Sweet Spring Melody Mobile

This is an amazing mobile for its price! It came extremely quickly and was sent directly to my front door! The only thing that can be improved is that the music and motion time could be a bit longer, I sometimes feel like I have to continue going in and winding it up. Just wish it was a bit longer.

We LOVE Jungle Junction and had to get this....but the second my son held it by the eyes the popped right off. I think it's made that way which in my opinion is a design flaw....why would you want to remove his eyes? Everything else seems OK...

Our boy loves everthing Jungle Junction, so this was a no brainer to buy. Its kinda small and expensive but he loves it when he takes a bath. So a happy baby makes happy parents.

I thought this would splash in the water or at least make some noise as it motored around the pool, but it's a dud. It just floats and kind of wobbles around. Didn't hold my 2 year old nephew's attention, and he LOVES Jungle Junction.

I bought this for my daughter, who had a birthday ball for her 4th birthday party (a fancy title for a typical birthday party). Her favorite princess is Belle, and she loved it. It fits really well, is floor length on her so there is a little growing room. She is about 40 inches tall and 35 lbs. She can put in on by herself as the bodice is stretchy and there are no buttons or zippers. She has worn it a lot in the last month and it has held up despite being worn for hours in a moon bounce. From all of the other "Belle" dresses I researched, this one seemed to have the most value for the price. We have not been disappointed.

Did I get the same dress that is pictured on the website? The dress is pretty, but you should realize they make it look as good as possible in the picture. Actual dress is not as pale yellow. It is a bright yellow, not gold like Belle's actual dress, but yellow. The skirt is not full like it is in the picture. The whole thing can fit easily in an 8x10 mailing envelope. Don't get me wrong, the dress is pretty and my daughter will love it, but it does seem very cheap for the price. The price should be closer to $20 for what you get.

A very much loved aspect of this dress up dress. I can throw it in the wash and hang it to dry afterwords and it's good to go again.

Only a 4 star rating as I'm still quite baffled at how my daughter was so easily able to fiddle with the roses on the belt line and they came off, re sewed them on for no problems, but she absolutely adores the dress.

My one-year old granddaughter was using balls like cars saying zoom, so I went to buy a car or truck for her. Not easy! Most say not for under 3 years due to small parts, and of course, were made of hard metal. I was thrilled to find this big, soft truck with large wheels, but not as thrilled as she was to receive it! She clapped her hands with glee, and played with it right away! She loved that it makes zoom zoom sounds when you press the licence plate at the front of the truck! It also makes beep beep sounds and siren sounds, too. Mommy liked that it doesn't play silly songs! I am now going to buy a second one for my grandson 10 months old as it was a "cousin tested and approved" toy!

We bought this for our son when he was about 7 months old. He was teething really badly, and he really gnawed on the rubbery top of the truck. Yet it didn't puncture. He wasn't an experienced crawler, but he liked to sit with it and spin the wheels. Now that he crawls all over the place, he pushes the truck with one hand, taking it along with him.

(As a footnote, I appreciate the fact that the sounds the truck makes aren't very annoying, as some toys can be.)

My almost 14 month old LOVES this truck!!! Its so soft so he can't get hurt from it and he loves to flip it upside down and play with the wheels. He also gets very excited from the revving of the engine and the sirens it has. (they're also at a great sound level so they don't scare him which is a huge plus!) It's his favorite toy right now.

This is a great stuffed animal. My daughter received all four of them as birthday gifts from her grandparents. She loves them. But, they all have rattles somewhere inside of them. I suppose that I am kind of old fashioned. I like stuffed animals because they do not make noise. Alas, all of these do. If I had been aware of this, I would have suggested different versions of the Pooh characters.

I wish the filling was also organic but I love that this Pooh is organic and washable. Pooh goes everywhere with us, eats with us, etc. so it's great to be able to through him in the washing machine.

I bought this at a store for my 2.5 year old daughter, just days after seeing the movie for the first time. She noticed it, and yelled "Pooh Bear"! I could not resist. I felt like it was very familiar looking, the packaging. I immediately looked for the brand and was happy to see that it was by Miyim. I bought my 7 month old son several toys by this brand. Yes, I know the brand is from China and their products are made there. But what isn't these days? Anyways, this brand is the only one I support from China, because there material is organic, and it is near impossible to find organic in a stuff toy that my daughter would enjoy. She has not let go of it since we bought it for her two days ago. It has such a sweet old world, faded vintage look to the colors. She will have it forever. It is a timeless plush toy and I am so glad that we got it for her. As she grows more into the film and the characters I intend on getting her all of the characters. Love it!

