My First Camera Baby Toy

My First Camera Baby ToyMy daughter loves this, but not because she likes playing with cameras. Its just because it plays sounds and songs when she hits the buttons. When she hits the shutter button, there is a little picture on the back of a face that changes from happy to sad to laughing, etc. The red piece that has a 1-2-3 on it does light up when you hit the shutter button. Its not to loud nor too quiet. I guess you could say it is just right on the volume. It is made from fairly sturdy plastic. My daughter has dragged this thing everywhere and it still looks brand new.

the guy I bought this for is a 30 year old surgery resident who is really in to cameras and photography. He thought it was hilarious

Purchased two of these for grandchildren. They loved it. Nicely made and sturdy. Might be a little too big for tinier hands under age 2.

Bright Starts Cuddly Carrier Pal Toy, Pretty in Pink

Bright Starts Cuddly Carrier Pal Toy, Pretty in PinkAwesome toy! My 8 months old baby girl will play with the flower in her car seat. What i like about it is in can be completely detach and the elephant can be used as a blanket buddy. I think if one would have try to secure this on the crib, it would have work too. I might try that route once my baby girl outgrow her infant car seat. Recommended!

This toy is super cute it wraps perfectly around the car seat handle its bright and cheery I got it for a baby shower gift and everyone loved it its soft and unique my newborn niece just stares at it and she gets all excited! Too cute we love it

BRIO Knock-Out Pounding Bench

BRIO Knock-Out Pounding BenchMaybe our son is too young to enjoy this toy, (he's not yet 2) but he has banged it once or twice with vigor, though not quite hitting the nail on the head. In any case, it requires a lot of power to really drive those pegs into the board. This is good and bad. The pegs don't get lost, but that's because it takes a strong kid to whack 'em all the way through. Very durable and well made, though kinda small sized.

Hello Kitty Light Up Headboard

Hello Kitty Light Up HeadboardThis is super cute...works great as night light!! The legs need to be longer so they can fit on a twin size bed frame!! But my hubby made legs and attached them pretty easy....and the headboard is made well....and was wrapped and shipped very well!!

Edushape Discovery Cube Shop Worn Never Opened

Edushape Discovery Cube Shop Worn Never OpenedI knew from the minute it was opened, it was a mistake. The flimsy foam from which it is made makes it nearly impossible (probably impossible would be more accurate) for it to function in the way it is marketed. The velcro is not sticky enough to stay on the pieces and that eliminates a whole side--throw those pieces away now that they're sticky from the glue on the velcro. The cover for the mirror's velcro doesn't work--eliminate that. The pieces that drop into the box are cute and well made--but the box won't stay together for them to be dropped in. Basically, I have six box sides and pieces that may have been fun if it was durable enough to be used in the way it was marketed. Three weeks after opening it...in the trash!

B. Sugar Chute - Mango

B. Sugar Chute - MangoMy son's therapist used to bring over the un-updated version of the Sugar Chute, he loved it, LOVED it, could not get enough play time in. That in mind, we bought him the new and "improved" B. Sugar Chute for Christmas, and it's a far cry from the plastic tower of toddler awesomeness that it's predecessor was. The thing is, the new S.C. has a very foreshortened level inside that is supposed to keep all the balls from falling down the ramp and filling up the internal reservior, therefore making the little knobs on the side obsolete with the first turn of the crank, and quickly ending the fun. The whole point of the toy is that your child can turn a knob and the balls fall down the chute one at a time, like a real gumball machine does, grasp crank, turn, receive reward, repeat; if the balls all slide down at once and come rushing up to the little door at the bottom, that kinda defeats the purpose. The balls that all spill down with the first turn of the crank, of course, get suck in the bottom, because they're all crammed in there, they're really hard for a toddler to remove.

Now, the above problem may just be an issue with our personal S.C., I don't know, but it seems like a design issue. We were so excited about our Sugar Chute, and now we're trolling e-bay for the original.

