Potty Elmo
The only thing that is a bit tricky for my daughter is when Elmo asks for a drink, you have to trigger a button type thing in his mouth with the cup, and a lot of the time she missed it and I had to help her. But, that was minor. He is SO CUTE and so much fun!My daughter is an Elmo fanatic and when we experienced resistance with potty training we thought "Potty Elmo" would do the trick. Unfortunately this doll was of little to no help in getting our daughter more interested in the potty, but I can certainly see why it would work with some children. This is how Elmo educates your child on using the potty: first he asks your child to give him a drink (you hear little gulping sounds as Elmo "drinks" from his cup), then he asks to be put on the potty. If your child waits, he asks a little more frantically ("Oh, oh, oh...Elmo has to go to the potty") If your child gets Elmo on the potty on time, he sings a cute little song about how he is learning to use the potty. If he doesn't make it in time, a little sound effect ensues and Elmo may declare "Whoops...oh well, accidents happen. Sorry". What's nice is Elmo doesn't always do the same thing. Sometimes, for example, he'll sit on the potty but he won't need to go. It makes it a little more realistic on what a child can expect during potty training. My daughter really enjoyed playing with Elmo and I do think it helped her understand the idea of potty training better, but she still remained obstinate about using the toilet. I do think every child is different, however, and if yours is showing a little interest in the potty, then Elmo just might do the trick in helping him or her along. And even if it doesn't work, you still get a cute doll out of it. My daughter is 5 and has been potty trained for a long time, but she still enjoys playing with her "Potty Elmo" from time to time. So in the end, all was not lost.
Best of luck!really helped my daughter want to learn how to go potty...with a 2 year old, anything elmo does they want to or will do...what a great way to emphasize potty training! For some reason I thought you could actually fill Elmo's sippy cup with water and he would 'pee' it out. This Elmo prentends only. He will ask for a drink when you press his hand, make drinking sounds, ask for more juice, and then tell you he has to potty. When you sit him on the potty he hums until his business is finished and a toilet flushing sounds. His underwear can be pulled up and down but do not come off entirely. My almost 2 year old loves him but still wil not sit on her potty. She knows when she has to go and will pull her diaper down when she does and even wipe herself with a baby wipe but forget sitting on the potty or the toilet. I don't know what scares her but seeing Elmo on his potty doesn't seem to help. She does like him and she'll play with him often but I still need to find some way to get her to sit on the potty. It took me a full year to potty train my daughter. She just would not go and sit on the potty. I tried a potty book, which had lots of rave reviews from other parents. My daughter loved when I read it to her, but nothing. A friend with 2 children recommended getting a potty doll. I found the Potty Elmo while doing a toy search on Amazon. I bought it since my daughter loves Elmo. I brought it home, and that night we practiced teaching Elmo to potty. Within one day my daughter was using the potty. No joke. It was worth the money.

First, the toy is adorable. Having said that, my daughter wasn't very interested in it. She was teething & puts things in her mouth & the wood ring has a funny odor to it. Maybe it's just the smell of the wood, but I wasn't comfortable with my daughter chewing on it with that odor & suppose splintering could occur if she were allowed to chew it. It looks like a teething ring after all.Read Best Reviews of Kathe Kruse Rainbow Baby Doll, Striped Here
I really hoped my infant would like to play with this, but she didn't really care about it. It is soft with a pleasant expression. The wood ring is a bit smaller than I expected but sturdy and a functional teether. Unfortunately after months of trying, we are passing it on to the consignment store.Tuesday, May 20, 2014

Jockey Dog Rider Pet Costume
My only complaint about the product is the lack of quality. The sewing job on the straps is not that great and is made out of cheaper materials. I guess I expected a little more from a $20 costume. I would expect this quality at half the price.
Now I just hope she will keep it on long enough to get a few good pictures on Halloween!Costume needs alterations to fit larger dogs. On my male greyhound, the strap around the neck fit fine, but the torso strap was a few inches too short. I made an 10" extension for the torso strap, and that allowed the costume to fit securely around the dog's torso, with a few inches remaining for overlap. The tag that came with the costume said it "Fits Medium to Large Dogs" and then lists a size chart (neck size and back length) on the reverse. The size chart should also list torso size, since the torso strap is key to holding the costume on the dog.
If your dog likes to run around, this costume will need re-adjusting during wear. During trick or treat, this costume kept sliding off the dog's back and was frequently hanging on the side of his torso.
Overall, this is an average quality mass-produced dog costume. It's cute and gets a few laughs from people who notice your dog has a jockey riding on its back.

