After much deliberation and reading reviews, we decided on this walker for our grandson because of the durability and darling "toy factor". The only thing missing is the friction brake(s) on the wheels and my brilliant husband remedied that problem by wrapping yarn around the inside of each wheel 'til the wagon moves the speed we want (cut the yarn off, or unwrap/rewrap to adjust, when baby is ready for a faster push)! So far, our nearly 9 mo old is sitting on the seat, playing with the toys and pulling himself to a standing position on this sturdy wagon (doesn't fall over and he's a BIG boy at 23 lbs). We're confident he'll be pushing it around the house in a few weeks promises years of fun! Thanks to the other reviewers, we feel we made a quality choice!

I read reviews of all of the walkers I could find and ended up splurging on this one. Although it was expensive, I am so happy with the purchase. I got this for my son when he was 8 months old and he loved it from day one. At the time, he wasn't walking, but he entertained himself easily with all of the toys attached to the walker. He now uses it to pull himself up and walk all around the house(he is now nine months old and not quite walking on his own). I'm confident that this has helped him walk faster than if he didn't have it. He also still really enjoys playing with the toys attached to the walker. It doesn't tip over (unless he tries to pull himself up on the side rather than the front or back), and he can easily push it around on the carpet or hardwood floors. He has slammed it into walls and furniture and it hasn't left any marks yet. It was definitely worth the extra money, as this might be the highest quality toy my son owns. I couldn't be happier.

An outstanding toy! With all the warnings against baby walkers I wanted to be certain this would cause no developmental delays or safety issues. The HABA Discovery push wagon is ideal because your child can walk or crawl freely while pushing the wagon and is not forced to assume any particular posture that would harm their development. The wagon itself is very sturdy, birch plywood painted with non-toxic dyes, well weighted at 12 lbs. and not prone to tipping. Sometimes my daughter will ride it "chariot style" standing backwards in the seat while being pushed. I realize this is not recommended but we are very careful. At first she could not see over the seat back while pushing and she didn't know where she was going but she soon grew out of this. She was content to push the wagon from behind while crawling. For added interest Haba has adorned the wagon with numerous activities and engaging colors. We noticed a dimming and scratching on the mirror that was actually a piece of clear plastic stuck on to protect the mirror. We pulled it off and the non-glass mirror was nice and shiny. We were considering the Haba Wagon with the blue seat but read the reviews that it left blue marks on the walls. The design of the Haba Discovery wagon is nearly perfect except for the trade off on visibility with the higher seat back. It is a lovely toy, durable, non-toxic and finely crafted.

Very well made! Thank goodness it doesn't play music or teach you a foreign language! My one year old granddaughter pulled right up and walked with no problem, but her favorite thing is to sit in the seat and let brother and sister push her around like a little princess. We tightened the wheels so they were harder to turn at first but she caught on so quickly we loosened them.

I know, it's expensive. But, once you see it, you will understand why. Well, once you see it, and you remind yourself that the people who made it earn a decent living, don't have to worry about health care, and, well, get to focus on the important things in life--like making great toys.

We have had this for over a month, and my daughter is STILL fascinated by it. The colors are beautiful and bright. All of the pieces move, and my daughter loves to play with each and every part. She turns it on its side. She toddles behind it. She puts her toys on the "seat" and then takes them off again. She cuddles the mouse. It keeps her busy like nothing else.

This wagon is just gorgeous in person. Just gorgeous. And it's so sturdy and well made that I think my daughter will be able to use it with her daughter--unless we've taken to flying instead of walking by then. In that case, I'm not sure what we'll do with it, but I know it will still be around.

Rubie's Costume EZ-On Romper Costume, Dragon / Dinosaur

Very cute costume. The description did not give much info on what the sizes were, other than 25-40lbs for the infant size. My son just turned 2 and weighs about 30lbs, so I went ahead and bought the infant size, even though he would be considered a toddler. The costume fit him almost perfectly, just a bit too short so that the neck of the costume was not as high on him as it probably should be. The packaging on the infant size said 6-12 months. I believe this would be WAY to big for a 6 month old. The "head" of the costume is a separate piece from the body of the costume, and my son refused to wear it. (He still looked very cute, I think!) Based on the picture, I thought the hands of the costume were mittens; they are not. The hands are attached to the outside of the sleeves, and attach to the child's wrists via elastic bands. My son didn't like the elastic, either. The costume is polyester, so it can get warm. There are two snaps in the back, and snaps up the inside of the legs to make diaper changes easier. All in all, I think this was a very cute costume, and I am glad I got it for my son.