My daughter and I absolutely ADORE this little gumball machine.I also happen to be a fan of (most) B. toys in general. It has three different mechanisms to drop the "gumballs" downa turning key, a knob that can be pulled back and forth, and a little flip that can be hit, which is on the front, above the drop. This is nice option for the younger ones still working on developing fine motor skills. The colors and patterns are what initially drew me in to this toy. I bought the B. Sugar Chute years ago, and it seems they've come out with even MORE color options! (I might have to buy another, haha!) I will add that the company also seems to be incredibly eco-friendly. The gumballs themselves come in quite a varietythere were a few patterned, a few solid, a few with smaller balls rattling around inside of them, my daughter's favorite. That's really all there is to it. This is a very fun and durable toy, but also SIMPLE. That means no pieces to break, and not spending tons of money on batteries! It is also excellent for teaching cause and effect, and developing fine motor and vision skills( my daughter has special needs and problems in all three departments, and I can't begin to tell you the use we've gotten from this toy). I've had children as old as 7 make a beeline for this toy when they come over to my house! I highly recommend checking out the entire line of B. toys on Amazon.

all the balls get stuck in the bottom and its difficult to remove them. It would be way more fun if they just shot out when released. this toy is large and is just collecting dust. My 18 month old played with it for 5 min and then lost interest. i usually adore B toys and i was pretty surprised that this one was such a flop.

I purchased this for my 13 month old grandson who loves to play with balls. They are brightly colored and just the right size for his hands. The knobs and levels work easily and he loved using all of them to get the balls out of the chute. He carried the entire chute all around on Christmas morning. His 28 month old brother also loved the toy.

Want B. Sugar Chute - Mango Discount?

Love the balls that come with the toy, but the actual gum ball machine is not designed that great. The cover over the hole at the bottom is a real pain. Sometimes it take some real muscle to get it open. It would also be much funner if the ball shot out the bottom with nothing stopping them.

Kids Native American Indian Brave Costume

American Indian Boy Child MedMy Grandson wanted to dress up for Halloween as a Native American. Large Elmo soft plush doll

Large Elmo soft plush dollCould anything be cuter than a child in awe of her favorite character? We look on in wonder as our 21 month old watches Elmo on tv with a smile across her face. We brought her to meet the Sesame Street gang at Sesame Place in Pennsylvania, and she literally hugged Elmo for almost 5 minutes. When we bought this huge stuffed toy for her as a surprise, she couldn't stop squeezing and hugging him. Just PERFECT for a toddler who loves this fuzzy red little guy.

The toy has withstood the contant hugging, pulling and mouthing of our two children for almost one year now and it's needed nothing more than a surface cleaning with a damp cloth. Eyes are a bit heavy and clunky, so if your child accidentally knocks their head against Elmo's face, they will feel the bump...kind of a little too hard, maybe they could have made the eyes stuffed plush instead of hard plastic. Other than that, this toy is wonderful, not educational, just so darned cute and cuddly. No batteries required, no parts to lose, just simple, huggable fun.

My daughter is 2 years old and loves elmo. He is as big as her.

She wants to take him everywhere we go. Do I have to put him in a car seat?

Nice toy for your toddler.

I really never write reviews, but I have to about this plush toy. My Niece is 1 year old Elmo/Zoe loving girl who has had many different stuffed toys, but never had or seen a Toy that was her size before. When I first gave it to her, she looked at it a little funny wondering what is this big thing and then she noticed that it was Elmo; she broke out into a big smile. When I sat it in her favorite chair she walked over to it, Hugged it, and proceeded to pull it on to the ground "While still hugging it". When it was on the ground, she put her head on its tummy "Still hugging it" and proceeded to fall asleep.

What more appreciation or happiness about a new toy could a child show you. I say this gift is well worth the money and after what my niece did, it has become priceless in my eyes.

The head was so large and heavy the thing wouldn't even sit up. When my daughter went to pick him up the head would flop over and she almost got hit in the face with the massive hard plastic eye balls. I thought the whole thing was plush but its not.

One Special Boy 1st Birthday High Chair Decorating Set

One Special Boy 1st Birthday High Chair Decorating SetI had to have this for my son's birthday. It seems a little overpriced, but something that I just had to get. The floor mat is REALLY slick and if you step on it while you're walking past, you're sure to slip. Several of the party guests slid on the mat. Happy Birthday!

I used this for my Son's First Birthday Party. It was cute. Served the purpose. But, it appears cheaply made and rips easily. It doesn't appear as nice as the picture. The price was good for the quality of merchandise. Quick delivery. Great packaging. Decent photo ops. Gave the highchair a little "uumph". We discarded it afterwards.

Buy One Special Boy 1st Birthday High Chair Decorating Set Now

This set was the perfect compliment to our other party decorations. The mat kept the cake mess off the floor, and when placed under the feet of the high chair (as pictured) we had no problems with slips when stepped on, as other reviews indicated. It is made of slippery material, so slips could likely happen if it's not anchored down. The fringe/flags for the highchair tray were excellent -requiring only a few pieces of tape to secure. Highly recommend this product.

My wife bought this our sons birthday. It was really cute for pictures and for the mess he made with the smash CAKE.

