My daughter was getting interested in our TV controller, so I caved and finally bought her something with buttons for her. I saw this little guitar, and fell in love.

The colors are perfect for a young baby; they're not too distracting or overstimulating.

The sound is quieter then other baby toys, so I won't find it as obnoxious when she smashes the buttons repeatedly. Plus, I love the three different guitar tunes it plays. They're different than the tinny sound of repetitive children's songs that flood the baby toy industry.

There are only three buttons. Being simpler like this makes it easier for baby to learn cause-and-effect.

I do wish there was a way to change the batteries. But I knew this before I bought it.

Noise-making toys like these can be be helpful in a child's cognitive development, but most are annoying and probably do more harm than good. Speaking from an early childhood development background, I recommend this one.

Just took the guitar out of the box and pulled out the battery tab. Handed it to my baby and pushed a button to watch him play with it. Couldn't hear anything. Had to put the product to my ear to hear the music. Like the other comments said the music device is completely encased in hard plastic with no holes for sound to come out. Also can't find a way to change the batteries. So again...DO NOT BUY

Super cute toy, and my baby loves chewing on the crunchy arms and tail, but when I threw it in the wash, the colors nearly left it completely. Also, the threads holding the head on broke easily. It's too much money for something that doesn't hold up to normal use.

For our review, we received the adorable Three Ring Monkey Stacker. This little guy is perfect for baby's who are starting to learn coordination. The large hoops are soft but big and easy to pull on off the plush stacker. They are easy to grip and baby's will love to chew on them. Like all their toys, the monkey is made from certified organic and natural cotton and even the dyes used in them are free of toxins. My daughter loved taking playing with the stacker and since there are no small pieces, we can even play with it in her playpen while I'm straightening up. It is machine wash safe. I noticed the other reviewer commented that the threads holding the head on came off easily. The head is not meant to stay on permanently. The threads were just part of the packaging and meant to be removed. The head is supposed to come off because its one of the pieces of the stacker. The price is a little high though, which is why I give it four stars instead of five.

KidCo Bath Toy Organizer Storage Basket

If you have to share the bathtub/shower with your baby, the curtain won't close around this item. We only have 1 bathroom and can't use it for that reason. Would be good if the child had their own bathroom though.

We've had this for about 6 months now and it's working out great. No mildew yet. It's ideal to drain the toys after bath time. Was super easy to install. It also was a bonus because we place it in front of the bath faucet, so if my son wants to reach the faucet, there is a bit of distance. I think the price is a little high for a piece of plastic, but I'd purchase this again.

After reading some reviews on this, I was surprised that it was much bigger than I expected. We don't use it for toy storage, instead I use it for my daughter's cups of water that she usually puts on the edge of the tub and drips water everywhere. She loves it. Easy to adjust, fits well, very sturdy.

My daughter's bathroom is also the guest bathroom so when people come to stay with us, we have to dig all the tub toys out.

We originally had the Boon Frog toy thing that sticks to the way. It was horrible and didn't work at all. I was skeptical of ordering something after that experience.

This organizer is perfect. It keeps all the toys out of the tub. It has removable dividers which are perfect for organizing bath toys.

I noticed some people mentioned that you can't use it in the shower if you share the same bathroom. I disagree. We just push it all the way to the back and then the shower curtain will close easily.

It has great bold colors, but that's about it. It is quite large I think my baby would like it better if it were smaller and lighter where she could hold it and shake it. My 3 year old picked it up and it didn't last long with him either.

I purchased this toy for my 10 month old niece for Christmas. So far, she seems to be enjoying it. I don't think there's much more I can say, other than it's of the same great quality of the other Haba toys of purchased her. It seems to be well above the average quality of most children's toys these days, and gives you the impression that it will last for years to come. Great product from a great company, aesthetically pleasing, and ~1 year old kiddos seem to like it. Sounds like a winner to me!

I bought this for my girlfriend who just had a baby girl. When it arrived at my house (I wanted to wrap it and give it to her myself) I opened it, and thought it was so incredibly cute that I didn't want to give it away! But I have two boys and they are older... so I decided it was best to resist. Sigh. She loved it... baby too.

I bought this and was very excited to put it in my baby girl's Easter basket. I ended up returning it and the seller wasn't great to work with. The description said that it had a chime sound when shaken. Yeah, if you shake it as vigorously as you would shake a can of spray paint! But what baby is going to do that? When I told them it didn't chime, they wrote back that they had received my return but that there was nothing wrong with it. I had to argue with them to get my refund. I wouldn't recommend buying this and definitely not this seller.