I gave this costume one star due to the sizing chart. The chart says that the newborn size fits babies 0-3 months weighing 5-11 lbs. My son is 3 months and weighs 12 lbs, so I thought it would fit just right. WRONG! When I received the costume the package said 0-9 months (huge difference), it looked like it would fit an 18 month old. I had originally scheduled a Halloween photo shoot for Oct. 20 but pushed it back by accident to Oct. 27th and now I am glad that I did because now I have to go and look for another costume for him. Also, if you want to try and return it, the company charges a 20% restocking fee not including the shipping and handling. So just keep that in mind as well if you decide to purchase this costume.

I purchased this for my 7 month old son. He is 19lbs and 27 inches long and the newborn size fits him perfect. The only problem was on the hat the ridges wouldn't stay up they just layed on the side.

the infant size is for up to 25 pounds, which is at the upper end of baby. certainly so big for my 4-month old that we are saving the costume for next Halloween. I think it will probably still fit. That said, it is really cute.

My grandson (3 yoa) wanted blocks so he could build a *tower* I looked all over, researching blocks, wanting something that he could build with, knock down, walk on, throw, kick, etc. He's, hmmmm, very active. All boy. I found a recommendation for these blocks written by a woman who'd purchased them for her now adult son said they'd held up over the years, and that even now he would come home and occasionally build something with them. She said that they were rigid enough, once put together, that they could be stood on and not collapse. That was good enough for me.

She was correct. I purchased a couple different types of these blocks; spent a couple of hours one night before Christmas putting them together and gave them to him in great big gift bags. He loves them. He builds towers and forts and walls, and knocks them down and puts them back up!! They are as nice today as they were over a year ago when I purchased them.

I love it when a classic gift can multitask!

I bought this for my father-in-law for Father's day. He's a big American history buff, especially Civil War/Revolutionary stuff, and he collects antique American flags. So I knew this was perfect for him! Not only can he get a dose of Presidential history, he can add to his flag collection in a neat new way. As an added bonus, he can play with his granddaughter (my 2 year old) with these and start teaching her some history early on. Its something they can share and build some memories with, and I love that!

They are well-crafted, with simple patriotic hues of blue and red on natural wood. The presidential portraits are very clear and realistic. The 'flag' is very nice too. The sides of each block are smooth, as are the corners and edges, which was a concern for me if my toddler was going to be playing with them. They look durable enough for a child to handle them, even though they're recommended for age 5 and up.

Although the set was on the pricier side, I decided it was far cheaper than buying my FIL another $1500 antique flag. I justified the price with the gift fulfilling a couple of rolesfather's Day, flag collection, American history, and grandpa-granddaughter playtime.

I highly recommend this for any patriots, history fanatics or flag collectors out there, but I consider this a pretty expensive set of blocks for little kids.

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Fun with Friends Musical Table

My son is 9 months old and just received this toy as a gift. He LOVES it! It has a lot to entertain him with, and he just loves flipping the computer open and shut. He laughs every single time.

I like that it has a few different settings that include ABCs, music, an interactive real life sounds and Spanish with English translation. My only complaint about it is that it doesn't have a volume control like so many Fisher Price toys have!! However, I really haven't been too bothered by it, as the songs aren't very long and are actually rather cute. I find myself singing along with them frequently.

I love that the ABC setting includes numbers, too. Each individual number can be pressed on the telephone. My son also has the Leap Frog Learn and Groove Musical Table, but it doesn't have a lot of the different features this table has.

I would definitely recommend this toy, it's great.

My 9 mo boy has been playing with this every chance he gets since he was 7 mo. I also know the LeapFrog Learn & Groove(tm) Musical Table because my niece has it. I like this one better because it has a lot more going on. Both kids seem to like this one better if given their choice.

