Our toddler loves his beads so much that he's got two whole sets! He still struggles to pop them together but popping them apart is a blast...not to mention he still loves to chew on them and of course, throw them! There are no bells or whistles on these beads, they don't need batteries but they last a lifetime. Every child I've known has loved these beads. I'm looking forward to using them to teach colors to him!

I was very disappointed because the item pictured is NOT what I received. I specifically wanted the vintage beads pictured and did NOT want the newer version. The pictures should clearly indicate the item offered. If an item is not available, it should not be illustrated. I am returning them for that reason.

the snap blocks that I ordered were a lot larger than the ones I have now. I wanted them to add to the set I have. There was no description of size, etc. Also, there were only 12 blocks. THAT wasn't listed either. I wouldn't have ordered these if I had know these two facts.

Its the best toy for such an unbeatable price, when I got it last year for my baby who is now 2 she had a blast. they can safely put them in their mouth, just watch out for the tips that snap together. Step2 Naturally Playful Lookout Treehouse

I found 40+ excellent reviews elsewhere on line and ordered this from another retailer who offered free shipping on it. We put it together in about 10 minutes and our 13 mo old was sliding on it immediately. It is for ages 18 mo+ and I think that is probably correct. We are using it in the house until it gets warmer and then will move it outside. We didn't assemble the periscope but saved the pieces for later. It is very well made and is attractive. I like that there is a platform before you get to the slide and that it can be a fort as well. The slide part disassembles easily for transport. It does require close supervision. We found we could back the ladder to the wall and take off the slide and then it is just a safe fort for when we don't have time to supervise. We're very happy with it.

My newly turned 1 son is the most athletic little guy of my 4 boys so even though we have lots of boy toys around the house, I needed something special for his first birthday. He wants so badly to keep up with the big boys! Having an October birthday, I was trying to opt for something he could play with indoors during the rainy/cold weather but that was also very active. Fortunately we have enough room for a small climbing structure like this and it is just perfect!

PROS:

-very easy to assemble

-fits inside without being to awkward we have it in a dining room and it could easily work in a space 1/2 the size

-the perfect size for a 1 year old (and my 13 month old niece loves it too!)

-durable enough to withstand big kids -my 5 year old twins are all over it as well and while it has a 60 pound weight limit, it is managing to hold up well for time when they sneak on it together

CONS:

-I can't really think of anything! I was worried about kids falling off but so far no problem even when one is coming up the slide and one up the ladder, they seem to work it out just and my niece is not as athletic and coordinated as my son but she does great with it as well. Only took a few days to get the hang of climbing up the ladder and how to slide down. Now they both climb the slide also!

I am looking forward to moving it outside in the summer also.

This is an excellent indoor slide if you are looking for something for your little ones to do in cold winter months. It is a small slide, takes up very little space, and the tree house is perfect for play. I bought it for my 18 month old son and he has had much fun using it. His friends of up to 7 years old have played on it and it has lasted many children's parties. I plan to move it outdoors in the Spring.

We bought this for our one year old granddaughter. She may be on the tall side but she already is too tall to stand on the top landing and it was supposed to be for 18 months to 3 years. Also the ladder is not designed well-nothing to hold on to as the child climbs up. The reviews were pretty good but I am dissapointed that she won't be able to play on it for very long.

We didn't get to really try this toy out for more than one afternoon, as my 34" tall 2 year old was entirely too big for it. She didn't even have to use the stairs to get in to it. She couldn't stand under the top and look through the periscope, and she didn't have enough room to turn around to use the slide to get down. I think a better age range would be 18 mo to 2 or 3 years. We returned it and ordered a slide for the yard instead.

Bunnies By The Bay Bye Bye Buddy Blanket

I bought the blue bunny, Bud, for my 5 mo old son. It is a very well made bunny and I love that the eyes and nose are stitched on. Be warned, though, this is the travel version of their original "buddy blanket." This is the "bye bye buddy blanket." It is 10.5" instead of 16". It also has velcro tabs in the back, presumably to attach it to a carseat or stroller. I thought I was getting the original, full-size version and was disappointed because I don't particularly want to give him a lovey with rough velcro to take into the crib. Although he won't be able to figure it out now, it won't be long before he will. I am going to go ahead and get the full-size version for the crib. There is also Hare and a Spare, for those who want a better deal for buying both the original and travel version.

