Over all this is a great toy. The lights and baby dance-club music really entertain. Lots of learning to be done, dropping the balls, watching where they end up. BUT BE CAREFUL! We bought this toy as a gift for our neice, and received one as a gift for our 10 month old son. They are different! The one we bought for our neice looks just like the one in the illustration. The minute the child tries to pull up on it, it tips over. It caused a few bumps and lots of tears in our house. A little one, not firm in their standing, simply can't play with it without hurting themselves by falling over.

The one we received as a gift for our son has an added, extended base. It barely wobbles now when he pulls himself up on it. MUCH better than the older model. Just a word of warning to parents with little ones learning to pull up, try to check out the model before you buy it. Seems those in the retail (brick & morter) stores are the newer models, online tends to still have the more dangerous/wobbly model.

This toy was very good for my son when he was learning to pull himself up. It helped him to keep steady. He also began to understand the concepts of cause and effect. I put the ball in here, it comes out over here. But he soon lost interest in it after he started walking. There were only so many times he could put the ball in the hole and watch it roll down. It became boring for him and he moved on to other toys that stimulated his mind a lot more. I only recommend this toy for babies 6-12 months, after that, they move on to bigger (and better) toys.

We bought this for our son Dylan in August, for his 1st birthday. While he loves this toy (but only the music bit--he could care less about the balls), its not a steady toy to pull up on. It wobbles easily, and he's fallen a few times trying to pull himself up on it. I've also heard from other moms with the same problem.

Also, watch your assembly carefully--I followed the directions exactly, but the ramps didn't line up with the ball holes. My husband had to pry the whole thing apart and start again.

Its a fun toy, but I've heard of lots of them being returned. Most of Dylan's play group loved the Ball Blast, but we were always around to catch one of them when they fell. My advice is to get it, but only play with it when you are on the floor with them!

Discovery Wagon

After much deliberation and reading reviews, we decided on this walker for our grandson because of the durability and darling "toy factor". The only thing missing is the friction brake(s) on the wheels and my brilliant husband remedied that problem by wrapping yarn around the inside of each wheel 'til the wagon moves the speed we want (cut the yarn off, or unwrap/rewrap to adjust, when baby is ready for a faster push)! So far, our nearly 9 mo old is sitting on the seat, playing with the toys and pulling himself to a standing position on this sturdy wagon (doesn't fall over and he's a BIG boy at 23 lbs). We're confident he'll be pushing it around the house in a few weeks promises years of fun! Thanks to the other reviewers, we feel we made a quality choice!

I read reviews of all of the walkers I could find and ended up splurging on this one. Although it was expensive, I am so happy with the purchase. I got this for my son when he was 8 months old and he loved it from day one. At the time, he wasn't walking, but he entertained himself easily with all of the toys attached to the walker. He now uses it to pull himself up and walk all around the house(he is now nine months old and not quite walking on his own). I'm confident that this has helped him walk faster than if he didn't have it. He also still really enjoys playing with the toys attached to the walker. It doesn't tip over (unless he tries to pull himself up on the side rather than the front or back), and he can easily push it around on the carpet or hardwood floors. He has slammed it into walls and furniture and it hasn't left any marks yet. It was definitely worth the extra money, as this might be the highest quality toy my son owns. I couldn't be happier.

An outstanding toy! With all the warnings against baby walkers I wanted to be certain this would cause no developmental delays or safety issues. The HABA Discovery push wagon is ideal because your child can walk or crawl freely while pushing the wagon and is not forced to assume any particular posture that would harm their development. The wagon itself is very sturdy, birch plywood painted with non-toxic dyes, well weighted at 12 lbs. and not prone to tipping. Sometimes my daughter will ride it "chariot style" standing backwards in the seat while being pushed. I realize this is not recommended but we are very careful. At first she could not see over the seat back while pushing and she didn't know where she was going but she soon grew out of this. She was content to push the wagon from behind while crawling. For added interest Haba has adorned the wagon with numerous activities and engaging colors. We noticed a dimming and scratching on the mirror that was actually a piece of clear plastic stuck on to protect the mirror. We pulled it off and the non-glass mirror was nice and shiny. We were considering the Haba Wagon with the blue seat but read the reviews that it left blue marks on the walls. The design of the Haba Discovery wagon is nearly perfect except for the trade off on visibility with the higher seat back. It is a lovely toy, durable, non-toxic and finely crafted.