I bought this for my German shepherd for Halloween this year. Once it arrived I was excited to put it on . When I went to I found out it was too small. It said it fit most sizes but I could tell it was a size for a small dog but instead of fussing and sending it back I just got sOme strips of Velcro I had lying around the house and extended the straps to fit. The jockey was a bit small on him but I loved it anyway. I'm sure I'll use it again and again because my dog who is a bit fussy didn't seem to notice it once it was on. I think its a great costume even though it was a bit small. I would recommend it but to those people who would get upset if it's not the right fit it's not for you. But for the other dog owners who know it's a one night costume who's dog doesn't want it anyway, I say go for it Did not fit my German Shepherd and he is young and skinny. I have to make some extensions to the straps. this was a halloween costume for my baby italian grey hound. It was bigger than I thought (probably would have fit a fat dashound or a beagle) but I cut the leather straps and made them smaller it was so cute she did look just like a little greyhound with her own jockeyFriday, January 17, 2014

Plan Toy Baby Walker
I think it is actually helping my baby to develop the right muscles for walking, unlike what they say about the round walkers (the kind that surround the baby). I like that it has a knob to tighten so the walker slows down.
It's bright and pretty to look at, better than those big plastic things. The blocks are of good quality.
My baby likes it !This is one of the best and affordable walkers on the market for the high quality it is. It's solid and sturdy wood with non-slip wheels (good for tile and wooden floors). It's well balanced and has an adjustable handle-bar for two heights, as well as a tension wheel to adjust the speed that your little one is walking. Forget the plastic ones--the wheel base is usually too small so they kick the wheels as they walk, they're too light-weight so topple easily, and the plastic wheels are inefficient and slippery on anything other than carpet (which has to be thin or the wheels will get bogged down). My daughter has used this walker since 10 months of age and she loves it! She could have used it earlier, but it took me some time to find the right one (we had borrowed an awful plastic one and learned our lesson when she toppled over while pushing it). We'll get years of use out of it as it's also fun to put things in and push around. This is a wonderfully well-made, durable wooden walker. The option to adjust the rear wheel resistance is excellent, except when a young child attempts to pull it backward to walk with it again. In that case, the front of the walker tips upward and often falls. Also, if my one-year-old son put a little too much weight on the handle either from behind or attempting to reach it from the front of the walker, or tried to pull up on it, it toppled over with him or sideways onto him. (The handle of the walker is what would actually fall on him, as the base is too low to the ground to do so.) He hurt his lip pretty badly on the handle one of the times he fell. I understand this is "user error" but how can you explain proper use to a one-year-old? I think Plan Baby could compensate for this by weighting the base a little more to help prevent it from tipping so easily. As much as my son enjoyed pushing this toy around and playing with the wooden blocks, I had to return it because I couldn't stand to see him fall over any more.
The overall idea and design of the walker is great, but it needs modifications. I wanted to offer other moms (especially those with rambunctious little boys) an honest review of my experience. I'm truly disappointed that it didn't work out for us.

My 11month old daughter loves this walker. we looked everywhere for a wooden walker and are really pleased with the Plan Toys quality. The wheels can be tightened so that less confident walkers do not go too fast, even on a wood floor. As they get more confident the wheels can be loosened. The bricks are very durable and although she is too small to build with them yet she loves to bash them together they even stand up to some chewing! I am sure this is toy that will last great purchase!Want Plan Toy Baby Walker Discount?
We got this for my 11 month-old daughter for Easter. She was already pulling up and cruising at the time, so we thought it was time for a walker. I love Plan Toys, so I jumped for this. Well, it ended up being a very bad idea. As much as this toy is adorable and all the things you're used to getting from Plan Toys, it is NOT a walker. Walkers are for babies who still need a little help walking. This thing feels like it weighs about 1 lb. Not only did it fall over constantly when she tried pulling up on it we also had the experience of it toppling sideways if she tried to turn it. I know it's meant for walking in a straight line, but any kid will try to turn it. She is not a heavy baby (6th percentile in weight) or an exceptionally strong baby, so that was just unacceptable. The only thing we let her use were the blocks that came with it (which are excellent) and we ended up returning it and buying the Radio Flyer Classic Walker Wagon instead. Much heavier, sturdier, and has a bumper on the front so they don't ruin your walls and furniture while walking. We have had no problems with the new product.I gave this product 2 stars only because I think it would be fun for a child who is already walking and running very well on their own and who wouldn't fall over when the product topples on turns. Also, the blocks were excellent quality, so I bought a set separately.

