I purchased these balls when my son was about 5-6 months old, to give another developmental toy for him to play with. He also really loves it when I roll it over his head and down his back, it tickles and he makes this really cute face. I spent along time trying to find balls which were Phthalate Free. When I found these on Amazon I was so excited exactly what I was looking for and Phthalate Free. When the box arrived, I initially thought "great, exactly what I wanted textured balls in different sizes and nice colors. On closer inspection, I noticed a blurb on the box which states "The balls are Phthalate Compliant"...WHAT? what does this mean? Certainly not the same as Phthalate Free...as Phthalates are not illegal. I will not let DS roll around on a product that has Phthalates, especially given that he puts his mouth on everything.

At least Amazon's customer service was excellent. All it took was an email explaining my problem with the item and I received a refund.

Teach My Toddler Shapes was given to our one year young great niece. It fits into the bag which her mom brings whenever anyone watches her so that the babysitters can work with her using this educational toy. She can find the shapes, and match the puzzle pieces, but she does not have the dexterity to get them into their place on the foam board, we have to help. She loves looking at the shapes on the poster and when we ask, she can point to some that we name. This little one loves to learn and whenever she sees the transparent plastic envelope with this toy inside, she fusses until we place it on the floor and play it with her. Someone is always with her when she uses this toy, teaching and encouraging her. Also at one year, she tends to be a bit rough and if you want this toy to last, supervision is in order. Purchased this for my 6 month old granddaughter. I think it is a cute toy, plays sweet music, has two modes of interactive play, on and off switch, high and low volume, has the peek-a-boo bird, and the teether rings on top. My grandbaby will listen to the music and pick up the toy, but right now she only likes to chew on the teether. When she is older I will introduce her to the educational activities that are sung for counting, colors, and finding objects. One can't go wrong with leap frog toys.

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Kick and Play Piano Gym

My wife and I purchased this play mat for our 3 month old daughter, Maggie, and she absolutely loves it. Previously, Maggie would need to be constantly held, but now she will happily spend over an hour or more kicking and playing on this gym. Also, her hand-eye coordination has improved dramatically. I have included a short video of her playing on this gym for the first time. Highly recommended!!

My 2.5 month old immediately loved this product from day 1, and can be entertained for 30 mins-1 hr at a time! For that reason alone, I should be giving it 5 stars; however, from the perspective of a parent who does not have room for zillions of toys at home, I'm only giving it 3 stars because I was hoping it would replace a standard activity gym but it doesn't. The mat is too small for baby to do anything except lay on her back and look up at the mirror and the dangling toys, which is fine for now but not when she becomes more active and starts to roll and move around. It's also not great for tummy time because there's not enough interesting details on the mat to promote tummy time activities. As baby grows longer, the mirror will no longer be positioned correctly for her to view herself and to still kick the piano keys with extended legs. Perhaps I am expecting more longevity out of this toy than I should be, but I do not want to pay 50 bucks for something that lasts a couple months. It is also annoying to put away or even move from room to room-it basically has to be disassembled because the arch/piano/mat do not connect well together.

Our baby loves to kick and move his legs, so after looking at dozens of play gyms, I wanted this one, but it wasn't out yet. We waited for it and are so glad we did. He LOVES it! The toys are great and varied, the mirror is a lot of fun for him, and the kick piano is genius. He is able to make his own music and it plays little songs (but not too long for Mom and Dad's ears) that keep him entertained. It also has lights on the piano. We also like the conversion to tummy time, which is not our son's favorite thing, but the toys and especially mirror help him stay on his belly just a little longer. I look forward to being able to flip the piano for when he is older and like that it will grow with him. For the same price as a lot of other play gyms (and less than some) you get all these features. We are very happy with our purchase. The battery life is really long, too, on AAs, which was a nice surprise for us. We've only changed them once in 3 months of daily use. I highly recommend it.

I will have to write a follow-up review once I've had this for a few months, but I just received it today and am so excited that I wanted to share with anyone that is considering this my thoughts on this product. I read a few reviews on this before I bought it, but I was sold just by looking at the pictures. My son is 2.5 months old and has been a mover for some time. He was very active in my belly too. He loves to kick and for the longest time I had a ball that rattles that I'd put at his feet in his bassinet and he'd kick it around for up to 30 minutes. I was looking for some toys that would be more interactive and this is just the thing for him. The mirror that hangs down is great. As soon as I put him on the mat (on his back) he was looking at himself and smiling. He is using both arms and playing with all of the dangling objects. He's kicking up a storm and cooing and having a grand old time. The 4 white piano keys are perfect size for his feet. It's durable and appears to be able to take the beating it needs to. It comes with AA batteries already in it (3) so no need to rush to the store to try this new toy out. The mat has four loops (2 on either side closer to the piano) for attaching toys. The beam has two positions in which it fits into the side part that holds it stationary. I haven't put him on his belly yet with this because he loves to kick so much but he's in the beginning phase of crawling and can hold his head up so I'm sure he'll like tummy time on this as well. The mirror will be just what he needs to keep him occupied while he learns to push up. I have nothing bad to say about this. If you have a little one that loves to kick, this is the best toy out there that I've found so far. If someone knows of one better than this, please comment. I'm always open to new suggestions!