My 4-year-old son has a Miyim bear that he loves. He's into Pooh now, the chapter books. Thought he'd enjoy the Pooh and Tigger, but the bell inside the toys is not only annoying, but makes the toy very babyish--though I don't know any baby that could nap listening to it. Why, Miyim, why wreck an otherwise great toy? Not sure if I'm going to do surgery and cut the bells out (though I can feel they are quite large) or return them. Yes, there is a "rattle", but it is not loud or annoying. It is more of a light tinkling. I love that it's organic since my son sucks the ears. This is his lovey in his crib and when I put him down for his naps or at night he immediately rolls to his side and hugs his Pooh! It's light enough for a baby to maneuver but solid enought that I'm not worried about leaving it in his crib while he's sleeping. Plus the tinkling is nice to hear over the monitor to let me know he's awake!

My First 1.2.3 Knight's Castle

We gave this to our nephew and from what we have heard, he LOVES it!! Its good that there is something else than a house or a zoo.

This is a super cute set! The pieces are not easy for my 21 month old to put together, so I assemble and he plays. The little knight figures are the perfect size for his toddler hands to carry around. We own lots of Playmobil sets and they are quite durable and will last a long time.

Baby Einstein Roller Pillar Activity Balls

I contacted the manufacturer of this toy to see what chemicals are used in the plastic, they are really good at trying to get around the question but after a few emails they admitted they are made of PVC with phthalates. They are toxic chemicals that you should not let your child play with! I'm returning ours.

When purchasing this product, keep in mind that you're buying a set of balls. They are round, they roll, they have little trinkets inside that move in fun ways spinning, clunking around, shifting, etc.

They are not an overly interactive toy, other than the part where they are balls and they roll. If you're looking for something with the potential for major interaction and advanced play, do not buy a set of balls.

The above is mostly in response to the reviews that seem to be implying the toys are not as advertised. I'm afraid that, well, they're balls. They do what balls do.

The face lights up and has ears my 9 month old absolutely loves this one and has learned to bang it against things (loudly!) to get it to turn on. He also has quite a bit of fun chasing the others around as they roll off in different directions.They're great for grasping they do indeed fit perfectly into little hands, and my little one seems to really enjoy how easily he can pass them from hand to hand. The textured color part on them is also nice for sensory input, and the colors are bright.

So! If you want a set of balls, buy these. They're quite nice for what they are. :)

This has got to be the worse purchase I made for my baby. I went out of my way to find it and buy based on the product features:

Feature 1:

"Balls are perfect for little hands and encourage your baby to touch, explore, and discover lots of fun"

I agree they are sized just right for my baby's little hands to grasp. Apart from that, there is nothing else productive with it. There is nothing to touch except a bunch of cheap feeling plastic balls. You know those plastic balls that come out of the $0.25 vending machine at the entrance of toy stores? This feels and looks exactly like that. I expected a higher quality feel with a multi-texture experience. Disappointing. Each ball has tiny indents and ridges on two sides so it feels a little bit different than each other. But you'll need to be extremely sensitive to even care.

Feature 2:

"5 unique activity balls feature: light, rattle, chime, real-life imagery and multiple textures

You have four round balls that have different objects inside that make noise. All I hear are rattles. I don't hear any of the ball that chimes. Maybe they changed the object inside the ball.

Then a fifth yellow ball with a smiley face with cheeks that light up when bumped and doesn't roll. My baby just bites on the plastic ears and one that I don't mix with the others for fear that he may fall on the protruding ear and poke himself.

The multiple textures in all the four balls are just ridges and indents on the coloured portions of the balls that are too negligible for my baby to even care.

I don't get the "real-life imagery" portion as there is one photo of a dog in one of the balls. On the opposite side of the photo of the same ball is a cartoon image of a puppy. In the other balls is a plastic cut out that's shaped like a planet with a ring with little balls inside, then another ball has a plastic spiral cut out again with the same little balls inside, then a cartoon bird in the next ball, with the last ball being a smiley face. Real life imagery? If you live in Toontown.

Feature 3:

"Encourages: multi-sensory experience, fine motor skill development and crawling"

I disagree on the multi-sensory experience as stated above. I do agree on using it to encourage fine motor skill development and crawling. But then again any baby safe object you buy you can make him learn to grasp. Or place the object far away from him so he can try and reach out for it until he learns to crawl. That's how I taught my baby to crawl and grasp even before this epic fail purchase.