Pro:

Very cute .. especially for pictures

Cons:

I think it should be cheaper ...it's something you would pickup in the dollar store

All in all for the first birthday it was worth it.

Cute, but the little pennants were a little smaller than I thought they would be, and not so easy to read (had to do some detail shots to see them in the pictures (let's face it, most type A parents are buying this for the photo opps)

Mary Meyer Cheery Cheeks, Happity Frog, 14"

Mary Meyer Cheery Cheeks, Happity Frog, 14'I bought this for my 11 month old for Easter and he loved it!! He loves the different textures on the feet.

This little guy is very cute, and very huggable. He is super cozy. The only thing I am not thrilled about is that it seems his head faces more up towards the ceiling, rather than straight forward when sitting upright. I am not sure if this is just how ours is, or if they are all like that. It is not a big deal though. My son really enjoys him. We call him Ribbit :) Enjoy! AM

Fun Years Light 'n Sound Railway

Fun Years Light 'n Sound RailwayI just bought this cute train today at Toys R Us and put it together this evening on our cheap contractor carpet. It assembles easily and intuitively; there are no instructions. The engine glides over the track and easily moves around curves (unless you don't set it down with all four wheels are properly aligned with the track), and the figures in the passenger car twirl as the train moves both forward and backward. It chugs as it moves, a button plays music from the Nutcracker ballet, and the smokestack lights up. It's big but not huge; you need several square feet of floor or table space and there should be no choking hazards unless pieces start shattering.

I've only had it a day so I'm not sure about durability. The plastic pieces are lightweight but don't seem particularly brittle. The engine has decent weight in the hand, which is encouraging. If the motor breaks, the wheels won't move freely so it won't work well as a hand-pushed train.

My 10 month old only wanted to chew on the figures and trees, but I think she'll appreciate it in the coming months and years, assuming it continues to work.

Fisher-Price Infant To Toddler Swing in Red

Fisher-Price Infant To Toddler Swing in RedI first bought this swing 8 years ago when my nephew turned 1. He LOVED it, it was his best birthday gift. Since then, it has become our standard one-year-old gift. I've given it to dozens of children and received rave reviews every time. When a friend bought this for my son's first birthday, we were thrilled. He and his friends are now nearly four and still like to swing in it even though they have mastered the big-boy swing. My one-year-old will sit in it watching the big kids play in the garden and he is a mover does not like to sit still at all. It is also perfect on days when the ground is too wet to crawl around (which seems like everyday lately).

By the way, I read the 'upside down' post. I was concerned and tried to turn mine upside down without a child in it and the ropes are balanced that I could not turn it even empty. That family may have had defective ropes or it was installed improperly...

This is the best swing out there. Best features:

-ability to adjust back as baby grows and wants to sit more upright. Many other swings sit back way too far and my baby didnt like that at all!

-ability to remove the tray makes for ease in taking baby out

-VERY SAFE...3 point harness, in addition to the tray that comes down.

-length of ropes is perfect...not to high or too low!

Overall, I dont think you will find a better swing with all these features.

Buy Fisher-Price Infant To Toddler Swing in Red Now

I bought this swing second hand at a garage sale and have never been sorry. My mother's bought a number of swings for her 4 other grandchildren, and this one is by far the best we've ever had. The swing is easy to adjust, easy to get open and get baby into, and easy to close. My daughter was born in May and we have used the swing since July. We've brought it in the house, put it on the front porch, back porch, and hung it from a ladder when we've had to. This swing has been a wonderful calming source for my daughter. There were times when she didn't want a thing to do with the graco indoor battery operated swing, didn't want anything to do with us, didn't want to be alone, but when placed in this swing, all was well with her. I recommend this swing to anyone with a child under the age of 4.

We loved this swing last summer when my son was under 12 months old. My little guy is a peanut and I thought it would last a while, however, as he began to move around he was able to flip the swing. He was just over a year and leaned forward as far as he could and the whole thing flipped over. Needless to say we took it down immediately. We are now looking into a Step 2, 5 point harness, toddler swing.

My daughter is 5 months and loves this swing. We added it to the swingset we have. It installs easy. It is easy to get her in and out of. She looks comfortable in it. It has a nice buckle and it has a tray in front for snacks or toys. It reclines back which is nice since she can't sit up straight yet. I highly recommend this swing. My swingset came with a bucket swing, which is too big for her. I looked at several other swings, and I am pleased with this one!

Queen of the Jungle Advice Bookno where is it mentioned that this is a flimsy book similar to what you would get out of a kid's meal at a fast food joint.

