letters into (3 plastic "envelopes" and a "package"), the back is open, and there are little fun, interactive decorative features... A snail with a ball for a shell that spins, there's a roller on the side with numbers on it that triggers songs, a push button butterfly in the grass, a flag on the side of the mailbox which also triggers songs, and a red bird that bounces on a spring which also triggers noises and songs. Of course the mailbox door opens and closes too to another series of songs and sounds. There are two modes, a musical mode and a learning mode. I personally do not find the voice of the mailbox to be annoying as some others have found it to be, but I will admit I can tune this stuff out pretty easily. The musical mode makes me a little nuts, so I generally just leave it on learning mode.

I love the overall interactivity of the mailbox. With so many trigger points my 7 month old son (though he's played with it since he was 4-5 months old) gets really engaged and will play with it for awhile. He is too young to insert the envelopes into the slot on the top, but he a lot of fine motor skill building by constantly picking them up and he loves putting them in his mouth. He has just figured out that the package rattles, though he still really prefers to goof around with the letters. He will play with them with the mailbox and he will take them out and play with them on their own. Also, he is a little too young to regularly open the front of the mailbox by himself. While it's not hard to open, it does stay closed really well and is still a little beyond him developmentally. I know that a lot of people complain about the open back, but honestly I really like it. As I said, he's still too young to figure out how to use the slot on the top of the mailbox or open the door, but he can take the letters in and out through the back, which he loves to do. I love leaving the front open and handing the letters through to him. This is a great toy in that just in seeing how it grows with him and he's constantly making discoveries with it (he just discovered the bird on top and loves it) and I feel like this is a toy that will grow really nicely with him as he figures out the rest of the features. It's very sturdy and well-built, so I'm not worried about how it'll withstand over time. Also a big plus is while it does take batteries, they really last for a long time (daily use for 3 months and it's still on the factory batteries) and if they do die, it doesn't impact how the toy works (for those who hate the songs and voice, it may be a win/win).

The major drawbacks with it is that while it does have a decent sized, sturdy base, it is top heavy and it falls over when he yanks on it. Now that he's sitting up on his own it's less of a big deal (as you can see in the video, he still plays with it), but when he played with it on his belly he would constantly yank it down and hit himself in the face with it. The big issue we're having with it now is that it's the perfect hight for him to use to try and pull himself up and he will pull himself up, steadying himself by leaning on the top of the mailbox. Because it is top heavy, when he puts his weight on the edges of the mailbox, it topples over and he goes along with it. So for right now, he can't really play with it without me right there to watch him like he can some of the other toys, like the Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn Cookie Shape Surprise, but I know he will grow out of it.

This is really a great toy and he's gotten a lot more from it then I could have ever guessed he would (and so have the other kids who've used it... It really seems like a big hit with all ages). I've attached a video of him playing with it to give an idea of how it works, the songs and sounds it makes, to show the issues he has with yanking it down, and also how much he really likes it (he actually gets way more into it normally but the red light on the camera distracts him). The beginning of the video has the mailbox in "learning" mode, and the last little bit is in the song mode. The letters are on the floor in the background. I hope that it helps show how engaging it is, but also lets people who're getting it for similarly aged little ones (or little ones of similar developmental levels) see how they might use it.

Our 18 month old son loves this toyopening and closing the door, putting the packages in and taking them out, making the music and sounds play. At first I didn't like or understand why there is no back panel on the mailbox. This can be a pain because the letters fall out the back when my son sticks them through the mail slot on top. However, I have since come to enjoy the open back, which allows me to "sneak" either my hand or an unexpected object into the mail box and surprise my son when he opens the door. So far it has been quite durable.

I don't usually review a lot of items but this one we are very very happy with(my daughter has so many I would be at computer all the time!) We picked this up as a spur of the moment purchase. She loves it! My daughter is 21 months and doesn't say a lot of words so I liked how it when you open it it says "open" and so forth..I am hoping this will encourage her to say more words! Cute little toy and worth the $$!
