Buy Skunk Infant / Toddler Costume Now
I bought this costume for my 2 year old. He looks adorable! The material is thin and the white "fur" sheds a bit, but it looks like it will handle our Halloween season alright. Fits my 2 year old well, might be too small if your child is closer to the size 4 of the 2-4 sizing. This was the cutest costume I ever seen. I purchased for my son that is 14 months. He had so many compliments nor did anyone else have one like it. The picture appears that it is fur but it is actually velvet. I didn't think I would like it while it was in the package but once I put it on him he was the cutest skunk ever. Also the fit was perfect. Very well made and runs a bit big, so you may be able to squeeze two seasons out of it. Not recommended if you are in a year round warm climate, as it will keep baby cozy! Big, big hit with neighborhood kids and parents!Tuesday, July 1, 2014

Leapfrog Counting Candles Birthday Cake
What I like:
1. You press the button and each time you do, a candle lights up. So, you can light just one candle, or two, or all five...it's up to you. When you have the number of candles lit that you want, just wait a second and if you don't press the button again, the bday song will start. My two year old likes to press it until all 5 candles are lit (even though she is 2!), and she counts out loud along with the little voice coming from the cake.
2. It's cool that while the song is playing, you can press the buttons to hear cool sounds and fun melodic variations thrown in. I love that if my daughter starts pushing buttons during the song, it just adds to the fun of the song, but finishes! I get so tired of toys where a push of a button stops something right in the middle to go on to something else! Little kids love pushing buttons over and over, so I think whoever designed this, did it RIGHT! Thank you!
3. The best thing about the cake is that you can actually "blow out" the candles (via a little grouping of holes in the middle of the cake). And the cake says "Yay!!" after you do, which my kids love and join in on.
4. It has a volume adjustment. (Parents always LOVE to be able to control the volume a bit!)
5. It is little! I love that it is little, which means my 2-year old can pack it around easily and it doesn't take up much room on a shelf.
What I'd like better:
1. The birthday song is instrumental and it is just plain too fast for its target audience (approx. 1-4 yr. olds) to keep up with as they try to sing along. When we sing for birthdays at our house, we always slow down/pause slightly after saying the name, before singing the final "Happy birthday to you." (Most people I know do the same thing.) In the instrumental melody the cake plays, not only is it too fast all the way through, but it doesn't slow down or pause at all at that point in the song. I wish it did and I think it'd be better if the whole song was slowed down a bit. The little ones would be able to sing along with it better.
2. I actually like that there is an instrumental version of the bday song, but I think the toy would be better if there was also an option to have the bday song with KIDS singing. Of course, they wouldn't be able to sing a name, but they could hum in that spot, then finish the song. I say KIDS, because my children (and I think most are the same) much prefer their music and musical toys that have kids voices singing over the ones that have grown-ups voices doing the singing. Plus, I think with kids singing, the song would've been recorded at a more appropriate speed for little ones to sing along with.
3. To me it's a little odd that the "cake" is blue. (I know, it could be blue frosting!) This is not really important and I know kids couldn't care less, but just to me personally, I'd have liked it better if the cake was yellow.
Overall though, I think this is a very cool, fun little toy.I found this toy and wanted to get it for my son's 1st birthday. It arrived just in time and we had a lot of fun preparing him for all the singing at his party (which, in our family, kids tend to cry at big groups singing to them). He loved pushing the balloon and star buttons to "count" to 5, play more songs, hear quirky sounds, and he even started to understand that he can "blow out" the candles (a very cool/fun feature)! The concept is very cute, it teaches children to count and understand what they can expect at their birthday party. The candles actually "glow" with the lights flickering. Also, the flames are coated with a rubberized material ...my son wanted to chew them a bit, but it's very durable. Speaking of durability, he pushed this toy off of our dining table multiple times and the thing keeps on going! I highly recommend this toy for multiple reasons and want to add that, just like my subject line, it's NOT just for birthdays! I think he will enjoy playing with it for years to come. I think I might put it away in a few months so we can bring it back out prior to his 2nd birthday next June so he can build up the fun and excitement all over again!

