I wanted to get a pink snuffles for my newborn daughter... because I had one when I was little in the 80's! Her name was bubble gum, and she was thrown out by my parents due to a flood a couple years ago. I was so excited to find a brand new one on amazon... gund finally came out with pink again! It is super soft and adorable! Now my sweetie has her own bubble gum! (these are hard to find, especially in the large 9" size in pink)

Not complaining, just noting the difference. The plush is different, more washable though. . . I think the 'regular' plush would get goo'ed up quickly and be difficult to clean. . . so this makes sense they altered it a bit for baby.

We first found the Gund Snuffles 23 years ago at Sach's on Union Square. It was adorable. My daughter took it with her everywhere she went (and she's now 24). I was very excited to find it available online and ordered two as gifts. I couldn't believe what came out of the box. The workmanship and materials were so much less than I remember. I really adore this doll and so does my eight month old daughter. It's a really nice size and she loves to chew on the knot on the cap and on the hands and feet, then cuddle the soft velour body as she sleeps. The fact that there's no stuffing in the body makes her especially cuddly.

The only thing that disappointed me, though I admit my daughter really doesn't care, is that the doll that was sent to me is different than the one pictured. Ours has a brightly colored polka dot hat and collar which I don't care for. The one pictured is much more subtle and the pattern seems to go better with the pale pink velour. But all in all, not a big deal and I'm sure she will be loved and cuddled for years to come.

Wooden Trio Bongo Drum

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the quality of this drum. I realize it is a child's toy, however you may as well be beating on a wood floor for the sound that it delivers. The art work on it is colorful & cute. Certainly not worth the price, as far as I'm concerned.

Tolo Activity Stackers

I got this because I love the Tolo activity sorter so much. I wasn't disappointed! These are nice and large and easy for my son to handle, there aren't so many cups that you lose pieces everywhere, and I love that they're bright and easy to identify colors. (This last part might sound crazy but you try teaching colors when your child holds up something that is yellow-green or magenta). I love the paddle wheel, but my 18 month old isn't quite ready to operate it himself. The magnifying glass clear piece will also probably be a hit when he's older.

I bought this for my baby boy who has been teething on and off for the past 8 months. Before I got this necklace he was in what seemed like intolerable pain that I couldn't do much to help. A friend of mine had bought amber necklaces for her two kids and recommended that I try one for my son. So, I did some reading about the historical use of amber for teething and found that it has been used throughout Europe for centuries and decided to try it.

Please don't think that if you get this for your kids they won't have any pain at all. That isn't the case. My son is still teething and he is clearly uncomfortable at the height of it, however, he seems to be in much less pain than before. He doesn't cry or whine as much as he did and he seems to be able to tolerate what pain he has much more than previously.

I was a bit apprehensive about putting a necklace on my son, but it is so close fitting around his neck that it is covered up most of the time by his clothes and when it isn't he mostly looks like a little surfer.

Yes, I recommend this item to anyone with teething kids.

Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals Snail

My 15-month old enjoys playing with this. She mainly wants to hear the alphabet song and doesn't press the individual letter/color buttons very often. It's small enough for my child to carry easily, and the wheels roll well even on carpet. I wish it had more letters than A-D, but as my child gets older we will find other ways to encorporate learning the alphabet. Also, if you press the same button multiple times, it says something different. I.e. if you press the yellow button once, it will say the letter, but the second time you press it it will say 'yellow.'

My kid doesn't really like to push it around she just liked the buttons and would bop around to the alphabet song. I don't find it annoying at all. When she could walk I tied a ribbon around it to make it a pull along toy and now she likes that it has wheels. This isn't a toy she plays with EVERY day but she likes it well enough that I'm glad we bought it for her. I know there is a similar toy that is a turtle and I thought it was cuter but the reviews said the song was obnoxious and would last forever. I picked this one from the reviews and I'm glad I did. I think it's cuter that the picture shows and I like the song on it.

I chose this toy for it's educational value, seemed durable and buttons are easy to push. It sings the ABC song, states a few primary colors and the first A-D of the alphabet. Our 9 month old granddaughter loves toys that produces music. At 9 months old, I feel she will still choose this toy when a toddler. Highly recommend!

