Razbaby RaZberry Teether

I absolutely love the idea of this teether which is why I bought it. Unfortunately, the raspberry part (which seemed like it was just glued) came apart from the rest of the binky which posed a huge chocking hazard. This scared me since I usually leave teethers in my child's crib where I am not constantly supervising. I would not recommend this product. I feel a lot more confident in the teether binky from "Soothie" that is all one piece. It's unfortunate because it looks like it would be a fantastic product if only it was constructed safer...

Firstly, let me just say that I am very glad that I ignored the "most helpful" review saying that it would come apart. I completely feared this because my baby seems to eat everything he can get his hands on, and he's only about 5 months! Well, I received the product and I couldn't be happier with the concept. It is a soft silicone material, comparable to other teething toys on the market, and my baby took to it instantly. The bonus: it is shaped like a pacifier, so babies can suck on it and it fits comfortably in their mouths. I can't say enough good things about this product.

Now about it coming apart, the green and red and green and blue teether's are two parts brought together, however the pink and the light blue teethers are one peice (i.e. there is no way it will come apart!!). I completely recommend the light blue, considering that is the one I bought for my baby boy. It is a very nice color, just as shown in the picture, and it is only about fifty cents more than the original "raZ-berry teether".

So, if you really want the contrast in colors, you can take the risk with one of the dual-color raz-berry teethers; Many people have been more than happy with the those and never had a problem with it coming apart. But personally, I would recommend the one-color ones; They are just as cute and you won't have to worry about the possibility that it will come apart. Enjoy!

I ordered this item from a different site and I was excited when it arrived but that was short lived. When I open the package I realized the teether was poorly made. I could see a seam where the handle part of the teether was attached to the base. I could see the silicone type glue that was used to attach the two pieces together. With a little bit of pulling I was able to separate the two pieces. This was immediately thrown away. I was glad I never gave this to my child. If he pulled it off he could have choked.

**I am adding an edit to this review. The teether that I was reviewing was the one with either the red bulb or the blue bulb. Reading other reviews it appears as the light blue one and the pink one are one solid piece. Since I do not have the solid one I can not verify that information 100%.

**Edit once again. I have ordered the all blue teether and I can confirm it is all one piece. While my son doesn't really care for the teether I think it is made well and I am sure other kids would enjoy it.

My fourth month old little girl has been teething for some time already, and we have tried many teethers. But this by far is the best. It is so easy for her to put in her mouth without getting fustrated. The berry part is the perfect size and shape for her mouth. My son absolutely loved this but my mom and I had the scariest experience ever. Do not let your child use this unless you are watching them constantly. We both took our eyes away from him for just a second and he turned the binky around and started sucking on the handle. The handle is soft and with my son sucking it, it lodged in his throat. The thing was almost completely in his mouth! It took two of us to get that thing out. I contacted them and they said they would send an envelope so that we could send it back to get tested however they never sent it. To make matters worse, somehow he found another one (we bought a few of them) and it almost happened a second time. If you care for your child safety, DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!

I remember playing with larger versions of these in doctor waiting rooms when I was a kid, so when I saw this little one, I thought my almost one-year-old would love it. She was more into the wrapping paper than most of her presents but when she saw what was under the paper in this particular instance she reached out her arms and said, "Ahhhh! Ahhh!" in a very intense way until I managed to get it out of the shrink wrap and put it in her hands. She then proceeded to try and eat it which is her way of showing that she loves something, generally speaking. She loves it if I sit with her and help her push the beads around the wires. Melissa & Doug Frolicking Frog Pull Toy --

I handed the wrapped package to my grandson (1) and he ripped it open. We broke it open from the packaging, which was not hard, and then gave it to him. He dashed across the floor with the frog right behind. Then his older brother (3) decided he would like it. So they yelled and screamed for possession of the toy. Finally, we promised the older boy that he could have one, too.

Peace was restored in the house. The frog is really cute, almost indestructible, and just appropriate for the age group. Just plan on getting two of them if you have two toddler-age kids.

