I bought this "from Santa" for my 3 year old daughter who LOVES playing with flashlights. She was very excited when she saw it. However, the batteries don't seem to fit well enough inside, so it doesn't always connect with the metal part inside, thus not turning on. The feel of the plastic feels extra cheap too. I don't usually complain about products, but I would recommend getting a regular flash light in a fun color rather than this Dora flashlight. Maybe she can use it as a magic wand...

All my daughter asked Santa for was a purple flashlight. Seriously, she told the guy in the mall that's what she wanted. Because she likes Dora I thought this would be great. She was SO excited when she saw it under the tree Christmas morning. That lasted for 10 minutes which is as long as it worked. That was it. Luckily the keychain flashlight was small consolation. Now the teeny washer that holds it together is missing. So we are flashlight less. Totally disappointing and I won't buy anything from this manufacturer again.

The switch to turn off the flashlight of the molded SB wouldn't switch off. The child didn't care but if you were acutally trying to use this flashlight it would be useless because it runs till the battery dies.

My 19 month old wore this for Halloween. He looked like a real chef. The jack is big, but you can roll up the sleeves. The hat was too small, but my kid has a VERY big head so no big suprise there. I do wish they made checkered chef pants to complete the look. Very cute and something he can wear if he wants to play chef in the kitchen.

Sun Smart Baby Hideaway Pool

Our son is now 9 months old and has been using this pool through July and August. It is nice and small which makes it easy to blow up with your owne mouth and lungs. It does not take much water but an infant at this age does not need much. It's really a glorified bath for them. Our son sits and plays with his bath toys and maybe crawls around in it a little.

The hood comes off so we fill the pool with water and put it in the sun all morning to warm up the water. We put the hood on in the afternoon to block the sun and he jumps in for his "swim". Very easy to empty onto your lawn when pool time is over.

I highly recommend this to any parents with a 6-12 months old in the heat of the summer. You can't beat the price. Even if you use it 3 times, you are talking less than a session.

We bought this pool because our 14 month old baby hated taking a bath, but loved being in a pool. We use it indoors and let him play around in it during bath time. It's small, but fine for one little one, possibly two. We've had it for a month and it hasn't seemed to lose any air at all. Can't beat it for the price!

My daughter used this pool during her first two summers..she never liked the canopy so we just took it off, it was easy for her to get in and out was the perfect size and it stood up to some roughness with no problem.

Tolo Toys Tick Tock Musical Clock

I was so excited to find this clock for my son: it is cute, few parts, no batteries, sings a song and the hands move like a real clock, and it is sreamlined so there are no pieces to poke him when he wants to take it to bed. For five minutes at Christmas it was the gift, the song was cute, and everything else was great. Then the music stopped and it would not play anymore. From the sounds of it, the spring disconnected. Nice idea, but next time, especially for that kind of money, I hope Tolo makes another clock like this but keeps the springs attached. I haven't found out what customer service is like yet, at least I hope I get a full refund.

My 18 month old son has some other Tolo toys and they are great. This one however, is disappointing.

Bad points:

* Don't be fooled by the term "musical" it only plays Hickory Dickory Dock.....over and over and over again!

* It also arrived pretty scratched as there was some sand like powder in the box, but this was nothing compared to how scratched it got after my son played with it for 10 minutes.

* My other big complaint is that the hands don't line up, so when you put the minute hand on 12 O'clock, the hour hand is always inbetween two numbers. You can't teach telling the time if the hands won't show 2 O'clock, 3 O'clock etc.

The good points of the toy are:

* My son loves the handle and carries it around.

* The knobs are big and chunky, good for little hands.

* The musical part is wind-up, so no batteries required.

* The yellow and green parts next to the handle also twist and make a noise.

I really wanted to like this toy, but I just don't, its too basic and not carefully manufactured.

IQ Baby Zoom Zoom Vehicles

My daughter really likes these cars and I plan to give them as a gift in the future because of our experience with them. She loves opening all the different flaps and pockets. I originally introduced them at 6 mo, which was too young for her to really enjoy them. But now that she is close to one year, she "drives" them on the floor and makes "vroom vroom" noises. They are something she looks for in the toy bin and I would put them in the "favorite toy" category. You can't really tell from the picture, but the colors are bright and the wheels are plastic and move easily. The only thing I wish I could change is that they aren't machine washable.

My son started playing with these at about 6 months. He still plays with them everyday at almost a year. I think they are really cool, I love the colors and the flaps on them. I'm also a big fan of cloth toys. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a kid (baby to toddler) that likes cars.

My eight month old grandson loves his IQ Baby Zoom Zoom Vehicles. The six vehicles are colorful, having enough flaps and windows behind which colorful people and animals are hidden to keep him entertained for extended periods of time. The textures of the fabrics used in constructing these vehicles vary from shiney, smooth satin to corduroy-type finishes. The vehicles are sufficiently large so that he can grasp them even though his fine motor-skills are not fully developed.

