Cuddly Elephant Infant Costume

Cuddly Elephant Infant/Toddler Costume Size 6-12MIt came on time and looks just like the picture. My daughter loved it for halloween and had a blast that day. I was happy she was in a nice warm costume this year. The only issue I had was that it was supposed to be brand new, which it still maybe was, but there were some blue pens marks that went across one of the ears and no matter what I did, I could not not get the pen out of the fabric. My daughter's 3, so she couldn't care less, so the pen marks weren't too big of a deal for us. Other than that, we were satisfied with our purchase. It is a very cute outfit and there are not many cute elephant costumes out there. They are hard to find and most are kind of ugly. We are happy that we made this purchase.

Purchased this for our 15 month old granddaughter...she did not understand why she had the costume but she enjoy wearing it, but getting candy was also a special delight.

My son love it. When I brought this for my son, and he was so happy.

It made a whole difference if my kid's happy.

This is a nice costume: well made, good materials. Minor gripe: the ears don't stay up too well and the hood falls back sometimes.

Haba Ladybug Pacifier Chain

Haba Ladybug Pacifier ChainThe Haba line of pacifier chains are top notch! We've had 3 different types, and I'm impressed with each. One we've had for over a year and it's begun to stretch out a little bit. The clasp is not as tight but still works well. Occasionally, I'll pop these in the dishwasher if they need a deep clean. I have gotten so many compliments from these. I've even had to order a couple for other people. They look amazing. Note: some haba chains are short and some are long, make sure you check the dimensions!

We used this chain pretty heavily for about 3 months. However, after repeated washing, the wood has started to split and crack and it can no longer be used.

The paint has faded a tad from constant gnawing, but my daughter loves this pacifier chain. It is also very cute.

I like that it is long enough that it rarely gets caught up so that she can't get her binky to her mouth, and short enough that it doesn't tangle. The clip is sturdy and we use it every day. She can always find her binky to put it back in her mouth.

My only minor complaint might be that it is a pain to get a binky on and off, you have to loop it through the chain itself... but it isn't enough to make me mark it down... this chain has been a lifesaver.

I love all our Haba toys (thank you, friends + family) and when I needed a binky-chain this was the one for us. Adorable design, solid, and simple to use. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for. Still works nine months later and no failings with the clasp, the string threaded through the wooden beads, the beads, all of it still as good as new. Baby liked teething on the beads a bit. Best of all, I wanted a chain that would be long enough to clip straight down on her clothes so she wouldn't risk any strangling and wouldn't fiddle with the clasp. This was the one! Sadly we are now broken of our binky habit but I still carry the beads and am thinking of threading a rattle or other toy, or using it with a snack trap to keep from getting thrown on the floor while in transit.

I've had this paci chain for 2 years. Used w/ my 1st child and now use w/ my son. It is very durable, clips well onto clothes, etc and hold up to babies "teething" on it as well. Haba has done great once again!

Plush Baby Blue Giraffe with Brown Polka Dots and Striped Legs

Plush Baby Blue Giraffe with Brown Polka Dots and Striped LegsI already knew what to expect when ordering this product~ My two year old nephew had an identical stuffed giraffe since birth that he carried with him everywhere; it was the Hobbes to his inner Calvin. When it turned up missing after a trip to the grocery store, my sister sped back to retrace our path, while I jumped onto Amazon to look for a duplicate, just in case. I was so relieved to find a dopple-ganger! We ordered it, and were crushed to see the expected delivery was six to nine days away (spanning a weekend). To our joy, Giraffe 'returned from his trip' in only five days!

Quick delivery was my top priority, and I wasn't disappointed!

Sesame Street Beanbags

Gund Sesame Street Everyday Super Grover Beanbag 7' PlushThis is a cute little toy that toddlers will like to play with. It is small enough that they can hold it without a problem. One thing a buyer should be aware of is the eyes on the doll. When I first held it in my hands I immediately noticed the round hard plastic eyes sticking out of the head. This gave me pause that it could be a choking hazard if they were to break off. However, both eyes are stuck together making it harder to choke on. Also the eyes are pretty well secured to the body so they aren't likely to break off. Just a word of caution that you might want to be with your little one when he/she plays with it.

My 2 year old son has all of these characters and loves these toys. I love that they are small enough for him to carry around (he never goes anywhere without at least 2 of them), affordable and they are durable also. We've washed them several times and they still look great.

HABA Lucky Charm Pacifier chain

HABA Lucky Charm Pacifier chainThis pacifier chain is fantastic! It's wooden, well made and very colorful, I got so many compliments about it! As other reviewer said, it attaches super strongly so there is no way that you or your baby can pull it off. This pacifier chain is made in Germany for some it may be important news. Over all, I would highly recommend this item, I love all the Haba products because of their quality.