We received a similar bunny from the hospital where my daughter was born, except it doesn't have the Velcro loop and it is embroidered with the hospital's logo. She became incredibly attached to the bunny, so much so that it was getting really worn out and dirty looking, no matter how much I cleaned it. Therefore I took to the interwebs to find a lookalike replacement, and here we are. The bunny is exactly the same as the one distributed by Swedish Hospital in Seattle, except that this version has a Velcro loop so that it can be attached to a stroller or crib. The Velcro is pretty rough around the edges and I worry that it will scratch our kiddo. I considered cutting off the entire loop, but my daughter doesn't seem to notice or mind it. I am able to use both bunnies interchangeably, so that's all that matters.

My 7 month old twins got this for christmas and they love theirs! At night I put it next to them with their pacifier and they hold it in front of their face and rub their cheeks on the super silky lining of the bunny. It helps soothe them and they fall asleep holding it. I think its definitely going to be their "lovey" and I doubt they'll grow tired of them anytime soon.

On a side note, I looked into getting this "bye bye" bunny as opposed to the larger more expensive version. I actually like this one better because it is easier for them to put in their hands and less risk of the blanket getting stuck on their face. The larger version is almost too big, and I hated that the silk part of it is in 2 separate pieces. This one is much better because the silk is one solid piece of silk blanket hooked onto the rabbit head.

My parents gave my now 20 month old daughter one of these when she was born. She grew attached to it around 9 months old. We have ordered 8 of them over the past months. My son received tad for his first birthday and was drawn to it the moment it came out of the packaging. Each of the five options (hand, clap, foot, dance and belly) play three different things some are songs and some are speech. The night-mode feature plays music for 5 or 10 minutes. Every night, we play with Tad in day-mode and laugh and dance for a bit, then switch to night-mode and drift off to sleep.

The big, bright eyes are the best part Tad looks so surprised and excited. My son laughs like a fool when I hide Tad's face, then show it suddenly, like peekaboo.

Only one minor quibble I find it odd for a toy that encourages clapping to be unable to join its own hands together to clap itself. The arms are too short!

I bought this from Walmart for my son for about six dollars. I fail to understand why Amazon has such a high markup on this item. Regarding the ball set, my son likes the balls with stuff inside that make noise. So essentially he plays with two balls as the third ball with a spinning toy inside doesn't have much appeal for him.

Son has loved these since he was 6 months. So you know what you're getting: 1) has a little friend inside that rattles when shaken 2) has a spinner that twirls/spins when rolled 3) has mini-balls that will roll from top to bottom and vice versa when turned and rattles as well 4&5)have layers that click when turned (son has not mastered this skill yet so they are colorful balls) I would roll and he would crawl after them, hide and seek, would shake behind ear then hide then shake behind other ear then show it & he would laugh, this is my go to when he is fussy.

Maison Chic Jersey Rattle

This is a cute, well made toy. The fabric is easy to clean, seems nice to chew on (my 8-month old's favorite thing to do with it!), and the bells on the inside have a pleasant chime. The turquoise and orange colors are quite vibrant. It seems a little pricey for something so basic, but maybe wait until it goes on sale and you won't be disappointed.

i try to take reviews with a grain of salt. but this toy is not worth the money. it's cute in the box but that's about as good as it gets. it does not stand up by itself, and it's not easy for a 12 month old to push. My baby likes to push the button and lift the lid to get the blocks out. my 2 yr old tried pushing it around, and gave up quickly! i am bummed that we wasted our money on this toy.

My daughter got this as a gift for her 1st birthday. She loves it! It's one of her favorite toys. It pushes very well on our carpet and it does stand on it's own so I think they must have made some improvements. She pushes it around just fine. It also grabs the blocks up perfectly. The music and sounds are fun too. We love this toy.

