Bought these for our grandbaby. Read many reviews and even baby blogs raving about these teethers and how babies love them. Well it is all true! Our grandbaby loves theses teethers and mom is quite happy it helps so much with teething.

My son has been teething since he was 3 months old. With some teething toys he cries after biting them, which tells me they are much too hard for his swollen and sensitive gums. I bought these teethers as I liked that they came with 2, but different Sophie's. The first is for beginning teething...it more hollow, soft and flexible. My son has never cried while chewing this and it is his favorite teether. The second Sophie is for advanced teething. It is harder and less flexible. Love these and prefer them over the Sophie the Giraffe toy which I also own. This just seems easier to grip and munch on, and there is no long leg that can gagg your little one.

Fleurette Bidou 2GB - MP3 player for babies and kids with built-in loudspeaker

"Sleeping Buddy" is the best thing ever for my 2 year old. She was having trouble going to sleep by herself. I decided to try this and we call it "Sleeping Buddy". She has no issues going to sleep on her own now. I lock the bear so she cant play with the buttons. And I go into her room a few hours after she falls asleep to turn it off for the night. The automatic shut off is only 5, 10, 20 minutes which is too short for her.

I plan to get one for my niece for Christmas she'll be 6 months so I'll get one with a sutff animal.

My 15 month old son really Loves this toy. His favorite things to play with always involve balls:) It is a very basic toy with little bells and whistles, which is why i chose it. It does'nt require batteries and is'nt deafing to my ears. I would recommend it to anyone with a young child who loves to play with balls.

My daughter got this for her 1st birthday. At 13 months, she was able to put the entire ball in her mouth and it got stuck! We were both frantic as I tried to pry it out of her mouth but it was behind her teeth so extremely hard to get out. It took about 30 seconds, which felt like forever, and I have never been that scared before in my life! She could hardly breathe! Please....it's not worth it...please don't buy this. We've had this toy for a long time and all my kids love it but today my 13 month old somehow jammed a ball into his mouth and it got stuck there! It was too big to go down his throat but I could barely pry it out of his mouth and it was really scary! I'll never use this toy again. If they make a new model with bigger balls I'd buy it again.

My oldest daughter has been playing with this toy since she got it for her first birthday (a year and a half ago) and still loves it. My 5-month old has now started to play with it as well. The balls are different colors and some of them rattle when you shake them. I like this toy because the kids have to figure out how to get the balls in and out and they learn what the 2 different levers do. It is very simple, not annoying or loud, but somehow the kids just love to play with it. As for durability, these balls have been thrown all over the living room, sat on, stepped on, put in mouths, etc., the machine itself has been dropped several times and I've never had any problems with anything breaking or coming apart. In all, a very simple, entertaining toy.

The balls of this toy come apart. My son got half of one ball lodged in his mouth and choked and threw up from it. It was a very scary experience. In my opinion, this toy needs to be recalled.

Love the color, size and the way it folds up. However, I was expecting it to be more padded. The blanket flies up when the wind blows because the fabric is so thin.

Fabulous Made in the USA product! This blanket folds into a neat little carrying bag and is thick enough that nothing pokes through. My daughter loves laying on it and looking at all the little Owls. We take it with us everywhere so we can always have a place to set her down to play without having to worry that she will be laying on a totally disgusting floor or a cold ground outside.

Leapfrog Counting Candles Birthday Cake

My daughter received this as a gift for her 2nd birthday. I think that is the perfect age for this toy, although my older kids (3, 5, and 8) have all had some fun with it, too! My two-year old does need some help blowing out the candles sometimes, but she absolutely loves this little cake! She is at the age where she just loves singing the birthday song, so this present was a great choice for her!

What I like:

1. You press the button and each time you do, a candle lights up. So, you can light just one candle, or two, or all five...it's up to you. When you have the number of candles lit that you want, just wait a second and if you don't press the button again, the bday song will start. My two year old likes to press it until all 5 candles are lit (even though she is 2!), and she counts out loud along with the little voice coming from the cake.

2. It's cool that while the song is playing, you can press the buttons to hear cool sounds and fun melodic variations thrown in. I love that if my daughter starts pushing buttons during the song, it just adds to the fun of the song, but finishes! I get so tired of toys where a push of a button stops something right in the middle to go on to something else! Little kids love pushing buttons over and over, so I think whoever designed this, did it RIGHT! Thank you!

3. The best thing about the cake is that you can actually "blow out" the candles (via a little grouping of holes in the middle of the cake). And the cake says "Yay!!" after you do, which my kids love and join in on.

4. It has a volume adjustment. (Parents always LOVE to be able to control the volume a bit!)

5. It is little! I love that it is little, which means my 2-year old can pack it around easily and it doesn't take up much room on a shelf.