Very well made! Thank goodness it doesn't play music or teach you a foreign language! My one year old granddaughter pulled right up and walked with no problem, but her favorite thing is to sit in the seat and let brother and sister push her around like a little princess. We tightened the wheels so they were harder to turn at first but she caught on so quickly we loosened them.

I know, it's expensive. But, once you see it, you will understand why. Well, once you see it, and you remind yourself that the people who made it earn a decent living, don't have to worry about health care, and, well, get to focus on the important things in life--like making great toys.

We have had this for over a month, and my daughter is STILL fascinated by it. The colors are beautiful and bright. All of the pieces move, and my daughter loves to play with each and every part. She turns it on its side. She toddles behind it. She puts her toys on the "seat" and then takes them off again. She cuddles the mouse. It keeps her busy like nothing else.

Attached it onto mobile of my 4mo olds swing (fisher price zen)...now when he wakes up instead of crying to be picked up he stares up (the bottom of the toy has black/white contrast) and bats at the rings. He liked his swing for sleeping before, but that was about it. Now I can finish a few things while he entertains himself. I had tried another toy like this and he wasn't interested, as well as a high contrast picture but that only worked to have him look at something as he fell asleepnot for when he woke up. This combines the best of all! Highly recommend!

It is durable, makes a fun hum like sound when you pull the bottom part. She has three lamaze toys she likes them in the following rank order. I hook two on her car seat at all times, I swap the flutterbug out for Princess Sophie. I always leave the Firefly, it is her favorite, she gets upset if it is gone. She stopped crying in the carseat the first day we hung Freddie Firefly in there. Now she holds the rings and plays with him, or falls asleep holding those rings. (Granted if we take a very long car ride she will still cry these got us about 30 minutes of silence/happiness on car trips)

When I first saw this bug, I immediately wanted my daughter to have it. It's wonderful! The petals and wings are crinkly and perfect for grasping and chewing. We attached this to her jumper so that it's easy to grab and it shakes and rattles when our daughter jumps. She loves pulling it toward her and playing with it. If you pull it downward, the string reels it back up and it buzzes. The buzzing sound is perfect and it reminds me of walking through fields when I was a kid and hearing insects buzz as they flew away.

I actually like this toy better than some of the other Lamaze hanging toys. The bottom part of the flower has a black and white pattern on it that instantly captured my 4-month olds attention. When you pull the rings on the flower, it "buzzes" back up to the turtle above. My 4-month old LOVES the buzzing noise and is strong enough to pull it a little bit herself. I think the nice thing about this toy is that my baby can play with the turtle part above while sitting in her Bumbo or carseat, but when laying down can play with the flower part, making it almost like two toys in one.

This toy is okay.. Well made and cute. The handle part is a little big for my almost 3 month old to hold on to. He's about 13 pounds. He likes looking at it if I hold it for him but not his favorite. In fact, I seem to like it more than he does. We also have the panda version. Much the same, a little chunky and hard to hold on to.

I got this for my 16 month old who puts everything in her mouth. She really likes it, and chews on it often. My older daughter also likes wearing it even though she doesn't chew on it. I mostly let the little one wear it around the house or play with it in her car seat. I do not wear it myself, as it does look more like kids "dress up" jewelery rather than a necklace for a mom to wear. I do think it is a bit expensive, but there isn't anything else similar on the market, and it really is nice for little ones who like to chew on everything. Overall I am pleased with it, and it is serving the purpose for which I purchased it.