Vac handle falls down too readily. Would like to see an easier upright balance allowing for the vacuum to be parked/stored in the upright position without having to prop it up. This toy is obnoxious and impossible to use. The vacuum is hard to push on carpet and hardwood and will not pick up the blocks. Plus, if you don't immediately turn it off, it will randomly sing 20 minutes later and scare the crap out of you.

This is truly a wonderful toy. Our granddaughter (6 years old) received an earlier version of this toy when she was 2 and played with it for a long time until it wore out. The batteries did not last in this earlier version but they seem to last longer now. The puppy is fun to pull and it barks as you pull the string as well as it plays a variety of music by pressing a colourful button on its back. Unfortunately she dropped her first puppy a number of times on hard floors and first the music stopped then the legs broke with subsequent drops. I don't know whether the plastic just got brittle or it was just not meant to be dropped (little ones do that). She loved it so much that I finally had to find another even though she is 6. This new version with the little puppy added on is even better than its predecessor. I would highly recommend this toy I think it provides hours of rich fun.

My two daughters (3 & 5) love this toy. They play with it more than the other toys they received for their birthday. I'd give this toy 5 stars if they would've given us a little bit longer leash! Even my tiny toddler is hunching over to drag this thing around. It's kind of ridiculous.

Little Tikes Swing Along Castle

This was a gift to my daughter from the Grandparents for her 1st birthday. Her enjoyment in it was enthusiastic to start with, but very short lived. At the time, she was a new walker and although the steps up to the slide were short, they were a challenge for her to climb. As another reviewer said, by the time she had the hang of climbing and sliding within the next couple of months, the slide was way too short to hold her interest for very long.

The swing on this thing has very little range of motion. Instead of being suspended by a flexible rope or chain, the swing is attached with rigid bars, which stop the swing from going too far forward or backwards. While this is a sensible safety feature on paper, it doesn't translate to a very comfortable ride for the child being pushed by a parent.

I assume that the swing was designed for kids to use by themselves safely. However, most children in this age bracket aren't going to understand how to pump their legs to swing, they can't get themselves in and out of the straps with buckles, and if their legs are long enough to push themselves, they're too big for the swing.

I also feel that the entire unit becomes wobbly too quickly. Even after tighteing all of the fasteners several times, I always feel like it's a bit unstable and fear that it might collapse. It hasn't yet and I'm probably being overly paranoid.

My daughter is now 22 months old and the weather is warm enough for her to be outside again. She climbs up and over the unit, but not much else. We have purchased a very basic swingset for her with 2 belt swings, a toddler swing, glider swing, and slide for under $200 ... a far better investment, in my opinion. She will be able to enjoy this for years to come!

We purchased this playset for my son's first birthday, and we're very pleased! Although he's too young yet to climb ON the toy, he has a great time crawling through the castle and around and under the swing. We can also help him go down the slide, which he loves! He will definitely grow into this adorable and durable playset and it will get more and more fun as he gets older.

We have it in his indoor playroom, which it is sized perfectly for. It would also work well outdoors. The swing is a bit of a clunker, however. It doesn't swing very high, and only keeps his attention for a few minutes. That would NOT influence my decision, though, and I would purchase this set again if I had the chance!

We've had this set for a few months now and while it was initially a hit, it lost it's luster very quickly with my son. When we first got it (when he was 9 mos) he loved the swing, but was still too young to use the slide. Now, at 14 months, he no longer cares for the swing, and the slide is too short to really amuse him for long.

The swing is very stiff...it doesn't swing freely back and fourth. The way it's bolted onto the unit doesn't allow for it to go very far in either direction. My son is average in height, and when he sits at the top of the slide, it's almost as long as he is with his legs stretched out. As far as assembly, it wasn't too bad. I put it together myself in about an hour, but the slide was a thorn in my side. It (mine at least) wouldn't connect completely with the base, so there's a small gap between the slide and the top platform.

Overall, it wasn't a terrible purchase, but if given the choice again, I'd pass. It's something that be can only enjoyed for such a short time...I'd rather have taken the $140 and put it towards a larger, sturdier swing set that he can use as he continues to grow.

