Kathe Kruse toys are great. My daughter loves the doll. It has a great clutching ring and must taste good because she seems to love holding it and chewing on it. Toy still looks new although a bit slimy. I bought a pink one as a gift. Great shower gift.

I was looking for some "green" toys shortly after my son was born and stumbled aross Kathe Kruse's Ring dolls. At first my son was not that interested in it, but as he got older he liked to chew on the ring and on the doll itself. Now that he is 14 mos. old, sometimes he grabs the doll by the head and brings him in the car or totes the doll other places. Very cute and durable first toy for a baby.

This toy is just not that interesting to my 4 month old. It seems overpriced for being just a piece of cloth with a wooden ring. Maybe he will like it more as he gets older.... It is awfully cute though.

I really wanted to give this toy five stars, because my toddler LOVES this cat, and it kept her busy for long periods of time on a car trip. Awesome! But the first day she played with it, two of the three buckles came off (the seams unravelled on the ribbons). I had to sew them back on with a tiny hotel sewing kit as she cried hysterically....not fun.

My niece is obsessed with buckles at the moment, so I thought this would be the perfect gift for her. She is 17 months old and pretty advanced for her age. The plush itself is great, very soft and high quality. My only complaint is that the buckles were very stiff and hard to work. I had a hard time getting two of them open, so there was no way that a toddler would have an easy time of it. Hopefully they will loosen with time. There was not a lot of play in the straps, either which made it more difficultwould have liked a little more wiggle room for little hands.

My daughter is very into buckles so this gift is perfect for her. The doll is cute and simple and she can clasp and unclasp the 3 different buckles leaving me time to do some chores. The clasps are difficult to unlock so it will take awhile for a toddler to get the hang of it.

Fisher Price Pull & Pop Pelican

This is so cute and charming but is totally useless as a pull along. It's very narrow and top heavy and it falls over if not pulled very, very carefully and gently two words which don't enter into the average todller's vocabulary. The revolving balls and flappy beak are a great idea but don't work unless it's being pulled along upright. If FP remade it with a fat body and heavier bottom half it would be at least a four star but as it is, I'd say pass on it.

My boy really likes this toy, but he didn't take to it till he was almost two, probably because it isn't easy to pull along. It falls down a lot. Now he's old enough that he loves the challenge and he plays with it a lot. We both really enjoy the sounds it makes too--the chuckle is great. It would have been nice if this toy would have been easy enough to pull when my son was younger, but it's turning out to be great now. It's teaching him to focus more.

My son received this as a gift for his first birthday and right away he played with the balls in the pelican's mouth but that was about it. As he started walking, we would show him how to pull it, but it would tip over EVERY time. If we can't do it, how do they expect an unsteady toddler to pull it without it falling over? Aside from the colorful balls (which we have plenty of others), there was nothing useful about this toy. Don't waste your money.

You may think the price is a little steep for ONE musical item but my son loves this toy! Our local library has them for the toddler program and after several weeks of him going straight for this cage bell toy (and refusing to put it away when it was time to clean up), I decided he had to have one. Pleasant sound, bath tub safe & lots of fun!

Well made, durable and makes a nice "sleigh bell" sound. I like the colors. We ended up with a blue and green bell, which works for my boy/girl twins. It'd be nice to be able to choose color. They like to play with this the handle is easy to grip.

I made a mistake of not reading the description properly to realize that you only get 1 bell for the price of $10.99 (and free shipping. My 6 month old daughter can easily hold the handle, and you definitely do not need to shake this bell to make it rattle it's very sensitive. But for the price I think you can do better elsewhere.

Purchased this bell for my 17 month old granddaughter who loves anything musical. As soon as I showed it to her and jingled the bell she smiled. We went to the store and she took it with her. I would say 'jingle jingle jingle' and she would pick up the bell and jingle it and laugh. It's the perfect size for her little hand and so far seems sturdy enough but time will tell(that's why the 4 stars). If your child or grandchild enjoys musical instruments and enjoys the sound of chimes she/he will love this bell.

My fifteen month old granddaughter loves walking around my house ringing a bell. Originally she used a ceramic bell that I bought at a flea market--until she dropped it on my kitchen tile floor. That was the end of the bell so I decided to look for a different one that easily rang and was durable. This bell is it. Here is why I like it:

1. This is easy for my granddaughter to grasp, not too heavy for her to hold, and rings easily and loud enough to be heard.

2. This is durable and sturdy. No more worries if she drops it or bangs it against something.

3. The colors are bright and vivid. However, I deducted one star because of the inability to select the color of your choice. I received a bell that has a turquoise handle and a pink body--just right for a little girl, so it worked out fine for me. But I cannot understand why, unlike so many other products, a consumer cannot order a specific color. It just makes no sense to say that assorted colors are available, but that nobody can actually choose any of them. Kind of like going to an ice cream shop that has 29 flavors and being told that you can't actually choose your flavor.

