Bought this as an impulse purchase, mainly because at work my team is under a lot of stress so I like to bring some fun and silliness to the office. Worked great it was a very bad day, deadlines were tight and nothing seemed to be working right, so I walked out of my office wearing the nose. Very effective a lot of laughter and suddenly the day was much better.

The nose has now been adopted by the team and is attached to a notice board where anyone in need of an emergency bout of silliness can grab it and wear it!

I bought this as a gag and didn't realize that it wasn't nearly as large as I thought it would be. It might work out for a child or a teenager, but it is essentially too small for an adult to be of any real use.

Still, I sometime pop this clown nose on when I am in my car driving and it is amazing that almost no one ever notices that I'm wearing it.

VTech - Pull and Learn Car Carrier

Both our sons love this toy. They both have sensory processing problems and problems with fine motor control and the toy helps them with both. Our infant development specialist recommended it and it was an instant hit. The 3 yo loves to stack the cars on it and has fun imagining what the anilmal drivers are doing. Our 17 month old plays with it, too. He loves to push all the buttons and listen to the noises and sounds it makes. It is good for developing fine motor control as they play with all the pieces. It's also stimulating enough to keep their interest. Like I said, it was an instant hit and after two months they both still play with it frequently. It's durable, they haven't broken anything on it and our boys are rough on their toys. I highly recommend it.

My son got this as a gift last Christmas when he was 8 months old. As soon as we took off the paper, he started playing with this while it was still in the packaging. He wasn't interested in anything else that was going on. Now he is 20 months old and he still plays with his "uck" for a good portion of every day. At one point it was sticking on the horn and honking constantly. I thought the button might be stuck, but once I replaced the batteries, it was as good as new. I think it is neat that each of the animals makes it respond differently when they are put into the driver's seat, and my son likes all the buttons and the cars. He'll even take the animals and line them up on the window sill. Apparently, they also make good teething toys, because he chews on their heads quite a bit. Considering the amount of action this toy sees on a daily basis, it it holding up wonderfully. I have had to reattach the back gate/ramp a couple times, but that's only because my son likes to throw/drop his toys to see what will happen and it landed wrong. It wasn't broken though, and popped right back on! Very durable.I highly recommend this toy and have bought it for birthdays on several occasions.

My son got this for Christmas last year when he was 1 1/2. He's now pushing 2 1/2 and he still plays with it all the time. There are so many songs, sometimes we still hear one we've never heard before. He has a great time playing with the little cars and putting other cars he owns on the truck. The little cars also fit Fisher Price Little People in them, so we play with it a lot with that and with his Duplo's. I love toys that can be combined with other systems. Great for any little one who likes trucks and rolling things around!

Ledges Blocks (36 Pieces)

HABA Wooden Blocks are a favourite in our home. They are a lovely quality, precision cut for building perfect structures. An heirloom quality that will outlast my children's rough pay and live to see grandchildren and great grandchildren. In all honesty every once and a while you will come across a piece that may have a little bit of a rough edge. When this happens we use a 400 grit sand paper and a few quick swipes ensures that the edge is satin smooth. Wooden blocks are a wonderful toy for open ended creative play and I highly recommend the HABA brand.

ABC HOUSE SMALL

My 1-year old daughter loves to play with the blocks. She clicks them together to make noise, knocks down my towers, and tries to stack one on top or remove just one block. She giggles when they fall and I pretend to be upset that my tower has fallen. I can see her concentrating when trying to grab just the top block, and then laughing when she knocks the whole thing down.

The nice thing is that this is a toy that can grow with her. She obviously can't tell letters yet, but knows some objects (like kitty-cat and butterfly) by their photos.

On the bad side: The house the blocks stay in is flimsy and not well sanded; the plastic shields that hold the blocks in place slide out easily and do not have very smooth edges; it's messy because the blocks go everywhere (but what house with kids doesn't have toys hiding under the couch anyway).

Overall great developmental toy that can grow with her developing mind.

First let me say that my son does enjoy playing with these blocks. However, this is a nightmare toy for me and I used to keep it out of his reach most of the time (until I recently just got rid of it all together).

* Blocks would just end up all over the place and my son did not have the patience to sit there and put them each in their little compartments (so I ended up cleaning them up every time). Granted, it was a good skill builder for him to help me put them away, but I ended up doing most of the work still.

* The tower is double sided, so just when you get one side filled up with blocks my son would try to turn it over to do the other side and they would all fall out.

* The tower does have little plastic sheets that slide in (very loosely I must say) to keep the blocks from falling out. However there is no way to keep that plastic from sliding out, which it constantly would. You could not carry this thing around with it's cute little handle because the plastic would easily slide off the track and all the blocks would come tumbling out (leaving a very frustrated child).