Oh my goodness! It's so hard to find something for my son that he can play with since he's only 3 months and it's hard for him to even hold things. He tends to be happier if he keeps his hands busy (characteristic of a Scorpio [late October to late November]), so up to now all I can find for him are skinny rattles. We bought him this about three weeks ago and I put it on his carseat and HE LOVES IT!!! I cannot give a rave enough review. When he wakes up, instead of crying he sits there and stares at it. He loves to hold the rings to give him something to do with his hands. He also has the option to shake it so he can hear the rattle, and he likes to grab his wings and make them crinkle. I LOVE THIS TOY, AND MY SON DOES, TOO! Imagine how much more he'll love it as he gets older and can grab all of the things hanging from Buzz's legs, and even carry it around!

I bought 4 Lamaze toys based on their 5 stars reviews, Buzz the Bug, Freddie the Firefly, Mortimer the Moose, and Jacques the Peacock. They are all beautiful and good quality and all have teething rings, squeakers, crinkles, and rattles. BUT to be honest Jacques the Peacock beats them all so easily, my baby only cares about jack. When she was born I show her the High contrast Black and White dots on jack's wings, and she was so mesmerized for several minutes.. While I agree that all Lamaze baby products are good and worth buying, but I think 1 or 2 is enough.

I got this for my baby when she was 6 months old because she seemed attracted to the vivid colors. There's so much for her to do with it! She's nearly 11 months now and the bug still gets a smile every time I shake it at her (it makes a pleasant rattle-y jingly noise). With a squeaker, crinkly wings, lots of shapes and colors, it has a lot of variety. The floppy legs are easy to hold and it's a real sturdy toy much chewing and tugging and tossing haven't affected it at all. It's even withstood some abuse from the 4 year old and looks just great!

My grandson carries the Bunnies By the Bay 14 inch Floppy Bunny everywhere he goes. We've ordered several spares to be sure to always have one on hand! HABA Doll Soft Doll Fiona

I love the looks of so many premium dolls, but don't want to spend a ton of money! This cute Haba doll was a nice way to buy a quality doll without overspending. This has been pulled, thrown and tossed in the wash and it's still cute as can be!

I bought this for my daughter to be her 1st doll. She's 8 mos, but it's still a good choice age wise.

She loves to play with it, with me. It's nice & soft to sleep (if your child is old enough for that) with. I love Haba brand & we have lots of their toys.

I bought this toy at a local TJ Maxx and I'm glad I didn't pay full priceeven the $6.99 I paid was too much though. The music and scenes are cute, but neither of my year old twins have ever enjoyed playing with it and we've had it since they were about 5 mos old. One problem is that the button to change scenes and play music requires a pretty strong push for a baby. I thought maybe it was just that my twins were too young to figure it out, but now at a year they have been pushing buttons on toys for a while and they can't get this one down. It could be cute if the scenes and music played more easily. I wouldn't waste my money; there are lots of other toys that are more fun. The Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes is much better.

This toy only plays a song for a few seconds and must be activated again, for a very young child/infant it is cast aside for similar toys that play music for a minute or more. More than three scenes would make it more interesting also.

Disney Mini Aurora Sleeping Beauty Plush Doll -- 11'' H

My (3 year old) daughter loves this doll. Aurora is her favorite (mostly because of the pink dress!), and she has barely put this thing down since she got it. I love that it's smaller than the other line of Disney Princess dolls -takes up less space in her already crowded stuffed animal infestation! I will say that the light pink section around the top (the peplum, if you will!) has already started to fray after only a week of ownership. Definitely a design flaw because it had raw edges to begin with. My daughter doesn't seem to care, but I know that it will only get worse. That would be my only complaint. Other than that, it seems very well made.

Brainy Baby 123's Board Book

My granddaughter loves the Brainy Baby television shows and I just knew she would like a book from the series as well. Great quality board book.

Each page has a number with the same number of a different item. It goes up to 20. Not really a story book but teaches counting. My son is 2 and can count to 20 thanks to this book.

Fisher-Price Rock Roll 'n Ride Trike

I thought I'd have my son Connor demonstrate how this tricycle passes the toddler test.