Even my 6 and 5 year old love this toy. I bought this for my 1 yr old's first birthday and I can't keep my older boys from playing with it! Even adults find themselves entertained with blowing out the candles. The only problem it does take a pretty good force to blow out the candles, a feat my 1 yr old has yet to accomplish. A great toy nonetheless!Read Best Reviews of Leapfrog Counting Candles Birthday Cake Here
I purchased this item as a gift for a child in my daycare . The minute I saw it I new she had to have it.Small children are fasinated by candles & the excitement of blowing them out & of course love to sing the birthday song.
I wish the song wasn't music only it would have been nice to have vocals on it to encourage singing more.
Overall great product works well & durable :)

I don't leave reviews often but this one is worth a little of my time! I was searching other things on Amazon when this adorable Leapfrog Birthday Cake toy popped up! I'd never seen it before and once I read the description and reviews, I immediately bought it. And I'm so glad I did! As my title states, someone was using their brain when they designed this toy for a baby/toddler! Not only is it cute and unique but the educational value and functionality is great! My daughter just turned 13 months and I think, this is the best money spent on a toy so far! And for $15it's a STEAL!Children my daughter's age and younger like to press buttons. We have other toys, many Leapfrog, with the star button and others. Often, when they press the buttons, it interupts and re-starts whatever it's doing. This one actually encourages pressing the buttons during the song! It's fun to watch my daughter light up the candles, and as she does so, the nice voice (some are annoying) speaks loudly, clearly, and at a pace to learn counting! It does more than we've played with yet (which is even cooler) but just the basic functionlighting the candles, singing the song, and blowing out the candles it super funI enjoy playing with this toy along with my daughter!
Her eyes light up when the candles do. She listens to the counting. She dances to the song. She likes to press the buttons...and she actually started trying to blow out the candles for the first time yesterday! She'd been watching me blow out the candles and my husband and I were just thrilled to watch her actually try (she doesn't understand yet that she needs to get closer to blow them out).
I would buy this again if it breaks or if I have another baby down the road. Great birthday gift too! ENJOY!!!

B. Alphaberry - Sea
We hoped that over time it would help to familiarize her with the alphabet, but NEVER did we expect it to teach her the whole alphabet. Six months after she got the toy, she started pointing at signs and shouting out letters when we'd take her shopping. We decided to "test" her at home by simply writing the alphabet on a piece of paper and she would and does name every letter as it's written. Since nineteen months old! The double-takes we get from strangers when she calls out letters in public are priceless. She is 23 months old now, and starting to recognize words in her favorite books.
The only problem is that this toy only covers uppercase letters. Maybe B Toys can come up with a software upgrade...
If you're looking to buy one, here's how it works. When you push one of the letters, it says the letter aloud in a clear child's voice and also displays it on the screen. The large button to the left of the screen plays four different versions of the alphabet song I believe two singing, two just instrumental. The screen also displays the appropriate letters as the song plays. There is an on/off switch and a volume control (which I feel would be better if it weren't so easy for little hands to control because it can get quite speaker-bustingly loud, but that's me). I didn't know until I read another review today that you can change the color on the display by turning the "handles" on the sides of the thing, but you can!
HIGHLY Recommended!I have bought many different toys the last couple years. They all seem to be about the same as far as innovation, but this toy and brand really stand out. I bought mine at target for quite a bit less than here. This would be a great gift for older infants and toddlers. Each letter of the alphabet plays a different tune (not sure how many songs are included, but it's certainly nicer than other toys as far as the music it plays) and it sings the alphabet song while flashing the letters on the small screen. There is a neat volume control and the things that look like buttons on the side are actually a big dial that changes the display color from blue to red to orange. If you are remotely interested in this product I say buy it. I noticed on the display several other stand out products. They sell a set of keys (same brand) that are really neat and their version of the cell phone is much nicer than the couple I have purchased. This toy company is doing it right. I have only had this toy one night so I can't make comment about its durability, but every part seems solid.

This toy is fantastic. My daughter is 11 months and needed something more interactive. I am reluctant to get her electronic toys but thought this was worth a shot. She loves it! She quickly figured out which key plays songs, took her a little while longer to figure out to stop pushing it so the song would play all the way. It's been fun for me to see her learning to use the toy. The songs it plays (4, I think) are sweet and not annoying. It has a volume switch and an on/off switch (which I don't use as she'd be too disappointed to try to play the music and have it not play).Want B. Alphaberry - Sea Discount?
We were about to go on our first long road trip last weekend, and I wanted to get our son a new toy to hopefully help with the long ride. I picked up two toys by this brand and chose this one because of the age range (we all want to get more use for the money, right?). We also didn't have any other toys with letters other than the Zaney Zoo Wooden Activity Cube (same brand as this). Our son is 14 months old and is absolutely enamored by this toy. It kept him occupied for nearly 3 hours, and I thought he would surely be sick of it after that, but no! Every time he sees it, he wants to play with it.He has already thrown it on the ground and other than some scratches, which are to be expected, everything still works like new.
My 8-year-old niece saw the toy and thought it was neat as well. She even recognized it as a Blackberry-esque toy.
A+ for this toy. (And thank you, B. Toys for the subdued volume level. My ears -and my son's ears -thank you!)