This little frog is so cute. I ordered it for my nephew for Christmas. He is a little too young to actually walk with it but he like the colors and he was tickled when someone else walked with it. Very sturdy. I can not remember all the details about this toy, but I do know that when I opened the package before I wrapped it I said "Aawwww that is soooo cute!"

Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light

We got our turtle yesterday and no, the stars don't move and the yellow stars don't show, but my five year old loved having blue stars all over her room. The amber starts would only work if you have very, very dark walls, so they are pretty useless. Finding the constellations can be done if the turtle is in the middle of a large room. I don't know if it was an earlier model that people said the stars only showed if it was right next to the ceiling, but ours works even if it is on the floor. Granted, the stars are more detailed the closer you get, but I left it at the foot of my daughter's bed and her room was covered with stars. So the look of enchantment on her face was worth the thirty bucks, plus the turtle is cute. Also, please pay attention to the age recommendation--it truly is for three and over. My one year old would probably stand on it or drop it and the shell could be damaged, so it is for older children.

We already had a Cloud b Twilight Turtle Constellation Night Light and got this Twilight Ladybug to use when we sleep at grandma's house. My daughter loved the turtle, and loves the ladybug even more! I will say, this one is much improved from the turtle we got over 2 years ago for a couple reasons... 1. the ON button also turns the light OFF as well on this ladbug (the turtle doesn't have the OFF optionyou have to turn it off by the switch underneath if you want it off before the 45 min. automatic shutoff) 2. the stars are much clearer on the ceiling and there are more of them, including now a crescent moon cutout too (on the old turtle the stars appeared pretty blurry and there weren't as many of them to make a full sky on the ceiling). This ladybug really lights up the ceiling and fills it with stars and a crescent moon-so gorgeous!! Not sure if you buy a turtle today that they have updated it with these improvements most likely they have, but it would be wise to check and make sure before purchasing.

We love this! I am considering getting a "back up." Our 4 month old baby was totally entranced by the stars! It is terrific! Such a cute little turtle too. The stars are very soothing. The blue is easiest to see at first, but after your eyes adjust to the darkness, the blue and green are too bright and the amber is the perfect "glow." I used it for late night nursing and it was the perfect amount of light. We have 10' ceilings and the stars show up extremely well. They are "five pointed" stars -not various sized dots like I expected but still enchanting.

Edit: now at 13 months, still used every night! A beloved toy for our now toddler and I love it to! If it seems dim, it just needs a new battery or time for my eyes to adjust.

My husband and I actually bought the turtle for ourselves. It sits on a chair in our bedroom we turn it on every night before bed. The turtle is very cute and has three color lights to choose from (blue, white and green). The stars are kinda blurry with the white light, but are clear with the green and the blue. The light is soft and lasts just long enough to get to sleep.

First, let me say, that I bought this early, as I have a newborn (3 months old), but at some point my daughter will be old enough to sleep in her own room, and as most kids do, she will want a nite-light.

Well, I was skeptical at first, but this thing really does produce a cool looking and relaxing night sky on the ceiling. Say goodbye to those lame, glow-in-the dark stars that you put on the ceiling of your kids' rooms...you know, the ones that never really hold the glow. This thing projects a beautiful sky, and in 3 different colors (although they claim the red is mostly for the nite-light usage).

The quality is really nice, although the buttons for the lights could be designed a bit better...they are hard plastic, whereas a more traditional rubber coating would have been a bit more comfortable.

Pretty much the only reason I didn't give this thing 5 stars, is because it would have been perfect if it had offered a music function, and maybe a bit of movement or twinkle in the stars. Then it would have gotten 5 stars from me hands-down.

But, as it is, it is the BEST nite-light product I have found, and I don't think it is only for young children, as the sky looks cool even to an adult...very relaxing.

Bottom line...this is a no-brainer purchase whether you have kids or not.