4. A number of critical reviews complain that they thought they were getting three bells instead of one. Sorry, but to me it was readily apparent that I was getting only one bell. Also, the price seems to have dropped since some of the older reviews were written.

Bottom line: This is a very nice bell for children. I just wish that a specific color could be ordered instead of receiving a random color.

Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Glider

My wife and I were deciding between a Fisher Price two-way swing or this two-way glider as our "tool" to help put our newborn to sleep when she's less than cooperative. In the end, we decided on this "glider" because of the ability to pick it up and move it around. Here are my thoughts: (1) at first, I thought it was more like a solid infant car seat with a motor attached beneath. It is not. It's just a hammock draped over a tubular metal frame--quite flimsy. But it gets the job done. (2) The arch from which the toys dangle is NOT a handle that you can use to move it; it's just a non-weight-bearing tube from which the toys dangle. To move it, you grab two handles at the ends of the seat. (3) The motor is much quieter than what I expected after reading some of the reviews here. Maybe in a very quiet room, the motor noise may be noticeable. But the "noise" is never annoying or intrusive, and it doesn't disturb baby. (4) The faster of the two movement speeds is probably about right; any much faster and baby's head would get jolted back and forth. The slow setting is very slow. (5) The seat is rotatable 360 degrees, so the back-and-forth movement is not just limited to 2 positions. (6) The music tends to be on slightly louder side even on the softer setting, but it's not a big deal. (7) As with all such seats, baby's back is slightly arched, and I'm not sure it's healthy for baby to sleep long term day in and day out in this posture. But for calming baby to put her to sleep, it's fine.

My wife and I went back and forth between this and the portable swing ( fish theme). I am so glad we chose the glider. My son LOVES it. He has hated his crib from day one so the only thing that gets him to sleep through the night is the glider. I wish they made an adult sized one sometimes, it looks comfy and the gliding motion is pretty smooth. The motor might seem a bit loud but I think my son finds it soothing. It runs fairly constantly and we are only on our second set of batteries (first set was cheapies and they still lasted a decent amount of time).

This is one item I would buy again!

Much like the other reviewers, our son was only able to sleep in his car seat or swing (due to reflux) and for no more than a two to three hour stretch at night. I saw this glider in an insert in Baby Magazine and hoped it was the answer to our prayers. It was! The first night we tried it out our son (eight weeks old) slept for six and a half hours!

Nearly two months later he is still sleeping in it for eight to nine hours a night! We have a "mini co-sleeper" attached to our bed and the glider fits in it perfectly. If he starts to stir or is startled by something, I just reach over and turn the glider on and he falls back to sleep!

Since we bought this glider, we have gone out of town twice and did not even consider leaving it at home. Yes, it is big and not the easiest thing to travel with but the sleep we get each night is well worth the trouble. He will be four months old tomorrow and I am dreading the day that he outgrows it. Hopefully by then he will have also outgrown his reflux.

The Soothing Motions Glider is wonderful and we credit it for the return of our sanity!

The good: The gliding mechanism in our unit has lasted six months. I never thought it would make it that far! The sound quality of the music is very good. This is a very good little bed for newborns, I must say.

The bad: The gliding motion is too slow even on the fast setting (icon of a hare versus a tortoise, or low). To actually rock a baby to sleep the gliding needs to be faster. There is no calming vibration option, a huge omission.

The ugly: I would say the correct price for this glider is $45 or less.

Pokemon Child's Pikachu Costume

Mask is wonderful and durable but body suit is very thin and tail is glued to back. tail fell off the first time my son wore the costume and you could see right through the body suit.

For $30.oo I would have thought this costume would have made it to Halloween! My son wore it once to a party a couple days before Halloween and the tail ripped off the back just from him sitting down. He loved the costume but I thought it was cheaply made.

The facemask arrived broken, and the costume visually looked too small. The tail itself looks very cute and the costume would be nice, I just wished it would have fit. The facemask isn't ergonomic in any way and is flat. It doesn't conform to any facial structure.

Overall this toy is very cute. The first concern I had when ordering it online was that if my son fell on the toy he might hurt himself, but the wooden stackers are held to the bottom wooden piece by an elastic piece so they bend when pressure is put on them. So if a kid was to fall on the toy they would bend down and not poke them. That being said, my son who just turned two has a hard time stacking these, lining up the small whole with the wooden piece is hard, he does get frustrated at times.