We can actually get all six vehicles stacked, if we are quick, so that he can knock down the tower. This is one of his favorite things to do and results in smiles and laughter.

The finish work on these vehicles is well done. There are no rough seams or raw edges showing. The plastic wheels on all six vehicles have smooth edges; that is a real plus since those wheels are a favorite teething chew.

These little cars are so darn adorable. They seemed a bit expensive to me, but once they arrived, the detail was so lovely, I think they are worth the price. I just wish my son loved them as much as I did, but he's only 7-months old, so hopefully he'll grow into them. For now, I enjoy playing with them, lifting the flaps, and vroooming all around.

This walker is an wonderful and sturdy product and we are really happy we bought it. We had originally bought a safety 1st walker which was pretty flimsy and the music was way to loud with no way to adjust the the volume level. This one not only has two settings for volume it also plays a variety of other sounds and songs and it even has a little locking storage tray for you to plug in your mp3 player if you don't like the music the walker is playing. While the mp3 player is on, the lights on the walker will continue to shine when your baby hits the buttons which is and added plus to keep your baby from being bored (our baby get's bored easily)

I would absolutely recommend this walker to anybody who is looking for a nice walker. It is spendy, but if you compare the quality of this one to others, you know why it's so expensive. And I figured, that if I buy nice brands now, I will hopefully get a good use out of them and have a better chance of selling them later on when my child has grown out of it.

My pediatric developmentalist would have a fit (walkers always a no-no!), but my 7 month-old son likes this walker. He seems happy to have a little independent movement and he likes the toys and sounds on the front of the walker. I don't keep him in there long, I feel like 15-20 minutes is the maximum. Sometimes he doesn't even stay in it that long because this is a baby that likes to be held. A lot. :) But it is a good alternative to the Jumperoo and Exersaucer (also no-nos according to the specialist, but she has no children).

Fisher-Price Disney's Winnie the Pooh - Pooh's Musical Pop-up Choo Choo

We've now had this train for more than 6 months. He is still pretty rough with slamming the characters down and grabbing them when they are up. It's been a durable toy and helps teach cause and effect (push a button, something happens; pull or push the train, music plays). He still plays with this toy almost every day, so he's liked it a lot. As a parent, I wish it had a little more educational aspect Pooh asks to go on another ride, and if the child actually moved the toy again, it would be great if there was acknowledgement of the child's response. Each character pop-up only has two phrases, which can get on an adult's nerve after a while. However, it is still a favorite of his.

While a very cute toy train, there is not much to hold a child's interest (or an adult's patience). The toy consists of three train cars, one for each Piglet, Tigger, and Pooh. When the keys are pressed, each character makes a noise and says something and that is it 3 sounds to be repeated over and over. The toy seems very durable and the keys are even somewhat too hard for little fingers to press. The pop-up latches also seem to catch, making it hard for little fingers to close. It is cute, but very limited which makes it seem like a toy that will be short-lived.

The construction of this toy is what I want to comment on first. It's SO durable! Most plastic items you can buy at this time are thin and just feel cheap. They're easily cracked and simply don't hold up to constant play and wear. This little train is made of super-thick plastic, has a heavier feel than typical toys, and just feels like it can stand up to being tossed around/stepped on/chewed on/etc. I was very impressed with that aspect.

The actual "fun" factor is quite high for a child probably 8-9 months, as they're just getting into the concept of pushing buttons having a cause/effect. I think children over a year will be bored of the train easily, so the age range on the box could definitely be adjusted. I did like the pull-along feature, which would be great for those just beginning to walk, but the pop-up features would be better for the younger age range.

I didn't take issue with the volume level and the actual tunes/voices used in the toy aren't incredibly annoying as some toys are. Overall, I think the toy is priced a bit high for what you get (3 train cars), however the durability makes up for that. I'm always willing to pay a bit more for quality products. Ooh and the batteries are actually INCLUDED, which I find amazing.

From the second this was out of the box my two year old was glued to this toy. This is a bright colored train that is very interactive. The kids can push a variety of styles of buttons to activate the lids on colored train cars. They are delighted when their favorite Pooh characters pop out and surprise them with an audio voice/musical cue. (The voices/music cues aren't loud or annoying but it is very important to know that you can also turn the music OFF!) There is a pull string for the kids to walk around and make the train travel wherever they go. My two year old loves this train and it doesn't drive me crazy either. Soft edges, fun music, bright colors make this a great toy.