The reviews saying that the product slips off of fabric on the clip are not using the clip properly. It is VERY strong and I can't pull it off of anything it is clipped to. The fabric should be clipped inside the clip, not between the wood piece and the back of the metal clip. This pacifier chain is fantastic. My son loves to play with it and the quality is so nice. Instead of a pacifier, I've hooked a silicone toothbrush to the end and my son can chew it when he's in the carrier on my back and I don't have to worry about him dropping his toy. I'd love to have a few of these. They are super cute and of excellent quality.

OUr little guy won't take a paci but loves to chew on the edges of a Natursutten. So, I picked this clip up when he started teething. He loves playing with the shapes, exploring the texture, and chewing on the chain. It has stayed clipped without any issues, so the paci never ends up on the ground. We have a HABA stroller chain, as well, and have never had any trouble with the brand. They are darling.

Bright Starts Grab and Stack Blocks

Bright Starts Grab and Stack BlocksI just spent a ridiculous amount of time reading soft-block reviews on here and testing some out in stores. These are half the price of most others, easily the best looking, and have krinkles, jingles, tags, and other 3d things sewn on. My 5.5 month old loves them. Why would anyone pay 2-5x more than this for soft blocks? I got at Target but this (Amazon) is the best price. Almost forgot! These, like so many baby items, say surface clean only but came out of the wash perfect. So do the Lamaze toys.

I actually love these blocks for the most part, but every time my son puts the edges in his mouth he spits it out and makes a face, so I stuck my tongue to it and it has a horrible chemical taste to it! Did the same to the middle of the block and it was fine. If it wasn't for the taste, I would have gone for five stars, but the chemical taste makes me wonder.

Buy Bright Starts Grab and Stack Blocks Now

I was looking for blocks that could be used for stacking, something educational and of course fun!

What I got that I didn't anticipate is that I enjoyed shaking them, too! HEY I'M A NEW GRANDPA! I'M ALLOWED!

You'll find the sewing to be top notch and solid assembly. Of course, you'll want to check these often to make sure nothing can break off and be a choking hazard but I doubt it will... until my grandson gets teeth and uses them to rip the fabric. (groan)

What I didn't count on that is a real joy is that the bell that is on the inside is actually soothing no loud CLANG or anything like that, just a gentle ring.

I think you'll find this is a very good pick!

My daughter loves the blocks and I did too. That is, until the day I noticed my daughter's mouth was bleeding! At the cut end of the trim, 3 of the 4 blocks have sharp edges. It seems that they way they fused the material together (melting it or something) resulted in hard, sharp edges. Buyer beware!

I got these blocks when my daughter was 5 months old and she loved them right away. She is now 9 months and she still loves them. She seems to like the crinkly blocks better than the rattly/jingly blocks, but they all have something different that attracts her to each of them. I wish there were more than just 4 of these blocks! We always bring at least one block with us when we go out in the car. Washing machine has yet to destroy them, I just put them in a mesh bag on the gentle cycle.

Trevor the Turtle

Trevor the TurtleI work at a daycare program for toddlers and they have one in the classroom. It's a very good cushion and the inner stuffing doesn't become stiff or flat after wears and tears, and this is when the kids jump and tumble and flip it on hourly basis everyday. As an adult even me love sitting on it! The turtle cover can take off for washing and the color looks still great after many times. A little bit pricy, but very durable and colorful and cute!

Wonderworld Hammer Bench

Wonderworld Hammer BenchThis is exactly what I wanted: a well-designed, well-painted hammer board with no bells or whistles for a kid to just hammer the heck out of when she was needing to "express herself" (i.e., hit something other than her parents). This is the closest to the old-fashioned one you knew and whacked as an energetic, frustrated toddler/teenager. The pegs put up a good degree of resistance, the hammer is well-sized and well-made, the whole thing flips over so one can start over again immediately, and the experience is satisfying, even for Mom and Dad. There's even a hole to stick the hammer in. Watch out, kitty. This is the one you want.

I love the way this is constructed. Very good quality, but the pegs are too tightly positioned in the holes.

It's practically impossible for me to pound the peg thru. I'm trying to figure out how to file down the insides

to make them pound thru a little more easily.

bought this when our son was a little younger than a year old and he has played with it every day since. he is just now understanding that you flip it to continue hammering the pegs down. the color is good but it does leave marks on the hammer. despite that they have held up well. well made. love wooden toys and feel like this was a good buy.

