They have little rattles in them and fit perfect. My daughter has big feet for her age and these fit great! Super soft, and easy to wash! Great find!Wednesday, May 28, 2014
The First Years Star Teething Blanket
The blanket has a dark blue textured rubber corner..
There is a red corduroy corner which squeaks when pressed.
The corner with zebra pattern crinkles.
The other two corner has a silky-satin feel. Among these the corner with multicolor has a slit and comes with a link to hang the blanket onto something. I used to attach the blanket to my baby's bouncer seat before but now that she is older she can find it on her own.
The center green star part also crinkles.
It is a good addition to her toys. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is supposed to be a teething blanket but my baby did not find comfort biting on any of the corners while teething. If you are looking for something just for teething, my recommendation would be to try 'vullie sophie the giraffe'. I came to know of it after wasting a lot of money on teethers and that is by far the best. However, if you would like something to teach your baby different textures and have fun with bright colors, this is the blanket for you.
Hope this helps :)

My 6 month old son loves this toy! I leave it in the car so that he has something to do in the carseat. One of its best aspects is that if he drops it (and what baby won't?) it just lands in his lap so he can pick it up again. Most other toys would end up on the floor of the car. He also loves the crinkly center and the teething edges.Read Best Reviews of The First Years Star Teething Blanket Here
This is seriously the best blankey toy ever! The crinkle sound is the bee's knees! I have a daycare and it is the most popular toys for my 6 mo old and 5 mo old!!! They love it! It does need to be washed in a pillow case though, according to directions on tag, but I have washed in right in my machine without a case and it's been fine. can be fluffed in dryer on low at the end of a load of laundry.I have not had problems with pilling or the squeaker. It spot washes super easily and hand washes just as easily. Have fun!!Want The First Years Star Teething Blanket Discount?
My son is now almost 10 months and doesn't play with this toy as much, but when he was 4 months, this was his #1! It is about the size of a washcloth, so don't be mistaken that it's a blanket, it is just cloth material so that's why it's called that. He loved all of the colors & noises it makes! His favorite was the dark blue rubber corner of the star he is always chewing on everything (he had 2 teeth at 3 months) so this toy was perfect. This toy was always perfect for playing peek-a-boo also! The zebra corner crinkles, and that always seemed to catch his attention. The one negative: The red corner is a squeaker. I've had to wash this toy numerous times (due to him spitting up on it, or just getting gross from him sucking on it) and after about the 3rd time, the squeaker stopped working. It's not a huge deal, consitering when my son learned how to squeak it, the dog went nuts :) Overall, it's a great toy, and will definitely be passed on to our next child! Highly recommend!

VTech - Nursery Rhyme Rockin' Cube
It is not as big as it looks. It is very much portable. I gave it only four starts because it would have been nicer if it had more of the rhymes instead of just one line of each rhyme.my son isn't old enough to play with this himself yet, but he loves to watch it move & sing. It is great how each side of the block has a different nursery rhyme song & exposes the child to different skills (turn, pull, push, lift). I love this and so does my son. it's great too because it lights up & all babies love lights!

My 6 months old had fun with this toy for the first two to three weeks. Once the batteries start to weaken, the "noise" of the motor tends to exceed the music which makes it annoying to the child as well as parents. It was dead in three weeks and the fault was not with the batteries. I should mention that we bought a lot of Vtech toys and this was the only one that disappointed us. Not recommended.Read Best Reviews of VTech - Nursery Rhyme Rockin' Cube Here
I got this toy because it was on clearance, but it was a waste. It did entertain my son, but it is pretty annoying. We ended up packing it away because we didn't like listening to it. It doesn't really do anything except play music. The "rocking" feature is really dumb. This toy is just OK. I love the colors and the soft sides are great. It's weird how it only sings the first verse of two songs (unless you pull on the clock or press the sheep to play their song) There really isnt much to it, but my 7 month old son does enjoy it. Maybe the point is that babies dont have the attention span for more than a verse at a time. Its annoying for adults, but great for babies!Thursday, April 10, 2014
Gund Huggybuddy- 18 inch
So, I found and read the reviews on about seven such "buddies." The Gund was certainly an excellent choice very soft, with one silky side and one plush side, and machine washable. The head size was a bit of a surprise, being larger than I'd imaged, but that's really no problem.
Be sure to get two one for normal use and one emergency "back-up" in case of loss or washing machne time, as children can get very attached to these little friends. Attachment to a small "buddy" however, is so much better than attachment to a large "security blanket" like we saw in the "old days."I LOVE Huggybuddy Lamb. I bought one for my daughter when she was 6 months old and now she is 8 months old and sleeps with it every night. Every time she's sleepy she'll burry her head in it's soft head. Extremely soft and it's silky body is perfect for her to grip at night. I would definitely recommend a huggybuddy!

