If you are looking for a cheaper activity gym that folds up, this will work. It's nothing fancy. The one reason we bought it was because it folds up. However, during the folding process we bent one of the bars which makes the whole activity gym lopsided now. Cant bend it back so it is what it is. Overall it is just ok.

Kettrike Happy Navigator Air

We got this tricycle for our 13 month old grandson who's tiring of his stroller for our morning walks. We got the canopy pushbar, the feet paddles (no spokes in the tires for toes to get caught in), the bell and the basket, too (not pictured as we put it on later used plastic zip ties to secure it on the handlebar so he can't tip it off). This trike is easy to put together, very well made and durable we expect this to last Jaden 'til he graduates to a bicycle. The "rideability" is comfortable enough for our 3 mile walks and it is easy to steer for him. He loves the bell! We opted for this model because of the quiet, smooth riding rubber air tires and it's worth the extra expense!

UPDATE February 2013: Grandson (almost 4) now graduating to a 2 wheeler with trainers this has been a great ride since he was 13 months old and still looks/works good as new! See pictures from "no more stroller" to "been a great ride"!

I tried the lower priced model first because it was about $100 less but ended up moving up to the Happy Navigator Air Trike. We are very pleased with the product. Assembly was fairly easy, even though the instructions suck.

The quality of this trike is miles above the first model we tried. Adjustments for size of child take seconds and the air tires make it smoother and quieter both indoor and out.

Our grandson is a special needs child and this will serve as a great training device. The free-wheeling feature works very well and the adjustments will make this trike last for years for him. Most important though is how well it works now.

Very well built, solid, and good design.

I would recommend this one if you can afford it and suggest the toe clips.

We purchased this trike for our 15 month old son for Christmas after camping with some friends who had one. It has become our son's favorite toy!! Being able to steer for him is awesome (he still thinks he is the one in control).

It's a little pricey, but well worth it. It is really well made and durable. Seems like it will last for years!

In fact, we saw one at a garage sale a few weeks ago that was about four years old. Although it had seen alot of use, it was still in great shape!

The designers of this trike solved virtually every shortcoming one would find in a trike. Most of the great features are described by other reviewers so I won't repeat them here but definitely spring for the "Air" Navigator that comes with real rubber tires. Plastic tires won't last. What I will address is the negative reviews which stem from either a lack of understanding about how the trike works or an incorrect assembly. First, this trike will absolutely allow your child to pedal, brake, or coast. That's what the 3-in-1 Auto-Freewheel was designed for. The reviewers who claim their child can't pedal haven't bothered to adjust the front wheel so the pedals rotate. Notice that the guy with the review: "so glad i didn't pay full price for this glorified stroller" bought his at a estate sale? He probably bought a different model without the Auto-Freewheel function! I recommend going to the Kettler website and watching the video. It will quickly show you how to adjust the trike because as many reviewers accurately state, the directions leave much to be desired. Everything is pictorial rather than explained in words. Second, the handle bars, if properly installed and tightened, do not "rotate freely." I would imagine everything would need re-tightening after some use which is basically applicable to any product that has a screw! I find the parent steering to work very well. Before I engaged this feature I tried steering without it and it's difficult. Most importantly, my 2 year old son loves it and because of the quality construction and adjustability, he will use it for years, easily justifying the $239 price tag.

Fisher-Price Grow With Me Sit-to-Stand Scooter - Pink

We just purchased 2 scooters for our 2 and 3 year old girls. I wanted scooters that had 2 wheels in front and one behind since they are a little more stable and they are less likely to trip on the single wheel in the back. Overall, the toy is pretty good, but I like the Radio Flyer My First Scooter better if you are only interested in having a scooter. This one also has the ability to be a ride along toy, so you get two in one if you buy it early enough. We have plenty of similar ride on toys, so we only wanted it as a scooter. You cannot easily switch between the scooter and rideon because you have to do something to the handle and turn the wheel over (requires a screw driver).

In watching my girls ride them both, the radio flyer is more stable. The foot area of the Flyeris a little wider in the front so it is easier to put their feet on and the wheel in the back is a little more narrow so less tripping. This one has a longer foot riding area and it has slightly taller handles so if your child is older or taller, it might be a better choice. The handle on this scooter wiggles which I don't like, but my kids wiggle it to move around a little and to get going down hills. For a family that needs two scooters that are similar, but different it is an excellent choice. Or if you are buying it early enough so you can use it both ways it would be good. But, if I could only have one, I'd get the radio flyer My First Scooter. Just my opinion. You are certainly entitled to your own.

The price was amazing. The colors are vibrant. It is so easy to put together. Our 15month old granddaughter sat on it and stood on it, but as yet has'nt scooted on it, but just the sitting and standing was fun to watch. It converts easily , so as she gets the hang of it......... it really will be a 1,23 scooter!!!

We purchased this because in theory it is a great concept -eliminates the need to buy a number of vehicles for your growing toddler. Large wheels and sturdy design all looked attractive.

