Smiley is cute and colorful. It creates two sounds: rattle and squeaking. It's a little heavy and big (to hold) for my 4 month old. It keeps his attention for a few minutes only. It's a bit thick but when he's older I'm sure it'll be better for teething.

These are the best tub crayons I have found for my 2 yr. old son. The shape of the animals fit his hands and are easy for him to hold. Also, these are the only tub crayons that the crayon doesn't slip out of the holder when my son is trying to write on the bathtub wall. I do have a tip for all the parents who want to refill the cute round bottomed holders and not have to purchase more each time the crayon in them runs out. I have found if you buy the regular crayola triangular crayons (they come in an 18 pack for $5), rip off the paper, cut the crayon in half and push it down into the animal holder till you hear a little click noise (that means the crayon is basically locked in place in the bottom of the holder) and presto! you have a refill for your cute round tub crayons. I have found the triangular crayons wash off just as well as the ones that come packaged with the holders (I think they are even the exact same crayons!!) I'm not sure crayola wants this secret out, because now we can just but the triangular crayons as refills and save our money by not buying a whole set when the crayon in them runs out!!

My daughter loves these crayons, and they last a long time, and we have never had any problems getting them to stay in the holder or cleaning the marks as others have said. I also love that they float, keeping the crayon part out of the water so that it doesn't turn to mush like other crayons we have tried. For a long time my big concern and I know others have felt the same is that the refills are IMPOSSIBLE to find, and it's expensive and wasteful to buy a whole new set of crayon buddies each time you run out. Finally I emailed Crayola about the refill situation, and it turns out, they don't even sell refills at retailers. However, they sent me a package of 12 refill crayons, free of charge. So overall I love the product; and I'm happy that I was finally able to GET the refills, but I knocked off a star just because of the hoopla you have to go through to get them!

My 15 month old loves these! He draws on the bathtub and the bath walls. The crayons fit in his hands great unlike regular crayons or triangular crayons.

The purple-pink shade does leave a stain behind that requires extra elbow grease, but overall these are great.

They float in the water and still draw even when they get soaked. In fact, my son draws on the floor of the tub while he bathes too.

The crayon kept falling out of the holder and would not stay in. I put them back in according to the directions and they still fell out.

Tomy Pic 'n' Pop

I bought it for my 15 months old daughter. She is not walking yet so she can't play with it yet. But my 19 months old nephew loves it. It is short though, my nephew bends to hold it and it looks very uncomfortable. Why would they make such a nice, well made toy so short? It looks tall in the picture but it's actually 15 inches. plus kids don't hold it straight when they push it so it's even shorter than 15 inches that way.

My 2 year old son loves pushing things around the house, so I thought this toy would be perfect. We pulled this out of the box and were in SHOCK at how little it is. I would say it would be good for a 1 year old, but there is NO way they would grasp the concept on how to work it. My son doesn't get how to pick up the balls and the levers are too stiff for him to really shoot out the balls. The thing is, he is still running around with it, but it is so short he keeps falling over because it is completely ergonomically incorrect! It is such a cool concept, what a bummer that is was so poorly designed.

I bought this toy several months ago. I liked the idea of how it works+no annoying sounds or music+development of gross motor skills. I was disappointed when my daughter who was 18mos by that time refused to play with it. She could not press the buttons on the handles-you should press hard enough,neither could she pick up the balls with it. To pick them up you have to angle the toy a bit, not just hold it straight.

However, now when she is 21mos-what a huge difference!!! She plays with it almost every day, though just for several minutes. She got the idea of how it works and mastered the needed skills!! Our lil friend who is 25 mos also loves this toy:)

So, the time has come!!

and yes I wish the handle was taller!

This is the worst toy I have yet to encounter. We bought it for our 19 month old son for Christmas. It is next to impossible to pick the balls up with the device. You have to have the unit straight up and down. My husband and I had difficulty doing this and it was just frustrating for my toddler. The shooting mechanism wasn't easy either and also only worked with the unit strictly vertical. I would not recommend this for anyone. This toy needs a major redesign. The idea is great, not the toy itself. I also want to add that I agree with other reviews, that the toy is too short. My son had to bend to push it, so it doesn't even make a good push toy.

The little girl I got this for loves it. She likes to play with it on the days her mom is not vacuuming the house. The toy could have a better way to trap the balls. Some times she likes to trap and shoot over and over again but when its not picking up the balls shes just throwing them around. Great toy.

This is an extremely durable puzzle with pieces that fit well, but not too tightly, into their places providing an excellent challenge for my one-year-old.

My 15 month old daughter loves the large knobs on this colorful puzzle. Being fascinated with animals and aquatic life makes this puzzle a real draw for her. Although she struggles to get the pieces back in the puzzle due to her limited dexterity at this time, it doesn't deter her from playing with it at all! She has discovered that the pieces make great noise makers, too, when they are clapped together. The wood is a bit soft; so it will show indentations over time. However, it is holding up well so far... even through teething!

