Fisher-Price Growing Baby Fun Sounds Flip Phone
Buy Fisher-Price Growing Baby Fun Sounds Flip Phone Now
I purchased this phone for my 2 year old daughter as an attempt to make my cell phone appear a little less desirable. She loves to say, "Hello" and jabber away into the receiver. She's happy to now have her own phone. Although, I was hoping it would do more based on the description. It'd be great if it had a recorded hello or other sound effects like the numbers etc. In hindsight, I definitely would've gotten the Hello Elmo phone eventhough it was a few dollars more.Read Best Reviews of Fisher-Price Growing Baby Fun Sounds Flip Phone Here
We purchased two for our twin 2yr old's. The picture on screen is made to change every time they open and close the phone, however both of ours failed fairly quickly, getting stuck on one picture or half way changed to another. The mech that changes the picture is weak, but other that the buttons make noise and the girls still like them. You may just get tired of hearing "Daddy, phone BROKE!"Want Fisher-Price Growing Baby Fun Sounds Flip Phone Discount?

Tolo Toys Classic Xylophone
I do like the fact that it can be played with the piano keys. My toddler is going through a hitting phase and it is nice to be able to hide the sticks for now!Found this toy on clearance for $20. We have several Tolo toys. It's well made and fun for my one year old. He likes banging on it. Tone is what I expected from a toy and not too bad. I wouldn't have paid $50 for it. I like that it functions two ways.

Pocoyo Water Taxi 24706
The thing is, the toy was actually originally designed to be "motorized" It wasn't designed for a battery-powered electric motor, but rather for a pull-the-string, spring-loaded motor. You can probably tell that just by looking at the wheels on the fish, which have paddles and rubberized "tires" so they'll work on hard floors or in the tub. In addition, the string is not simply attached to the fish, but is attached inside, and goes through a smooth hole edged with a more durable type of plastic. Finally, there is an off-center bulge designed into the bottom of fish to accommodate a gear on the axle. It's obvious it was designed to have some kind of motorization, but at some point someone decided to remove that feature. Of course you could just ask, if it's a bath toy, why does the fish even have wheels?
It might have been a lot more fun if they'd kept the motor, but in the end it's just an oddly designed toy that doesn't float well.I suppose it would be ok to play with on the floor but my DD has better toys that work in a "pull toy" way. In the tub Pokoyo is too heavy, on the yellow X he lists to the side then flips over. On the fish's head its a tad better but the smallest wave and it flips over. With Pokoyo on the fishe's head the fish rides low in the water so the wheels are submerged. The wheels do nothing in the water. there is no windup, pull string nuttin its hollow plastic.
It does drain out really well but for the $10 get something more fun, even squirters are more fun than looking at the BOTTOM of your tub toy.

Pocoyo is just so cute, how could I resist getting a little toy when buying the DVDs??I got this for my 3.5 year old son, who becomes transfixed when Pocoyo comes on the television. It is perfect in its simplicity. No lights, no sound, no batteries. This is just a simple plastic toy.
Pocoyo is removable from the starfish and can be placed on the fish's head. The fish has small wheels that can help its movement on land. In the tub, all 3 float. I haven't had it retain too much water, but we are pretty diligent about shaking out our bath toys to avoid mold.
I found my 7 year old enjoying this toy, too. Not surprising!

This toy doesn't do anything. It just floats kinda sideways in the tub or moves unevenly on the floor. It looks like it was supposed to have a spring or mini motor in the main fish and they forgot to put it in there. The box shows water kicking from the wheels, but they don't. The detachable boy is cute and my son plays with him, but it would be better to get that in a gumball machine for one buck instead of fifteen. If you are looking for a Pocoyo toy, I would highly suggest the Bump N Go car. My boy LOVES it.We bought the water taxi and we are very disappointed. It doesn't really move well in the water, the star that Pocoyo sits on tips over and it's just a lame toy to be honest. Very disappointing. This was our first and last Pocoyo toy. Don't get it, you'll waste your money.

