Gund Baby Love Our Earth Organic Cotton Patch the Puppy Rattles (Pink)
I've changed my rating up by one star. After washing, the toy fluffed up and feels better. Still not as cute and fluffy as pictured but a lot better than originally received. My baby seems to like it and that's the main thing I suppose.

Lamaze Play & Grow Stretch the Giraffe Take Along Toy
PLEASE READ!!
I LOVED this giraffe..this thing is the cutest toy ever and I had placed this on my wish list for my baby shower last May. Well..I ended up receiving the giraffe from a good friend of mine for my baby shower like I had wanted. My son had only played with it maybe twice since he's been born, so it's still pretty brand new.
My son is 10 months old now, and we just moved to a new house last week, so I re introduced him to stretch yesterday, (still in super new condition) and he had been sitting in his highchair playing with him, chewing and biting on him as most babies will do with their toys. It's to be expected.
I was upstairs unpacking, my son was in his highchair next to my husband while he washed dishes when my son started choking!!
He was choking on the white stuffing inside the toys foot! He had managed to chew the thing until it became unstitched at the seams and that's when the stuffing began to fill his mouth. He must have swallowed a majority of what he had in his mouth. Needless to say, it was a frightening moment for all of us!!
UGH! I am just so disappointed and now concerned for anyone else's children who may have this toy!
Upon close inspection of this toy after the fact, I noticed that the stitching is very poor. Not nearly strong enough to withstand the mouth of a teething baby! I noted other parts of the giraffes seams and stitching where it has signs of also beginning to become unstitched!
The very worst part is the fact that had my son gone un noticed and not attended to right away, he could have very well choked completely, or the round small plastic squeaker (also inside the same foot he opened) could have also come out and easily become lodged inside his throat! In fact there are multiple "perfectly sized pieces" including a small round ball rattle, a more flat circular shaped rattle and the disc shaped squeaker (the one my son almost managed to get out) inside each foot. Again..they are very poorly secured inside the giraffe and are a major choking hazard! I hate to think of how many babies go to bed with this toy and are possibly left alone with it when they wake up in the morning or after a nap. Parent unsuspecting, because these toys made by learning curve are supposed to be designed with safety in mind. Safety being what Learning Curves number one priority is. I would have never have thought to check those details since I was convinced this toy or any toy designed by a big name baby toy company was undoubtedly safe to let my baby play with.
This toy needs to be recalled ASAP! I have contacted Learning Curve /Lamaze RC2 department regarding this serious issue, and Stretch the Giraffe is on his way back to them for inspection. I have no doubt they will issue a recall. If I were you...and just to warn parents ahead of time..please refrain from buying stretch for now! Or if you have him already, take him away from your baby...especially babies with teeth!
In an effort to make me, the consumer happy, they offered me a new toy and that's on it's way now, but in reality, is that really enough? Or does that make up for the fact that we watched our little son choke and go through that trauma? Imagining the scenario if we had not been right there to help him...would the new toy suffice? It's horrifying imagining the things that COULD have happened and Thank God that didn't.
In addition I am going to be weary of the new toy and I am not even sure he will play with it until I inspect every inch of it, and now I need to sit with him every second while he plays with in fear that some little thing could go wrong in a toy that has been deemed safe from a reputable company I have grown to love and trust. I just believe this is an honest mistake but a serious issue that was grossly overlooked. I know that Learning Curve will do the right thing in the end.
I will never send my son to bed nor leave him to play with ANY toy, stuffed animal, or object ever again for fear that he will wake up, be alone and begin innocently teething while I am still asleep, and something similar to this may happen. It's a good thing that wasn't the case this time.
Please parents...check the babies toys! You just never know!!
Forward this to all your friends who you think may have this toy, may buy it, are expecting a baby, have infants and small children.

ABC HOUSE SMALL
The nice thing is that this is a toy that can grow with her. She obviously can't tell letters yet, but knows some objects (like kitty-cat and butterfly) by their photos.
On the bad side: The house the blocks stay in is flimsy and not well sanded; the plastic shields that hold the blocks in place slide out easily and do not have very smooth edges; it's messy because the blocks go everywhere (but what house with kids doesn't have toys hiding under the couch anyway).
Overall great developmental toy that can grow with her developing mind.First let me say that my son does enjoy playing with these blocks. However, this is a nightmare toy for me and I used to keep it out of his reach most of the time (until I recently just got rid of it all together).
* Blocks would just end up all over the place and my son did not have the patience to sit there and put them each in their little compartments (so I ended up cleaning them up every time). Granted, it was a good skill builder for him to help me put them away, but I ended up doing most of the work still.
* The tower is double sided, so just when you get one side filled up with blocks my son would try to turn it over to do the other side and they would all fall out.
* The tower does have little plastic sheets that slide in (very loosely I must say) to keep the blocks from falling out. However there is no way to keep that plastic from sliding out, which it constantly would. You could not carry this thing around with it's cute little handle because the plastic would easily slide off the track and all the blocks would come tumbling out (leaving a very frustrated child).
Overall: not worth the hassle. Now we just have a collection of wooden blocks that we keep in a big bucket.