Its a fun little train, its probably more appropriate for even younger little ones. The buttons are lot of fun and each need to be turned or pressed a different way which gives a nice little challenge (for the 2 yo not the 4yo!) My kids had a great time playing with this though I will say it doesn't seem to pull very well, its more fun to just sit and play with then anything.

My 20-month old has a hard time unbuckling the buckles. They seem very stiff. Even I have a hard time pressing the buttons on the buckles to open them. First let me say I hate this toy but my grandson spends hours playing with it. I still have to unbuckle it for him but he loves to buckle them back up. We have the lion at my house and the monkey at his house. He is 22 months and I'm hoping he will be able to unbuckle soon himself. At 18 months he couldn't match the correct buckles up and would get frustrated well but now he is doing great.

This toy is very hard to use. I bought it when my son was 19 months old and he seems rather frustrated when he plays with it. First it is much too narrow. When a truck is on the top level and he tries to grab it his hand gets stuck. The middle and bottom level are a waste as he cannot reach the trucks when they are on these levels. The ramp is cute but it is hard to drive the trucks across the track and turn it so the truck goes down the ramp. When the elevator is on the bottom level, I have to help him grab the little handle to help pull it up because again his hand gets stuck. It also tips over very easily. All in all I think this toy is a waste of money.

I agree with the previous post. I bought this for my 2 year old son who loves fire trucks but he became frustrated when he had to squeeze his hand through it to get the fire truck to the other side. It is very narrow and not practical at all. If I had known it was that narrow I wouldn't have gotten it. My son doesn't even play with fire station now, just the little fire truck. I would not recommend this to a friend, it was a waste of money.

My son got this toy for his 4th birthday and will not stop playing with it. The ramp did fall off once but we were able to snap it back on and it has not fallen off since. He loves the slide pole for the trucks and that all the trucks fit nicely in the fire station and that he can play with the fire station and the construction querry at the same time and that it can go where he goes like to great grandma and great grandpa's house on vacation.

The only thing is I would not recommend this toy for any child under 3 it is for older preschoolers.

I am sure someone has already said the same things I will list. However I felt compelled to say to everyone thinking about purchasing this toy, "Only get it if it's free with free shipping."

I would like to share a few bad things: The ramp collapses every time the car goes down it. The twirl thing gets stuck going down and when you pull it up. The width of each level is so small my two-year-old cannot push the car through to the other side. The elevator is difficult to maneuver. It only comes with one car = one kid at a time. And even though Amazon lists it as $10, it's really worth no more than about 50 cents. I would have been better satisfied with any toy from a kid's meal.

I researched the vet kit for my daughter who is 7 and wanted something that would be realistic and age appropriate with lots of "stuff" to use as if she were a real vet....this was it! She loved all the little extras like the name tag, script pad, bandage for the animals etc. I would definately recommend this and was very pleased once it arrived. It came in a nice case to keep it all in one place and not misplace any of the extras. It was hard to find something that she wouldn't think was too childish, but this definately was a hit. It was a bit higher in price than other items, but well worth it once you see all the things it came with.

I purchased this toy for my son a while back and wanted to share what a profound and exciting impact this toy has had. Usually, we buy toys for him and 99% of the time, they end up in one place. His bedroom closet. Once they have made it to the closet, they are gone forever. Another $20 to $40 down the tubes!

Not with this toy though. He absolutely loves it and plays with the kit at least 3 to 4 times per week. We have added to they toy with more stuffed animals, another set of stethescopes so he can play with friends. If you want to be a hit with you kid this Christmas, I highly recommend this toy.

I bought this for my daughter and was very disappointed when it arrived. It is a nice collection of toys, in theory, with bandages, face mask and other nice ideas. Unfortunately, the quality of the toys is what I would expect from a gumball machine. The toy pincers, etc. do not move and are made of the lowest quality plastic. I am planning to throw away a number of the parts of this toy and then supplement it myself to put together a decent Christmas present. I'd recommend skipping this collection and just buying an ace bandage and a clipboard with a doctor's kit.

I bought this play box for my 4-year-old granddaughter and I was really disappointed. I like the storage box would be nice if all toys had them! But the gloves are adult size (even bigger) and the box really didn't have that much to it for the price. I'm sure the scrub gown will be torn in no time. The stuffed animals included are cheap. My granddaughter did enjoy the stethoscope and wrapping up the family's arms and legs with the bandage. I found a better veterinarian play box with more stuff and $10 cheaper through Signals that I wish I'd seen before this one. This play box was OK ... but I certainly disagree with the 5 star reviews.

Earlyears Stacking Activity Cubes

My son got these for Christmas when he was just over one years old. He loved them right away. He'd grab a cube and crawl around the house with it, clonk--clonk--clonk.

Now he is 20 months old and still loves playing with them. He's become proficient at stacking them, and the towers he makes pleases him to no end.