Of all of the Christmas presents for my 8 month old, this is his favorite. He's teething and will chew on this for 30 minutes at a time. It is smaller than I expected. It is the size of my palm, not my whole hand. It is easy for my baby (with low muscle tone) to hold on to this and yet it is big enough that he can't gag himself with it as he does some other toys. He enjoys picking at the nubs on the handle. A really great product!Want KNOBBY TEXTURE CHEWY TUBE GREEN Discount?
Our 5 year old son's Occupational Therapist recommended a "chewy" as we call them, when we told her that he had been biting on his blanket when going to sleep at night. She sent him home with a Nuk Brush, which he loved but destroyed the first night. While researching a more durable product, I saw that parents of aggressive chewers indicated that another product, the Chew Stixx Oral Chew was good for older children. Not sure what our son would prefer, we decided to also purchase the Knobby Texture Chewy Tube Green, The two products are quite different in their firmness, but our son uses them equally. I think the softer, collapsible tubes of the Knobby might be a nice alternative when the firmer, solid arms of the Chew Stixx provide too much resistance.Be aware that the Knobby Chewy Tube Green has hollow tubes that can collect saliva. I was concerned that this would get messy, but actually I've only noticed it drip saliva once. After 2 weeks of use every night at bedtime, and sporadically during the day, both products look nearly new. In the end, I think purchasing both products was a good decision for our little guy.

All that aside, it appears to be well constructed, doesn't make any noises or require batteries and is easy on the eyes all positives in my book. The back top piece comes off so my son enjoys hiding away some of his smaller toys in there and is surprised to find them later.

Lawnmower Push Toy
This toy also has a 2-piece handle so that it can be adjusted as the child grows older.I bought this for our year-old great grandson. He received many toys and things for his birthday. His mother told me that is favorite toy is the Push Toy. When she vacuums, he walks behind her with the Lawnmower Push Toy with a big smile on his face. This toy was recommended to me by a friend who is also a grandmother. I'm sure he will be outdoors "mowing the lawn" with his Dad this summer. It doesn't make any noise to distract visitors or his mother using her phone. Was deciding between this and the classic lawnmower style push toy with the wooden slats on the outside and balls inside. Followed another reviewer's advice regarding the noise and am very happy I did. This makes enough sound to interest my one-year-old but isn't one of those toys that you end up taking away because you can't stand the racket any more. As far as push toys go, if you have a small house with narrow spaces for the child and toy to negotiate, this is much more practical than some of the larger walker/push toys out there. My one year old loved this. He pushes and pulls it around the house. It does not make annoying sounds just enough to keep him interested plus no batteries required. He just got it and already has had hours of enjoyment. Many toys today have a "learning" toy label on them but in my opinion they are just noise makers but with this one I can actually see him building his skills. Quality is good and should last.Nice finishing on the wood. Does not make lot of nice like the one we got from Meijer. Soft sound. My son loves it.

This is an excellent toy. It is made out of wood, no plastic. Right now I just lay out all of the puzzle pieces and my daughter matches them to the appropriate spot. Later we can do the actual "seek and find" part of the toy. Overall great entertainment and educational value for the money.Read Best Reviews of Guidecraft Hardwood 3D Feel and Find Here
My older son had this same game, but I gave it away some time ago. He enjoyed it very much, although he didn't like the feel and find activity interesting, but played with it like if it was a puzzle, matching figures to the planks. I gave him only few of the pieces at the beginning, and then increased until he got all of the set. The game was a big hit from about when he was 18 months old until about 3 yo.Now, I got the game again for my youngest son, too. He is 16 months old now, and he already tries to find the matching pieces and seem to like it. The game seems to be the same good quality as the one we had before.
I am not sure about playing it as feel and find, since some of the figures are quite hard to describe, and some of the animals might be hard to name even if you look at them. Maybe this is why it didn't go with my older son. On the other hand, the figures are nice and can stand on their side, so you can have some pretend play with them, too.Grandkids and students at preschool like this toy. Only problem was the parts are easy to lose. Thse storage bag helps keep track of them.