This is great quality and doesn't seem to be too hard for my 17 month old to pound the pegs. There is some tension but that is the point. I like that it is made with non-toxic materials.

Want Wonderworld Hammer Bench Discount?

My 8 month old son showed a lot of interest in a similar toy at a friend's house so I chose this model because it is not made in china and the mallet didn't have a sharp square head. The handle of the mallet is shorter than most I've seen and thicker which I like since my son prefers to stand and wave things around a lot. I'm pleased with The quality and size. Unlike other reviewers, I feel the pegs are just as tight as they should be (using some kind of clear gasket in the holes). He doesn't have the faintest idea that the mallet is for pounding the pegs, but I expected that and am glad he will get more function out of the toy as he grows. For now, he had a hammer that doesn't make me cringe when he stands up and waves it around. I also am pleased with the company's dedication to non toxic toys since everything a child this age comes into contact with inevitably goes in his mouth. I will be buying more from this company.

Update, my son is now almost 17 months old and this by far his favorite toy. He has mastered the hammering action and flipping the board to continue his fun. This has held up very well to being banged repeatedly every day for months. I love having something he likes so much when he needs his hammering activities appropriately focused. He likes being able to pound them completely free of the board so we get the extension activities of stacking the pegs, counting them, discussing the colors, and putting them back into the holes. I also get to chase the pegs when they roll off and under odd things, but it's worth it for all the enjoyment he gets from this toy. I'd buy this again, but I am very glad I didn't wait until the 18 month mark.

Eviltron

EviltronI bought a couple of these to try it out,but thinking they wouldn't work as well as advertised. Well, they work, and they are great. I had one co-worker tear apart his office (I helped him out) and reach a point that he started to scream out "I hear you @**hole..." every 5 minutes or so (i also told a couple people nearby to say that they didn't hear a thing if he asked). Now we have on in the men's room, and one in a conference room making people jump and question their sanity.

Being a gadget guy I bought this to use on my unsuspecting spouse but she was home when it was delivered. So I planted it in a office at work. I set it to "Hey, can you hear me?" The result exceeded all expectations. The victim was positive something supernatural was communicating with him. Actually ran down the hall freaking out. It motivated him to clean his office and gather coworkers to assure him others could hear it. Before the eviltron was found out Tec. Support guy suggested he go to church more often. It took him 2 days to find it. I told him he now has to prank someone else with it. My only regret is I did not catch him on video.

I really want the next generation to enable recording of custom sounds. I would use:

"I said, can you hear me?"

"I saw what you did"

A copy of the victim's ring tone

"I can see you, go back to sleep"

Buy Eviltron Now

If your boss has a good sense of humor, I'd use it on him! Otherwise, it may drive him to the funny farm... and you somewhere other than where you are employed currently.

I stuck mine behind a radiator (that was off) and set it to: "Hey, Can You Hear Me?" in a whisper voice. Well, I naturally don't have good hearing so, everytime he asked me about it, I replied with a straight face, "Hear What?" to which he said, "That Voice! I hear, Hey, Can you hear me?"

After accusing everyone in the room... outside the room... and people who he knew weren't fond of him, he started to pick up the phone to see if they were on there... He tried answering the voice, maybe they were stuck in the wall?... he then came to the conclusion that it was a remote control device that someone was setting off. He scoured the room for the sounding box but could not find it.

Well, after a couple of days, I broke my straight face and showed it to him and he found it to be mildly amusing.

Word of this got around to everyone and we all had a good laugh.

Not recomended for employees/boss's with no sesne of humor, people who get irritated and then become irate very easily. People with medical conditions, hear voices already, or believing in ghosts or are paranoid by nature, wouldn't be good victims as when they find out the joker was you, it may not end well for the joker... that'd be you, unless you can blame it on a compulsive agree-er. :)

UPDATE 12/13/11:

Holy Crap. So. I got another unit shipped from Amazon. I turned it on and it worked right away. I never left it on to hear the repeat function actually work before deployment though. More on that later.

My family went up to visit my Sister and her boyfriend before Christmas a few days ago. I brought along the Eviltron with me hoping to deploy this against my unsuspecting sibling and her boyfriend.

Upon arriving, I started scouting out deployment locations. Bathroom pipe? No. Behind the refrigerator? No. Under their bed attached to the bed frame? YES!

I activated the Eviltron, clicked through until I heard the "Hey, Can you hear me?" sound and stuck it under their bed. Then I waited. I could not hear it again! Granted, the sound volume is low, and there was a lot of kids running around screaming, but still I heard nothing. I re-deployed it maybe three times. Figuring maybe I'd gotten another defective unit, we left that night disappointed. I left it stuck to the bed frame right near the edge. I figured that next time we were over I'd try again with a new unit.