My 5 month old loves this toy and has since about 4 months. The squeaky chirp makes him smile and he loves chewing on her beak. He loves the crinkling nest and it is easy for him to play with because it is so light. We love haba and so far this chicken along with the kringerling, magic balls, and color snake clutching toys are his favorites.

Fisher-Price Little People Wheelies Rev 'n Sounds Race Track

I have 2 year old boy/girl twin grandchildren. I bought the racetrack for my grandson, but I also knew his sister would be playing with it, too, so I bought a couple of extra sets of cars. I feel confident when I purchase toys by Fisher-Price that they will be well made. This one is sturdy and has bright colors. I like how it folds up for storage and has a handle on the top to make it easier for little ones to take to a different location. The car noises are fun, in fact, it was making them when I brought it in from the porch. My one frustration with most Fisher-Price products is they do not package them in a way that will make them easy to wrap and this one is no exception.

my son got this for his first birthday. He loves it, plays with it daily. I also love that it folds up and I can put a few cards in it and take it with us when we go visit someone so that he will have something to play with. Great gift!

This is a great toy! He uses the rest of his Little People wheelie cars on it in addition to the race cars that come with it. He likes to "race" the cars and to angle the bottom of the ramp up to "jump" them into things. He also loves exploring all the nooks and crannies where he can store and wedge cars in the frame of the ramp. It closes up and can be carried with a handle, at least in theory. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay shut so my son can't can't carry it himself. The closing latch could use a bit of a redesign. We also have the 2ft tall wheelie race ramp and this little one is much better than that.

My son received the Cars version of this toy for his 2nd birthday last month (came with Lightning and Francesco). He absolutely loves it! He can race not only the cars that came with it and other wheelies, but his Tonka wheel pals and and Animal wheel pals (by Playskool maybe) also work. He has a ton of fun racing and we'll play together where I'll pick my car or animal and he'll pick his and we'll race. It folds up for easy storage and has a handle for carrying it around or taking to Grandma's house. Plus you can fit more wheelies than just the two in the storage "garage" for transport. It's strong plastic and very durable, I haven't had any problems with it and would be surprised if it broke. It's a great toy.

We bought this toy for our 18-month old son. Now that he's almost two, he likes to play with it even more. Even older kids like to race two cars against one another and see who goes the farthest. This toy is great, because, unlike some other race track toys, it folds up quite compact and doesn't take up a lot of room. Our baby girl is still a bit too young to enjoy this, but it appears to be excellently made of great quality.

I bought this rattle for my 3 month old daughter. She is getting pretty good at grabbing stuff, but this rattle proved to be too heavy for her. It's really well made and I think it's cool its made from recycled plastic and sawdust, but I don't know if she will still be so interested in it by the time she can wave it around well.

not sure what exactly the appeal is, maybe it's the rings in the middle, the slightly indentable rubber center, the fact that there's a giant hole, i have no idea, he has much more complex rattles, with colors and beads, but this one is easily his favorite. he will hold it and shake it and carry it around and stare at it and turn it around in his hands for a long time. i bought it before he was born and he's 9 months now and it's still his favorite rattle.

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 11 month old. I think I may have waited a little too long to get this for him though...he probably would have found it more entertaining when he was a little younger. But, it is a very well made rattle! I bought two of these backpacks, one as a birthday gift for a two year old girl, and one as a Christmas gift for my daughter who is just shy of two. The two year old loved it and it was the perfect size for her frame. The backpack was a bit much for my 19-month old, but as she grows closer to two years old, she is more interested in wearing it. It doesn't hold much, perhaps four or five, small to medium sized books. It doesn't have any interior/exterior pockets, so this wouldn't be the book bag for an elementary school child. But for a 2 or 3 year old child, for library trips, this does the trick and make them feel like a "big kid".

Little Tikes Bumble Bee Buggy

This is the nicest little buggy! I had never seen this in any store but saw it on-line for about $10 more through a big-name toy store. I found it on Amazon and bought the buggy for my 1 year old niece's birthday. She really loved it and wanted to get in it right away. She doesn't understand how to scoot around in it yet, but I'm certain that will come soon. My 2 and 4 yr. old nephews both tried it out and they really enjoyed it too, so this is a good toy for any child in the 1-4 yr. age range. All of the kids were very attracted to the face, especially the antennas, which bobble around.

Aside from how well the kids liked it, I was very pleased that it is extremely well made. In fact, given how nice it is, you would think you would have to pay a lot more money for it than I did (plus I got the bonus of free Amazon shipping!). There's plenty of leg clearance, even for the older kids. The wheels spin completely around, which is a really nice feature because the buggy doesn't get stuck as easily as other similar toys. The toy does need to be assembled but it is very easy to do and the instructions are very clear; I had it put together within a half hour. Really pleased with my purchase.

