I love that you can open and clean these easily, but they are very hard to squirt, my two year old could easily squirt the cheaper kind but has no chance with these. I have to really squish them to get water to come out.

I bought these for my granddaughter because the other duckies she had were molding inside. These you pull apart and let air dry. We do not switch the bodies and the heads because she is only 18 months but she loves them.

My daughter got these as a gift. She loves bath toys and I hate the mildew her other squirting toys accumulate, so I thought these would be great, but I was disappointed. The toys are much too hard for a baby/toddler to squirt and don't squirt well even when I push them (when you squeeze them, water and air comes out of the middle where the parts meet). After a few tries, I put them away.

These squirt toys come apart so they can be cleaned or allowed to air-dry, which is extremely important to avoid mold. I have first-hand experience with other squirters that have grown mold inside of them. I have never had an issue with these squirters. My one-year old enjoys them, and as she gets older, it will be fun to mix and match the animal heads and bodies.

Baby Stacking Cups

My 7 month old son loves classic stacking cups from his grandmother's house that are over 20 years old, so I thought I would get some. The colors and the number of cups in this product appealed to me. When they arrived, I was disappointed that the colors were not the same as the picture. Instead of 8 different colors, there were only 4: red, yellow, green and blue. Also, they cups do not have a very sturdy fit when they stack like some of the classic stacking cups have. In addition, the top cups are VERY small. The smallest one is about an inch or so. Too small for my liking. Some of the cups have holes in them as well, and I have no idea why.

Maybe I'm the only idiot that just assumed these were bigger than they are without really looking closely at the measurements, but they are not big at all. The largest "cup" is about the size of a laundry detergent lid. The smallest... a little bigger than a soda bottle lid. The stickers are also very cheap looking and most have "bubbles" in them; just cheap graphics. I have seen some really awesome stacking "cup" sets but this doesn't compare. Definitely a disappointment to receive in the mail. If you're looking for a small set, however, these might work for you. I just was hoping for a set that my little one could build as tall as she is (or close). But, at least we have great circle cutters of all sizes for Play-Doh =)

KidCo Bath Toy Organizer Storage Basket

If you have to share the bathtub/shower with your baby, the curtain won't close around this item. We only have 1 bathroom and can't use it for that reason. Would be good if the child had their own bathroom though.

We've had this for about 6 months now and it's working out great. No mildew yet. It's ideal to drain the toys after bath time. Was super easy to install. It also was a bonus because we place it in front of the bath faucet, so if my son wants to reach the faucet, there is a bit of distance. I think the price is a little high for a piece of plastic, but I'd purchase this again.

After reading some reviews on this, I was surprised that it was much bigger than I expected. We don't use it for toy storage, instead I use it for my daughter's cups of water that she usually puts on the edge of the tub and drips water everywhere. She loves it. My daughter's bathroom is also the guest bathroom so when people come to stay with us, we have to dig all the tub toys out.

We originally had the Boon Frog toy thing that sticks to the way. It was horrible and didn't work at all. I was skeptical of ordering something after that experience.

This organizer is perfect. It keeps all the toys out of the tub. It has removable dividers which are perfect for organizing bath toys.

I noticed some people mentioned that you can't use it in the shower if you share the same bathroom. I disagree. We just push it all the way to the back and then the shower curtain will close easily.

My 7 month old son LOVES this costume. We live in California so trying to find a not-so-warm costume is difficult, but this works perfectly. If you live in colder weather, a thermal would fit underneath it just fine. It's not itchy and my little guy laughed when he saw himself in the mirror. The head piece didn't bother him one bit. The fit was perfect, but my guy is small for his age so make sure to order accordingly.

Ambi Chirpy Bird - Two in One Whistle and Bath Toy

This whistle is darling, and my 17-month old son went crazy as soon as he saw it. Unfortunately, the design is such that the "whistle hole" is very close to the mouthpiece tip, so it takes some careful mouth positioning in order to make the whistle work. My son became immediately frustrated after trying several times to blow into it without success for this reason. We'll love it when he's a bit older and figures out how to keep his lips closer to the tip. Very cute though, and works great!

My girls really enjoy playing with this in the bathtub and even outside the tub. Depending on the amount of water in it you get varying pitches and tones and it really does sound like a bird. Even my older boys kept going back to play with it. The whistle mouth piece is a little short so you do have to show younger kids how to avoid putting much of their mouth over it in order to not block the air hole as other reviewers mentioned. Neat toy overall and certainly a great gift.

Few days later she took it out of her box and tried to blow it. Obviously it did not work but she did not get upset because she saw it made me very happy. Everywhere I look I see parents are getting ready for back to school.....I know it's still summer so why are we even thinking about school?! My son is still to young for school however he does need some new pants and since he is still growing, in order to save money I always like to get him pants that are bigger for him. got these for my boys. Only because there is a story behind trains in our growing family. Its how mommy and daddy met 11 years ago. Well. 5 years later on July 27, 2012 we are getting married and I love teaching my boys this story so they can grow up to tell to their kids someday. These are really neat idea. They even work great for holding lots of paper together. Also very great for our rainy state 9 months a year to keep those pants dry and my kids happy. I very much like the concept of this product. They work well to hold up the hem of my son's pants. However, after about 4 days of use, the rubber 3-d train design started to come unglued from the clip. I have to reglue the design to keep from losing it.