This is great for a first puzzle. Between 11 and 12 months my daughter started becoming interested in putting items in boxes so I bought her some Melissa and Doug puzzles after doing my research (although some of these are made in china they undergo strict testing). The large wooden nobs are great for little fingers to grab and very durable.

These pieces are fine unless your baby bites his/her toys--umm, every baby I know!--which may be why they are recommended for 2 year olds, but I am having trouble imagining what 2 year old would play with this boring puzzle. My daughter (10 months) likes it a lot, but she bit the head off the turtle in 10 minutes and now wants to gnaw the rest of the coloring off the other pieces. Sure, it's entertaining, but I don't want the printed paper in her tummy!

Just pulled this out of the box. Size and color are great for my 18 month old. But the puzzle is wrapped in a tight clear plastic, and I can see three places where the fish sticker is already peeling. (This is not painted!) And right next to the tag stating this is wood is a tear in the plastic where the pressed paper/pseudo-wood/possibly MDF material is pealing apart in about 15 layers. Not even opened or touched by my child and it's already coming apart. What a disappointment! I will be returning this immediately, unopened.

Bright Starts Bloomin Blocks

I purchased these blocks for my daughter at around 4 months along with a few other toys. Once we got home however, she only had eyes for these. Now that she's 8 months, she still loves them. Her favorite block is the one with the crinkly butterfly on it. She loves to "talk" to it or chew on it. Considering she plays with them everyday, they take quite a beating and still they look like new. No holes and pretty easy to keep clean. I'm very happy that I made this purchase and I would highly recommend!

I am actually pretty crafty and had made my own version of these taggy type blocks but they were not holding my daighters attention and did not have much texture to them. She recieved these as a gift and absolutly loves them. They stack so much better than my homemade ones and are very colorful. The sounds from the chimes and crinkle paper seem to captivate her as well. We love them and highly recommend them as a gift!

This giant hat is not sized for a one-year-old. It also came to me very wrinkled and frayed in the wash. It is also white with a very faint blue whalewhich is not visible in pictures. Absolute waste!

I know one other reviewer said it was a lighter blue than shown, but it's not even close!! While the picture shows a royal blue design that might have been done with a fabric marker, the actual product has an embroidered design of the same general layout. It is a sky blue that I'm not sure will show up on pictures, and the whale's belly and water spout are light gray/white. It's cute, just not very visible on the white background of the hat. The colors are what attracted me to this hat in the first place. So disappointed; wanted my son's first birthday to be wearing this for some cute pictures. Will either have to hit this with a fabric marker myself or buy something else for the color I wanted!

Chicco Great Shakes Monkey Toy

This toy is easy to secure to a high chair, car seat or stroller and it has so many things to occupy my six-month-old daughter. She likes the rattling beads in the circle, the crinkly banana, his scarf and the plastic pieces on the feet. She still doesn't quite "get" the shaking part, but she grabs for it again and again. This is a good value for a toy and it is holding up well so far.

I dont know what it is about this monkey, but babies love it instantly. Leg vibrates after you pull the leg. No batteries. My baby would rather chew on the rings than the teether foot. Baby is 5 months old.

Got this as a gift for baby in December 2011 and its kinda just been sitting around mixed up with other toys. He had something similar in a chicken for the carseat so I decided to switch it up. My little guy loves this toy! He just lights up and plays with it the entire ride. Even sometimes falls asleep w/his hand tight aroundt the ring. Great toy for developing baby. Mickey Plane Ride-On Toy

My 11 month old son received this airplane from his grandpa for Christmas. He has not gone a day without playing with it. The music and movement of the propeller get him so excited. He isn't walking yet, but he sits on his knees next to the airplane and presses the buttons over and over just to see the lighted propeller turn. He loves to put out his hand to stop the propeller. As others have mentioned, the propeller is made of soft foam, so I think he likes to feel the soft "thud" as the foam makes contact with his hand and see the propeller's motion stop. He's learning cause and effect!

The shape sorter is an added bonus. We have not had the problem of the recorded voice saying the wrong shape name. He likes to push the shapes into their respective holes once I set them up for him (I push them slightly into the holes first and he does the rest), and it won't be long until he's doing it by himself.

This is the perfect toy to bring to the grandparents' houses when we visit. It's small enough to stash in the trunk and keeps him entertained while we're talking.

The shape sorter activityt has a major flaw in that when you put in one shape, for example, the star, it says another character and shape. I tested each shape. Mickey will say a different shape than what you put in.

This is not good for teaching my son the correct names of shapes. I can see how children would be confused by this. Definitely needs to be fixed.