This is the most precious lovey. Most are really small and not super soft. This is so soft. The head is bigger than I expected but it is actually good as my son has gotten older.Read Best Reviews of Gund Huggybuddy- 18 inch Here
"Lambie" meet someone who is thinking about taking you home. They are contemplating letting a child love you deeply just as Livi loves you.Seriously...I have 3 daughters and unfortunately found the huggybuddies after the first. So my younger 2 daughters each have 2; however, the don't know they have two. I rotate them in the wash so that they wear evenly in case we ever have a true emergency of loosing Lambie or Piggy.
I originally stumbled upon huggybuddies after having a terrible experience with a similar type lovey from another brand. The bow was sucked off by my 6th month old and she could have choked to death on it. I liked these because they are well made without parts to come off (bows) or come out (rattles). I sew, so I know good quality when I see it. We love love love our huggybuddies!!!My daughter loves this. It's her constant companion at night time. It's such a critical element that I had to order a 2nd one to have as a backup.

Baby MovesTM Shaker Weights by Discovery Toys
The problem was that we got them as a gift upon the birth of our first child. That is WAY too early for this toy. They're too long to hang from a cradle or car seat handle (babies don't like being hit in the face as they're carried, even with soft things). We took them out again when he was about 3-5 months old and just starting to sit in an exersaucer and play with both hands. Again, that was too early, because these are not small toys.
The right time to introduce these toys is when you have a free-sitting, (preferably) crawling baby. They'll be big enough that the baby wants to pick them up (babies love to pick big things up), but they're soft and light, so if they tip over onto them, there's no injury. The middle section is small enough to be grabbed easily. The rings on the handle clink together and each "weight" has a rattle inside. The bright, primary colors make for great teachable moments, as do the sun, star, moon, and mirror on the ends.
We made these available to our second child just as he started to crawl and he loves them. He usually doesn't play with them for long each time, unless someone's with him, talking about what he's seeing and doing, but he goes back to them over and over. He's now eight months old and still goes to them a couple of times a day.
I've noticed that toys like this are more interesting to babies if you take them out of the toy rotation for a few days or a week and then reintroduce them. It's like a whole new toy every time because your baby's a whole new baby. If you have a toy rotation, then you have less clutter on the floor and fewer choices to overwhelm the baby. It's also easier to see which toys really aren't interesting (instead of having the baby skip some toys just because there's so much going on visually that they get missed).
The only drawback that I've found is that my crawler would love to chew on them, but the edges are too thick to comfortably chew. But he has plenty of teethers and he has to learn sometime that not every toy is for chewing.
Bottom line: Once your baby is sitting solidly, almost crawling, introduce this toy.

Learning Hoops
The toy will last you a long time though, I keep it in view in a corner of the living room. It is great for playdates and really does help with coordination it is the first thing the child grasps how to get the ball in the hoop. I think they did a great job in choosing the height of this toy, it's not imposing. As a parent I'm grateful it does not attack my child with overly stimulating loud, brash music and keeps it simple and direct. It will shut itself off pretty quickly ("Thanks for learning with LeapFrog bye bye!") but I think of that as more of a plus than a minus.
It is one of those toys that grows on your child and now my son is 28 months and was sitting in front of it today, pushing the knob inside the basket to get the toy to say the alphabet and he was repeating each letter afterwards.
I have become very impressed with the Leapfrog line of toys (I have not purchased the books though) and along with this toy I would highly, highly recommend the Leapfrog Learning Table (a 5 in my book). When my son got to be just under eight months this he learned how to put the ball thru the hoop and, of course, he loved the sounds it makes. Soon after, he realized that he could make the sound while still keeping the ball in his hand in the hoop. He absolutely loves this toy he plays with it for hours each day. In fact, he seldom goes anywhere without the little ball in his hand. He is ten months now and plays with a much bigger basketball too, but he never gets tired of playing with this toy. I have been reading about some kids pulling off the net well, I just wnet over to the hoop and tried to pull it off myself and I could not. Either they have assembled it incorrectly or I have a super-sturdy model. I can't think of anything bad about this toy except that my son will probably outgrow it before he learns how to spell. My one year old son loves it!! He loves to hear the letters and numbers when he places the ball in the hoop. What a great product. His three yr. old sis even joins in on the fun when they play with it. A must have for all sports fans!!!!The hoop on this toy easily pops off. My child actually had to go to the emergency room because of this toy. She was playing with it as it was intended. The hoop came off which made her lose her balance. She then fell and hit her eye on the hoop. She ended up with a NASTY gash in the crease of her eyelid! If she would have hit any lower she could have actually damaged her eye ball! I sent a letter and received no response. Please do not buy this toy! This toy is TERRIBLE! We recieved it as a gift last night for our 10-month old son. He tried to peer down through the hoop, which broke off and he fell flat on his face HARD. We called Leap Frog to let them know, and they told us it had been discontinued for this very reason, and that if we sent it in, they would send us the new, improved version....