This product has NO VOLUME CONTROL and is incredibly loud... so much so that my son seems to be afraid of doing anything that might cause it to launch into another horrible song. The pop up contains nothing... it's just an empty shell, so that is disappointing. There are two little lights that flash at the top, but it doesn't correspond with the action of the tabs flipping up. After ~2 minutes of playing with this, the number 3 won't open anymore unless I pry it up. I should have known the price was too good to be true. I hate it and my son doesn't seem to care too much for it. I would recommend finding something else.

I have an Evenflo carseat, so my handles are abit different then the one actually pictured it makes the toy sit just inches from her face. I haven't quite figured out how it has 6 melodies, do you need to open the battery compartment to activate this or something? You pull the middle toy down and it plays the same thing. My 3 month old daughter seems to like it espically the mirror she can look into but I doubt we'll be using this much longer the bigger she gets this toy would be sitting on top of her.

This is perfect for keeping her little eyes and hands busy. My only complaint is she was able to pull one of the toys off the ribbons. She was about 9 months old when she did it so she wasn't earth shattering strong so I was a little disappointed. However, she has had it now for about 9 months and still enjoys playing with it.

A little pricey, but fun for those reluctant crawlers who have always slept on their backs and aren't thrilled with "tummy time." The clear roof area allows them to look up and lets light in, so it's not a long dark tunnel like those for older kids. Someone/something intriguing needs to be on the other side so baby will want to crawl through. Included mat for the floor allows child to get traction and is easy on the knees. Wonderful item for mommy and tot playgroups. Not a necessity, but fun for an activity toy.

I bought this for my son's 1st birthday because he loves to crawl through/under/around things and all of the tent/tunnel things claim they are not for children under 3 due to small parts. I also decided on this because our space is limited and it seemed smaller.

It's a super cute tunnel. Very durable. He played with it for about 2 days. Loved the mirror I think the best. My 1 yr old is a bigger 1 yr old and it was really just a too late toy. That's my fault. I think I could have gotten this when he was 8 or 9 months and he would have had a ball.

So, assuming your child is at least 6 months and less than I'd say 11 months, they'll more than likely love it!

Fisher-Price Growing Baby Animal Activity Puzzle

My daughter is now 9 months, and loves to try to put things together. She was really interested in one of my puzzles, so I wanted to get her a very simple puzzle to start her off. This was a great find! The pieces are easy to remove, and take little effort for her to put back (the rare times she is finished playing with the pieces). She also loves that she can pick up the whole board and dump it out for maximum mess making. Each piece has a different attribute (rattle, squeaker, goggly eye, fabric, giggle, and rotating mane), which individually interest her. They also all have been taste tested, and approved (especially the lion). An all around great find!

The only minor complaint is the animal pictures inside the base are stickers not printed on. I haven't had an issue, but some may not like that.

My son is 9.5 months old. My son loved a wood puzzle with a large round handle (or eating it, anyway) at a friend's house, so I wanted to buy him a puzzle of his own. I didn't know what make that particular puzzle was (I now know it was Imaginarium and have since purchased one).

Anyway, at the time I bought this Growing Baby Animal Fisher Price puzzle, I had researched wood puzzles and realized most of the wooden puzzles I could find were made by a CT manufacturer who had been found to have trace amounts of arsenic in their paint used on some of the wooden toys. I'm not sure how old the messages about the arsenic paint that I found online were or how accurate (it is a rather prominent company with toys in every store I go into-so they most likely are safe), but it worried me anyway. So, finding this plastic, Fisher Price puzzle pleased me a bunch! The price was great and it was clearly for little hands. Plus, knowing it came from Fisher Price made me feel good about the puzzle. And, it looked like fun. I bought it right away!

Our experience with this product so far: My son is only minimally interested in this puzzle right now. He takes it, dumps the pieces, maybe chews on a couple, stares at the Googly eye on the fish, and often takes a piece or two and bangs it on some furniture. Then he crawls away. However, he is still young for a puzzle. My son exhibits this same kind of attention span with almost every toy he owns-so I don't blame the puzzle. I really like that it is educational and safe. I am sure there'll be more serious puzzle play (so to speak) once he is closer to 1.

As for the wood puzzle I ended up buying which has 3 pieces: All my son does is take a piece and walk around with the round handle in his mouth like a pacifier. This confirms my theory that he's just too young for a puzzle of any sort. I must admit I feel much better about him putting the Fisher Price puzzle parts in his mouth than the wooden pieces, and since he bangs them on wood floors and furniture, the plastic pieces do no damage whereas the wood ones leave little marks when banged.