Nico The Dog Small Pull Toy

This toy is recommended for 10mo and up, however it includes a bunch of small parts. When I first got the toy for my 10mo old son, I was so excited the toy is colorful, has a number of different shapes and textures for little hands to explore. I pulled on all the small pieces hard to make sure that they were attached well, and nothing came off, I also tied the pull string around itself several times to shorten it and I though I was good I was so WRONG! The very next day, while my son was at my mom's the little bell came off!!! Thank god my mom saw it in time to snatch it away from the baby the bell is the perfect size for a kid to choke on! This toy is DEFINITELY TOO HAZARDOUS FOR SMALL BABIES!!!!

I bought this item originally at a local toy store and had set it aside and nearly forgotten about it. Then, last week we started to prepare my 4 month old for daycare by teaching her to fall asleep on her own. I wanted her to have something to hug and cuddle, maybe even something I could sleep with so that when she's at daycare she can smell me. Then I remembered I had this and gave it to her. It was love at first cuddle. I am watching her now on the video monitor, snuggling away while she drifts off to dreamland and contemplating buying two more at the much more reasonable Amazon prices (one for home, one for daycare, one for emergencies).

Little Tikes Rocking Horse Magenta

I have two older children, who are 6 and 8 and whom have enjoyed many little tikes toys over the years. I bought this for my niece's first birthday. This rocking horse is perfect for a child age 1 to 3. The seat is very low, so its easy for a little one to climb into, unlike a lot of the really cute adorable rocking horses you see out there which look great, but are just too challenging for the age. The toy is also very solid, there is no chance as long as the child isn't doing anything extreme that it will fall over onto its side while they are rocking in it.

Little tikes toys are very high quality, this toy will easily last through several children, on to a yard sale and through a few more families. It is all one piece, so there isn't anything to chip or break off. This has become one of my niece's (now 16 months) favorite toys. Highly recommended!

DC Comics Superman Baby Bunting Costume

This costume was so cute on my two-month-old. It fit him nicely. The only catch is that we live in Arizona and it was way too hot. Trick-or-treating time is still in the 80s, and he was uncomfortable. It would be great for colder places because you could really bundle the baby up underneath it. It has a button at the back of the neck, and the bottom of the outfit opens up completely.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this. It fit perfectly, our baby was 20 in and at the time was 6 weeks old, so it was long enough and the sleeves were too long but it was still adorable. The cape is detachable. my baby hated having this on.. good photo op.. but had to take it off right away... which was ok since she is too little to go trick or treating anyhow... i think the problem was that the opening was relatively small compared to her outfits so it was a bit of a pain getting her into it... it looks like some of her sleepers in the picture which you would put on from the bottom but this you had to go in through the neck as it is sealed at the feet... i guess this is what a bunting outfit is?... also i thought that it was cotton like her other outfits but was more like a felt like material i guess what one could expect from a costume... but still all in all satisfied with the purchase... it was inexpensive enough that i now have the pictures of her in it... would have done it all again...

I put down 1 star for educational value because it's not a toy but a costume obviously. It was an adorable costume especially if you like Superman. It was very warm for him considering it was a bit chilly, he wore a onesie with feet underneath and was plenty warm. It was a little big on him but he was only 2 months old but was great because when it started cooling off that night I could put his little hands inside the sleeves but overall it was great!! I give it a big thumbs up!!!

this is a large dino that has a zippered back. When you open the zipper there are 60 colorful balls inside. I put my 5 month old in it and she loved to kick the balls, grasp them with her hand, and of course slobber on them. I just wash her hands before i put her in it. It takes up about 1/2 the space in the fisher price play yard. On the outside there are mirrors, crinkle spots, holes and other things that she will enjoy when she is bigger. It is very well made and it is cute.

We bought this for our 6 month old. She loves it. The balls are a great size for her hands and you can zip it around her. It also travels well.

I ordered this for my 6 month old daughter's "Half-a-Birthday!" She loves the spikes because they sound like cellophane when you play with them. Wonderworld Counting Shape Sorter

I bought this for my daughter a little bit before she was ready for it and it ended up sitting on the shelf for a while. Now that she's 18 months, she's much more interested in it. Its one of the first toys she takes off the shelf and she'll play with it throughout the day. The colors are really bright & the little wooden pegs are really sturdy (she's turned the board upside down and stood on it countless times.) It's a nice toy for not only counting, but for shape and color identification. The only thing that confuses her a little is that is she turns the pieces different ways she can fit them onto the wrong pegs. All in all though its a great learning toy.

Lamaze Star Shape Book

This little book was read so many times with my two kids. We wore it out!

This is a decent kids book, but is a bit basic and doesn't have enough doo-dads to keep them occupied for long.

My daughter likes 'peek a boo forest' much more, though she liked playing with the loose star on this book.