green sprouts Organic Blankie Cool Soothing Teether

My son is four months old and teething. He really likes this teether blankie, it's small so it's easy for him to hang onto it. I chill the ring in the refrigerator before giving it to him, but he chews on the entire blankie. I like that it doesn't contain any harmful toxins.Read Best Reviews of green sprouts Organic Blankie Cool Soothing Teether Here
With trying to be fair that this item is what it is...I still have to give only 3 stars. This is very thin and not the material you would think! I was thinking thicker cotton with a bit of nubble to it...but not! The ring in the middle is super smooth with no texture to teeth on. My grandson whom just turned 6 mo just hates this thing.Love that is is Organic and free of toxins...and again it is what it is so can't blame the concept. Just too thin, bad fabric and smooth ring.

I bought this for my daughter because I noticed she preferred to chew on blankets instead of all the teething toys. She likes to munch on the knots and sometimes the ring. It's small enough to take everywhere and because of the ring, I can attach it to her stroller or high chair.Tuesday, April 29, 2014
Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker
Buy Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker Now
This is a good basic addition to any toddler's toy collection. We like it because:It's wood. The rings make a satisfying "clink" that plastic or cloth stacking rings lack.
It's easy for kids to do. We've had other stacking toys (like the Melissa & Doug stacking train) where certain pieces only fit in certain places, and that is frustrating for little ones just figuring out how things work. This one's simple and straight-forward.
It's inexpensive.
My older son received this when he was about 18 months and played with it quite a bit. Now his younger brother enjoys it, and has been able to put the rings on & off since about 12 months.
(Just a warning: the stick, or "ring holder" as we call it, often gets banged around like a hammer in our house this is partly why they like this toy so much, but it means close supervision is necessary!)

The top piece, the blue one pictured, is small enough to be a choking hazard. Just FYI. We removed that piece and threw it away. Also, the pole and the hole are small requiring really really good fine motor skills. For babies just learning this skill look for bigger poles and holes otherwise, it's really hard for them to do this one.
Want Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker Discount?
Back before I actually had a kid, when I was insisting on natural materials only, I ordered the Melissa & Doug Rainbow Stacker, even though I'm not a fan of M&D toys as a rule (I find many of them to be cheaply made). We got the classic Fisher-Price Rock-A-Stack as a gift when Jackson was born, and I remember scoffing a little. "Plastic! Look at this silly thing with the ridiculous foil shiny thing inside the top ring. They couldn't even make it a real rainbow, they ruined it putting those dumb little balls in the top half of the red ring. And why does it rock?! What kind of ridiculous popcorn-button-on-the-microwave unnecessary extra feature is that?"
Of course, six months later, the Rock-a-Stack is the undefeated champion of playtime, and the Rainbow Stacker sits unused in the closet. Jackson loves the balls in the red ring, he likes to make it rock, he can actually get the rings off and play with them, and I don't worry one bit when he teethes on the fat, squat, yellow ring-holder-thingy in the middle.
The rings on the M&D stacker, on the other hand, are heavy and hard for him to lift and manipulate, the red ball rolls away (and reminds me of a scary clown nose), and I'm always worried he's going to gag himself when he tries to chew on the tall, skinny wooden stick in the middle.
The Rainbow Stacker might be a great toy for a three-year-old, but it's not a good fit for my baby at this stage.