My daughter played with this toy for 10 minutes when she first got it at 6 months old. Never gave it the time of day after that. I would however attribute that to her huge collection of light up toy that sing. This one is just the most boring out of the bunch. I believe that if she had half the amount of toys she may have wanted to play with it. Now 8.5 months old she looks at it, grabs it, puts it in her mouth, then drops it and turns the other way. I thought it was $10 gift when I received it. I can't believe they want more than double that retail. Not worth it and did not get my daughters attention.

My daughter received both this and the turtle exactly like this as gifts at approx 14 months of age. She likes to push cars so we thought she would love these. Initially she liked these but now they are boring to her. The buttons don't really do much and the same song plays over and over again. She has toys that do a lot more/play a wider variety of melodies, (which are actually less expensive) that have kept her attention. Both the turtle and the snail have been dropped and thrown and are still in great condition so I feel they are pretty durable.

Safety 1st Sounds n Lights Discovery Walker, Dino

My son loves this walker. It took him a day or so to get the idea and start moving his feet, but now he is zipping around our house.

I like that the toys can swing out, which leaves you with a fairly good sized tray for snacks. The tray is also deep enough that my son can move his cereal around without knocking it out of the tray. The toys are ok. They don't seem to be super high quality, but they provide a little bit of extra stimulation. Most of the appeal, though, seems to be in the freedom that it provides for my son.

The safety grips on the bottom of the walker seem to work well. For example, the walker won't go over our flooring thresholds because they are too high. However, I would note that we only have hard surface flooring in our home, and we don't have any stairs.

*Update 12/14/10* My son is 11 months now, and he still enjoys his walker. However, there is no seatbelt in the walker, and he has figured out that if he grabs onto things, then he can pull himself up to stand in (or on) the walker. This has become a big safety issue, so I wanted to note the lack of a seatbelt for other parents with climbers (or future climbers).

Like any first time parents, we wanted a walker for our baby in hopes he'll learn to walk soon. It was hard to decide on one as there was no reference on what the minimum height should be and I was worried that our boy is still too early for a walker. So for your reference, our baby is about 3.5 months, and 2 feet tall when we purchased this walker. With the lowest setting, he is still not able to reach the ground. However, we were able to make some adjustments to it to make it lowered so that his feet can now reach the ground and he is able to push himself backwards.

The toys on the tray are ok. I thought they were a bit simple and not very entertaining: the bear at the end flashes a red light and plays 3 different sounds, the palm tree has rotating mirrors, the dinosaur turns and clicks, the yellow ball spins with tiny balls inside so it also makes noise, and a red plastic toy tied to the tray and our boy ends up just putting it in his mouth. I liked how the toys has its own tray and you are able to move them to the side so you can use the tray for snacks or other toys.

The only thing we didn't like about this walker is the design of the seat. The two holes for his legs are way in front where his legs dangle instead of allowing him to stand up and move freely. I hope they will reconsider the design to either make the leg holes wider or move it to the middle of the seat more.

Overall, this is walker is affordable, simple to use and set up, slides effortlessly on hardwood floor, and great for travel as the seat can be lowered to flatten. Also, the cloth seat is removable for washing when it gets soiled. It's a good buy!

Originally, I gave this walker only 2 stars stating "We have a 7 1/2 month old baby girl who is starting to pull up and can stand on her own...The leg holes in the seat are at the front instead of the middle, forcing the baby into a sitting, rather than standing position. My baby girl will be walking on her own without the need for a walker by the time that she's tall enough to touch the floor while sitting in this product."

What I didn't realize a week ago is that she had to learn how to stand up in the walker instead of use the seat, and that the walker is not too tall for her (she's between 26 and 27 inches tall). She's still not quite walking, but the walker will allow her to do so when she figures it out. While this design was frustrating at first, it allows your child to sit when they tire of standing. After understanding how the seat works, I consider it an innovation rather than a shortcoming. The way the two sections of toys swivel out of the way to reveal a tray underneath is pretty neat as well.