Sword Sound Toy x 1/DSP 12

Sword Sound Toy x 1/DSP 12This toy is so cute. I bought it for my friend's 1-year-old, and she loves swinging it around. There is a plastic insert inside the sword, so it's very firm, but also very plush. The swashbuckling sound effects confuse and delight her. I wish I'd bought two, so my son could play with it as well.

Mover Baby Walker Natural

Mover Baby Walker NaturalWe love the Moover. We purchased another walker first but it was too hard for our son to stay on his feet while pushing it. He was constantly falling forward because the walker moved too quickly. You can adjust the tension on the Moover's wheels so we could slow it down when he was first learning to walk. He's walking on his own now but he likes to use the Moover as a cart. It's proven to be durable. My son dropped a canned good on it from a few feet up and I expected to find a crack in the cart where it landed but the Moover held up. Other things we like: natural wood, sturdy construction, "bumpers" on the wheels (prevents scratches on walls/baseboards), and it's easy to assemble.

Yookidoo Discovery Playhouse

Yookidoo Discovery PlayhouseThere is another listing for this product on amazon (same product) and there is a one star review there. I am more in agreement with that review than with the ones I read here.

it is a cute toy and there are lots of things to do. but there are a couple of negatives which make me wish we didn't spend the money. first, the ramps for the balls always pop out and they are not simple to get back in. second, although it is fairly easy to fold up, it still takes up A LOT of space when folded at least half the amount of space as the dome when fully assembled. and you can't pop it back into the box at that point, because it won't fit. you have to lean it against a wall and it is always falling over (even when you use the plastic piece they suggest to clip it together).

my 3 and 7 year old kids were more interested in the toy than my 1 year old.

just thought I would provide this alternate view, since all the other reviews seemed so glowing.

Santa brought this for my 1 year old for Christmas this past year. We immediately put it together and the thing is CONSTANTLY falling apart. The walls come out from the bottom where they connect to the feet by pressing a cloth covered bar into a slot. The ramps for the ball drop fall off all the time and if they aren't pushed in all the way the ball does not run through the ramps correctly. The keys don't always work to lock the door so the balls fall out when you want them to stay in and they are also very difficult to use. No way a young toddler can handle the task of inserting and turning a key no matter how big it is. Overall, I am very disappointed in this product and am considering trying to see if I can still send it back 4 months later. I would not recommend buying this at all.

Buy Yookidoo Discovery Playhouse Now

My 14 month old twins recieved this for Christmas and it is amazing! They love to play in it together (they both ift inside well) or peek through it and giggle at each other. The balls rattle which they love and there are so many differnet ways to playball rollercoasters and tunnels, spinning toys, mirrorthey are ative and love to chase each other inside and out. I also feel that thsi toy is safe for 12 months or even younger. There are no sharp or small pieces and it is very sturdy. They can use it to pull to stand and cruise itit will slide a little but does not fall or collapse, even with two babies pulling on it. This is an a amazing toy!

Read Best Reviews of Yookidoo Discovery Playhouse Here

As another reviewer stated, I want to love this toy so badly, but don't. It is great conceptually, but falls short when it comes to quality and usability. The roller coaster ramps not only fall off easily, they are absolutely impossible to put on. By the time I get one on, three others have popped off. I am not sure that I have ever had all of them attached at the same time. What frustrates me the most is that when my kids try to play with the dome, they never feel successful b/c it falls apart and makes it completely unusable. They move on quickly, now never showing interest in playing with this toy b/c it is so frustrating to them. It really makes me wonder how this product ever made it through a test phase. Not only does it not stand up to play by kids, it can't even be put together in the first place by an adult. Watching the video on the International Playthings website about how to fold it up amazes me. They must have shot that video 50 times before it happened that easily! I really think that this could be an awesome product, but they need some serious work on quality of construction. My kids did enjoy the other aspects of the toy, especially the peek-a-boo aspect of it. However, as another reviewer put it, a regular play tent serves the same purpose and can easily be taken down, rolled up, and easily stored on a small shelf! Sorry International Playthings, but this was a big disappointment!

Want Yookidoo Discovery Playhouse Discount?

I do a ton of research before buying anything for my 11 month old twins, especially when it costs $100. So many people seemed to love this so I thought I'd give it a try. I thought the quality of the product was poor. The plastic ball shoots are always coming undone and have to be snapped back in. My kids seem to like crawling in and out of it but it is rather small. They can both fit in it now but I don't know for how much longer they would really be able to. Overall, it is definitely not worth the money and I think a carboard playhouse for $25 would have been a better buy.