Fisher-Price Travel Doodle Pro - Girl
travel pro doodlers are preferred by all of the children over this (1-handle) doodler for several reasons:
1. This doodler has a single small handle on top of the item. The other has 2 larger textured handles, which the children use to stabilize the doodler while they write on their lap.
2. The erasing slider is more difficult to move on this doodler. The slider on the other style moves much easier, which is great for the very young children (my 3-yr old triplets).
3. The back on this doodler is UNFINISHED there are sharp edges everywhere! There is complete flat back on the other doodler, which is much more comfortable for the children (and much safer IMHO).
Bottom line, we love doodlers, but do not recommend this particular travel doodle pro. The double handle travel doodle pro is definitely the way to go. It costs less and is all around a better product. My baby girl is 18 months now and we got this for her a couple of months ago when we noticed our walls started to to turn into graffiti practice:). She loves it, it's very sturdy and well built-and despite getting thrown on the floor 10 times/day, stepped on etc it's like new. They learn fast how to erase what they doodle, the eraser is easy to use. And yes, it's pink. Recommend.

I bought two of these for my two girls, now 2 and almost 5 years old. We've had the Doodle Pros for at least a year now, and they still work even having been stepped on and used almost every car ride (daily!). These are totally worth the money. A bonus: our van isn't totally trashed from the girls eating to keep entertained, which used to happen before the Doodle Pros.Read Best Reviews of Fisher-Price Travel Doodle Pro - Girl Here
This was a great purchase and worth every penny. My then 18-month old played with one of these at a cousin's house and loved it, so we ordered it for her. She loves it and plays with it multiple times a day. It's a great learning tool too. It's very durable too. This is a really nice doodle board that my kids use all the time in the car. I had thought it would be slightly larger than what it actually is, but the kids still love it. Their drawings are improving all the time. I have purchased similar doodle boards before and will continue to purchase them as they go bad. They don't actually break, but after awhile (many months of using)the erasing ability of the slide stops working and the board stays darker and darker until it's really not useable anymore. This is a really good toy for kids who love to draw.Sunday, February 23, 2014

Beautiful bear. My daughter immediately fell in love with it. Soft, pleasant fabric, a pretty little face, a big tummy. Very nice toy. Would recommend.I bought this bear and then I realized I had bought two of them. So when they arrived,I decided to give the cuttie bear to my close girlfriend's grandaughter who is two years old. I was told that she just loves, loves, that cute very soft bear!! Thank you for making a little girl happy!! Thank you again. It was the first Gund bear I have ever purchased as a gift. It is hard to imagine how big it is judging by the size specified in inches, and majority of reviewers agree that they thought the bear would be a little bit bigger. Nevertheless, it is well made from good quality materials and looks very cute. It should be a very good friend for little kids not too small, but also not overwhelmingly big. The kid who got it loved it!Thursday, January 30, 2014

Sassy Sensation Station Suction Toy
pros:
in theory, you can attach to a high chair or bumbo tray and your baby won't be able to knock or throw the toy away
the bright, contrasting colors attract and stimulate your baby
quality construction my daughter can slam it onto a table and it won't break or crack
cons:
in practice, toy detaches very easily from suction cup. Also, my daughter at 4 months was pretty strong and was able to tear the suction cup off of the bumbo tray (one of the most suction-cup friendly surfaces around very smooth). Ruins the entire point of a suction cup toy. She does enjoy chewing the suction cup, I guess maybe that's another pro?
this plays annoying music and tones that you ***cannot*** turn off (you can't even remove the batteries, it's buried somewhere in one of the components). I was originally hoping to use this in a pizzeria or other casual restaurant to help keep my daughter happy while sitting in one spot, but not with this music
there isn't even a volume control. It is SO LOUD.
We haven't had the heart to get rid of this toy, because my daughter does like it. However, we do hide it. We curse whenever we accidentally bump it and get it going feels like we just teleported to a circus.A friend of ours gave us a suction cup toy for my son who just turned three months old. After attaching it to his high chair and seeing how excited he was to play with something while sitting up, I went to find some similar toys. I found this one at Target and figured I'd give it a try even though it said 6+ months on it. He LOVES it. It spins and plays sounds and music with every bat of the hand, it has really started to improve his ability to grasp objects as well. The suction cup works very well on both the high chair tray and the small tray that attaches to his swing. I'm looking forward to buying him several of these types of toys so we can rotate them and keep him entertained.