VTech - V.Smile Pull n' Play Phone
1. The handle doesn't stay on the base well.
2. The cord is too short (granted this is probably a mandatory safety issue so we can't hold the manufacturer responsible), so your head has to be very akwardly close to the base to "talk" into the receiver.
3. It's on wheels but can't be pulled by the phone handle b/c that comes out of the side, and again is fairly short.
4. In voice (versus music) mode, it says the number you press than beeps; if you press a series of numbers, i.e. 1, 2, 3, it will say those numbers as you press them without beeping inbetween but if you press the same number twice in a row it will not repeat the number, it will just go on finishing the appropriate number of beeps so... the child can't practice dialing numbers since many real phone numbers have the same number in repetition such as 555-1234 (it would say 5 and beep 5 times even as you press the 5 key twice more).
5. The button to make the dog holding the phone pop up is hard for little children to press (have to press hard to work).
6. My son has had this from about 6 months to now 20 months and it RARELY gets played with. We rotate toys so he's not overwhelmed with choices, but I've always kept this one in the mix and he almost never plays with it. So, above all my complaints, the fact is that the child just doesn't think it fun enough to play with. This toy was given to my 10 month old son. It is loud and difficult to understand what is being said. It doesn't really look like a phone (as we know them today) so he doesn't relate the toy to our telephone. This toy is also quite heavy and the cord is too short to use as a pull toy, but rather as a weapon. My son like to whip the heavy toy around and knock me in the knees or his father in the head. The danger this toy poses and the utter annoyance of the voices, far out way any possible educational value of this toy.

We have the old version of this phone. Im not sure if this one has a cord that is on the front of it but ours did. Im writing this to warn everyone who is upset that the cord on this toy is too short. Ours had a cord for the phone and a cord to pull the toy with. I was in making dinner one day and i heard some crying and i walked in to find both of the two cords got tangled some how around one of my little boys neck! when i got it off there was a deep purple indent on his poor neck. Now i know some people might be saying i need to watch my babies more but only a mother of twins would understand how hard it is. Now the cord to pull the toy has been cut off, they still like the toy however. Im just glad i got to him in time.Read Best Reviews of VTech - V.Smile Pull n' Play Phone Here
My daughter has had this phone since 6 months and she loves it. She is 1 year now. If your child loves phones (mine really does!), any phone will do to get them away from the real phones, which they really want...The cord is too short, of course. It could have been a little longer, since most parents, with a longer cord would be watching their kid anyway. I would rather have a shorter cord, but we'll see when she gets older... it's frustrating for me especially trying to show her how to say "hi / bye" on it...
The music is good and there is a lot of variety in it... lots of songs. I like the fact that the doggy talks to the child and communicates with a clear enough voice to hear.
If you bump the phone it makes noise, but when i'm playing with her at the time, it draws her to the phone.
The busy signal is annoying and I don't even know why they put that in there. The number noises kind of sound like Spongebob Squarepants sometimes and the others sort of sound like Barney.
Educationally, the phone is pretty cute and good! It teaches numbers, if they can recognize the symbols, that is.
Over all, I really love the phone! It' cute... the doggy pops up and down... But the reciever doesn't stay on that good and the toy is kind of loud and the cord is too short. (good thing there are volume options and an off option).
Baby Girl likes it though and bounces to the music, as with a lot of the rest of her musical toys... this one is one of the most that she bounces to, though.