What I'd like better:

1. The birthday song is instrumental and it is just plain too fast for its target audience (approx. 1-4 yr. olds) to keep up with as they try to sing along. When we sing for birthdays at our house, we always slow down/pause slightly after saying the name, before singing the final "Happy birthday to you." (Most people I know do the same thing.) In the instrumental melody the cake plays, not only is it too fast all the way through, but it doesn't slow down or pause at all at that point in the song. I wish it did and I think it'd be better if the whole song was slowed down a bit. The little ones would be able to sing along with it better.

2. I actually like that there is an instrumental version of the bday song, but I think the toy would be better if there was also an option to have the bday song with KIDS singing. Of course, they wouldn't be able to sing a name, but they could hum in that spot, then finish the song. I say KIDS, because my children (and I think most are the same) much prefer their music and musical toys that have kids voices singing over the ones that have grown-ups voices doing the singing. Plus, I think with kids singing, the song would've been recorded at a more appropriate speed for little ones to sing along with.

3. To me it's a little odd that the "cake" is blue. (I know, it could be blue frosting!) This is not really important and I know kids couldn't care less, but just to me personally, I'd have liked it better if the cake was yellow.

Overall though, I think this is a very cool, fun little toy.

I found this toy and wanted to get it for my son's 1st birthday. It arrived just in time and we had a lot of fun preparing him for all the singing at his party (which, in our family, kids tend to cry at big groups singing to them). He loved pushing the balloon and star buttons to "count" to 5, play more songs, hear quirky sounds, and he even started to understand that he can "blow out" the candles (a very cool/fun feature)! The concept is very cute, it teaches children to count and understand what they can expect at their birthday party. The candles actually "glow" with the lights flickering. Also, the flames are coated with a rubberized material ...my son wanted to chew them a bit, but it's very durable. Speaking of durability, he pushed this toy off of our dining table multiple times and the thing keeps on going! I highly recommend this toy for multiple reasons and want to add that, just like my subject line, it's NOT just for birthdays! I think he will enjoy playing with it for years to come. I think I might put it away in a few months so we can bring it back out prior to his 2nd birthday next June so he can build up the fun and excitement all over again!

Even my 6 and 5 year old love this toy. I bought this for my 1 yr old's first birthday and I can't keep my older boys from playing with it! Even adults find themselves entertained with blowing out the candles. The only problem it does take a pretty good force to blow out the candles, a feat my 1 yr old has yet to accomplish. I don't leave reviews often but this one is worth a little of my time! I was searching other things on Amazon when this adorable Leapfrog Birthday Cake toy popped up! I'd never seen it before and once I read the description and reviews, I immediately bought it. And I'm so glad I did! As my title states, someone was using their brain when they designed this toy for a baby/toddler! Not only is it cute and unique but the educational value and functionality is great! My daughter just turned 13 months and I think, this is the best money spent on a toy so far! And for $15it's a STEAL!

Children my daughter's age and younger like to press buttons. We have other toys, many Leapfrog, with the star button and others. Often, when they press the buttons, it interupts and re-starts whatever it's doing. This one actually encourages pressing the buttons during the song! It's fun to watch my daughter light up the candles, and as she does so, the nice voice (some are annoying) speaks loudly, clearly, and at a pace to learn counting! It does more than we've played with yet (which is even cooler) but just the basic functionlighting the candles, singing the song, and blowing out the candles it super funI enjoy playing with this toy along with my daughter!

Her eyes light up when the candles do. She listens to the counting. She dances to the song. She likes to press the buttons...and she actually started trying to blow out the candles for the first time yesterday! She'd been watching me blow out the candles and my husband and I were just thrilled to watch her actually try (she doesn't understand yet that she needs to get closer to blow them out).

I would buy this again if it breaks or if I have another baby down the road. Great birthday gift too! ENJOY!!!

Wonderworld Natural Shape Sorter

Normally I really love Wonderworld products but the design on this one doesn't seem very well thought out. If your child puts the shapes in the back of the sorter first, the circle & the "L" shape in the picture, they slide to the front due to the slanted base which then blocks the two front blocks, the triangle & square, from being able to fall through their slots. This results in a very frustrated toddler, who knows she's correctly matched up the shapes to their corresponding slots but can't figure out why they won't fit in. This would not be a problem if the company had either: A. not made the box slanted or B. made the box a bit taller so that all the pieces could fit through their slots even if another shape is underneath where that one needs to go in.

I bought this for my Grandson's 1st birthday and when we took the shaped blocks out of the inside the top fell right through to the bottom. The four pegs holding it up are too short so it does not hold the top up so that a child can try to fit the blocks in the holes. I ordered a second one and the pegs were even shorter so the top part fell right to the bottomn again. Great idea but poor craftsmanship.