I stand by my original statement, "The walker is a great value, well constructed, and the toys are great."

I bought this for my almost 4 month son who has been really trying to stand and tensing his legs. I pondered a stationary exersaucer vs. walker. I decided on this walker because it got a couple of good reviews and I wanted something that would fit two purposes, stationary entertainment and walking practice when he is older. My son is bigbut his feet are a few inches from the floor. That's fine with me since I don't want him moving in it yet, anyway. I folded up a blanket and put it under his feet so there won't be too much pressure on his bottom in the seat. He is happy and has been trying to explore the little toys. I would reccommend this walker.

I read the reviews before I bought it. It said that there old enough baby feet were no where near touching floor. The lowest adjustment was too high. I ignored it since my granson is tall for his age. He is now 8 mos old and his feet dangle. Should have listened. This manuf needs to check and compare heights. Also seat leg cutouts are quite stiff and when baby sits in it for 15 mins (since he cant go anywhere) thighs are red. Also the light up dinosaur lights up only half the time. I would not recommend this walker at all. Should have returned it..

I ordered this set for my grandson's 1st birthday. HE LOVES IT! Derek is really into all types of cars right now and I knew Fischer Price would be safe as all toys make their way into the mouth when children are young. The firetruck makes a honking sound when you first push the button on top, then the 2nd time you push the button it plays a little song. The cars make sounds when you push the button people on top while stacking them too. Derek and his 2 yr old cousin both had so much fun playing with these toys all afternoon, along with the Fischer Price tractor and stacking farm animals that I got for my elderly parents to give to him. My 13 month old grandson loves the Little Storyteller. It is the first toy he picks up when he comes to my house. He has so much fun spinning the blocks and pressing the buttons, but the best thing about it is the big smile on his face as the stories are told!

Bumkins 2 Count Reusable Snack Bags

I was bit confused after reading two previous reviews about the waterproofness of these bags. Decided to give them a go. I've put in sliced up apples, just washed grapes and sliced pears and it all worked out fine for snack time. Wouldn't put strawberries or raspberries or anything that can get mushy in a bag for snack. They do hold up for day to day snacks. but not for sliced pears left in a backpack over an entire weekend:) my bad. The wetness was 99 percent contained but not the smell. We really like these bags and use them to replace zip lock where ever possible.

I like the Bumkins bag a lot better because:

1. it's MUCH easier to thoroughly wash and dry on a day-to-day basis. This is the same material as the super awesome Bumkins Waterproof Super Bib. It doesn't hold stains and dries in a jiffy. This makes it very practical to use every day which is key for busy moms. Itzy Ritzy was a lot more difficult to keep clean.

Both have zippers, which I prefer to the velcro.

The prints are loud and colorful. Some adults may find them garrish. My kid loves the Dr. Seuss pattern. I personally would be fine taking this in my own lunch to work. Sure, it's a kid's print, but who cares. It's a sack lunch snack bag. If someone at work is going to make fun of you for having a Dr. Seuss snack bag, they need to seriously grow up.

It's NOT waterproof, but will hold moist things fine. You probably don't want to put anything super juicy in it.

Below is my original 4-star review...After using these for an entire school year I decided to upgrade their star rating to 5. Why?? They have held up very well and I wash them in the washer. I do not wash on gentle cycle but to wash them with only lightweight/non zipper-button clothing only i.e. PJs, T-shirts, etc. I do let them air dry. As my review below stated, I was apprehensive about the thinner material vs. the Itzy Ritzy Snack Happened Mini Playground Superheroes ones I ordered at the same time. However, at half the price I think they are definitely worth it. Give them a try, I think you will be happy with the experience :)

"Made of bumkins easy wipe waterproof fabric" does manufacturer think that "polyester" would scare everyone off? Instead of coming up with new marketing terms please treat your customers like adults.

Overall it's a nice looking polyester fabric bag with plastic zipper closure. In my opinion it'll be less hygienic, in the long run, than reusing a zip-lock bag...but it looks good. The reason why I think that is that the fabric is woven (on the inside too there's no liner) therefore there's no way to wash all the food off the fabric and because it's plastic it cannot be disinfected with high heat.