I would recommend just investing in a more expensive toy that includes balls and teaches CAUSE AND EFFECT so your baby will have loads of fun and learning activity than plastic balls that have no lasting play factor than a few minutes when he moves on to other objects in the playpen.

As another reviewer has pointed out, these are balls. They roll. Some of them rattle and one of them lights up, they are not incredibly interactive toys and when I was given these as a gift I was ready to give them away thinking they were pretty useless. When I was having difficulty getting my baby to spend any time on his tummy, these came in incredibly handy. I would lie down on my tummy, facing my baby and roll these back and forth to him. They captured his interest enough to increase tummy-time from one minute to five and more, and now he's fine on his tummy. He now picks these balls up and because some of them rattle, has learned to shake them to see if they make a noise. He also bangs the light-up ball with ears to make it glow. Not only is he learning fine motor skills but cause and effect. So for a very basic toy for newborns through to 6 months or more, I think these are a great purchase my now 6 month old picks these up every time they are put in front of him. As for worrying about them being toxic, they don't spend nearly enough time in his mouth for them to be a serious concern. Frankly, I think the pollution in the air we breathe every day is more hazardous to his health and there's not much I can do about that.

I really wish the real baby carriers were this easy to put on and take off. I had bought another brand for my 2 year old bit it was difficult for her to put it on and take it off by herself. As most toddlers she wants to be independent. This one is vet simple because it just velcros around her neck. My daughter is tall for her age but it still was a bit long so I just added an additional piece of Velcro to shorten the strap. She can still slip it over her head. She loves bringing her baby places and it is much easier for me to throw this and the doll in my purse than trying to carry her and her doll stroller when in a mall. It is well made and goes through wash well. She has the Corelle tadoo doll and the doll does tip over a bit so I will probably get the Velcro back out and add a harness. No problem since I know eventually she will have the bigger dolls that will fit perfectly.

I gave this to my grandaughter for christmas. She loved it. She could carry her American Girl doll in it.

Lifefactory Multi Sensory Silicone Teether

After trying a whole range of teething toys, from Trix Clutching toy to Sassy Water filled Teethers Developmental Toy to an older version of Munchkin Teether Babies Monkey to an older version of Manhattan Toy Color Burst Winkel in a Box, with most being something like Bright Starts Chill and Teethe, Pretty in Pink or Chilly Dilly Daisy Teether, I got fed up with the fact that none of them (except occasionally the Sassy butterflies) kept baby happy for long, probably because none of them gives a really good purchase for gnawing, the way my rubbery teething beads did when I was a kid. The harder plastics used now just aren't chewy enough. After catching the 2-year-old gnawing on a silicone hot pad multiple times, the light bulb went on and I found this teether on Amazon. The reviews saying lint sticks to it told me I'd finally found a REAL teether. (I was not keen to buy the expensive latex giraffe that's all the rage now.)

The 2-year-old loves the Lifefactory teether. It gets chomped from all sorts of angles, twisted up or left in its circle, and, living on the toddler bed most of the time, does not collect lint. It can fit in the back of the mouth for those painful back molars, a feature missing in most teethers. It fits over my wrist fine, but it doesn't stay there because the little one has strong ideas about whose property it is. The grippy silicone is great for chewing. The yellow is very cheerful. If teething is bad enough that we need to use it away from home, some links like this type Bright Starts Lots of Links will easily keep it attached to a stroller.

We haven't tried refrigerating it, but I don't expect it would keep a chill terribly well. The only downside is that our kid occasionally uses it as a bracelet, gets it stuck above the elbow, and has to have help removing it. Extra bonus is that it's made in USA!

I wanted to buy a teether that was Made in the USA and came upon this item. Beyond feeling wonderful about my baby chewing and mouthing an item that I know is safely made here in America, it is a wonderful teether. It is softer than most teething rings and my baby seems to love the different textures around the ring. This by far the best teething ring I have ever had for my children!

Good enough teether but nothing special, although nothing has really stood out so it's as good as most. It definitely doesn't chill at all and their claims about wearing it as a bangle are better in description than practice. We found the silicone so sticky that it gets covered with lint quickly. These rolling giggle toys are great for little kids. I got this for a friend's little one and she was thrilled. The puppy is very cute. When you roll it it makes noise and the ears are a crinkly fabric to entertain kids with a different sound and texture. It even clips onto strollers or cribs to entertain kids when you're out and about!