Each cube has it's own interesting draw--one is filled with tiny balls, another has a built-in prism, another makes a clicking noise, etc. I highly recommend these cubes, they're a good, quality toy that doesn't disappoint. They'd also make an excellent gift.

You stack these 5 cubes by lining up the triangles. It is a good problem solving toy because you have to figure out how to position each so it lines up and stacks correctly. Each also has its own little activity, so that's another demention of play. These hold my 17-month-old's attention, and I do think they have plenty to offer. I recommend them.

Love the fact that these do not have small pieces, they fit together to help children learn shapes and matching. The colors are very primary and help with learning the basic colors as well. I purchased this for my granddaughters when they were 18 months old and they love this toy. Now their 5 month old brother plays with it and I am secure in the knowledge that there is nothing he can swallow or pull apart. If it survived 2 years with the girls it can survive anything. They are extremely destructive and toys rarely last but this has lasted very well. Even when they cannot find all of the pieces they can usually find at least two of them to play with this toy. I highly recommend it if you are looking for an educational toy for your children or your grandchildren or just unsure what to give as a gift at a birthday party. I would personally recommend it for children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years. My grandson is playing with it at 5 months and is safe but he doesn't get much out of it other than something to teeth on.

These were a gift to four month old twins. Their mom says the blocks are every bit as fascinating as they are pictured. They had been recommended by a physical therapist for sensory stimulation. Their mom says they both stare at the cubes at length , but she expects them to get full benefit at six months. Meanwhile daddy plays with them constantly especially after another sleepless night. Sturdy enough for old and young, these are a great toy.

My son's physical therapist recommended these blocks because she said they were great for fine motor skill development. He just loves playing with them. Rowdy The Garbage Truck Motorized Vehicles

Love this Truck! We have collected most all of them! Have some of the stunt toys. My grandson loves Chuck and Friends.

So glad they sell these individually. My son stripped the gears in the "chuck" truck he had and it was useless with the stunt set it came with. I was happy to see I could get replacements and the entire toy was not junked.

Fairytale Witch Costume

This witch costume fit my almost 5-year old daughter perfectly. She loved the long fringed sleeves. And although she wanted to be a "mean witch" for Halloween, she really looks quite beautiful in this much friendlier-looking costume. It was hard to keep the hat on her head, as there was no elastic band or anything to keep it secured. The purple lace at the neck area is a bit scratchy, so it would be wise to wear a shirt as an inner layer. All in all, a great costume for a very reasonable price.

I purchased this and the Storybook Witch Costume both in 2T for my child age 17 months who is 25 pounds. It fit perfectly. Very cute and received tons of compliments. Everyone was asking if I had made the costume. The only down side was the hat was hard to keep on as there was no strap.

I had thought that this costume appeared to be of higher quality than your average drugstore Halloween costume. From the picture, it appears that it has a very full skirt, possibly with some batting or netting underneath. Nope. On my little 3 year old witch, it hung completely flat and straight down her legs. I also had issues with it fraying and ripping pretty quickly. And it comes smashed in the standard plastic bag so the hat has a crease in it.

Cute enough, but expecting a little more.

My 3-year old daugher was determined to be a witch this past halloween and I let her pick out her costume from Amazon. She was in a size 5 at the time so we ordered a size 5/6. Overall we were happy with this costume as my daughter was able to wear it at least 4 times, but it was also somewhat tough for a potty trained kid to pick up in the bathroom. It was not bulky, but a little one and hard to deal with with some warmer clothes underneath (it was cold during Halloween here).

We were overally happy with the costume and the seller was very prompt and was very communicative on the order staus.

K's Kids Drop N Go Emma

I was eager to see this toy for my daughter and envisioned her crawling around the house after it. The toy itself is really cute and well made, however it does not work on carpet at all (doesn't even move). If your home is largely carpeted, I would pass on this toy.

This chicken is a lot of fun for a walking 1 year old. They have to drop the eggs in the back of the chicken and then she takes off laying the eggs behind her. It keeps them chasing after her. Our son thinks the eggs falling out is hilarious. Didn't give this product 5 stars because it seems a little pricy for what it is and she can only hold 2 eggs at a time so we have extra eggs rolling around that seem to go missing, but I guess that's why they give you 4.

We bought this toy for our 4 month old daughter for Christmas. She is fascinated by it and would crawl after it if she were able. Instead she reaches and rolls towards Emma when Emma rolls away. I agree with the review which said that Emma doesn't work on carpet. However, Emma works great on tile and hardwood floors. The music is not annoying and I enjoy watching Emma as much as my daughter does. Great purchase overall.

Bought this toy for my 2 yr old niece. Initially she enjoyed the toy, she thought it was funny when the eggs came out. However, the eggs stopped shooting out of the toy shortly after. She was over it in a week.
