It looks cute and that's why I bought it. But after the initial three-minute inspection of this toy when it came out of the box, my boy (9 months old at the time) completely lost interest in it. And no matter how much I tried to bring this toy to his attention over the past few months, he doesn't want to play with it.
These are our daughters "lovies". She takes them everywhere and they get filthy. Instructions say not to wash, but we have machine washed and dried ours multiple, multiple times (without the plastic ring), and they have come out fine except for some shrinkage. She doesn't seem to mind that they are smaller, and they sure look and smell better!
I thought this would be super fun for my toddler and preschooler, but they never play with it at all. Also, it's really difficult to see anything happening inside (watch the beads fall, or see the plastic layers they fall through...) because the outer plastic is faceted and ghosted and hard to see through. So you can't even watch what's making the noise. Not really a good toy.

I don't understand all negative reviews by the other people on here. Our 2mo old son loves this thing. It's the only thing that will calm him done most of the time. I don't think he cares much about being able to see it as the sound it makes. This thing isn't really intended for any child over...maybe...6-ish months so why would you buy it for a two year old?? My daughter thinks this is the coolest thing..but it is much bigger than what I thought..which is my fault for not reading close enough. So she is too little to really play with it b/c she can't hold it good and would hit herself in the head with it..I'm afraid when she is big enough that she won't be interested.
I got this for my seven-month old and he immediately loved it. It took him no time to learn how to press the blue handle down and get one of the peek-a-rounds gumballs to come out. The top only has room for four or five of the peek-a-rounds (it comes with four: teddy bear, candy, lollipop and ring), so I had to stand by and continuously put more on the top as he pressed the handle. Whenever the handle is pressed, the gumball machine plays a short tune. It also has a switch to turn the songs off or control the volume. There is a yellow turn handle at the front that makes a clicking noise when turned. My son really likes that too. One reviewer said this handle was hollow and dangerous. Mine is not hollow, so perhaps it was changed (for the better!). One thing I don't like about this toy is that it doesn't have a very solid base; my son easily, and frequently tips it over. That doesn't seem to detract from his fun though.

We got this toy as a Christmas present when our son was three months old. He is now a year and is still enchanted with it. We originally used to have him watch it to hold his attention during tummy time. His interaction with it has increased as his motor skills developed. He loves the gumball machine and the balls work as a separate toy since they are a great size for little hands and bang together very well. We just got this toy for my son for his first birthday and everyone loves it! The balls themselves are way cute, and the gumball machine is adorable as well. My 4 year old dauhgter calls it a toilet though, because its round with a hole and can be "flushed" lol. This toy also stores easily and the music it plays doesnt sound like nails on a blackboard like some toys we have had. Definatly a good buy.
These balloons were used for a shower just yesterday. They were perfect. This company is great also because at first they apparently got the order mixed with another one, and I received the wrong item. I emailed them and immediately they corrected the situation in time for my party.
These plates did the job. They were a bit flimsy but they held up for the party food that was served on them. They worked for what I needed.

This foam mat puzzle has many possibilities. The pieces can be lined up in order from 1-9, pieced together to form a square as shown, lined up and used as a "road" for toy cars, pieced together to form a box, stacked, shaped into a tunnel for toy cars, wet and stuck to the side of the bath tub, and much more. For such an inexpensive play-thing, children can come up with some pretty creative ways to play with it! It's foam, so if your child likes to chew on things, it could be dangerous as the foam tears and comes off easily. So it is not a good idea for babies or teething toddlers. Otherwise, pick your kids' favorite characters and watch them be entertained!
These disney princess little people are perfect for little girls who loves the princesses! My daughter will be getting them all for her birthday/Christmas! FYI... amazon is charging an arm and a leg for the little people. You can find them at Walmart and Target for much cheaper!
I work at a daycare program for toddlers and they have one in the classroom. It's a very good cushion and the inner stuffing doesn't become stiff or flat after wears and tears, and this is when the kids jump and tumble and flip it on hourly basis everyday. As an adult even me love sitting on it! The turtle cover can take off for washing and the color looks still great after many times. A little bit pricy, but very durable and colorful and cute!

Like everything that I have purchased from Amazon, the Kitten Tails Book by Jellycat is just fine. The same book is sold at the upscale grocery market where I shop, but I did not want to buy it there where so many hands were constantly touching it. My purchase from Amazon came wrapped and untouched---so preferable. The book is very colorful and my grand-daughter is intrigued with it. She loves the textures of the tails and the funny cats that are attached to those tails. The book is just the right size for a toddler or baby.

Bought this for my infant son. He is 5 months old and it is one of his favorite toys. He loves that is crinkles and he chews in the tails. I bought this item for several reasons. First, I am tired of plastic toys with a short shelf life (and requiring batteries) so I am replacing many items with wood toys that will be able to last for generations and handed down in the family. Second, my grandson loves things that spin (wheels, gears, etc.) and he is fascinated in watching them and observes enough to be able to attempt...but gets frustrated if he can't get things to spin very well (he even tries to spin rubber coasters on their edge...lol). I saw this and though it would be perfect for a 2-year-old to spin, plus it has the wheels he likes to rotate, and the spiral decor around the handle looks neat while spinning. It keeps his interest for a little while and he doesn't get frustrated with it "falling over". He also likes to scoot it across the floor. It is also very durable. For a top-like toy, it think it's a winner. It is definitely age-appropriate for the 2-4 year old toddler who is beginning to discover how things interact when they do something with it...basically a great little learning toy....and, it is MADE IN USA!!!! I would recommend it.
We have been very happy with this product line over all. Our grandson (20 mos.) loves the plane and fire engine. The boat, however, doesn't float in the bath very well tends to flip more easily than it floats. The squirting feature is ok but not enough to make it a good bath toy.

This little fire boat is okay. I'm a little disappointed because when it fills up with too much water the boat doesn't float. Also the squirting doesn't work very well. My son does like fireman Felix quite a bit and loves playing with him. Not a bad toy, just not a great one.
There weren't many reviews of this toy, so I thought I'd put a few notes out there for those curious. It looks just as pictures; the colors and bright and seem durable thus far. There were a few minor cracks in the paint, but nothing that most people would notice. The only things that surprised me were that (1) the cylinders don't come out quite as high as I might have expected, making me wonder how obvious it is to a baby or toddler's attention span that there has been much change (I would say they change position by about two centimeters, if that) and (2) you do have to apply firm pressure, either by knocking the levers with the hammer or pressing hard with hand to make the levers depress and the cylinders rise. I suppose I should have realized that from the fact that it is called a "pounder", but I guess I was somehow imagining the cylinders popping up quite easily and lightly. Still, none of these are drawbacks in my opinion--simply things that I may not have anticipated. Hopefully this review will help other buyers feel more informed! Overall, I do not at all regret getting this toy so far. My son is nearly 9 months old now, so he only takes the hammer and knocks it on the floor or chews on it and tries to grab and pull at the cylinders without grasping how to make them move, but I look forward to him figuring it out as he grows.
My son received this snuggly as a gift while we were still in the hospital. It is very soft and adorable! It was the first (and pretty much only) blanket or stuffed animal that he wanted to snuggle with. He is now 6 months old and sleeps with it every night. He loves to pull the ears over his eyes while he falls asleep. I have washed it dozens of times in the washing machine and it has held up wonderfully.

We got this for our (almost) 4yo, and he likes it well enough, but, my 18mo absolutely LOVES IT. I think this is one of those toys that is probably going to grow with my kids and be fun for at least a few years to come.