So, overall, I'd surely recommend this Fisher Price product as a first puzzle over other alternatives.

For the price, you can't go wrong! Get it.

This puzzle is great for ages 6 months and up... at first they will just use it as a toy. the animals are bright and fun to look at and chew. and there are a couple noises to hold interest, too. then they will learn to start putting them back into the puzzle probably around 12 months, give or take a couple months. we have a number of "first puzzles" but most are wood. I like that this is plastic so there is no worries about the baby trying to mouth the pieces. the only thing I would change is to make at least one of the animals out of softer (ie more rubbery or chewable) material. all of them are hard plastic. that doesn't stop the baby from chewing... but the rubbery type material is a litte more fun to chew.

This puzzle is cute and interesting for little ones because of the activities on the pieces. The lion's spinning mane is especially nice. I do wish the pictures under the pieces weren't stickers, but they seem to be holding up so far. I'm glad I got this.

My daughter absolutely loves this. We wanted to find her a puzzle that is "chew friendly" as she chews on everything and didn't want to go with a wood or cardboard one as participial could eventually breakdown and she could swallow some of it... so needless to say this was perfect for her and all pieces have a different feature, such as rattle, squeak, move, etc.

I am a Speech Pathologist and use these toy with all my toddlers. It is appropriate for this age group due to the cause and effect/dump and fill type play it involves. The shapes make sounds as they are put into the slots which is very motivating to toddlers. I use it to stimulate language by with holding the shapes and requiring the child to ask for them (more, mine, my turn). You can also work on turn taking with this toy. I call this my magic toy and buy it for all of my friends who have young toddlers. Enjoy.

The images and description of this toy don't explain it very well.

There are three posts and three tubes situated in a circle. The three posts each have three shapes that slide up and down as you turn the toy. Those shapes do not come off, they just make noise as they clank together. Each tube has a unique shape with a matching toy. These toys have a whistle in them, so that when the shape slides down the tube it whistles. My son walks around with them in his mouth, blowing and sucking on them to make noise.

These tubes are what enable the Battat to function as a shape sorter (unlike most shape sorters). Since the shapes go into tubes, you retrieve them by turning it upside down. That means no lid is necessary, so if your child wants to put the blocks in, he has to put them through the shaped holes.

Though I'm disappointed that there's only one block of each shape, I much prefer this shape sorter to the one I purchased with a removable, non-latching lid. That one is worthless for anything other than a toy bucket.

I'll keep it short and sweet. My 18 month old gets bored fairly easy. He figures his toys out, his puzzles etc and then moves on pretty quickly. We got this shape sorter and he goes back to it time and time again. The sound is really cute. Not too obnoxious. Its the perfect size and weight for him to carry around. He can use the shapes as little noise makers by blowing into them and he's learning shapes and colours at the same time. (Or can). Bought this on the recommendation of a sales associate and am truly glad I did.

I am very familiar with this toy. We had one in my infant center in the Montessori school I worked in for several years. It was always popular with our little ones. It's simple but elegant, very sturdy and they all love the sounds they can make when they figure out how to breathe into each of the 3 shapes. My only complaint is that Battat does not sell replacement shapes. You have to purchase a whole new box if you lose one so be careful!

The toy worked for about 5 minutes and it was a lot of fun. Then one of the shapes got stuck in its chamber and another shape just stopped making the noise. I contacted the company to say that I liked the toy but wasn't happen with the quality. I asked if there was anything the company could do (replace the toy? replace the shapes?). I was told to return the toy to Amazon. So I did. Wish I could say that I got a new one and it worked great, but their customer service rep didn't offer that. Oh and I had to leave 2 messages and then call again before I could actually talk to anyone.

Gund My First Laptop Playset

We got this for our, now 8 mos old, son, in hopes that he'd MAYBE be more interested in it, than in OUR laptop.... well, on THAT note... it failed miserably... lol... but, in its defense.. its just like the remote, ps3 controller, phone etc... everything that adults use that have "magical powers"... lol

But it he does like it quite a bit as long as he can't see any of the "powerful" adult toys. =) The only complaint I had was that it was much smaller than I expected... but that's mostly bcs I didn't read the dimensions and put 2 & 2 together until after it had come. Which make that my own fault.

Our son does like the mirror, the mouse rattle, the crinkly CD.. I bet if it had real buttons on it.. he'd think it was magically powerful too... why not? That's what he thinks of the calculator?! =)

This Tupperware set has been around since my kids were small, and we recently bought one for the grands. They love it! great for teaching pouring and yes, sharing skills. Word to the wise: it takes a bit more coordination and strength than my grands have to utilize the top of the pitcher, so we take it off for them for pouring. The pitcher hold just a few ounces, so even spills are no big deal to clean up. We like that we can fill the pitcher, pop it in the fridge, and allow the little ones to "self serve". My grandsons are two and three, and it is a joy watching them use this very practical learning tool.