Infantino Rockin Rings Stacking Game

I bought these in a store yesterday. They were inexpensive, but felt light and possibly cheap. I thought they wouldn't be as good as the Fisher Price ones that I was familiar with. However, my 7 mo. old seems to be enjoying them. She dumps them off the ring, bangs them, and puts them in her mouth. I like that they have different textures (to help her differentiate) and that they are light enough for her to easily hold. I wish they were BPA free (I didn't see it on the package), but she doesn't keep them in her mouth to chew on them thankfully.

I got one of these as a baby shower gift before my son was born by a friend whose sons have the duck and the frog. Now, at 7 months old Mr. Bear is an integral part of our bedtime routine. He lives ONLY in the crib (although there's one in our babysitter's travel crib for naptimes) and my son loves to snuggle up with him at bedtime. I feel safe having it in the crib with him because the blanket part is small enough that he could never get it wrapped around his head (although he does often sleep with it over his face) to suffocate him. Fisher-Price Winnie the Pooh Rumbly Tummy Pooh

The focus of this video review is on exhibiting the actual toy and its features, rather than my opinion (other than my five star rating is my opinion that this is WAY too cute for a grownup to like as much as I did). I'm not sure about the sound level in the video, but you should be able to hear Pooh sing his "My Tummy and Me!" song. Hopefully, you will find it useful to see the toy in action, rather than just a verbal recounting of its features.

Pooh is about 12 inches tall, when sitting. He stays vertical pretty easily, even when moving around. You can feel the hardness underneath the plush covering, but this isn't a true plush toy in the first place. This Pooh has a limited array of phrases, noises, and behaviors. Thus, it is well suited for the age for which it is designated (18 months and up). This is no Teddy Ruxpin toy. If you like Pooh, you'll probably like this. If you don't like Pooh, you're probably not reading this in the first place. TTFN. Ta ta for now.

The test subject here is my little 2-year-old granddaughter. This toy looked so cute, and like it would be right up her alley. She hasn't really tuned into Pooh yet, being more into Special Agent Oso and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, with a dab of Yo-Gabba and Ni-Hao Kai-Lan. But there's a really strong resemblance to Oso, so I figured "what the heck?"

Well, she loves it. It's plush; it's cute, it talks and sings. What more could you ask for?

Very sturdily made, as far as I can tell. Soft, cuddly and huggable. A good-sized product, perfect for my munchkin. The product picture is a very accurate representation.

Good value for the money. This toy should last for years, though I'm sure she'll tire of it before then. But then it will be passed on to someone else; either a future sib, or someone else with a small child.

I think this toy would be fun for little kids of either sex, too.

We saw this in the store and it was on try me mode. I thought it was so cute and my soon-to-be one year old loved it. I was lamenting to my older kids that it didn't do a little more (didn't realize it was only on try me). but we got it anyway. We gave it to her for her first birthday and she lit up when she saw it again. Then when we got it out of the box we realized it said more and was more interactive than we thought. His tummy rumbles and he asks for his honey pot and when you put it on his nose (not his mouth) he wiggles his nose around as if trying to get it out. then he thanks you. The song is very cute and he rocks back and forth when he sings. Oh, he asks for a hug, too. Very cute for the kid to learn to "take care of" pooh by feeding him and giving hugs. It is very well made, too. great quality... soft material... doesn't feel hard and robotic, either.

I think the box says 18 months and up, but I really think 12 months and up would be more accurate. also, my other three kids (3, 6, and 9) get a big kick out of pooh, too. me too!

my daughter got this for her first birthday and she is now 17 months old. five months later, this is still one of the favorite toys. she plays with it almost daily. she never gets tired of pooh... she hugs him and feeds him. so cute. it doesn't occupy her for hours, but I love that she goes to him nearly every day. she loves the song and loves that he moves. the price currently on amazon is amazingly good!!

I reviewed this once before and it got posted as the kid's review above. Not sure why but It did so here goes again. We really like Winnie the Pooh around here so when I saw this I thought it looked cute. When the package arrived my daughter opened it and tried it out right away. Pooh is cute when he wiggles his nose and sings. When you put the honey pot up to his nose he does the same thing. I see this as a toy that a child would really like for a day or two but grow quite bored with after that. I plan on making it a "once in a while toy" that is taken out occasionally so that the novelty doesn't wear off. I personally think that they are stretching the educational aspect of the toy. It does hae a slight educational benefit but not as much as they lead you to believe.

If you watch the video, my seven year old daughter obviously loves this stuffed bear. I think it is cute too, but I also think it could have been better. Of the two dances it does, one is good and the other is half-hearted. While it is neat that it sways back and forth and wiggles it's ears and nose, I can't help but think they could have done a lot more. A different song or a few more unique dances wouldn't have been too hard to program into this Pooh doll. Anyway, watch the video and judge for yourself.