That night went by. No call.

The next day went by. No call.

Today? CALL

My sister calls me and tells me that they found my little gadget. She says, "Do you want to hear how it went down?" Of course!!!!

Here's a summary of what happened:

Shortly after we left, they hear a noise. Then they hear it again...and again.

They have no idea what it's saying. They're thinking something is haunted in their apartment. Then they hear it clearly say "Hey, Can you hear me?"

Thinking that one of my kids may have left a toy on their bed, they pull the sheets off (and find nothing.) They still hear the voice.

Then they look under the bed, nothing there.

They pull off the mattress. They're getting freaked out now.

They pull off the box spring. Nothing there. Her boyfriend thinks he hears the voice coming from the box spring.

HE CUTS OPEN THE BOX SPRING AND LOOKS AROUND WITH A FLASHLIGHT!!!!!. Nothing. More freaking out.

My sister picks up the bed frame and shakes it hard....yet Eviltron does not fall off.

Then they're thinking the voice is coming from inside the wood floor. They start thinking about how to pull a floor board up.

My sister goes to call her apartment manager and just happens to search Google for the phrase "Hey, can you hear me?"

She sees the Eviltron online and goes back to look again. He finds and disables the little devil this time.

Her boyfriend is pissed that he cut open his box spring.

I had to offer to either replace the box spring or take them out to dinner on us.

Bottom line is that this thing is AWESOME!!!!! Just be careful with whom and where you deploy it if you're not able to monitor the insanity yourself. In the end, this thing was an awesome prank, but it's costing me a lot more than the initial $10! :-)

Original Review:

I ordered an Eviltron fulfilled by Amazon.

It came promptly and undamaged.

I pulled out the power tab and the Eviltron activated....then it stopped making sound when the button was pressed. I even tried a new battery.

The box says that you may have to press down on the battery to get it to seat properly. I pressed and pressed and pressed to no avail.

It never worked again.

The good news is that this little guy is on it's way back to Amazon and a new one should be here tomorrow. Assuming I get one that actually works, I'll update my review at that time.

Want Eviltron Discount?

**please read updates**

This thing could be "eviler" if it was just a bit louder and it would be awesome if it had a volume control.

Over all this thing as a ton of potential to drive someone completely insane. It's very small and easy to hide. With a well thought out hiding place this would be nearly impossible to locate.

The downside is, it's just too quiet and the sound is lost with any level of background noise.

I work in a pretty loud office and we stuck this to one of our office workers desk chairs (under his seat). The Eviltron has been doing it's thing for about 8 hours... I sit about 12 feet away from the "victim" and I haven't heard it go off at all, and sadly the victim hasn't seemed to hear it either and he is sitting on it. (for the record, he is sitting above it it's magnetically stuck to the bottom of his chair and nothing is obstructing the speaker).

This would be good for a bedroom, where it's completely quiet as you doze off... but unless you work in a library, this just won't cut it in an office environment.

I will let the Eviltron continue to do it's thing and update this if our victim starts twitching...

**Day 2**

Half way though the 2nd day of the experiment, another co-worker inquired to our "victim" about a weird "noise". The victim then gushed something along the line of "I'm so glad you heard that, I thought I was going crazy.."

I have upgraded my "star" review of this product to 4 from 3. Once our victim starts freaking out and getting the rest of the office involved I'll upgrade to level 5.

Stay tuned...

**Day 3**

Our "victim" has suspected that someone (mainly me) is screwing with him. He has repeatedly asked me if I have done "something", so far I have been able to redirect his accusations by pretty much just changing the subject or acting like I am too busy to talk about phantom noises.

One concern is the Eviltron is generating it's noise on a regular intervals (3 min and 45 secs) our "victim" has set his watch to it. He has also enlisted others in the office to "hear" it too. It would be much better if it was making noise at random times which is what I thought it was supposed to do.

*********

Day 3 mid morning.

The gig is up. Our "victim" turned his suspicions to the office on the floor below us. He thought that maybe the noise was emanating from downstairs and right before the 3 min 45 second mark, he marched down there and waited for it. Nothing.

While he was out of the office, my cohort and I decided to move the device to a new location then in what could be described as a panic moment, we came up with the idea of removing it entirely. The thought process being that our "victim" would inquire about a "weird ratcheting noise" to the nice people downstairs, they of course would deny making the noise, then after returning to his office the noise would mysteriously stop. We could then "encourage" a line of thinking that "they" lied and must have stopped making the noise. After about a week, we of course would have re-installed Eviltron...(insert evil laugh)

Reality we removed it, he came back and said he didn't hear it while in the other office....and he did NOT talk to anyone. So that pretty much screwed us. After about what would have been a couple "cycles" (6 to 9 minutes), the "victim" walked into my office, sat down and stared at me. When I said "what's up?" (in the most innocent, straight face I could muster), he simply replied "why don't you tell me what's up?".