The shape sorter has some technical issues as the star says ,"Triangle," and the triangle with Pluto on it says, " Gee Minnie, it was sure swell of you to join us." Sassy Tactile Tunes Keys Teether Toy

Bought this for our 5 month old son at Babies R Us. It seemed like a good choice for him since he was teething and was drawn to the bright colors when he saw it in the store. The sounds are fun and he quickly figured out how push the buttons over and over again. So beware if you are easily annoyed because the sound is loud. He liked chewing on the different "keys". Unfortunately the part that makes the sounds is too heavy for little hands so he tired of it quickly. Then it began to make strange sounds all on its own and died shortly thereafter. The little circuit board or whatever must not be able to handle baby drool. I think it shorted out. All in all it lasted about a month and my son would never play with it for very long. I wouldn't recommend this product.

Bought this for my parrot who loves toys that make music or sounds and/or flashing lights. She will mess with this a little bit but it isn't very loud and most of the sounds are garbled, would not recommend this toy.

Yes, I got what I paid for, but it wasn't what I hoped for at all. The quality of this item is poor, the ball doesn't stay together and it is and the plastic is thin. I wish I had paid the extra bucks for a better quality toy.

My 21 month old love this toy. He can take it apart and put it back together. He learned where the shapes go in a matter of a few days. We have other shape sorters and this one he plays with for hours.

I purchased this after reading the only rating on this item at the time which was a 5 star review. The ball will not stay together. Its so weak the baby pulls it right apart. It doesn't stay together long enough for the baby to put the shapes in the slots. This was a waste of money but at least it didn't cost much. Invest in a more expensive sorter that stays in shape.

Lil Characters Unisex-baby Infant Lobster Costume

I was so excited to find this costume. We live in Southern Louisiana so for us it is a crawfish but it works perfectly. The quility is better than expected and it is even cuter in person! I can't wait until my little man's first Halloween and he is sure to be a hit!

Overall I was pretty happy with this costume. It arrived quickly and well packaged. It was pretty much as advertised. The quality of the costume overall seemed pretty good, which I would assume it would be given the $40+ price tag. However, there were some disappointments. There was a spot where the stitching missed joining two panels together leaving a 1-2" long opening right in the middle of the chest which clearly should have been caught. I had to cut open the lining and hand stitch a repair. Also several of the snaps came apart after the first fastening. Again, I was able to re-crimp them with a pair of pliers. Finally, the bottom of the zipper didn't have a plastic base but just a simple piece of thread holding the two sides together. This stitch broke and the zipper started separating from the base. Again about 20 minutes to fix.

All this after the first trial fitting that only lasted about 5 minutes.

Once I performed all the above repairs, I was quite happy with the costume. It held up all Halloween eve and the "feet" have become a favorite slipper substitute.

Great item but caution needs to be known about household animals. The material of the costume collectOutfit s animal hair and other debris like crazy so invest in a lint brush. Also, if you live in colder climates requiring layering (Northern USA and Canada) I suggest you go with a bigger size than you need so there is room for the clothing underneath.

That all aside the outfit is adorable and I am soo looking forward to our son's first Halloween wearing it.

My son loves the eric carle collection. He especially likes this one because it makes a very cute "ribbit" noise! They are easily moved... ours go from the playpen to the floor to the stroller, gets lots of use!

Baby loved this toy until the noisemaker (ribbit ribbit) quit working. He still likes it, but not the first or second toy he reaches for anymore. Wish I could have returned/exchanged it, but just missed that window when it broke.

It is also easy to clean which is great since some of his other toys are not so easy to clean. He loves to squeeze it and hear the ribbit sound. This helps him to associate the ribbit sound with frogs. It is very durable and a good size for small hands. It is not to small that it would be hard for his little fingers (without much dexterity) to hold onto but not so big that he couldn't hold it in one hand. It is light weight and easily attached to carseats, highchairs, etc.

We found out our daughter had torticollis when she was 2 months old (she has one neck muscle shorter than the other, which causes her to look in the same direction all the time). We needed to do exercises and structured play with her at home, with a focus on getting her to actively turn her head from side to side. At 2mos, she was not interested in many toys, and we had a lot of trouble.

We received this frog as a gift, and it has been a life saver! Chewy Tube Knobby Texture

I happened to find out about this from a speech pathologist and she mentioned off-hand that they're great for teething molars. When my toddler started getting her two year molars, I immediately ordered one. As soon as I handed it to her, she shoved it onto those teeth and chomped down. I was glad to give her something that helped her teething pain! The regular baby teethers stay in the front of the baby's mouth, which doesn't help with molars. It's kind of expensive, but totally worth it!

These things are such a God send for a baby trying to cut a tooth. He LOVED it and uses it all the time :)

This little crab toy is awesome! It is for a 6-month to 4 year old child. The first one we got several years ago broke and we want to replace it for our new grandchild. The sound and the sideways movement make it unique!

My toddler loves this toy. Although it's a crab, there is no finger-pinching (haha), and the noises it makes are clear without being too loud. The toy is very durable and can really take a beating. My son pounces the crab and tosses it around all the time, and it shows no signs of wear. Also, it's really cute and very animated.