Leapfrog Alphabet Pal - Green

We just bought this for our nephew, age 3. It teaches not only the letters, but the sounds each letter makes. It was very fun and entertaining for our niece, age 1, who "previewed" it today. I wish this toy had been around when my kids were getting ready for kindergarten. Also has a song for each key and teaches colors, too. Fantastic educational value.

We had the older version where the individual legs moved (like the purple one) and had to replace it because another kid really liked the toy and we gave it to them.

Why this rules 26 songs, letters, learn colors, learn the alphabet song. It talks. It keeps my child entertained. 2 volume settings. Very durable. My kid has dropped it off the coffee table multiple times and dragged it everywhere. It rolls smoothly on carpet or on hardwood. Bright colors. Voice is at a comfortable pitch.

There's been several different upgrades since the original one it no longer spells out "words" it used to when you put the letters together. The new one has a softer more "velvety" feel. It's smaller. Everything about it is the same.

This was the first gift my 2 year old opened on Christmas morning and it was also the last. He played with it instead of opening his other gifts... practically had to bribe him to eventually open gifts later in the day! This toy stays out all the time and he LOVES to push the buttons and hear the letters. He already knows most of the letters and this just reinforces that knowledge when he plays with it!

My son has the green version of this toy and I am very impressed on the durability of it and the educational value of it. My son loves the music setting on it and presses the buttons all the time. He is only 13 months so he doesn't get the concept of it yet but still loves it just the same. Also if any of the other parents haven't figured it out (thanks to my sons father) in the setting where it sounds out the different letters it will not allow you to spell out any bad words. I think that is great! I can't believe that the manufacturers thought of that. I would get this for any child!!

Please don't think that if you get this for your kids they won't have any pain at all. That isn't the case. These blocks are beautifully crafted, heirloom quality, and will last generations. Although expensive, you get what you pay for. Edges are slightly rounded, paint colors are bright and the finish is tough and durable. The patterns and colors engage my 18 month old grand-daughter in gleeful play. The animal theme is of interest to her and she loves playing with the various animal blocks. We name the animals and make the appropriate animal sounds. I purchased all three sets of Zoolino: Mini, Maxi and Zoolino. HABA is one of my favorite brands. I can always count on HABA's quality, beautiful craftsmanship, engaging designs and educational value. would recommend this product.

Gund Auggie Doggie Small-Pink

The picture online is the stuffed dog we wanted to replace (the same one that our daughter has had for over 3 years). The one that came, however, is much bigger, although she likes that one as well. The initial Gund dog she got is about 6-7 inches long (and the one in the picture). The one we got is about 4 times as large, and is clearly different as it has a tongue. Still my daughter is happy with her new dog.

This was the perfect size, color, and of course it was a Gund. I will not buy another product in stuffed animals. Gund is the best!!

Fisher-Price Discover 'n Grow Open Play Musical Gym

We used this mat for about three weeks. At first it was fantastic. The baby was learning to grasp and spent a good amount of time staring at the various characters. We loved the wide variety of things to play with and that you could move them around so it always stayed fresh. Unfortunately, the two arms that are supposed to suspend the toys began to sag and the toys were on the mat two weeks later. The baby no longer had room on the mat because the arms blocked the space and the toys were too low to see. Because we loved the mat, we called Fisher Price to figure out if there was some kind of support we could rig to get the arms to stand up again, but no luck. Their customer service immediately offered to allow us to return it. Although I appreciate that they'll send a postage paid label, I still have to find a box large enough to ship this. Then it's 6-8 weeks for the refund. In the meantime I guess I'm shelling out more money for a new mat.

Love this gym! My 3 month old will stare at it for minutes (which is hours for an infant). Another reviewer pointed out that the two overhangs are low I've found this is not an issue if you lay your child in the middle and slightly lower than the bars she loves it. Great Fischer-Price product!

What I love most about this gym unlike the typical full overhead gyms this gym will still be used once the baby is sitting up. Most overhead gyms are relegated to the basement after the baby is mobile (according to my friends with older kids). A friend of mine with a one year old who's overhead gym is in her basement came over for a playdate. The one year old enjoyed sitting and playing with this gym (especially the mirror).

Once baby is strong enough to reach up and pull down on the toys dangling from the giraffe and palm tree arms in the back, they do not return to their upright positions. They're very weak, so once this happens, the toys are literally laying on the mat where the baby is supposed to lay. Poor design, and way too much money to pay for 2 weeks of fun before it gives out. Not to mention, the whole thing is on a fixed plastic square, so there's no way to store it. It doesn't fold up or get any smaller. It takes up valuable real estate on your floor 24/7 until you get rid of it.

The giraffe and palm tree arms in this musical gym are very weak. They can not hold the weight of the toys that the gym comes with. I have attempted to straighten the arms many times, but they continue to bent back really low. If no toys are attached, they stay up straight. If toys are left hanging on the arms, they hit the baby in the face/head.