So ends the first experiment.

We are now all conspiring on who our next "victim" will be.

**********

Review in Summary this thing is awesome. But be aware, like all psychological torture it takes some time to work, so don't expect "instant results". If you want instant gratification buy a Whoopie Cushion.

Downside: I don't like the regularity of the noise however it keeps going off in 3 min 45sec intervals and the victim was starting to hone in on the source.

This thing is truly insidious, for the love of God people, have some compassion on who you unleash this thing on. I just can't imaging putting this in someones bedroom, office or car in a "set and forget" situation where you can't monitor their psychological deterioration. Your "victims" life would be broken into 3min and 45sec bites just waiting for the "next" noise event.. it would be all consuming and most likely impossible to tune out. Oh the horror.

I'm keeping my 4 stars at 4. If it was truly random timing it would be a 5 star easily!

Aurora Plush Baby 10 inches Grace Doll

Aurora Plush Baby 10 inches Grace DollThis doll is even better in person. It's absolutely adorable. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a rattle inside. I'm giving it to my niece for Christmas. It will be her first doll.

The Grace Doll looks cute online. However, when it arrived, I was so disappointed by the CHEAP quality (cheap and thin material, legs different size). The doll looked like it was about to fall apart. I returned to Amazon promptly. We bought the Manhattan Toys stella doll instead--more expensive but MUCH better quality.

I love this doll! Originally, I bought it for the Christmas shoebox drive at our church. The skin tone and hair color made it extremely versatile no matter what country it would be sent to. Unfortunately, I ordered too late and missed the deadline to include it in my box.

So I gave it to my daughter for her first birthday. I love that the hair is made from fabric and not yarn, as my daughter likes to chew on things and yarn has a tendency to shred. I love that the features are embroidered, as buttons may eventually fall off and be swallowed. I love the dress. I love the hair ribbons. I wish I was little again, just so I could have this adorable doll! :)

We bought this 'Grace' and the 'Sierra' doll for our 1 year old. I am happy with both purchases. Love the price. The decoration on one of Sierra's shoes has already come off (have had dolls 4 weeks maybe) and don't know where it is to glue back on. But, the dolls have tons of charm. Love the diversity and our caucasian girl loves multi-cultural friends.

Our son is medically complex so we gave Grace a trach and a g-tube (easy to place around neck and in tummy) so I would recommend that idea to anyone who wants further diversification!!

I wouldn't say as an earlier reviewer did that the dolls are cheap looking. I consider my standards high and thought they were great in meeting my expectations. I just bought our daughter a Fisher Price walker/stroller for dolls that I think is just the right size for these.

Nuby Click Links, 8 Pack

Nuby Click Links, 8 PackI have a six month old baby boy and I believe you can never have too many links. I use them for everything, attaching toys (or other stuff) to his stroller, to the high chair or simply for him to chew on.

These are thicker than most links we have and the opening is a little big (I've notice my son can separate them easily) so I'm not using these to attach any toys but raher for him to chew on and he loves them, since they are thick, they have textured surface on all sides so they are really good for chewing.

I got this for my 4 month old daughter. I was hoping to be able to attach some of her toys to her stroller with it, but the links have too wide of a gap and everything falls off (even the links themselves). My daughter likes chewing on the links and likes the colors so overall it is a pretty good toy, just wish the gap wasn't so wide.

Bright Starts Clack and Slide Activity Ball

Bright Starts Clack and Slide Activity BallPros:

My 9-month-old still plays with it at least briefly every day.

He loves the spinning ball at one end.

A good variety of shapes to spin and chew on.

Cons:

The ribbed rings are not in contrasting colors, as pictured.

The paint on the caterpillar's body has begun to chip/scrape off.

My baby has never been able to make the squeaker at one end squeak, and doesn't seem amused by the squeaky sound that it makes. (He loves every other squeaker out there.)

He's never seemed overly interested in this toy.

Update: At 10 months, my baby is not interested in this toy any longer.

Love this toy. My 6 month old daughter will play with this while she is laying down, sitting up, or in her chair. It is easy for her to grab & swing around, the colors are very vibrant to attract her interest, & there is plenty to do & enough different sounds that happen (when is playing with it) to make her want to keep checking it out. Very impressed. :)

My recommendation is to purchase this for a younger baby...they will LOVE it! It does have a lot to do and is very durable.