I had this toy for my older son but when I pulled it out of storage for the new baby, it no longer giggled. I was happy to find it on amazon for $4.xx but thrilled when we received it a day after ordering and there were both the dog and the chick included for that price! This is a great toy. It's well made and durable. The whole thing is plastic. The top and bottom is a flexible plastic that makes a great drum sound. It's the same on the top and bottom if its flipped over. The sticks are attached by rope that is long enough to play the drum with but short enough that it can't get tangled around the child's neck.

My son loves toys that make music. Its educational, entertaining and takes nothing but an imagination to use.

Highly recommend.

This is a well made toy; not very exciting but durable. My toddler grandkids, ages 1 & 3, get some enjoyment out of beating it but they both seem to prefer something that lights up. I love the thought of my son falling in love with music and he has but their is a few things about this I didn't like. I doesn't sound like a drum! The drum sticks are attached to the drum for safety reasons which I understand but it is hard to play with them because they are attached too close. The top of the drum is a thick hard plastic which does not sound good at all. This Christmas I bought the B. barum pa pum pum drum and other instruments. I love it! I suggest going with a different drum!

My name is Shelby and this is my video review of my 5-month-old son playing with Sophie the Giraffe. We love Sophie. She is very well-made and I hope seeing Sophie in action will be helpful to others. Also, I think I repeat myself a little in the video--sorry about that!

*****UPDATE 3 AND 1/2 YEARS LATER*****

Little Theo in the video is turning 4 at the end of this month and I wanted to comment on what a long and useful life his Sophie had. She endured years of some very hard chewing and never cracked, tore, or got any holes. She got a little dirty and lost some paint, but other than that she was still going strong when Theo finally outgrew her. Her long legs turned out to be perfect for those 2 year molars as well, since they reached all the way back. I ended up throwing her away since it seemed like a really gross hand-me-down, but she was structurally in as good a condition as the day we bought her.

Now we're on baby #2 and Sophie #2. Our daughter had six teeth (four on top, two bottom) when we adopted her at 16 months old and she took to Sophie right away. If you're wondering if Sophie is a good teether for an older infant or a child who already has some teeth and a strong jaw, I give that a wholehearted "Yes!" As long as there are still teeth coming in, Sophie is fantastic.

Please be aware that no young child should be left unattended with any toy including Sophie. Because of her size and shape, she is easy to remove from a child's mouth should something go wrong. As I said, our Sophie lasted over 3 years without any cracking or splitting.

We STILL love Sophie, even after all of these years. Happy teething!

My 5 month old daughter LOVES her Sophie the Giraffe toy! This toy is absolutely wonderful in every way. Sophie is made of soft rubber and makes a pleasant-sounding squeak whenever any part of her body is squeezed, so even a young baby can elicit a reaction from the toy with minimal effort.

I don't know what it is about Sophie, but whenever my daughter plays with her, she gets very vocal and talkative.

I saw another review which referred to this toy as "a glorified dog toy". That reviewer is mistaken, and simply doesn't realize the value of this toy.

Sophie's body, while soft, has several areas of thicker rubber (the nubs on her head, her ears, and her feet) which are perfect for teething babies to gnaw on for relief.

Sophie's contrasting colors (spots) are visually stimulating to a baby.

She is easy to grip given her long, thin neck.

This toy is made of 100% natural rubber and uses food-grade paint (SAFE!).

This is a quality baby toy which will last for many years.

I would much rather pay $20 for a safe, engaging toy for my baby, than pay $5 for some piece of junk with lead paint.

We just got this for our infant, and I couldn't help but give it a bit of a test chew, myself. Now, I obviously don't have a huge deal of experience (or, memory, rather) with teething toys, but this is good stuff. Very satisfying to bite on. I'm thinking of getting a second one for myself to use in the office to deal with stress. Much better than my kid's silicone pacifier, which I've also tried.

My only complaint is that the giraffe appears to have fluorescent lip stick, which is a bit disconcerting to see in a giraffe, even a French one.