They are practical. I use them for baby snacks. If she drops them when we're out and about I just come home and wash them. I was wasting too many disposable snack baggies before.

Lamaze High-Contrast Bend and Squeak Toy

I bought this for my new grandson who is almost 1 month old and he loves this toy. There is a squeeker that is not too loud. There is one problem, the label that is sewn on with the Lamaze Brand is very rough. It seems that the stitching is smooth on one end, but not the other.

My 8-month-old has loved this toy for months. It took him a while to figure out how to make it squeak (which he does by holding it and thwacking it down on his leg or the floor). But he always has a smile for it and is happy to play with it.

The green fabric hasn't held up very well; it's kind of pill-y and worn. Maybe that's in part, though, because I put it in the washing machine once. (It took a week or so for all the water to drain from the squeaker! Yes, I know, it's surface wash only. Other than that, the toy survived the wash well.)

I really love penguins. This is the first rattle I bought for my daughter. She loves to suck in its beak and squeeze the handle (where the squeaker is). It's light enough that she was able to hold it at less than three months old.

My son absolutely loves this thing, it does not leave his side. He got this for Christmas when he was a month old and now he's 11 months and he's still attached to it. i also received this item as a gift, but didn't even think about using it as a crib toy!! what a great idea. this has been hanging from the handle of my daughters carseat for the past 9 months and she loves it. used to get any trip off to a good start with this thing and now, baby can pull it herself too. its a great toy for any baby!

My daughter received this as a gift when she was about 4 or 5 months old. At the time, she was still sleeping in her bassinet in the bedroom with my husband and me. When we put her in her own bedroom, this went on the side of her crib.

Every night when we put her to bed, we pull the bug down and the music plays, lulling my daughter off to sleep. I truly believe this made the transition to her own room much easier. She likes the music, and the rays light up in a pattern as it plays, so she likes to watch the lights.

This is an excellent crib toy. I received this as a shower gift for my older child, who was difficult to sooth and in general didn't care for infant toys. This she loved. It plays a delightful and soothing tune, "you are my sunshine" and it also lights up. The lights are an important and unique feature. They can divert a baby's attention long enough for a parent to escape the bedroom unnoticed, it can be used in a dark room to sooth a baby back to sleep and they are just entertaining. Unfortunately, by the time my second baby came along most of the lights didn't light up anymore. I have looked and looked for another crib pull toy that has lights, but the Kids Preferred brand is the only one that makes them with lights that I have found. As is the case with all crib pull-toys, I wish the music lasted a little longer. Sometimes I have to sneak in and start it again.

I probably should have heeded the reviews, but I was hopeful that this bright, sunny musical diversion would provide entertainment for my granddaughter on the changing table. When it first arrived, the lights flashed as the song played--all was well and she loved it, especially the lights. Gradually, however, one after another of the lights failed over 2-4 months. The music is still lilting and lovely, the bee on the pull string very cute, but the lights are gone and along with it the enchantment. Edushape Small Sensory Balls

I was folding laundry a few weeks back while sitting on the floor in the nursery with my then 6 month old. A dryer ball rolled out of the clothing and was quickly procured by baby. He was so enthralled with the dryer balls that I got online to find a similar baby toy and voila, the Edushape small sensory balls! My son loves to play with these bright, knobby balls. The textures are fun (all 4 balls are the same) and the colors delightful. I would say that 'small' is relative and these are actually larger than I expected. These are actually bigger than the light blue 'dryer balls' that you use with the laundry. I don't find that the size is a negative, but I do want baby to have different sizes to play with. I'm super happy with the Edushape balls and I would buy them again and certainly recommend them to you!

These toys are colorful and fun, but they would be so much better if there was a little variety of texture/size/weight/SOMETHING. My babies like them, but they're essentially 4 of the exact same thing.

We have a great time playing with these balls since by baby was 4 months old. The little nubs are perfect for grasping and the balls are a little deflated which helps too! Fun product!