I put the legs on it immediately as he was already starting to lean on furniture, but as other reviewers note they are easy to take off (unlike the leapfrog), which is great for packing. It has been great to see him get more and more steady on his feet. He can now crab walk all around it to choose which toy he wants to use. It looks like great exercise and that is my favorite thing about the toy. of course, he fell backwards a few times while practicing his standing, but that's just in the nature of the toy: do not use unsupervised. Probably best used on carpet.

Others have complained that the computer closes hard and kids can get there fingers trapped. I have to say that although it makes a loud noise, it does not close with any force. Closing the computer with his hand in it seems to be one of my son's favorite things to do and he does it often with no indication of pain or injury. He just slides his hand right out and is in no hurry to do so.

Actually, the biggest problem is that he likes it so much it is sometimes hard to get him off it. When he does get off it and we start to get into a good game of peek-a-boo, it actually pipes up with "hey, I wanna play" and he actually leaves me to go play with it again. I guess there is a timer in it that makes it say this after it is inactive for about 30 seconds. Now I turn it off immediately when he gets off it so it will shut up. I also hide it from view for a few hours a day so that he will play with me, his other toys, visiting grandparents, etc.

Another gripe: the Spanish mode says everything in English first. Since he presses the buttons one after the other, he sometimes doesn't even hear the Spanish word. I don't understand why they need to translate everything from English, since he doesn't even speak English yet. Also, the songs are still in English. So it hardly speaks any Spanish at all. If it is very important to you that your child learn Spanish, the Leap Frog does it better.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with it. I think that it is helping him with walking. I have gotten more than my money's worth and highly recommend it.

The songs are catchy, but if they start to get too annoying, you just switch the mode to something less noisy, such as the imagination mode where each button just makes a funny sound. My 10 month old received this as a gift, and she's very entertained by it. The different modes provide plenty of variety. However, like another reviewer experienced, the laptop toy is easy to catch baby's hands. My little one slammed the cover down on her hand and screamed. It's too soon to tell if this will be a recurring problem, but we're keeping a close eye on things. Another concern is that the table is so light that it slides around and tips over easily. We're going to have to buy a rubber mat or something similar to make this product safer to use. It's surprising to see so many safety issues, especially some obvious ones that would have been caught in product testing.

My almost 10 month old son received this for Christmas from his grandmother. We were all excited about it as he loves to stand up and play. The tabletop activities immediately caught his attention. He loved it. I loved it. I was taking video to share with grandma. Within 5 minutes of it entering the play area, it tipped over on him twice, making him fall backwards with the table on top of him. (video is of first time) Fortunately he did not hit his head, but this toy will not be staying in our home. I don't want my son getting hurt because of the instability of this toy. Mickey Plane Ride-On Toy

My 11 month old son received this airplane from his grandpa for Christmas. He has not gone a day without playing with it. The music and movement of the propeller get him so excited. He isn't walking yet, but he sits on his knees next to the airplane and presses the buttons over and over just to see the lighted propeller turn. He loves to put out his hand to stop the propeller. As others have mentioned, the propeller is made of soft foam, so I think he likes to feel the soft "thud" as the foam makes contact with his hand and see the propeller's motion stop. He's learning cause and effect!

The shape sorter is an added bonus. We have not had the problem of the recorded voice saying the wrong shape name. He likes to push the shapes into their respective holes once I set them up for him (I push them slightly into the holes first and he does the rest), and it won't be long until he's doing it by himself.

This is the perfect toy to bring to the grandparents' houses when we visit. It's small enough to stash in the trunk and keeps him entertained while we're talking.

The shape sorter activityt has a major flaw in that when you put in one shape, for example, the star, it says another character and shape. I tested each shape. Mickey will say a different shape than what you put in.

This is not good for teaching my son the correct names of shapes. I can see how children would be confused by this. Definitely needs to be fixed.

The shape sorter has some technical issues as the star says ,"Triangle," and the triangle with Pluto on it says, " Gee Minnie, it was sure swell of you to join us." I bought this for my grandson for Christmas, he was 8 months old. This has been the best learning toy for him, along with entertainment. He has learned how the shapes work and took this on soon. It has also helped him in walking. It is entertaining for me to watch him play with this toy, he has to push the button and play the music before he pushes it. I would actually buy one more for him to have at home with Mom and Dad. This is well worth the money.