We were introduced to this line of fine wooden toys while stationed in Germany many years ago. The toys stand up to teething and remain in great shape. They're ideally shaped to be fastened to strollers, car seats, etc., so they can't be dropped. I heartily recommend them -they will be in the family for generations.

I have had it with ugly poisonous plastic junk from China! This toy is fun, safe, and allows the child to use his own imagination when playing (instead of being plastered in front of something emitting tinny sounds and bright Vegas lights in my book no more educational than the TV). The quality is superb. My 4.5-month old likes to get his arm through it and "wear" it this way when he shakes his arms he gets a thrill out of the clanking of the wood. It's also good for teaching him how to manipulate objects using both hands.

About those who think these toys are expensive: something safe, wholesome, with attention to detail, SHOULD be expensive. If a toy is cheap, then you should wonder why. I buy fewer toys, but quality ones. How do you choose to buy electronics/other such toys for yourself? I bet you price is not the only factor.

Yellow Plush Baby Giraffe - Part of the Fisher Price Baby Shower Collection

We purchased this giraffe as an identical back up for my little girl's favorite stuffed animal. Our little girl is just over a year old and likes this giraffe because it is so easy to handle. It has legs, tail and horns that are all easy to grab. It wasn't easy to find this exact stuffed animal, so I was very happy to find it on Amazon. It arrived on time and in a sealed package (within the box). It has been through washer and dryer twice and isn't showing any wear yet.

My daughter doesn't go anywhere without "Ting" (her name for this giraffe.) I have washed it 5 times and it still looks great with no signs of wear or tear... did I mention she takes this everywhere?!

Angel Dear Ring Rattle

We bought a couple of these rattles because my daughter LOVED the blankets of the same type. The rattles were nice and soft. They held up well in her first year. The rattle was wonderful at the beginning because we didn't have to worry about her smacking herself in the face with it. She tended to do that with everything that she put in her hands. Over time, she grew to become much more capable at handling things and this rattle quickly went to the bottom of the pile. It's a great first toy, but will quickly be outgrown.

This rattle is cute and will be great for my daughter when she is born soon. However, the colors are different than is pictured and it's a lot smaller than it looks in the picture. I uploaded a picture so you can see the actual size, as the ring is much smaller than is pictured. I think the price is too high; I would only pay $5-6 for this in the future.

This rattle is cute but my baby has no interest in it. It doesn't rattle much and little hands find it difficult to grasp. It's soft but there are better rattles out there that are more effective I'm sure.

I bought this rattle along with the Angel Dear Blankie (Blue Elephant) for my baby. After handing this to my then 2 month old for the first time I noticed that the stitching in the head had broken and stuffing was spilling out. This is probably just a defect in my product; however, a children's toy should be 100% safe and this was not.

Had the rattle been safe I would have loved it because (PROS):

The blue color is great, its soft and not overpowering

The fabric is incredibly soft

The rattle sound is audible but not annoyingly loud (I loved this)

The ears, trunk, and ring give baby numerous spots to hold onto.

Cons:

Really besides the seam breaking apart I really like this toy and wish I felt safe giving it to my child

We puchased this for our twin 18 month old Grandsons. Their speech therapist has one and they were very quick to work with it. Seems indestructable they fight like crazy over it and still looks like new!

This is a great toy! My 11 month old son can sort the 3 shapes but has not been able to do the lock yet. I like this for the younger baby because the more complex shape sorter with 5 or 6 shape holes confuses him and he gets frustrated and throws the pieces. This is a wonderful toy, durable and easy to clean!