I am not very pleased with this toy. We have tons of music/noise toys, but this is the worst. I think my 10 month old is often turned off by it's noises as much as we. We've had it for 3 weeks now and he's played with it very little. There are two options -music and talking. The music option will play a cute kid song when you hit the buttons. The talking setting will shout out a number (and eventually drive you nuts), so that's why I'll rate this ok for educational purposes. Also at times, you'll hear a busy signal (which they may as well put screeching-nails-on-a-chalkboard sounds).
There is a volume control, but even on the quieter setting it's very loud. Even for those of us with selective hearing, this toy just penetrates the ear drums. Just bumping the phone can trigger loud songs/noises. You don't actually need to hit a button. And sometimes I don't even know why it makes noises.
The good option -there IS an off switch for the noise. (I just was rocking him for a nap, and the chair bumped the phone. It was disturbingly loud. Had I turned the phone OFF, I wouldn't have had that problem. ) And it also seems to be very sturdy. As much as I would love him to break it, I doubt he'll be doing that any time soon.
I will look for a more simple and realistic phone for my son to enjoy...he still prefers our real phone and it's simple beeps.

Baby Alive My First Doll - Sips and Cuddles Hispanic

Wanted to get my grandbaby a doll for her birthday so started searching for the perfect one. I found this one & it had great reviews. I tried to find it at my local stores but had no luck so had to order it. I got the hispanic doll (only difference was writing on package also was in spanish & doll had light brown strips of ribbon for hair & light brown eyes & skin tone wasn't as fair) because my grandbaby has dark brown eyes & hair. She absolutely adored it. (We had to hide it to get her to open her other gifts!) It was the perfect size for her small hands & she carried it around with ease. She liked the sounds it made. I received my order in about a week (earlier than I was told). After I received my order I found the doll @ my local retail store for a little less but I was still happy with my purchase because I wanted to know I had the perfect doll for her birthday & it was priceless to see how much she loved it!Read Best Reviews of Baby Alive My First Doll - Sips and Cuddles Hispanic Here
If you have this doll, you will understand the title. It is hilarious! My daughter really enjoys this baby. There is a device in the arm that senses when its "shoulder" is moved, triggering the noises. This doll farts, cries, and talks. It is scary however when it starts to talk on its own in the middle of the night. Maybe I have an evil defective model. Seriously freaks me out.
PS, Thanks doll maker company for making a Hispanic model, its about time the Mexicans get some respect. Its usually only white and "African America" colors.

Power Wheels Dora The Explorer Lil' Quad

This is a great toy for children who just turned one, although you will have to teach them how to steer.Read Best Reviews of Power Wheels Dora The Explorer Lil' Quad Here
After reading these reviews, it looks like we're a little late in buying this for our 2.5 year old daughter. She's too big for foot powered ride-ons but not quite coordinated enough for a trike. Her feet also don't quite reach regular bike pedals so when we came across this at a Fisher-Price event, it was a hit and we decided to order it from Amazon. Price has definitely gone up since the last time I checked on one of these powerwheel cars!
So the verdict? This is definitely a luxury item. At 2.5 years old, my daughter will definitely outgrow this quickly. The vehile doesn't seem to travel very fast -imagine going at a leisurely walking pace as if you're window shopping. Car is made completely of plastic, including the wheels so on grassy areas, it seems to go even slower. I wish the car had some sort of small compartment to store snacks or drinks. And a horn somewhere would be nice! The one thing I like about using this car is being able to teach my child how to steer. I think it's quite complicated for a little one to learn how to steer while learning how to pedal at the same time so with this car, we get to tackle steering first. I would probably recommend this for a child's 2nd bday. But do note that your initial charge will take about 24hours so plan ahead!I bought this for my daughter's 2nd Birthday. It has been a big hit for the last 6 months and it still doesn't seem to be getting old to her. The battery lasts a good amount of time and it seems pretty durable for being made of plastic. I liked that upon assembly, I could choose which stickers to put it on and where. My other daughter just turned one and both girls fit on this and they love to ride around the house in circles. I'll be buying another one for the younger girl soon.

I know this is a doll stroller but I expected it to be at least as sturdy as the one we have (which came from Walmart or the dollar store) but I have just opened the box & the handle is loose & it seems like even a doll would be too much for it.