Green Toys Race Car

Generally, I'm a fan of the items we've gotten from Green Toys, but the race car is an exception. The problem is that the plastic-on-plastic mounting of the wheels keeps them from turning freely. If you push the car, it rolls for maybe a few inches. Also, the hard plastic surface of the wheels mean that often they don't turn at all; they just slide. For the larger, more massive toys (like the dump truck), these things haven't been much of a problem.

We purchased this car for our daughter because my husband was sick of cheap things breaking constantly. The toy is fun and sturdy and my daughter LOVES it! We play with it daily and as any toy used by a 2 year old, put it to the test over and over again and it has not broke yet.

I bought these as christmas gifts for some of my friends kids. I liked the idea of it being a green toy, and it looked nice on the website. When it arrived though, it looked like a cheap plastic car. There was minimal definition/molding, and the edges were a bit rough. I assume the 1-year-olds that I bought this for won't care for the finish and they might still find it fun, but as the person who was giving the gift, I was hoping these were better quality.

Fisher-Price Growing Baby Animal Activity Puzzle

My daughter is now 9 months, and loves to try to put things together. She was really interested in one of my puzzles, so I wanted to get her a very simple puzzle to start her off. This was a great find! The pieces are easy to remove, and take little effort for her to put back (the rare times she is finished playing with the pieces). She also loves that she can pick up the whole board and dump it out for maximum mess making. Each piece has a different attribute (rattle, squeaker, goggly eye, fabric, giggle, and rotating mane), which individually interest her. They also all have been taste tested, and approved (especially the lion). An all around great find!

The only minor complaint is the animal pictures inside the base are stickers not printed on. I haven't had an issue, but some may not like that.

My son is 9.5 months old. My son loved a wood puzzle with a large round handle (or eating it, anyway) at a friend's house, so I wanted to buy him a puzzle of his own. I didn't know what make that particular puzzle was (I now know it was Imaginarium and have since purchased one).

Anyway, at the time I bought this Growing Baby Animal Fisher Price puzzle, I had researched wood puzzles and realized most of the wooden puzzles I could find were made by a CT manufacturer who had been found to have trace amounts of arsenic in their paint used on some of the wooden toys. I'm not sure how old the messages about the arsenic paint that I found online were or how accurate (it is a rather prominent company with toys in every store I go into-so they most likely are safe), but it worried me anyway. So, finding this plastic, Fisher Price puzzle pleased me a bunch! The price was great and it was clearly for little hands. Plus, knowing it came from Fisher Price made me feel good about the puzzle. And, it looked like fun. I bought it right away!

Our experience with this product so far: My son is only minimally interested in this puzzle right now. He takes it, dumps the pieces, maybe chews on a couple, stares at the Googly eye on the fish, and often takes a piece or two and bangs it on some furniture. Then he crawls away. However, he is still young for a puzzle. My son exhibits this same kind of attention span with almost every toy he owns-so I don't blame the puzzle. I really like that it is educational and safe. I am sure there'll be more serious puzzle play (so to speak) once he is closer to 1.

As for the wood puzzle I ended up buying which has 3 pieces: All my son does is take a piece and walk around with the round handle in his mouth like a pacifier. This confirms my theory that he's just too young for a puzzle of any sort. I must admit I feel much better about him putting the Fisher Price puzzle parts in his mouth than the wooden pieces, and since he bangs them on wood floors and furniture, the plastic pieces do no damage whereas the wood ones leave little marks when banged.

So, overall, I'd surely recommend this Fisher Price product as a first puzzle over other alternatives.

For the price, you can't go wrong! Get it.