Overall a nice toy. My son loves opening and closing things and loves locks. So it made sense to get this for him. At first he was super frustrated because he could not open the door with the key. He finally got the hang of it. But still...the key is hard to operate. You would think you would stick it in deep somewhere and the key would stay put in the lock. Not the case with this toy. The lock is only a small indentation....they key sticks in there, but can easily fall out. I was looking for something more realistic where he could actually stick the key in all the way and open the lock all the way. But oh well...what can you expect with a kid's toy. My other gripe...and this has more to do with me than anything else.....is that once you lose the shapes, they are hard to find. Who knows where our shapes are....maybe under the sofa, maybe in the backyard. Meaning...designate a play time period with this toy...make sure you watch your kid and he or she doesn't run off with the shapes....or you may never see them again ! In the beginning we would play with him and this toy for about 10 mins and then we would put the shapes back in, lock the door and put the toy away. Boy would he cry ! But that is the only way to do it, otherwise you misplace the shapes and toy becomes pretty much useless from that point on.

I could never figure out why sorters would come with cylindrical shape pieces instead of 3D ones. This toy comes with cubes, spheres, and pyramids no cylinders. This makes much more sense to my baby. She doesn't try to put the "circle" shape into the square hole (if you look at a circle cylinder shape sideways, it sure looks like it should fit.) This toy is really well made with nice sturdy plastic pieces. We found ours at Goodwill, and it had all the pieces and the key was still attached. A Goodwill miracle! I would happily pay for a new toy. It's that nice and well-made. I'm on a wooden toy kick, but still really like this toy.

My baby can't open the lock with the key, yet. I leave the door open and help her empty it when she gets all the pieces in it.

I have had one of these for many years and frequently give them as gifts. I have provided infant/toddler care in my home for 30 years, and for younger toddlers I think this is the best shape sorter I've ever seen. With most sorters, the square is rectangular on one side and the circle is a cylindermeaning the child can find the correct hole to put it in, but if they are not ALSO holding the shape in the correct position, it will not fit. Most younger tots will not see this and will simply try another hole, eventually becoming frustrated. With this toy, the circle is a sphere, the triangle a pyramid and the square a cube. Find the right spot and the shape will usually go right infar more rewarding! The key feature provides for additional challenge later onI just leave it unlocked until they are old enough for it.

Haba Fabric Book, A Day with Lotta

I usually love the Haba toys but this book is not worth the money I paid. The book is very small and flimsy. There are much better fabric books out there for baby at comparable prices. My 6 month old is not interested at all. She loves the Roger Priddy (think I spelled the last name correctly) books where there is so much to touch, fee, pull, etc.

Tiny Love Animal Friends Take Along Universal Mobile

I bought this at BabysRus for 29.99 I needed something that would hang on to the side of the pack n play. Baby does like it, but not as much as his other mobiles. The actual dolls on the mobile are small and don't grab baby's attention very well. However, it is very easy to "Take-Along" so if you are looking for something to attach to carseats and strollers this will work great. I wouldn't buy it again.

Moulin Roty Les Zazou Plush Doll

I love this cat that I got for my daughter and I wouldn't subtract a star for the dimensions, but... since they weren't included in the description I had been imagining these toys a bit bigger. Especially for the price, you'd think you would get a more substantial toy, but oh well. For anyone interested in the dimensions, the kitty is just over 7 inches when sitting and it's just over 12 inches total from head to toe. I'll post pics with a ruler for a reference if anyone wants to see what this toy really looks like in person. Anyway, it's still super-soft and it's filled with little plastic (I'm assuming) beads so it has a fun feel to it if you're getting it for a baby. I really love the neutral expression on the kitty's face too, it's so cute! I guess it doesn't really matter what I think though, the recipient is the one who should be the most excited with this cat and in my case she was! I bought this for my 9-month-old daughter and she has been captivated by it since I took it out of the (awesome) box. She smiles at it and snuggles face-to-face with it, it's the most cuddly she's ever been with a toy before. I still do wish it were a bit bigger, but I'm not a toy designer, so what do I know? Lol. It's still a high-quality stuffed animal and that is apparent as soon as you see it, so I'd recommend it for anyone looking to find their baby a special lovie or perhaps for someone looking to buy a nice gift.