Aside from the arms, the individual toys and the gym is entertaining for my 3 months old little girl. She enjoys the music and the variety of colors.

My family owned this game when I was a small child. I have fond memories playing it with my Dad as a little girl, with my teenage friends in high school, and with my fiance when I was in college. IT IS THE PERFECT GAME FOR ANY AGE!! Recently on the search for family oriented games that I can play with MY children, I told my Mom, "What I really need is a game like downfall. They don't make games like that anymore." Well guess what? They do! This is a remade version of the original we owned. My Mom got it for us for Christmas! We love it! I can play it with my four and six year old children, or with my husband. It is intelligent enough for adults, simple enough for kids! I love that it is SHORT. No frustrating moving back and forth in candyland or counting spaces that my two yr old doesnt understand. This is a fantastic game to play with children that isnt exhausting! It fits my kids' attention span (and my patience). Easily a 10 minute game.

RULES: move one wheel one direction. Get all of your disks to the bottom. Easy, right? Even my two year old likes to turn the wheels and watch the disks fall into their slots. With her, I just use one side and let her turn the wheels until they reach the bottom. My 4 and 6 yr old can play the full version of the game easily, with me on one side and them on the other, both of us trying to get our disks to the bottom first. They delight in watching their disks drop and move as I turn the wheel on my side. It is especially educational for young children, as they have to use the key to turn the wheels and line up the disks, thinking through how to get them all to the bottom. And for adults, its just simple FUN! You never know where your opponent is at with their disks, and as you move your wheel, you might be helping or hindering their progress. FUN FUN FUN FOR ANY AGE!!!!

I was wondering if the new version would be as sturdy as the old, and I have to admit, it is NOT. I wish the stand was sturdier. They keys and disks and wheels themselves work great, my only complaint is that the tower itself needs a stronger base; it feels like it will tip if my kids push on it too hard. So I hold it for them. Adults shouldnt have problems though.

BOOK: Animal World

This is a nice book. Both my two year old son and I like it a lot. It has the normal animals like DOG and LION, but also unexpected animals like DINGO. It shows the animals according to their habitat and you can hear the animals' names and their actual sounds, plus extra miscellaneous activities.

I bought the Animal family photos for my granddaughter at the time she was one. The first attraction was the animal sounds, then she was relating the animals to the sounds they make to identifing the animal by name. My granddaughter is two now and she sure knows her animals. The little tidbits about the animals are good and easy for little ones to understand. Of course she has her favorite animals she loves to listen too. Like all of LeapFrog products, this too is great!

This is one of those toys the little ones love. Their parents don't love it as much. My little one-year-old friend bops and dances and loves it. His mother thinks that's just awesome. His dad is annoyed with the annoying music. Sooner or later, his mom will be annoyed, too. I would buy this for someone else's child. Especially the child of someone who had bought something similar for my child.

I had high hopes when I bought this because my twins were just getting into toys that made sounds and they were really actively playing with similar toys. Unfortunately, they could care less about this one and it just sits on the floor.

The upside is that I would go crazy if they did like it because the sounds are very annoying. The best way to descrive the sounds would be to imagine a slot machine at a casino...fine when you are in Vegas but not the nursery. Also, this thing eats batteries fast.

Every child is different and you may find this to be a great toy, but I do not recommend it based on my experience.

we attach it to the stroller, the car seat, the activity mat. our baby loves the rattling feet and the mirror. we think its just hysterical!

This green little monster is so cute! My daughter loves the jingly legs and mirror. It's on the large side for hanging on the carseat, but its great for attaching to the shopping cart for keeping your little one occupied. It is expensive considering you can get most Lamaze stroller toys for around half the price, but its cute and my daughter loves it so I'd probably buy it again :)

I bought 3 different kushies zolo toys for my daughter back at Christmas. Thankfully I found them on another website for half the price or I never would have gotten them. When ever we take them out and about with us we always get comments. They are perfect for hanging on the diaper bag, probably a little large for the car seat. My daughter really likes to run around with one or two of these though she mostly likes to undo the velcro. The mirror on the green one got scratched up pretty fast, but that makes sense because its a toy for babies, they couldn't use a real mirror. My daughter somehow managed to rip the threads out of the purple octopus-y ones mouth also. We really love the orange one the laughing noise it makes when hit is just adorable.

Over all, I'm not sure these are worth the price listed on amazon. They are great toys and would make a special gift for a little one, but look around for a better price!

So cute, got it for son when he was 4 months and he immediately took to it. At 6 months he likes to sit in his crib and talk to it. He also chews it like crazy, he's just popped his first teeth. So it's a friend you can both teeth and talk with. Super.