VTech - Touch & Teach Busy Books

This was a gift for my 13 month old daughter. From the very beginning I was having problems with it recognizing the books and turning of the pages. The on/off button is the only light and that was distracting to my little girl. She kept turning the toy on and off. I'd hear the song begin to start and then Bye! Bye! over and over. Had to press very hard with the little bee to make it respond. If I had a hard time pushing down with the bee then it was impossible for my little one to get it to work. It's a waste of money and space because it's so big. I have her full attention when I read a book to her myself. Stick with the good old fashion way of learning. I can spend this valuable time with my daughter reading to her myself than trying to make this toy work properly.

My son received this toy for his 1st birthday, which was 6 months ago. He didn't really start playing with it until probably 4 months ago.

You have to use the "magic bee" to "point" to things in the book, and he couldn't do it yet. Please be aware that you CANNOT just touch things with your finger for it to work, you must use the "magic bee". The "magic bee" is on a little cord that is connected to the book, and it's still hard for him to get it to reach to where he wants sometimes. I will say that it is a relatively fun toy that he'll play with for a little while, but now it has stopped recognizing when we turn the page, so it says the wrong things. I will also warn that the song that it plays when turned on is very annoying! It comes with 4 different books, and my son only really enjoyed 2 of them because they made different noises instead of just saying a shape or color. I called the company for a replacement since it has already stopped working and they wanted me to pay for the shipping of the toy to them so I didn't go for it. It's not that great! He loves to play with his LeapPad which is similar, but you can use your finger and there are many more options with that toy.

These are just as cute as they look online. Bright colors and big/sturdy enough for little hands. They are a great value at the $2-$3 price range. My only reason for the less than perfect rating is that once they get water in them, it is impossible to get it all out.. Squeeze all you want, you can always shake it and still hear some. I'm not sure if that will cause a problem down the road or not, but I'm not too worried. They are an overall terrific value for a vital baby toy set and I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

My son likes in particular the crocodile, he chews on it, although I am not too happy abt it. They do get water inside but if you squeeze really well you can get it out. Have been using them for a month or o now and no mold yet.

Chicco Baby Activity Walker

My 9 month old just started walking with this toy. Before that he would play with the buttons to make the sounds while seated.

Two concerns the first is that the wheels don't really lock. He is still able to walk with it in the locked position on the carpet. The second is that when he tries to pull himself up he often times pulls the toy over. It should be heavier so that he doesn't tip it over.

Walker is just perfect, the right size.

Its easy to use and don't need to wait till the baby walks, can use it while baby is sitting down.

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Baseball

I got this for my grandson, who was 16 months and it's way too small. If I pull up the post in the center, which only moves up an inch or less, it's still way to small. It comes to about his knees or slightly above. Every time he hits the ball, the whole unit goes flying, in the ball attached mode. He's not tall of his age, so I'd say this is meant for children 1 year or under. For me, it was a waste of money.

The Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Baseball playset is a very fun toy for young ones. My son, who's eight months old, loves hitting the ball and/or tee and hearing the crowd of children cheer him on for a home run. When the child is young, the tee retracts and the soft baseball attaches to the base so that it doesn't go flying across the room. As the child gets older, the tee can be extended, freeing the ball and allows the youngster to hit the ball in a more realistic tee-ball fashion. Along with the cheers of the crowd, there's also "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" and a bat cracking noise to encourage youngsters to hit the ball. Players are stationed at first and third base, and when the child pushes one of them down, the other pops up and says fun phrases.

We've had this particular toy for about three weeks now, and my son can't get enough of it. He loves hitting the ball with his hands (and chewing on the bat). It has held up very well so far. Overall, I'd recommend this toy to anybody with a child old enough to sit up on their own. Hitting the ball helps their motor skills, whether or not they use the bat. Even if your child doesn't make it to the majors, Fisher-Price introduces them to baseball (or softball) in a fun way with this toy.

We didn't get this toy at first, we got another brand, that was a mistake. Came to our senses and got the FP Brilliant Basics.