K's Kids Drop N Go Emma
Buy K's Kids Drop N Go Emma Now
We bought this toy for our 4 month old daughter for Christmas. She is fascinated by it and would crawl after it if she were able. Instead she reaches and rolls towards Emma when Emma rolls away. I agree with the review which said that Emma doesn't work on carpet. However, Emma works great on tile and hardwood floors. The music is not annoying and I enjoy watching Emma as much as my daughter does. Great purchase overall.Bought this toy for my 2 yr old niece. Initially she enjoyed the toy, she thought it was funny when the eggs came out. However, the eggs stopped shooting out of the toy shortly after. She was over it in a week.Tuesday, September 24, 2013
Melissa & Doug Wiggling Worm Grasping Toy
This little worm is very durable and although it might be a little wide for some babies' hands to grasp, it wasn't a problem for our 8 month old. He likes to chew on it and watch me contort it into various positions (I love toys as much as any kid!). I love that it's simple enough that it will be a long lasting toy; he could play with this all throughout his childhood as an action figure, for instance.

What a smart toy. The pieces move in multiple directions, as opposed to just twisting one way or the other. It's hard to explain! But we love this wooden toy.Read Best Reviews of Melissa & Doug Wiggling Worm Grasping Toy Here
Good quality, fascinating movement. It seems a little wider than optimal for my babies hands , but my nine year old and I found manipulating it to be addictive! Its also wood, so if your baby likes to bang toys on self, others and things, watch out! For fun and durability 5 stars, for age appropriateness 3 stars.Purchased this toy for my 2 year old child who has special needs. He loves mardi gras beads and I figured this was a much safer interactive toy, he loves it.Wednesday, September 18, 2013
Potty Training in One Day - The Potty Patty Doll
Buy Potty Training in One Day - The Potty Patty Doll Now
I looked and looked for a wetting doll as we planned to used the potty training in one day method. The cheaper ones all seem to be babies. I took a deep breath and forked over the cash and bought Patty. She worked. I don't have any complaints. We used her for about 20 minutes and don't plan on taking her out again until our 2nd daughter is ready to be trained. She will not be a toy. Potty Training in One Day worked. It is pretty intense but I am glad we did it and bought the appropriate doll. No poopy toddler diapers is worth every penny Patty cost me.Read Best Reviews of Potty Training in One Day - The Potty Patty Doll Here
The doll helped with potty training. It does, however, dribble a little around the legs.Want Potty Training in One Day - The Potty Patty Doll Discount?
I had no problem spending the money on Patty. I was planning on the toilet training in less than a day method and need a doll that wet itself. I figured since this company also was a proponent of this method it would be a great doll and money well spent. What a waste. Part of the training is a "dry pants" inspection. Couldn't do that because the stupid doll leaks. Dry pants inspection with wet pants doesn't work. I am very disappointed and irritated that I spent the money. Don't buy this doll.Thursday, August 29, 2013

Softso if I step on themthe kids roll over or fall on them we're ok! Soft and squishy to cheweasy to stackeven great in the pool or bath. These blocks are tops! My triplets have been enjoying these blocks since about 6 months and are still playing with them at 16months.Our 8-month-old received this toy set for Christmas. It seems like a great idea, but the rubber is so soft I suspected it might contain PVC (or even BPA for that matter, although it's soft). There is no mention of this on the product packaging, nor can I find any information about it online. I wonder how a reviewer knows it definitely does not contain either of these chemicals...?Friday, July 26, 2013

Earthentree Organic Dumbbell Rattle
The paint is varied in hue, which creates a lovely, attractive marble-like effect; the colors are also very bright and the finish is shiny. Mom loves the appearance, but baby (who has had this rattle from 6 months almost through 1 year of age) just doesn't see a use for it.These toys are wonderful. I bought a bunch for my grandchildren who are 1 and 2 years old. They both enjoy playing with the toys and I love that they are playing with something that I know are safe. Earthentree makes a great classic toy that your children will be sure to love. I would highly recommend these for your children. They are certain to be some of their favorite toys and you can feel good about supporting a company that support artist who are making homemade toys. So many toys are made in mass with plastic and its absolutely wonderful to find classic, timeless, well crafted and nontoxic toys. Absolutely wonderful!