Great toy, my baby loved it from the first sign. It is great for development, chewing, playing, he caries it everywhere with him.

Want Bright Starts Clack and Slide Activity Ball Discount?

I was looking for a toy that is not a teether, a rattle or a teddy bear, that my 3-month old baby girl would be able to use on her own at her young age. After looking around I decided to give this activity ball a try. Well, I was so right to do so! She immediately started grasping, shaking and putting this toy in her mouth, and a few days later she started pushing the frog up and down and trying to make the ball on top turn. Simply amazing! The ball offers lots of amusement for baby without the hassle of electronics, loud noises and annoying songs. She just didn't want to put it down and actually held on to it even when I was taking her to her room for a nap.

She stopped playing with it around the time she got 10 months old, but hey, that's a toy for young babies, not toddlers, so I don't agree with reviewers who complain about the short life time of it, especially when I think how much it was loved and used for these months! And even if it is not used anymore, it is still in such a good shape that her siblings will be able to use it, too. And for sure, they'll love it!

Earlyears Stacking Activity Cubes

Earlyears Stacking Activity CubesMy son got these for Christmas when he was just over one years old. He loved them right away. He'd grab a cube and crawl around the house with it, clonk--clonk--clonk.

Now he is 20 months old and still loves playing with them. He's become proficient at stacking them, and the towers he makes pleases him to no end.

Each cube has it's own interesting draw--one is filled with tiny balls, another has a built-in prism, another makes a clicking noise, etc. I highly recommend these cubes, they're a good, quality toy that doesn't disappoint. They'd also make an excellent gift.

You stack these 5 cubes by lining up the triangles. It is a good problem solving toy because you have to figure out how to position each so it lines up and stacks correctly. Each also has its own little activity, so that's another demention of play. These hold my 17-month-old's attention, and I do think they have plenty to offer. I recommend them.

Love the fact that these do not have small pieces, they fit together to help children learn shapes and matching. The colors are very primary and help with learning the basic colors as well. I purchased this for my granddaughters when they were 18 months old and they love this toy. Now their 5 month old brother plays with it and I am secure in the knowledge that there is nothing he can swallow or pull apart. If it survived 2 years with the girls it can survive anything. They are extremely destructive and toys rarely last but this has lasted very well. Even when they cannot find all of the pieces they can usually find at least two of them to play with this toy. I highly recommend it if you are looking for an educational toy for your children or your grandchildren or just unsure what to give as a gift at a birthday party. I would personally recommend it for children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years. My grandson is playing with it at 5 months and is safe but he doesn't get much out of it other than something to teeth on.

These were a gift to four month old twins. Their mom says the blocks are every bit as fascinating as they are pictured. They had been recommended by a physical therapist for sensory stimulation. Their mom says they both stare at the cubes at length , but she expects them to get full benefit at six months. Meanwhile daddy plays with them constantly especially after another sleepless night. Sturdy enough for old and young, these are a great toy.

My son's physical therapist recommended these blocks because she said they were great for fine motor skill development. He just loves playing with them. He will stack them and play with them separately. He likes that each block has something different in the middle and spends a lot of time manipulating them. At 15 months he does not yet get how they stack together correctly, but is still able to make a tower. These toys have taken a huge beating and have held up great. We have had these about 6 months now, and they have been thrown and banged together pretty routinely--they still look new.

Baby Bath Wind Up Toy ~ Frog & Ladybug

Baby Bath Wind Up Toy ~ Frog & LadybugItem did not work from the beginning. Opened the packaging and pulled the drawstring. Nothing.

Not worth the hassle of returning but I'd advise against purchase.

It's cute and my 16 month old plays with it, but it was expensive for a simple wind up toy. It actually arrived in Babies R Us packaging, so I could have probably bought it there cheaper.

Learning Curve Baby Buzzing Bee

Learning Curve Baby Buzzing BeeThis is the best teether you could buy! My daughter and the 5 other children I've given it to, love this teether. It has a great design. The vibrating part is small enough that the early teether can use it with ease. The wings are easy for small babies to hold, chew on and attach a lanyard or rings. I can't say enough positive things! Buy this teether and have a happy teething baby!

My daughte LOVES this teether. Not only can she hold onto it but she can get a massage while bitin down on it! When I first bought this teether, I didn't know it vibrated, and was stunned at the buzzing sound it made....I wasn't the only one. My daughter instantly from then on loves to teethe and bite down, and I think she not only likes the sensation but the sound is really soothing also!

I am going to be buying another, as my daughter loves this one!