I bought this lovely doll for my son (4 years old), who loves lions. He was so excited when he saw the doll, and cuddles with it at night time ever since. The doll is very soft and cuddly, naïve in a good way, and has good proportions. Its colors are nice and calm, and in my opinion, it's a very aesthetic doll. I didn't try to wash it yet, but I love the fact it is machine washable.

Fisher Price Brilliant Basics Block Cart Walker

My one-year-old daughter loves this toy, but grins turn to tears pretty fast. Whenever she bumps into anything with the walker (chair, wall, dresser), the walker tips over backwards (there's no counterweight to baby) and my little one falls and hits her head on the floor.

My son has had this walker since he was 9 months old. He is now 13 months, and he still loves it. He zooms around the house with it, happy as can be. We've had no trouble with it tipping over. And even though he can now push the walker around like a champ, he still plays with the blocks all the time. Considering the inexpensive price (we managed to find it for $10 at a local store sorry, Amazon!), this walker is easily one of our best baby purchases so far.

My 1 year old loves this walker. It was given as a gift and helps her not only to walk but to place shapes into the holes. I do not see her falling while using it, the only drawback is sometimes her hand gets stuck when she tries to lift the place where the shapes enter, but it has only happened a few times. For the price this is a good walker, based on the experience with my child.

My grandson was walking along the edge of furniture but not venturing away. I purchased this toy for his first birthday. His aunt showed him how to use it and he was off! Pushing it around the room. When he ran into things he got down on his knees and pulled the toy back and then he could go again. He never pushed it away from him and face planted. It wasn't two weeks later that he was walking on his own. He doesn't use the shapes nowbut he will later. Good toy!

Bright Starts Having a Ball Bop and Chomp Gator

My son got this for his first birthday and it is by far his favorite toy. I was amazed at how quickly he picked up on what to do with each of the balls; and he gets a kick out of matching the colored ball to the right hole. And he knows that it will make noise and flash lights when he pushes the balls in he gets so excited. When it starts playing a tune he will jump up with the mallet and do a little shimmy dance, so the toy is so worth it right there! I do get a little frustrated that it seems like after a month of continuous use (every day) that the holes almost seem stretched out and are not as sensitive though, so the toy doesn't always recognize that a ball went through. The mouth of the gator slides down really easily too and my son has to really work to get the ball out of it's mouth. Again....I guess it's a learning thing so he recognizes the ball is in there, but he doesn't understand why it won't come out on it's own all the time. Cute, nice to keep my son occupied, but not built for all the wear and tear little ones put on their toys.

My daughter got this for her first birthday. It's cute....baby likes it. However, I put her in the playpen with this toy while I did something on the computer. And I heard her start screaming from the next room. Poor baby's foot was caught in one of the ball holes. It was hurting her at the angle it was caught at. After quickly scooping her up and twisting the toy, I was able to wiggle her foot free, but I won't be leaving her alone with it anymore.

Woodstock Percussion Musical Instrument (Pack of 12 Mini Jambourines)

I ordered these back in May, 2009, and received 24 as stated. We use them in our toddler room at church and the kids love to march around with them during songs. I did cut off the strings that are looped through the handles, however, because several of the kids wanted to swing them around.

I teach early childhood music classes, and this little tambourine is wonderful because it sounds decent and the jingles are enclosed so babies can't chance cutting their gums or tongues on the edges. Bright red color, easy to grip, (cut off the strings), and shake away!

Beware!! The product is described as a "set of 24", but I only received ONE mini jambourine. When I called customer service to find out if there had been a mistake, they said that there had indeed been a mistake, and that I should return the item and wait for the proper replacement shipment. The replacement shipment arrived, and it was again only ONE mini jambourine, not a set of 24 (not even a set of 12, as stated further down in the amazon.com description). $25 for one small piece of plastic is outrageous.

Bought these for my little girl who is 1. She doesnt really play with them that much. They are cute and bright. Maybe when she gets bigger and starts stacking things she will use them more.

Good toy. My ten month old likes these and they keep her busy! Would recommend. Good size blocks and good price.