Overall: not worth the hassle. Now we just have a collection of wooden blocks that we keep in a big bucket.

Playskool Sesame Street Figures 2-Pack - Bert and Ernie

I bought Grover and his fire truck, Oscar and his garbage truck, Bert & Ernie and the Sesame St. playhouse for my 2 y/o's birthday...they make a great set and he loves all the characters. I don't think a single day has gone by that my little guy hasn't played with them. The characters and vehicles are all durable (and they've taken a beating in the last 2 months!!). I would definitely recommend these toys!

The four sesame street characters that I received were Bert, Ernie, Snuffy and Big Bird. I also bought Fisher Price Little People Zoo Talkers. I bought them for my grand daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves them. The order process was very easy and the figures arrived to my address sooner than expected. Squeak Easy Cat

This was one of the first toys my daughter learned to grab. She loves to smile and "talk" to it. We also use this toy for taking photos to get her attention. It seems fairly durable I've hand washed it several times because it gets eaten and drooled on all the time.

These characters were the perfect accent to lead guests to my baby shower. I had them laminated so they were much more durable & would last for a longer time since we plan on putting them in our nursery. The picture sizes definitely varied but the large ones were large enough to get noticed, while the smaller images were fun to 'hide' in certain places. I would recommend to anyone having a Dr. Seuss party & the lamination made them even more enjoyable for future fun!

I didn't read the description well enough. These are die-cast cut-outs rather than stick-on wall decals. I made my peace with that, but the colours are so drab that they hardly represent Dr. Seuss. If I had seen these in person, I would not have bought them.

when arrived the box was kind of torned, and all the caracters were all fold, if they ship the product diferently I would recomend this to everyone.

Was huge. Way bigger and louder than I thought. They actually copied some of the designs and painted them around their door in a softer smaller way.

Gund Baby My First Backpack 6" Beige Playset

I gave this toy to my little grandson when he turned one year, but he didn't really respond to it. Granted, he is only one year old and may develop some interest later, but I don't think it is colorful enough to grab attention. The toy looks brighter in the picture, then when you see it the product is a bit disappointing. Honestly I think this toy might appeal to an older child. As for durability, I don't know yet.

This is not suitable for young monkeys. I bought it for my friends child monkey and he tore it apart very quickly and did not seem satisfied with it.

This product was recommended in a Babys r us magazine, at least it was being given away by the cash register.

What was notable was that the article recommended buying fom Amazon, and that it was a nice safe baby toy with those wonderful car qualities kids enjoy.

What I found odd abou it was how out of whack the wheel alignment on one axle. I don't know of it is a defect or they do nt care.

I suspect the latter since as far as my 1 y.o. is concerned its fine and fun. However, she still goes after her sisters Mattel cars.

The car is very good as just the right size for an infant. But that also means it is easily wielded as something to hit her sister with.

It may just be the improving motor skills but she has gotten very good at that and this car actually makes it worse.

The car is solid. Easy to use, the baby likes it, and can definitely manipulate it very, very well. It looks good too.

I think it is worth the money to have a good toy that does not seem like it will harm her, that is good to play with and helps with motor skill development. In our case it has added an extra dimension for positive social skill development.

I bought two more at this price so that we have more colors.

Chicco Sing 'N Learn Kangaroo

Who gave this woman a singing job on this toy is beyond me. It is by far the worst voice I have ever heard. I am a terrible singer and I could do better. And why are two of the shapes on her underbelly making it difficult for even a 1 year old to figure out. I would opt for the fisher price picnic basket instead. It won't hurt your brain as bad either to hear that singing vs this kangaroo.

We got this for my son on his first birthday. It took him about a month before he finally got the concept of putting the shapes in the right part of the sorter, or pressing the buttons. I think the bottom two shapes (triangle & circle) are the hardest because it's on the bottom and at an awkward angle. He does love to push the nose, which makes it sing or make funny noises. I know it says 9+ months, but I'm glad I waited as many of the shape sorters I looked at said 1+.

Cons:

The only thing i do not like, is that if you put the shape in even half way, it will reward you with a noise/name the shape, color or fruit as if you had put it in all the way. It kind of defeats the purpose of positive reinforcement. Also, the kangaroo belly is deep (in the back), and sometimes my son got frustrated trying to take the shapes out of the belly.

My mother in law gave this toy to my daughter a little over 2 years ago when she was 1 year 9 months old. My daughter just turned 4 and still loves to play with Mommy Kangaroo. This toy is still in the same shape than it was when it was given to my daughter and it has been used a lot. It uses two AA batteries and you won't need to change them at least before a year of use.