Beware! This is a fake! I would have never noticed if I didn't hold it up beside a real one. They are totally different. I figured this out because the paint began to peel off immediately and my cousin told me she had the same problem with one she got off of amazon. She went to a store and bought a replacement that will not peel. When we compared the two, the colors of the giraffe are different, the spots are different, and even the shape and legs are different. We've had Sophie for a little while, and until 3 days ago, I often recommended it to others. I am still a bit traumatized over what happened (and could have happened), and would definitely NOT recommend it unless a baby is secure and unable to roll over with it. I would also strongly caution anyone who owns this toy to PLEASE be careful and supervise your child at all times! I am extremely careful about my children's toys (choking hazards don't stay in the house!), yet the possibility of this hazard didn't even occur to me until it happened. Hopefully, sharing my experience will prevent a tragedy for another family.

My teething baby was chewing on Sophie and rolled onto his tummy (he is not yet able to roll from tummy to back consistently). When he rolled, Sophie's long leg jammed into his throat. Since he was on top of it and couldn't roll back, he could not get it out. I was right there and didn't even realize what was happening until he made a muffled crying sound. When I picked him up, he was already turning purple and immediately vomited and started screaming. Just another minute or two and the situation could have turned tragic. So far, neither the US distributor nor the manufacturer has responded to my attempts to contact them, but I'm hopeful they will respond and implement a design change (shorter legs?) to eliminate the possibility of this happening.

I am a big Jellycat fan. This bunny didn't meet my expectations. It is pretty small. Nine inches from the top of ears to the tips of the toes. The face is also flat. The quality is great, the fur is soft, and it is actually pretty cute. Just a lot smaller than I expected.

We bought this for our little three year old grandson's birthday becuase it looked so cute in the photo. Imagine how happy we were to see it in person and find that it is even more adorable and engaging than it looks. Incredible quality for a stuffed toy that is also a learn to dress toy. And the best part, it is a fireman bear and our little grandson loves it. Cannot say enough good about it. The quality is infinitely better, more sturdy and durable, and cuter than other toys of this type we have purchased for our other kids. That is saying alot as we have been purchasing childrens toys since 1978 and have a big family! Easily worth double the cost of similar toys. The Gund name at its best.

I purchased this bear for my grand daughter as a learning tool for dressing herself. The tie doesn't untie, the buckle is cheap rings, and the zipper doesn't totally unhook so that she can not learn how to connect and then zip. No snaps... no real buckle, useless tie. and the button will be difficult because it is larger than the hole. Do not waste your money look for something that is better quality. I trusted the Gund name... big mistake!

I purchased this for my 4 year old last Christmas and he still plays with it. The outfit closures were great in teaching him how to button, buckle and zip. The bear has been washed several times and has stood up to lots of hard play. Very, very pleased with the quality of it!

I gave this as a baby shower gift to some friends of mine who are both fire fighters. I was very pleased with the quality of the bear, but expect nothing less from a Gund bear. The bear will allow the child to practice tying laces, buttoning, buckling, velcro closures, and zippers but until she is old enough to do all of that, she can just have a teddy bear to love.

Small World Toys IQ Baby Busy Bee Baby Buzzer

My wife and I bought this toy because it has lights music and a buzzer. At first it is lots of fun for baby. Here's the huge safety concern that we have about it's use for any child. The toy may start acting funny and then you will find that if the toy is put to mouth and chewed on. You are soon to learn that the slobber can get inside the toy and it will short out. Now think of it this way what goes in will come out. If the child sucks on it the slobber could have stuff in it not only from the batteries but all of the internal circuit board solder and who knows what else. This to us is toxic to a child of any age even more so if it is a baby. THIS TOY SHOULD BE RECALLED ASAP FOR THIS RESONE. A Child's health is not worth the risk.

The Nave Family.

A friend gave us this toy for our baby girl. We are fortunate that she does not cry very often, but when she is upset NOTHING will soothe her except this bee! It is almost a drug we dig it out of the depths of the diaper bag (reserved for necessary use only!) and hold it up to her and she stares and calms! She just loves to look at the bee. She also likes the music, lights and buzzing, but just looking is fine! We love this bee!

We joke that we need to order 10 to have stashed around the house and in the car...

Highly recommend this teether! Green Sprouts is a great company that makes chemical free toys! I bought this early for my 4 month old son even before he was teething and it is one of his favorites! It doesn't stay cool for very long, but is nice and refreshing initially. It is comforting to know he's not sucking on BPA and other harmful things that can leak through most other teethers. I bought this because it was water-filled and green-sprouts/i-play's website said their products are designed in the USA. Designed does NOT equal made though. The product was made in China. It's so hard to find teethers not made in China. I might be returning this.