The sheep rocker is amazingly soft and we love how the babies sit in the rocker and not on top.

We are buying the elephant as well fingers crossed it's as nice.

The rocker itself is ADORABLE! We used it for a photo shoot and it was too cute. As a rocker though it is pretty worthless. There really is no rock action to it. Basically if you want an adorable photo prop this is perfect, if you truly are looking for a toy, pass on this one.

I saw this elephant while visiting FAO Schwartz in NYC. I immediately fell in love with it for my 6 month old grandaughter. I was excited to see it on Amazon.com and ordered it right away.. When i received it, i was disappointed that the handle behind the ears was broken. After speaking with a great customer service representative, i decided when they came back in stock after Christmas, I would re-oder a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement came damaged, as well. ( it was torn, one rocker was loose and the head wasn't well connected.) I love the look of this elephant, but it is definitely not worth the money, even with the sale price i paid. I decided not to go for the third replacement. Customer service is exceptional, but product quality was less than mediocre and i wouldn't recommend this for purchase.

I was expecting glowing pink light up cheeks, instead it has bright, quickly flashing cheeks that are a little startling. My daughter who was 3 month when she got this doll, absolutely loved it, she smiled every time it played the song and saw the cheeks light up.

Its only been 3 months though and I think a wire somewhere came loose, because when you try to play the music, nothing happens, but the cheeks still light up.

I would not get this again, there are many toys that play music, but I refuse to spend money on something that is made so poorly.

We've enjoyed these blocks at our house. They stack nicely, they fall nicely, and when you throw one, you don't break anything. They smelled a tad strong coming out of the package, that's about the only bad thing I can say. The blocks have nice designs on them, they come in a variety of shapes, and they don't come in obnoxious colors. They also squeak when you squeeze them, which, with my kids, is a major plus.

So far my son isn't much into building things (he's 14 months), but he loves knocking them over. I practice my construction skills, he practices his destruction skills and we have a grand ol' time.

The blocks are soft, with clever animal "carvings" on their faces that correspond with a letter of the alphabet. X is some prehistoric fish that's still living. I think...

It doesn't create static energy. The set of blocks we bought prior to this set did that and picked up dust, which then baby put in her mouth. These are simply great to play with.

I love that the colors aren't the usual garish baby brights, and the illustrations are wonderfully done. My 7-month-old really enjoys these blocks both for building (demolition if I'm realistic) and chewing. She frequently reaches for them over other toys. It's nice that they aren't all the typical alpha-animals, too, because it allows for further learning when she's older. The only negative is that the blocks are obviously machine impressed, and several of them are a little warped in shape because the stamping is slight off. Not a big deal, but it means there are little bumps on edges or columns tilt, which makes stacking more difficult. On the whole, though, I would buy again.

After much research for safe/healthy toys I am glad I came across B.Toys. We got these blocks for my 9 month old son as well as the regular block set so he would have enough to build things. I really like these blocks, I don't have to worry about him falling on them or stepping on them like wooden blocks. He really likes tossing the blocks around as well as knocking down the towers my husband and I build.

A friend gave this to my daughter when she was 4 or 5 months old and she liked it right away. Now that she's 6 months old it is the toy she usually reaches for or creeps toward while playing on the floor. She has other more colorful, easy to grasp, plastic toys with bells and rattles, sounds and lights, but for some reason she is really fascinated by this snake. Even though it's a bulky shape and rather heavy, she likes to pick it up, mouth it and chew on it more than the other toys. She's also interested in how it can be contorted into many shapes. I like that it's nice quality with pretty colors. The green is more vivid in real life. I am ordering my daughter some more quality wooden toys after seeing how much she likes this one.

Sometimes the simplest is the best. I bought a bunch of wooden toys for our son's first Christmas because I wanted him to use his imagination, be curious and most of all I wanted to play with him too; not have a bunch of flashy lights and loud sounds babysit him. That said, we bought a bunch of Melissa & Doug toys (and Wonderworld) and I love EVERY SINGLE one of them!

This little worm is very durable and although it might be a little wide for some babies' hands to grasp, it wasn't a problem for our 8 month old. He likes to chew on it and watch me contort it into various positions (I love toys as much as any kid!). I love that it's simple enough that it will be a long lasting toy; he could play with this all throughout his childhood as an action figure, for instance.

What a smart toy. The pieces move in multiple directions, as opposed to just twisting one way or the other. It's hard to explain! But we love this wooden toy.

It seems a little wider than optimal for my babies hands , but my nine year old and I found manipulating it to be addictive!Its also wood, so if your baby likes to bang toys on self, others and things, watch out!