Kido Go Car
The end of the box states "1+", and really it would be ideal for any toddler or preschooler, but if you have a crawler who is beginning to manipulate things well with his hands, I think this car will be a good one to grow into. My grandson will be seven months at Christmas, and he is really getting around. The car may be a bit big for his little hands, but it isn't too heavy, and it rolls so well, that I am sure he will be able to get the thing going. I am looking forward to seeing his face when he realizes what a thing with wheels can do!
As far as other suggestions--I also bought the truck by the same company, and have written a review. Others I am considering are Sassy Pop and Push Car, and the Green Toys vehicles made in the USA from recycled milk cartons. I hope this helps.I don't like toys that beep, sign, yell, talk, make noise in general. I also don't like cars/trucks/vehicles with faces. Call me old fashioned but I wanted a durable, basic car for my son that was not sponsored by an animation company or that yelled obnoxious comments. Both my son and I love this toy. It is simple. I love the color. He loves the handle. Works well on carpet as well as linoleum. I will be giving this as a gift!I don't know if I got a lemon, but the wheels were so stiff that the toy doesn't really roll (even with some serious pushing) so it just doesn't work as a car. Paper weight, maybe. But, since I live indoors and don't have a problem with wind blowing papers around, I returned it.
(It's so cute, though, I might try ordering it again in the hopes that the next one will actually work as a car.)I bought this as a gift for another little boy since my son has had one for a year now and he seems to like it. My son is a little over the age of one. There's nothing special about it exactly. It's a car. It has a handle. It does seem to be made well and it has put up with some abuse. I am not sure it's worth the money since it's so simple, but I guess the cost is related to the quality. I like it since it's simple enough that it doesn't require adult assistance, and yet engaging enough that a child will continue to play with it.A lot of toy cars are for kids over 3 so this is a great option for younger toddlers. It is very cute, the colors are very bright, and the car rolls very well on carpet and hardwood floors. My son seems to like it and I like that it is not flashy and does not have unnecessary cartoon characters drawn on it.

I'M SO SOFT & CUDDLY BABY DOLL MACHINE WASHABLE SIZE 12"

Fisher-Price Meet Abby Singing Abby with Dvd
Buy Fisher-Price Meet Abby Singing Abby with Dvd Now
My daughter got this as a birthday gift for her 2nd birthday. She has been fascinated since Abby's arrival on Sesame Street, so when I saw that this toy was a talking doll that came with a dvd and was reasonably priced, I knew I couldn't go wrong. She loves it! It is well constructed. She can squeeze the belly on her own and have Abby say about four phrases, which are cute and funny and honestly, I don't find them irritating at all. The volume level of Abby's voice isn't loud as some toys can be. It's cute, a good size for her to tuck under her arm and carry with her as she often does, and well, still a month later she loves it and Abby is still holding strong. Great toy and well worth the $. The dvd is short, and it's just an intro into Abby's arrival on Sesame Street. Maybe about 20 minutes long? Still cute and worth the $ and a great investment. Well constructed and a fun new character to add to the loveable gang on Sesame Street. :)One note on rating I did rate the educational value fairly high because I feel that imaginative play is important for kids, and this definitely does encourage plenty of it.

I gave this to my 3-year old granddaughter who loves Abby...by squeezing her stomach she says different "Abby" expressions. She is light and soft, and I recommend her for a younger child as well. She comes with a DVD which she hasn't played as yet,so I can't review, but just the fact that the sound is so clear and she is soft and cuddly would have been enough without the dvd!My daughter got this for Christmas and Abby instantly became her favorite. She sounds just like the character does on tv, says several short phrases and sings a song. My daughter is 2 and is able to activate the voice part by herself (some toys are too hard for her to squeeze) and the sound is not make-you-deaf loud like some toys. The only complaint I have is that the wand came off and I had to sew it back onto her hand. However, considering how much love this Abby is getting I shouldn't complain! She is also the perfect size for my 2 year old to carry around (which she does, all the time!). As far as being educational, this toy certainly is encouraging imaginative play which is very important in the development of small children. My daughter loves to pretend that she is also a "fairy-in-training" even to point of insisting that she wears her hair the same way!Wednesday, January 8, 2014