Requested the pink by writing "pink" they sent yellow. Not enough time to send back. Don't expect to get the Colorado you request. If I had known I would not have ordered. Should get the color you want for the $.

Bought my Massaging Buzzing Bee Teether last night, got home & there is a soft plastic over the vibrator part it is coming off before we even began to use it. What a horrible choking hazard for my baby!! I will no longer be buying this brand as they do not seem to care about my babies safety..........This is the 2nd time in a month I have had issues with TOMY products.

Sesame Street Playset Playskool

Sesame Street Playset PlayskoolI bought this for my daughter for her first Christmas. She loves playing with it and seeing all of her sesame street friends. I recommend buying this product from Amazon over Walmart for one reason. Although, Walmart's product was cheaper in price, Amazon's offered 6 additional figureines with their's where Walmart did not. The one from Wal-mart only came with Elmo, Cookie and Oscar. Amazon's is much better and you get more for your dollar. On a side note. The characters in the windows are cardboard and are part of packaging. That was my only disappointment.

This item is great! My daughter loves all the characters it came with. Granted it was $20 more than I had seen at Costco (which was sold out when I decided to buy it), but still a decent price.

I originally ordered it for my son and daughter. They love it so much I had to buy a second one. Great value for all the figures included.

Infantino Sweet Serenade Crib Toy

Infantino Sweet Serenade Crib ToyThe little figures going around are adorable. It is a good idea, not too big and bulky BUT there is something seriously wrong with the music. The best way I could describe it is the music you would hear playing in the baby's room in a horror movie. It is terribly off key and really kind of disturbing. I am shocked Infantino OK'd this. Not sure if it was just mine, but not taking the chance.

Played it once and promptly returned.

strin on toy seems a little long to be placing in a crib as well as it appear hard to pull too hard for an infant.

The animals are really adorable, it's sweet and simple. I like the music I didn't think it was creepy at all. I have a significantly more expensive mobile that projects pictures on the ceiling (or on a spinning canopy with little toy animals) and this one is just as entertaining at a fraction of the price (and no batteries!).

My DD loves to pull the cord to get the music playing and the animals and background turning. It is just too cute! I love the fact that it does not require any batteries. The only thing is that there is a part in the music that sounds out of tune, but I think it's just the one I have right now. I had gotten one before that sounded great (nothing out of tune, just nice and clear and kind of loud), but had to send it back because the cord got stuck halfway up. Overall, it's not so badly out of tune and it is just so adorable that I decided to keep it. Besides, my little one seems to have a lot of fun pulling that cord.

Skip Hop 20 Piece 70"x56" PlaySpot Floor Mat

Skip Hop 20 Piece 70'x56' PlaySpot Floor Mat, Green/BrownI am very happy with my play spot. I bought it for the following reasons: 1. I wanted to set aside a safe, clean area for my baby to play and explore where there would be no foot traffic 2. I wanted to protect my baby from hitting the floor and 3. I wanted something that would look nice in our loft apartment (most of the baby stuff out there is garish, ugly and in awful colors). Unlike other reviewers, I don't have any issues keeping it clean. Yes, it gets dusty, but no more than the rest of our wood floors (and we live near Ground Zero where there is a ton of construction/dust all over the place) and in fact, it is cleaner than the rest of the floors because we don't walk over it. In terms of the gaps, I don't have any issues because I'm not trying to protect the floor from the baby; rather, I'm trying to protect the baby from the floor. For this purpose, it works extremely well, especially during the transition period when the baby is still perfecting the art of sitting up. The design and colors are great; they don't cheapen the look of our loft unlike most of the baby things out there.

Since this product meets all of my needs, I give it 5 stars.

I was really excited about this product but it is a total disappointment. I read all the other negative reviews but didn't want to believe them b/c it's just so cute! Well it came today and after about 10 minutes of having it out I knew it had to go back.

*The smell is VERY strong, smells like paint fumes. Granted, I only had it out for a few minutes, maybe after a few days of airing it out it would go away, but I didn't want this smell around my son for any amount of time at all. I've heard this complaint with other foam mats, though, so maybe this is not avoidable. It is a STRONG smell, though.

*In the photos this mat looks so much cuter than all the other available foam mats for kids. But in person the colors just aren't as cute for the blue/gold at least. Hard to describe, but the colors are a little less bold, not as rich. (Still much better looking compared to the ABC mats, though.)

*The texture In the photos, this mat looks smooth and soft, sort of shiny, whereas the product photos of other foam mats make them look textured and sort of rough, not smooth at all. And they call themselves textured. This product calls itself smooth but when you get it it's just as textured (or seem to be just as textured) as all the other mats on the market, and doesn't have a "smooth" quality about it the way I expected. It does not have a "shiny" side.