We didn't even take it out of the box and my son was already all over it. He kept swinging the ball back and forth (there was a piece of plastic that held it to the stand). We took it out of the packaging and let him mess around. It illicit alot of giggles.

What he likes about it: the little people when you push one down, the other pops up and music plays. Whenever the ball is "hit" it makes noises. The ball is held onto the stand so he can swing but the ball stays put.

What I like about it it's going to grow with him! As he gets older and coordinated, the podium that holds the ball can be lifted to his "standing" height, and he can swing and hit the ball where the ball will actually go off the stand. (There's a little hole in the ball for the pin, but when the stand is lifted, the pin isn't there).

For the price of the toy it's a great deal with the frills that he's accustomed to the music, sound effects and the fun bright colors. Anything that keeps his interest beyond 10 minutes and has him going back to it means it's a MUST! We've got a very fickle baby.

We received this toy as a gift for our 8 month old this Christmas. So far he loves it! He has played with it for over an hour each time and loves the cheering sounds and hitting the ball with his hands. I like the fact that it can "grow" with him and will help his hand eye cord. once he gets a little bigger and can swing the bat. So far we love this toy!!

Peacock Curves

My granddaughter loved this and it was great quality so made a lovely gift. More of an art piece than a puzzle, but she really enjoyed playing with it and held the peacock body all afternoon. My daughter used it as the cake topper for her first birthday party which was rainbow themed.

Disney Baby Eeyore Lovey Snuggle Buddy

The item it's self is fine. However, I was trying to buy a backup to a snuggle buddy that my daughter already loves. For the price I paid I expected the item pictured which is the same as the one I have. It is the same style Eeyore complete with the writing and silk but it is Completely light blue in color. The hair, silk, and eyes are all light blue with no purple or black. It looks and feels the same just the wrong color. She loves them both and cuddles them while sleeping I'm just afraid that it something happens to one I won't have the same replacement I was hoping for.

My babies love them! Eeyore has a rattle in it so, my youngest loves shaking him. My other baby received a piglet but it did not have a rattle so, Eeyore is much better.

Kids Preferred The World Of Eric Carle Brown Bear Plush

I got this as a gift at my baby shower. My son is 2 now and this is his favorite toy. He sleeps with it and takes it everywhere. the coloring on the bear is really beautiful and it is really charming that sets this bear apart from a regular bear.

This is a beautiful stuffed animal, especially for the child that is an Eric Carle fan. My only complaint is that it is very small especially for the $40 price tag....

Lil' Giraffe Elite Collection Infant/Toddler Costume - Kid's Costumes

My 12 month old wore this for Halloween and she got a lot of compliments. It is made very well and kept her warm while we were outside. My only compliant is that the nose of the giraffe kept sliding down over her eyes and she kept holding up his snout so she could see better. You can see this in the picture of the product. Other than that, we loved it.

I was DYING for my daughter to be a giraffe for her first halloween, and I decided on this one. My daughter looked so cute and got a TON of compliments. My only complaints are that the snaps between the legs broke (at least 2 of them) so you could see her pants underneath, which was frustrating for pictures. And then the pants were way too short. They're more like shorts, which you can't tell in the picture. At least they were for my daughter, and I even ordered a larger size for her. :/

Lamaze Symphony Motion Gym

I got this for a friend's daughter and she absolutely loves it. My friend loves that the mat is washable and the motion/music will stay on for a decent amount of time. Her little girl started reaching for the shapes almost immediately and loves the sounds they make. The different shapes have various textures on them which she loves to touch and chew on. Here's a video so you can heard the music and see the motion of the gym itself.