I am not a fan of this product at all. I wish I had mailed it back. The steering wheel is not connected to anything. It's tough for toddlers to get in and out on their own because there is no door entrance like other riders. The wheels do their own thing. It is incredibly frusterating even for my preschooler because she can't make it go the direction she wants to go, even on the sidewalk. I don't recommend this product.

-seems really sturdy & durable have only had it 2 weeks

-my kids (5 toddlers in a home daycare) LOVE it sitting in it, pushing it, playing with the antennae

CONS:

-topples over pretty easily, usually when trying to get in or leaning over the side while sitting in it doesn't seem to deter them from wanting to play with it, but it's frustrating!

-kind of a pain to put together, but honestly, didn't take too long (20 min?)

-kind of difficult to manuever -only the 2 yr old has figured it out the 15, 17, & 20 month old can't get it to move! (well, not forward anyway!)

It was definitely worth the $ I paid for it, but not sure that I'd pay ...

We had read previous reviews on this before purchasing and decided to give it a go. Overall, we are pleased with the overall costume. We did not have the time to try to make our own so this was our only option. It is pretty true to size. Our daughter is 10 months old and this fits her perfectly (size 6-12 month). So if you have a huge baby, you might want to get the next size up. The head piece goes over her head and bothers her but we took a rubber band and and or safety pin (clasp) and pull the back so it forces the front circle to fit her face tighter and she forgets its on. This stops it from "sliding around" and "covering her eyes" at times while wearing.

I ordered four of these this year and only one actually worked. This seems to be the norm for Shelcore products. I was quite disappointed that only one actually worked because this toy is visually stimulating. I had hoped to give them to the 9 12 month old children in the family but now only one child will be able to enjoy this toy. When you press the top of the toy the animals rotate, the little monkeys climb up and down the tree and there is music and lights to help the production. I think it's a cool toy if you get one that works.

very cute and though a little flimsy, my grandson really likes it. there are 2 animals on the side that are supposed to pop up and down when it's playing like they are trying to jump up the tree, that do not work most of the times--when they do however, they really catch my grandson's attention! other than that, the lights and center merry-go-round are very cute!

It's not loud music but, that I don't mind, but when you push don't the top it is a very loud mechanical sound to move the little animals around and clicks loud to move the side ones. You can barely hear the music.

This is a great toy. It works like a top. When you press the sun on the top the little birds underneath spin arround. Then, the monkeys on the side jump up and down and the animals in the middle spin arround all while some neat music plays. My 1yo. loves this....Actually so do my 4 and 6 yos.

The music of this toy is too noisy. It just scared my one-year-old baby the first several times. And my baby learned a long time need to push very hard on the top button. The design of this toy is cute.

Tolo Toys First Friends Skateboarder

My one-year-old nephew loves to make "vroomvroom" sounds while pushing this cutie around on the floor. His three-year-old sister likes to "try it out" on the hardwood floor, making jokes when it falls over that it reminds her of her daddy (a skateboarder from way back). The only thing I didn't like was the difficulty in making the tummy button squeak. If it was difficult for me, it's nearly impossible for a one-year-old. Otherwise, a lovely toy!

This toy is very durable and the rubber wheels on the board allow it to roll smoothly on all surfaces. The boy stays on the board great and all of his parts make noise when moved. The tummy squeaker is difficult to squeak, but that does not take away from the fun. Other Tolo My First Friends also fit on the board.

Playskool Poppin' Park Elefun Busy Ball Popper - Blue

My baby and my 9 year old have a great time with this toy. It really cracks them up. The one problem with it is that it tips over when the baby is trying to use it to pull himself up to a standing position. This happened mostly when he first started pulling up. Now he is better at it and doesn't seem to have such a problem with tipping it over. It would have been better if the base of it was wider.

I love this toy for my 7 month old but it's only $24.89 at target! I won't be buying it on here.

This product misses the mark in several ways. 1) The air barely pushes the ball out of the trunk. 2) When it does push the ball out of the trunk, the balls go flying. 3) My daughter cries when the elephant starts, and she isn't a baby who startles easily.

Basically, she cannot play with it independently, the balls keep getting lost and she is scared of it.

Kushies Zolo Libro

I am disappointed with this book (cat version). The objects in the water filled fish tank page do not float or move within as one would expect and the cat sound is almost impossible to activate (even for an adult). The book is cute and my infant enjoys it, but I would expect a better product for what is advertised and the price paid.