This is so reasonable in price and provides so much fun for so long. We gave it to my son when he was one year. He is two and still uses it every day. He can't do the pedals yet but he goes around the block on this propelling himself with his feet. Its extremely sturdy and balanced and is not prone to tipping. In fact, he has only fallen a couple times and that was when he got on or off and just didn't swing his leg over it far enough. Yep, there are more expensive nicer looking trikes, but this is fun and relatively safe even before they can pedal. And my son still has fun to come on this one once he learns to pedal! Update: My son used this trike until he turned 6!

I purchased the previous version of the Rock, Roll & Ride for my eldest son when he was two. The idea is great -anyone with at least one kid knows that multitasking toys are a wonderful idea. However, as a tricycle, this does have a few flaws.

The biggest flaw we found is with the plastic "tires." They look cute, but are really slippery, so they don't grip the ground well. My son had a really hard time learning to pedal because he'd get the movements right, but the trike wouldn't go anywhere... he just literally spun his wheels. Then, my husband wrapped rubber bands around the tires to help them get some traction, and that helped Jake long enough to get the hang of it. Also, if you use this outside, the tires get pretty scraped up, so you might not want to bring it back indoors where it could scratch your floors.

Another flaw was the short push handle, but according to the specs for this model they have lengthened the pushbar, which can only be good. I'm 5'6" and I thought it was too short for me before.

Lastly, I think this item has a short life span for your child. Jake turned three years old at the end of January, and he's really outgrown it in terms of what the trike can do. The ride just isn't smooth enough to justify him using for real "bike riding."

I've read a lot about trikes tipping, and if I think about it, this does tip, but not all that often, so that's a good feature.

Finally, I guess this is a good recommendation as an indoor toy. For a longer-lasting outdoor toy, I'd try one of the Kettlers.

This is a great toy. We gave it to my best friend's daughter for her 2nd birthday and she loved it instantly. There is NO design flaw. What people have trouble with is that when you screw together the wheel fork & steering wheel, the hole is only pre-drilled to a certain point. The other 3/4" you need to drill in yourself-into the plastic so that it stays secure. If it were pre-drilled all the way in, it would fall out. It's like that on purpose!

That said, the a power screw driver or drill with a screwdriver bit worked great. You also need a hammer to tap in some pieces on the wheels. It was easy to assemble.

I was a little worried about the handle height. I'm 5'8" and I could easily push it without bending over. I think people over 5'10" would have to bend down. Since the mom is going to be doing most of the pushing, and she's shorter than me, it won't be a problem. I hear the XL version of this trike has a longer handle.

It's really easy to convert from rocker to trike, and her 5-year-old cousin figured it out in under 5 minutes. The seat is adjustable to accommodate growth.

We have three of these as each of my boys received one for their first birthday and I think they are great. The only problem is I wish they were all at the same house two are by their Grandparents 3000 miles away while my three fight over the one we have at home. Makes we want to go buy one or two more. My six year old still loves to ride it even though he has moved onto a big boy bike because he can really zoom around the corners without getting nervous. The little foot rest doesn't do much but not a huge problem. Found that it worked best in the rocking mode when off the carpet. The handle is great as not only am I able to push them but they push each other. It really manuvers well. My almost 2 year old tries to pedal it but is not quite big enough so he just zooms around with foot power. All in all a great toy that after 5 years of constant use shows no signs of "decay" how many toys can you say that about?

My baby and my 9 year old have a great time with this toy. It really cracks them up. The one problem with it is that it tips over when the baby is trying to use it to pull himself up to a standing position. This happened mostly when he first started pulling up. Now he is better at it and doesn't seem to have such a problem with tipping it over. It would have been better if the base of it was wider.

I love this toy for my 7 month old but it's only $24.89 at target! I won't be buying it on here.

This product misses the mark in several ways. 1) The air barely pushes the ball out of the trunk. 2) When it does push the ball out of the trunk, the balls go flying. 3) My daughter cries when the elephant starts, and she isn't a baby who startles easily.

Basically, she cannot play with it independently, the balls keep getting lost and she is scared of it.