This puzzle is great for ages 6 months and up... at first they will just use it as a toy. the animals are bright and fun to look at and chew. and there are a couple noises to hold interest, too. then they will learn to start putting them back into the puzzle probably around 12 months, give or take a couple months. we have a number of "first puzzles" but most are wood. I like that this is plastic so there is no worries about the baby trying to mouth the pieces. the only thing I would change is to make at least one of the animals out of softer (ie more rubbery or chewable) material. all of them are hard plastic. that doesn't stop the baby from chewing... but the rubbery type material is a litte more fun to chew.

This puzzle is cute and interesting for little ones because of the activities on the pieces. The lion's spinning mane is especially nice. I do wish the pictures under the pieces weren't stickers, but they seem to be holding up so far. I'm glad I got this.

CHOKING HAZARD! The toy tore apart and stuffing came out. My son only has two teeth and played with the toy on his high-chair tray 2 times before I noticed the face of one of the stems tearing off with stuffing exposed. This product should be recalled.

I did not have any trouble with this toy coming apart. It was well made, and the only suction toy that really stayed stuck to the tray. My Grandson loved batting at the ribbons and toys.

Levels Of Discovery Prince Rocking Horse Dark Blue

This is a very cute and durable toy! At first i was a little scared when it came in the mail and i realized i had to assemble it.. i am not good with directions. I bought this rattle for my 5 month old son and he loves it. He seems fascinated with the small rings that slide back and forth and he also loves to chew on it. My only complaint is that the paint runs when you wash it, but I am not sure you are even supposed to wash it ?

I'm a huge fan of Lamaze toys because they offer great sensory stimulation. They are safe, colorful, textured and make great sounds. They're also very cute! My baby girl has been enjoying this fish since she was 3 months old. She is now 10 months and always makes "fish sounds" with her mouth when she wants to hold her fish. We have a few of them that we've hung on her stroller and car seat. I like its size, because you can toss it into your purse or diaper bag without adding bulk or weight...and of course, it just makes her so happy.

The only negative experience I've had has been when I purchased from "Buy 4 Less UK". Do not buy from them, even if the price is less than the regular price. I ordered 3 more fish and they sent only 1. When I contacted them, they said they would send the 2 missing ones. Nothing came. I contacted them again, and they asked if I wanted to cancel my order (I'm thinking now I should have). I told them I wanted my missing 2 fish. They sent me 1. I bought this pool for our baby to use at the beach. It is the perfect size to fill up easily with about 10 buckets of ocean water and add in some toys. Also perfect for getting the sand out of her swim diaper! We love this product's functionality.

Before you get the idea that you're are buying a grande deluxe baby pool, keep in mind that you are paying less than $6 for a fully functional baby + water holder. It is both praise and warning that you get what you pay for.

We bought this for our baby at the beach because she was too small for the rough waves of the Outer banks at the tender age of 13 months. However, we could still sit within ten feet of the tides with her by our side in the shade while she played with her toys and the sand. $6 is a real steal for having this kind of babysitter while you're on vacation.

The other reviws are right in saying that it is not terribly durable but it more than gets the job done. Highly recommended.

LITTLE SUZY'S ZOO Plush Crib MUSICAL MOBILE

I'm the mom of a 7 month old girl. I got this mobile, along with the rest of the Suzy's Zoo line of nursery decor, for my shower. Since I didn't know if I was having a boy or a girl, the cute little animals and neutral colors seemed ideal. Well, the room looks adorable, painted in the color of Boof the Bear's stomach and hand/feet pads. HOWEVER, because I chose to go with this theme, no other mobile seemed to look right in the room. Why am I giving you this whole story? The mobile, which was attached to the crib rail, SNAPPED AND FELL into the crib (narrowly missing the baby's head, I might add) when my daughter was 6 months old. I didn't even have her in the crib until she was 3 months, and I don't use the mobile for music AT ALL because I have another product attached to the crib with longer lasting, more consistently tempoed music. So why did it break? I BARELY brushed the arm with the baby's blanket. I have seen similar reviews about these mobiles on this website (same maker, different theme) but didn't believe (didn't want to!) that a light touch would break a properly installed mobile. Well, folks, it happened to me too! For over a month I have been trying to get the company, Dolly, to respond to my inquiries regarding obtaining a new attachment arm or a refund. They don't even bother to respond. Well, as a consumer, I guess I'll say that the loudest voice is the one that vibrates the wallet...so if you are looking for a cute product, buy this mobile; if you want cute and safe, look elsewhere!