Fisher-Price Sesame Street Silly Sounds Remote
Looks close enough to the real thing that your baby shouldn't be too disappointed when you swap your real remote with this one.
My daughter loves how the blue eyelids close.
All the buttons makes SEVERAL sounds the volume buttons on it actually do turn it up and turn it down in volume!
Her favorite button to push is the number 6 because it plays cute music.
Teaches numbers.
I always bring this with when we travel in the car or shopping at the mall. Small enough to fit in your purse, but big enough to occupy their time for a while!
VERY durable I can't count the number of times it's been thrown around and dropped and it works perfectly!
I just love it! The batteries seem to last forever in it too which is a huge plus!
Buy it, you'll love it! We've had ours for well over a year now, it's in perfect shape, and our 19 month old still loves it.

We bought this for our daughter when she was 9 months, and she still loves it at 15 months. Our family loves the humor built into all the Sesame Street programs and toys, and this remote is no different. The volume key actually works to incrementally turn up or down the volume of the toy and the big Monster eyes are a hit with the little one, they make a cute "power on / power off" noise when you hit the button on the side. She always liked to open and shut the eyes with her finger and I think this helped refine her control of her index finger. The best part of the remote is that it has saved us from numerous tantrums as it is very easy to throw in the diaper bag.

This toy caught my eye because it looks almost exactly like my actual TV remote. Same color, shape, even the buttons are similarly placed. My son has an obsession with our TV remote, and whenever he gets his little hands on it, it takes me forever to undo whatever it is he's done to the TV settings! As soon as I received this, I didn't give it to him right off. I placed it on the arm of our couch (where I tend to place our actual remote) and let him find it on his own. When he spotted it, he made a mad dash for it, and was just thrilled to pieces! He kept looking at me sideways, wondering when I was gonna take it away, and sat quietly on the couch with it for some time!
I absolutely recommend this little toy! I never put it with all his other toys, I always keep it in the living room where the real remote is so he can feel like he's playing with the actual thing...this was definitely a smart purchase!

Boikido Eco-Friendly Wooden Activity Board - Tina
That being said..I LOVE this toy. I didn't pay 47 dollars for it, and I don't think it is worth that much, but it is an excellent toy. We took away the shapes and she loves playing with the gears and rolling the "eyes" around. I love toys like this, that are more than just push a button and play music. They should make more toys like this!

Boon Water Bugs Floating Bath Toys with Net
Buy Boon Water Bugs Floating Bath Toys with Net Now
Great toy for motor skills and hand-eye coordination. My little one loves it, but instead of scooping, he likes to pick up the bugs and put them inside the net. So just beware that your little one may use it differently than intended, which is fine. The only complain I have is the small width of the net as well as overall small size. My little one likes to scoop all the bugs in and the net is a bit small to hold all three bugs without the last one spilling out.Read Best Reviews of Boon Water Bugs Floating Bath Toys with Net Here
My son loves this! It is free of toxins and it floats on the water so he can use it in the pool! He is too small for many of the toys that sink so this was a super fun alternative!Want Boon Water Bugs Floating Bath Toys with Net Discount?
Our ten month old loves her rubber ducks, but I needed to make them "go away" due to the hole in the bottom letting water in and creating the perfect mold environment. This is a great replacement. No holes to let water in. We already have tumblers she plays with in the tub, but this net is unique and she will enjoy it.
The bugs float great, big enough that they don't fit all the way in her mouth. She loves chewing on the bugs and rubbing them against her gums. she loves putting all the bugs in a tumbler and dumping them out again in the tub. She also likes handing the bugs back and forth to Mom and Dad (practicing Sharing). She hasn't figured out the net yet, but she did lick the handle a few times.
Dad thinks the net is super cool and spent alot of time demonstrating it to the little one. :)