Clearly not a story book, Ozlo (like Coco) is a "multisensory activity book". The pages feature bright colors, different textures, a reflective surface, and even a doggy sound. This is a cheerful and imaginative update of the old "Pat the Bunny", first published in 1940, and a bit too fragile for tiny tots.

While i love reading books, my daughter and i also enjoy books with no words. I have fun making stories to go with pictures. Since she began talking, i can ask her what she sees, which encourages speaking and vocabulary. And now she can tell her own stories, using the visuals as a spark for her imagination.

I was disappointed when I pulled this toy out of the box. It's small, and there's no story. The only thing it's good for is a chew toy for my 11-month-old son. It was expensive for just being that. I wouldn't recommend it.

Tubby Tug Boat in Clear Packaging

We bought this for our daughter when she was 6 months old (she's one now), and I believe we'll be seeing it in her bathtub for at least another year, if not longer. It's a great mish-mash of things to play with.

The cups are terrific (and they have nice soft rubbery rims for your little teethers), one is solid, and the two others have different sieves on the bottoms so baby can play pouring games. They also stack on each other, and there is a place to fit them on top of the boat so they make a smokestack!

The fisherman floats in his life ring, and you can also sit him on the top of the boat.

The fish are fun to play with for an infant (one is a comb, and another has a nailbrush on it, so they can help with grooming too!), and when baby is older, they can be fished for with the fishing pole.

The paddle wheel on the boat itself can be wound up, and then the boat will propel itself a short distance.

And when bathtime is over, everything fits neatly into the boat for storage.

I've tossed the whole kit and kaboodle in the dishwasher for cleaning without a problem, so it's easy to clean up if your little one has an accident in the tub.

The only complaint I have with it is the portholes on the boat are set a little low, and it fills too easily, causing the boat to sink. This is really minor -Baby barely even notices. But I do!

Even with that, though, I would buy this again, and will probably buy it as a gift for other families.

Until recently, we had only a handful of rubber ducks for our almost 2-year old daughter to play with in the tub. Now she has her boat, and all of its accessories, and just loves it! She asks for it by name, "Boat! boat!" The smaller toys fit neatly into the boat, which is great if you have limited space in the bathroom. This is several toys in one, and I can see our daughter enjoying it for a long time.

I bought this for my daughter who is 2 1/2 years old and she loves it. I had read the other reviews and was concerned about the open portholes causing sinking but the boat that I received has closed portholes. Looks like the designers have fixed that problem!

This is a very fun toy for a kid who has outgrown the basic baby bath toys. My daughter loves that all the things can be stored inside the boat and is always taking them in and out. The stacking cups with drain holes are a fun toy all by themselves so is the fishing set. I think this is well worth the money. Fun for the kiddie pool and the bath!

My son got this when he turned 2. Now 2.5! We had a pool party and quickly discovered this boat dosen't float! His cousin had alot of fun going to the bottom of the pool to get it. The toys that come with it are nice but we had to take the fishing pole away because he kept getting hurt (swinging it around). He uses the scrubbers in the bath to clean his toes and finger nails. He pushes the boat around on the carpet and seems to like it. WISH IT WOULD FLOAT!

I purchased this item specifically because the product description indicates "no beans," however, the seat of the bear contains beans. The bear arrived looking like the image provided, it's the perfect size for a little one, it arrived on time, but I am disapppointed about the beans.

My nephew loves the toy. I was mislead by add and thought 2 figures were included in the circus train but only one was provided. No info how to order additional figures that go with set was provided. He loves and plays with the toy but thought was a poor value with only one figure.

Love the idea of this product, but don't give to your baby or toddler. It smells very strongly of chemicals, and if you taste it, like all babies do, it will make your mouth and tongue numb. Funny, I thought it was supposed to be safe...

I purchased these for my son because I am trying to minimize the amount of plastic he puts in his mouth. This set is great for developmental play. He's 8 1/2 months old so doesn't quite get the nesting/stacking concept, but he likes to knock them down if stacked up and they are a wonderful wooden material that I don't worry about him chewing on these at all. As he grows he's found more innovative things to do with the bowls, and these were a great addition to the toys we already have.

We were looking for nesting bowls made out of wood rather than plastic and this popped up. Our ten month old daughter loves them, they've been percussion instruments, a stacking toy, and a food bowl, so their simplicity is a big strength for your child's imagination. We also have peace of mind as parents that this product will not leach chemicals typically associated with softer plastics. We did remove the smallest bowl because the product is smaller than appears in the pictures and we were concerned it might present a choking hazard until our daughter is a bit older (the rule of thumb is that anything that fits in a toilet paper tube could present a choking hazard)