The songs are very cute in both English and Spanish and the translation is accurate. I love it and I will strongly recommend this for parents educating bilingual toddlers.

Spanish is our native language. My daughter speaks both English and Spanish and this toy was very helpful as she got it even before she started to utter her first words in either language.

I think the toy is a little pricey, but it is really a good quality toy.

This was a gift for my daughter when she was 6 months, so we put it away until her 9m birthday. Even now, though, at 16 months, she finds it really frustrating. Why? Because the shapes are on the kangaroo's pocket, where they are hard to see and harder to get the blocks into. The bilingual design is clever, the music catchy, and the toy is cute, but it fails at it's primary purpose.

I got this for my daughter (7 months old) and she loves it! The "momma" polar bear is her favorite because if you push it's head down it has a series of adorable growls, she gets the biggest kick out of it. It comes in a handy little carrying case/"home" and includes a penguin and baby polar bear too. They're easy for babies to hold and play with and seem quite durable. I think this is a great christmas gift idea for anyone with a 6-18 month old. Simple but amusing. We love it!

This is a cute toy. However my 1 year scrapped the black paint off the penguin with his teeth. This was his favorite piece in the set and I had to take it away because I wasn't sure he should be eating the paint. the other characters are cute and get played with some, but I hated taking away his favorite part.

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Baseball

I got this for my grandson, who was 16 months and it's way too small. If I pull up the post in the center, which only moves up an inch or less, it's still way to small. It comes to about his knees or slightly above. Every time he hits the ball, the whole unit goes flying, in the ball attached mode. He's not tall of his age, so I'd say this is meant for children 1 year or under. For me, it was a waste of money.

The Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Baseball playset is a very fun toy for young ones. My son, who's eight months old, loves hitting the ball and/or tee and hearing the crowd of children cheer him on for a home run. When the child is young, the tee retracts and the soft baseball attaches to the base so that it doesn't go flying across the room. As the child gets older, the tee can be extended, freeing the ball and allows the youngster to hit the ball in a more realistic tee-ball fashion. Along with the cheers of the crowd, there's also "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" and a bat cracking noise to encourage youngsters to hit the ball. Players are stationed at first and third base, and when the child pushes one of them down, the other pops up and says fun phrases.

We've had this particular toy for about three weeks now, and my son can't get enough of it. He loves hitting the ball with his hands (and chewing on the bat). It has held up very well so far. Overall, I'd recommend this toy to anybody with a child old enough to sit up on their own. Hitting the ball helps their motor skills, whether or not they use the bat. Even if your child doesn't make it to the majors, Fisher-Price introduces them to baseball (or softball) in a fun way with this toy.

I got this for my nephew for Christmas. He loves to play with it. He is only one so he hasn't quite managed to hit the ball every time but he is working on his hand/eye coordination every time he picks up the bat. He loves to stand there and keep trying to hit that ball and then chase it around the house.

We didn't get this toy at first, we got another brand, that was a mistake. Came to our senses and got the FP Brilliant Basics.

We didn't even take it out of the box and my son was already all over it. He kept swinging the ball back and forth (there was a piece of plastic that held it to the stand). We took it out of the packaging and let him mess around. It illicit alot of giggles.

What he likes about it: the little people when you push one down, the other pops up and music plays. Whenever the ball is "hit" it makes noises. The ball is held onto the stand so he can swing but the ball stays put.

What I like about it it's going to grow with him! As he gets older and coordinated, the podium that holds the ball can be lifted to his "standing" height, and he can swing and hit the ball where the ball will actually go off the stand. (There's a little hole in the ball for the pin, but when the stand is lifted, the pin isn't there).

For the price of the toy it's a great deal with the frills that he's accustomed to the music, sound effects and the fun bright colors. Anything that keeps his interest beyond 10 minutes and has him going back to it means it's a MUST! We've got a very fickle baby.

Winnie The Pooh Infant Helmet

This helmet was way to small for our 7-month-old grandson. The product description should provide accurate measurements, so buyers know what they're getting.

A wiser course of action would have been to take our grandson to a store and have him try on one that fits.

My 2 1/2 year old loves Winnie the Pooh, and he was excited to see this helmet.

Brainy Baby 123's Board Book

My granddaughter loves the Brainy Baby television shows and I just knew she would like a book from the series as well. Great quality board book.

Each page has a number with the same number of a different item. It goes up to 20. Not really a story book but teaches counting. My son is 2 and can count to 20 thanks to this book.