My baby loves this toy. It has been a lifesaver to put her in the highchair at the dining room table and actually get a chance to eat before my food goes cold. She is 5 months and hasn't been able to pull the suction off. It does come un-suctioned occasionally, but I find if I attached it with a little water right before she uses it it works great. She LOVES to spin the toy, and while I always seem to set the music off, she hasn't quite figured it out yet. When she does accidentally set off she's so happy. I received this toy as a gift and want to recommend it to every mom. I told my husband about the negative reviews its received b/c of the music, his comment was: "As long as she's (the baby) not crying, I could care less what the music sounds like". That about sums it up baby toys make noise, but crying babies make louder, more annoying noises.Read Best Reviews of Sassy Sensation Station Suction Toy Here
I liked the design of this toy and the cute music....until I realized that there's NO way to make it stop. The music is activated by movement/vibrations, and there's no on/off button or any way to remove the battery. So get ready for the thing to start playing music in the middle of the night if you place something next to it or accidentally touch it. Have fun!Sorry for yelling, but it is the most annoying toy ever made. You cannot turn off the sounds, and it is really loud, and it plays following every tiny movement it starts paying even if you so much as walk in the vicinity of the toy. When you give it to your baby, every movement makes it go, so it plays non-stop until you get it from him. There is no cause and effect learning, because the thing never stops. If you make a mistake of giving it to your child in the car or in stroller, be ready to listen to annoying two tunes and two sounds non-stop your entire trip.Thursday, November 28, 2013
Sing & Learn Musical MIC
Buy Sing & Learn Musical MIC Now
My son received this for his first birhtday but I gave it to him when he was about 15 months.PROS:
For a child who likes music this would be fun.
Easy to carry around. This is usually the toy that goes to doctor's visits, etc. There are two sound levels so it's not too loud.
The buttons are easy to push, ideal for little fingers.
CONS:
The animal sounds are not easily discernible.
The repetition is really annoying and the pitch of the voice leaves a lot to be desired.
It is not durable. My son threw it out his crib and that was the end of it. The light flashes but there is no sound. Changed batteries but no luck. If I shake it a bit it will work for a few seconds. I am buying another mic but certainly not this!
Educational I am not sure much is offered. The intent is there but the pitch of the voice makes it hard to understand what is being said.
Overall my son does enjoy playing with the mic, (he likes anything that makes noise). However after doing a little research I am convinced that there are much more beneficial toys on the market. My 10 month old loves this toy! My 5 year old loves it too! It produces an echo when they sing into it. My baby loves to chew on the top and bottom as well as to hear all the songs and sounds. It entertains her in the car and she carries it around the house. My 5 year old loves to sing into it as the music plays in the background. I think she wants her own.Doesn't really amplify voice... Unless we missed something on the settings. The music and learning settings work fine. Overall ok.

Shining Stars Monkey
The toy itself is basically a stuffed animal. The fun part (for me and my 7 year old son) was going to the website, deciding which constellation to place his star in, and what to name his star. And guess what I think he *gasp!* learned at the same time!
The game section of the site has been up for a while now. It is called "The Starcade". Most of the games are re-vamped "old school" games such as Pac-Man, and an Asteroids like game. I like it :) Some of the games are under construction, but there are at least 8-10 that are playable.
Another cool part of the site is that you can make a wish on your star for yourself or for someone else. You can also send greeting cards with the animals themselves on them. Each user has their own "Star Page" with all of their animal's information, and the information on their star, which you can print out. You can add more than one animal for each user.
Now all that said . . . My 2 month old daughter LOVES "monkey". (Yeah, I know we're real creative). She holds him by the ears and chews on the top of his head. He's really soft and the star on his foot WILL not come off if you are concerned and considering warning me (Thanks anyway though :)
All in all, I think this is a great toy for the price. I really like that fact that kids old enough can learn about the stars and constellations and can also be thoughtful and make a wish for someone. Younger kids who like stuffed animals will love the soft feel and the cute little faces. I have seen all of the toys in person and they are all of high quality. They are well made from quality materials and are very durable.
For the record, we have "monkey", "frog", and "pig". We are also considering making an investment in "elephant" and "snow owl".My girlfriend calls me monkey ears so when she had to go to the hospital i wanted to do something special for her. This monkey was small enough to be kept with her at all times during her stay at the hospital and it also comes with the package to name a star after her. her mother told me she had not seen her that happy in years which goes to show that the biggest things come in small packages. Our 22 month old daughter LOVES "Monkey." She has not really attached herself to any other stuffed animal or doll such as this one. Monkey goes everywhere with us and she sleeps with him tucked under her arm every night (we did remove the bow). The reason I am back on Amazon looking to buy another one is because when Monkey goes missing, there are often many tears until he is found. Definitely would recommend this product!plush n comfy.. always a fav with the kids who visit our home.. would recommend.. the site n games r way too kiddish for us tho.. maybe the kids love themThis Monkey was very cute ... and a gift .. so I can't say much on how they liked it.