I love this doll! Originally, I bought it for the Christmas shoebox drive at our church. The skin tone and hair color made it extremely versatile no matter what country it would be sent to. Unfortunately, I ordered too late and missed the deadline to include it in my box.So I gave it to my daughter for her first birthday. I love that the hair is made from fabric and not yarn, as my daughter likes to chew on things and yarn has a tendency to shred. I love that the features are embroidered, as buttons may eventually fall off and be swallowed. I love the dress. I love the hair ribbons. I wish I was little again, just so I could have this adorable doll! :)

I bought this gift for my 18 month old granddaughter. She loves playing "house" and needed a doll for her to play with that was the perfect size. This doll has no HARD plastic parts and it is SO soft and adorable. The making of this doll is acurate and has bright colors. She just loves this doll and plays with it with her doll stroller, high chair, etc. This line of dolls could be used as collectors for older girls.Want Aurora Plush Baby 10 inches Grace Doll Discount?
We bought this 'Grace' and the 'Sierra' doll for our 1 year old. I am happy with both purchases. Love the price. The decoration on one of Sierra's shoes has already come off (have had dolls 4 weeks maybe) and don't know where it is to glue back on. But, the dolls have tons of charm. Love the diversity and our caucasian girl loves multi-cultural friends. Our son is medically complex so we gave Grace a trach and a g-tube (easy to place around neck and in tummy) so I would recommend that idea to anyone who wants further diversification!!
I wouldn't say as an earlier reviewer did that the dolls are cheap looking. I consider my standards high and thought they were great in meeting my expectations. I just bought our daughter a Fisher Price walker/stroller for dolls that I think is just the right size for these.

Learning Curve Disney Pooh Waterfall Stackers
Colorful, friendly faces and makes my daughter happy! Will make bath time much more fun for her, she loves Pooh & Friends! These are so cute but the reservoir is so shallow that it can't hold enough water to make the internal parts work. I very slowly drizzle a cup of water over it to make the pooh wheel spin. The Eyore does nothing and the elephant character has water come out it's trunk but this is to subtle to hold my toddlers attention. If the reservoir on top were deeper my son could do it on his own.

Fisher-Price: Elmo's Musical Sing and Teach Gym
I gave it 4 stars because the hanging toys could be much improved. They don't rattle when baby bats at them, and it's not easy for baby to activate the music and sounds by playing with them. They really need to pulled/pushed a certain way to get them to work. (I also wish it had a foot pad for my daughter to kick to get the music going, but I knew when I bought it that it didn't have this feature so that's not a reason for the 4 star rating.) Overall construction quality seems good (we've only had it for 2 days, though!).
I also like the fact that it has lots of buttons to push for when baby gets older and can sit in front of the gym and play. All in all, I'm happy with this gym and would recommend it to others! My five-month-old has been enjoying this toy for two months now. It's lots of fun. She can reach the toys easily and it makes her smile, laugh and kick. The only drawback is that it is LOUD, so loud that the music almost sounds distorted. It would be perfect if it just had a volume control.

It's a shame to see such negative reviews for this item because my son loves it. I got it for him when he was 4 mos old and the lay down mode worked perfectly for him. Now at 5 1/2 months old he is sitting up and he loves it even more. He stays entertained with this toy than any other one that I have. I'm sure you all realize when you use the sit up mode, you need to take the hanging parts off that you would use if using the lying down mode. We made that mistake, keeping them on and then the seating up mode did not work, but once you take the hanging pieced off, they work fine. We really enjoy this toy.Read Best Reviews of Fisher-Price: Elmo's Musical Sing and Teach Gym Here
My 8 month old son absolutely adores this toy, but he turned over to crawl away with the arch down and it caught his foot between it and the little bit of a base that it has. His foot had to be pushed to the side and then removed. His similar Aquarium of Wonders toy has s large enough space to prevent this. He also pulls up to stand and as this toy has no platform it has started to topple over under his 18 pounds (his Aquarium. . .has a platform and we have had no problems and we have caught him and the toy and prevented an actual fall). We have taken the toy from him and we are going to try to take it back to Toys R Us.Want Fisher-Price: Elmo's Musical Sing and Teach Gym Discount?

He asked for this for Christmas. He loved it!! Mimi is always happy when I can give the grands something they want.It was a gift for my grandson and they live in Japan.....he is also turning one so to get an answer if he likes his gift... each picture they send to us back home he has his monkey with him in his hands.I actually bought this for my fiance. We LOVE monkeys, as he was born the Year of the Monkey. This "toy" does not get played with, but has a place in our bed. It is extremely soft and cuddly. If we had a child, this would definitely be a perfect cuddler for him/her.