Little Suzy's Zoo Music Mobile was a baby shower gift for my twins. It's cute, but that's about it. If you are looking for a long duration of a lullaby this is not the mobile to get. The lullaby is about two minutes long, which is not long enough to settle my set down. I had to get up and rewind it more often than I care to. After doing that for a couple of weeks I had to pull out one of my old mobiles that has survive three other children.

Our 3 month old just loves her Little Suzy's Zoo mobile!! Around 8-9 weeks of age she started smiling and laughing at "her friends" as they "danced" for her. This costume is absolutely adorable, except it is made of fabric that is itchy on the inside, and it is not lined. On very cold Halloween nights it may be OK, as it is really thick, and you'd have to put it on with an extra layer of clothing on underneath since it's so itchy. My son looked just precious, but didn't last longer than 10 minutes in it, and he fussed and cried the whole time (he's NOT a fussy child in general). Oh well...

The quality of this costume is so bad that I couldn't even put it on my child. He started having a fit as soon as his skin got in contact with it. What a waste of money. It really is horrible.

This costume worked out great for Halloween! My baby was only 10 months when he wore it and the only size I could find for this costume was 12-18 months but I just rolled the sleeves and legs in a bit and it fit him fine. It was very warm and soft and he seemed comfortable after getting over the initial annoyance of having an Eeyore face on top of his head! He crawled around a little too while wearing it and went about his normal baby activities. It's definitely a great outfit if you're going to be outside in chilly weather but my baby did get warm when wearing it inside for awhile so we ended up taking it off of him once we were in for the night. It made for some very cute pictures on baby's first Halloween!

Baby Gund My First Sports Bag

While I agree this is super-cute, the truth is that it is about 1/3 to 1/4 the size I expected. I thought the balls would be the size of, say, a grapefruit, but they are actually not a lot bigger than a ping-pong ball. I am not sure where the product dimensions come in, because I don't think the bag is anything near a foot long. Had I seen it in a store, I would not have bought it, as I think the balls are too small.

pay attention to the dimensions. I imagined each toy to be 4-5 inches in diameter. Its much smaller. Good for an infant tho.

My son loves to take the balls in and out of the sport bag they come with. He loves playing with them, and each of the sports balls are very realistic. An added great feature is that each of them has a different sound to it. We love to play catch with them. A simple toy, well worth the money.

Really cute, very portable "plush" sports bag w. various balls...and the best part is it's NOT Electronic!! Each ball makes some sort of jingle or crinkle or "boing" sound...but they're great for baby to just handle or chew!

Tolo Toys Baby Driver

I bought this for my 14 month old son who loves to pretend he is driving. This toy seems way too babyish for him. The suction cup on the bottom loses grip 5 seconds after being secured. It has made it to the bottom of the toy box already. Get something else!

A thoughtful gift from grandma for my one year old son, who enjoys playing with wheels. It has a great presentation while it is in the packaging, but I was a little disappointed once we took out to play with it. The horn is a little tricky to honk, and you have to press it at just the right angle to make it sound. The gear shift moves up and down and the wheel turns and that's about it as far as features. Good for practicing hand coordination I guess, but my son did not seem to find it very entertaining...

i bought it because my son loves sitting in the driver's seat when the car is parked.

we attacked it in the bath tub wall and now he cant wait to till bath time. he gets so excited he dances when we say 'bath time'

he stays in the bath tub for nearly half an hour playing with the toy, making noises with his lips, honking... etc