*I thought this mat would be thicker and/or softer than other mats, but it is not. It is about 1/2" thick, which isn't necessarily bad, but to me it's not thick enough or soft enough for my almost 6-month-old to play on without any additional blankets or etc. It is very thin and very firm.

*Too many pieces This is the complaint most people who had negative reviews wrote about it, and I figured we'd just deal with that, and maybe our son would have fun with it. This isn't a major reason we're going to return it but I did notice right away how easily they come apart. When you take a square out of the package, the circle immediately falls out, just to give you an idea of how not-that-snug they are. But on the floor it does seem to stay in place, but I can't comment too much on that since again, we didn't really use it.

Overall the quality is just not enough. Or, really, the quality paired with the physical appearance of it, is just not enough. I thought the cute blue/gold (brown) modern colors made it worth it for us to spend like double the price on this mat vs. some other ones, but the colors aren't as cute in person (maybe the other color sets are), it's too thin and firm for us, and the fumes were too strong.

Now, if you really like the colors (hopefully you can find them in person at a store to check it out first), then this might be worth it. Just be prepared to air it out, and know that it will be as much of a toy as it is a mat when your child is old enough to get the pieces out, and while your baby is very young be prepared to use some additional padding for his/her comfort. The padding might be fine for an older toddler. Also, though I don't know for sure, I can't imagine it being that much harder to keep clean than any other mat it looks like all the other ones, similar texture why would it attract more dust (like others have talked about)?

***Edit: I've had this product for several months now after deciding not to return it after all. We use just the blue/brown pieces and it looks great and we've had no issues. Yes our son likes to take the pieces apart but not that often and it's fun for him when he does. It does not attract dust or dirt and is easy to clean. I take back a lot of what I wrote here b/c I was being too picky. I was expecting the padding to be so thick but I was expecting an unreasonable amount of padding. It is pretty nice cushioning underfoot and when baby falls back or etc.

We were pretty excited about getting this product, and I was excited all through installation up until we actually started using it.

A play mat should provide three basic functions.

Safety, cleanliness, and durability.

Safety:

Within a day, the play mat had pieces of it popping out when any weight, such as a child walking, was placed on it(exposing any child on it to the floor), and any mildly adventurous child with any kind of hand control will be able to easily remove the circular pieces from the mat (why the circular parts are made to pop out is a mystery to me). This completely defeats the purpose of keeping your child safe from minor bumps against the floor.

Cleanliness:

I can appreciate the tiles being configurable, but the shoddy fit, and unnecessary circular cutouts (which also causes the popping out mentioned above), is an absolute dirt/grit/dust/crumb magnet. Also the excessive gaps will not protect your floor from anything that might wet it (like a bathroom accident). Additionally cleaning this mat is a royal pain. instead of just wiping down one side of one surface, as you would for a normal play mat you are essentially wiping down a minimum of 16 pieces (far more than double that if you count all the pieces), and depending on the mess (such as a liquid spill) you will be cleaning up both sides because of the excessive gappage.

Durability:

I don't think it is unreasonable to expect something that is meant to take the daily abuse of being trodden on by children to be durable. But the foam material that this pad is constructed of isn't much better than some of your better packing material. It is easily scuffed, scratched gouged and warped. Within a day of light use (our daughter can't even crawl yet) the skip hop play mat looked like I would have expected it to look after years of hard service.

Very very disappointing.

A very clear and unfortunate example of aesthetics taking precedence over practicality.

Couldn't be happier with this play mat. I read reviews before purchasing and was hesitant. Some people said it had a strong smell, was poor quality, etc. First of all, this mat has ZERO smell. I put my nose right up to it, and cant smell anything. It is adorable, and came in excellent condition. It's pricey, yes, but worth it to have something for my baby to play and crawl on that is PVC free. We tried another foam mat before this one and had to return it because of the harsh smell. My son sits up on this and falls backwards...bumps his head and there are no tears! It's not SUPER thick foam, but thick enough for what you need it for. The best looking foam play mat out there, good size and best of all eco friendly! My son loves it and so do we! Definitely don't listen to the negative reviews....this is well worth the expensive price tag.

Nice colors, but this mat gets DIRTY and scratched very easily. Not very good quality, either...the pieces don't always fit nice and snug so leaves spaces between them, which collect lots of dust, baby snack crumbs and etc...(Can't believe it was designed for babies/kids!) Very very disappointed...I want to send it back to the product design dept. at Skip Hop. DON'T BUY!!