I don't think I've ever written a review, but this gym has been such a big help I thought I should. Our 2-month-old baby is completely captivated by this thing. If he's ever fussy and I can't find a position he likes, I put him on the mat and about 75% of the time he's happily gurgling and cooing and batting at the toys instantly. It's like I threw the happy-baby switch. He can reach the toys, so he gets some feedback about where his hands and feet are, and there is crinkly stuff in the padded "floor" of the gym that he kicks enthusiastically. It has made it possible to take a shower or do quick chores, and I feel like he's getting a lot more out of it than he would lying in his crib. The motion of the arch rotates everything enticingly and helps hold his interest. I do wish there was a setting with motion but no sound, but as baby toy sounds go, it's not so bad, and honestly, he loves it so much I could handle much worse in the music department. It's semi-portable--easy to take off the curved arms, and the bottom is foldable cloth, but the arms do not collapse, and they're long, so if you're traveling you need to have a big suitcase. I thought this was ridiculously expensive as baby toys go--especially since in my experience babies often like the packaging the toy comes in more than the toy itself--but this has been worth it. I might even buy one for a friend.

My 2 month old daughter is fascinated by this play gym. The motion is ingenious she will watch each object sway above her and smile with delight. The two types of music are cute. I wish they were a little less repetitive and that there was a volume control, but those small things certainly don't take away from the other great features of this play gym. The design is so much better than everything else I have seen the space theme is really cute and not obnoxious like so many baby products can be. Another great feature is that my two year old has dragged this all over the house, jumped on it, and climbed all over it, and it's completely indestructible. We also have a Fisher Price play gym and both my daughter and I prefer this one. I highly recommend it.

I have a baby girl (now 6 mos) and also babysit another baby girl (now 3 mos) at the same time, and this has been a lifesaver. When I'm tending to one, I put the other under here and they're both just enthralled until my hands are free to tend to the other again :)

I had no problems with setting this up, and found that if you twist the bars so they're parallel, it *sort of* folds up for storage (we slide it behind the couch), though it'll pop open again if there aren't walls or something to provide resistance.

The bright, expressive faces on the toys seem to really encourage babies to talk, which is a lot of fun listening to!

That said, as much as we loved this toy, there were a few things that made me give it a lower rating.

1. For what it cost, I expected it to be a bit better constructed. After washing the blanket a couple of times, the crinkly portions shifted inside. They are not sewn in, as I had thought.

2. The motor seems to be wearing down; my kid can pull pretty hard on the toys now, which causes the motor to stall. It now makes a funny clicking sound, even if you detach it and turn it on without being attached to any bars.

3. Toys could, in theory, present a CHOKING HAZARD. Just this morning, my daughter yanked the rocket toy so hard that it pulled off of the ribbon it's hanging from, leaving a loose ribbon for her to play with. She's at the age where everything goes in her mouth, so I'm lucky I noticed right away. It's nothing I can't repair with a bit of sewing, but again, I had also expected it to be a bit more durable.

4. Another slight choking hazard is the design of the monkey astronaut toy. Be sure to hang this one from the higher bar, as when it was lower down, my daughter managed to shove the legs so far into her mouth she was gagging until I came to save her and remove it.

5. In line with the durability thing, several of the toys now have a bit of stuffing coming out through the fabric.

Keep in mind that, while we did use this toy very frequently, the babies haven't been particularly hard on it (just batting things around and trying to get them into their mouths). This is one of the most expensive gyms sold on Amazon, and while we totally love the toys and the design, it has a few kinks that could stand to be worked out in a later model.

Bottom line: a great toy, and we've gotten a lot of use out of it. Love that it's bright without being cliche (no obvious gender stuff going on here really). LOVE the motion and music. Motor eventually wears down, but I'm willing to bet Lamaze would have spares to purchase if desired. Toys could be a little better constructed, so make sure you periodically take time to examine them for any failing stitches etc.

At first I didn't like the toy. The directions weren't adequate.

The purple music box is underneath the black/white top arch. The words, "Lamaze", and the music selection buttons shouldn't be covered by the velcro. Top arch (black & white) sits in the cradle of the purple music box. There is a purple loop on the top of each arch to connect the music box. You wrap the attach velcro underneath the arch, bring the velcro to the top, put it into the slot on top of the music box. The velcro needs to be in two slots. You loop it through the slot and connect the stiff half of velcro to the soft half of velcro. Same with the bottom arch(multiple colors). The music box has a rotating disk on the bottom of it which moves the arches. The music box has a chime song and a tropical song. The swaying of the arches and the gentle music make the child sleepy.It looks pretty stable. The mirror is a nice big size. It is pretty cool.