The big problem is the extremely wide turning circle. Steering is limited to the point that you need a small warehouse to use the product without having to pick the scooter up and move the scooter around. This causes unnecessary frustration in what should be a basic and fun toy. As a result, our toddler prefers riding her much older brother's PlasmaCar. The wide front wheelbase is also a bit difficult for her to drag around and it seems like there would be a better diesng in this

The steering feels extremely flimsy and has a bit of stiction, but our toddler doesn't complain about those aspects.

For the price I was expecting a much more solid and usable product.

My Twin girls who just turned two, got these as a gift. I'm using them as ride-ons for now. I find them very durable & very quiet. Which is good for me because we have tile flooring through out the house. The only problem I would say I have right now is that my twins are about 20-22lbs and around 31-32 in. tall. I find these as ride ons very big for them. The scooter is very long and they have to sit right up close to reach the handle bars, which then the handle bar is level with there mouth. They have a hard time trying to steer them because they are long but overall they do love them.

Now I followed the instuctions just like they said in the book but for some reason my handle bars are nothing like the picture Fisher Price shows for a ride-on. My handle bars are a lot taller. I looked at the picture from Fisher Price and there is nothing I can do to get my handle bars as short as theres.

They are easy to put together but I do find the handle bars a little loose no matter how tight you get the screws.

In many ways this is a great toy, we like the sound, weight, bright colours BUT the mallet is VERY DANGEROUS for small babies, especially those teething who will stick everything in their mouths. Although the edges are rounded that will not prevent the ends getting STUCK in your baby's mouth. While happily playing and chewing my nine month old got the end of the mallet JAMMED between the roof and bottom of his mouth. Horrible experience, fortunately he was fine but it could easily have become a real nightmare. DO NOT GIVE THE MALLET TO BABIES. Save this toy for when chewing and exploring with the mouth are long over.

After lots of searching I settled on this model for my 10 month old boy. He's still a little young for this but will grow into it. This is the perfect design for young kids and is well made in Israel. The pitch is excellent and the design is sturdy. Rounded edges are nice and safe and the kid can't pry off any of the notes. It gets dropped a lot. The mallot is just what you want too, as they will stick it in their mouth and run around with it, so you don't want the standard stick. Worth the exra money!

Received this as a gift for my then 1 year old daughter. I'd seen a lot of xylophones in the stores, but they sounded AWFUL (either an incomplete scale or WAY out of tune). This one seems to be a true scale, not musician quality, but you can play little tunes on it. The mallet looks flimsy, but has withstood my daughter's vigorous play. The frame is solid. The paint on the keys has not chipped and is bright and cheerful. Doesn't seem to have any hard or pokey edges.

Bottom line: It doesn't look very impressive, but it's well-constructed and in tune, which is important if you're hoping to encourage a good ear for music.

After playing with all of the xylophones in the stores and finding at least one bar out of tune, I searched on Amazon, and found this little guy. No bells and whistles, but it is actually IN TUNE!!! I had to tie a ribbon to the striker so it didn't get lost, but this was an absolutely easy consolation for finding one that didn't grate on my ears.

This is the only xylophone I could find for babies that is actually in tune! It plays a complete scale (C to C) so we can play recognizable songs on it easily (fun!) plus it has the added educational value of teaching little ones what a scale should sound like. I really like the plastic edges, which cover up the sides of the keys so babies can't chew on them. The mallet is plastic too and seems safe to me. It's nice that the mallet attaches to the back of the xylophone so we don't loose it.

This dolphin is made of hard plastic and is very small. It has 3 flashing lights..the blue flashing light only lasted about 5 minutes. The other lights faintly work after a month of use. There is no way to replace the battery.

I cannot tell you how much we love the HABA pacifier clips. We had tried many of the fabric ones before we found the HABA wooden ones. They would get yucky and grungy quick because the baby would both suck on his pacifier, and would then chew on the fabric pacifier clip. YUCK. Then came the day when we saw a wooden one. Was it more expensive? Yes. Is it totally worth it? YES.

The wooden clip doesn't get dirty and yucky the way a fabric one does our son has chewed on his while teething and it came through that just fine, no broken beads, no chipped paint . They clip on to clothes so easily!

Plus, we get a ton of compliments on these because they are different and work well. I highly recommend them!

The only reason this only gets 4 stars is because the actual string is a little short. It works, but keeps falling out. I am hoping it will function better when he is a little older and his sucking ability is better. Now it seems like the string just is too heavy and pulls the binky out of his mouth. It is cute though!

Bought this for our 8 month old since he loves Mickey Mouse. The blocks are great but the sides are decorated with paper stickersnot ideal for babies that put everything in their mouth! Granted this is rated for 12m+ but what child does not put toys in their mouth?!? Our son managed to eat some of the paper off one of the sides of the blocks so these are being put away for now...disappointed because they are so cute.

There's nothing to this. My son is very bored with it. Maybe a couple things make a clicky noise but that's about it. Just another cheaply made overpriced toy in the world yet again. Not worth it at all.

I was excited when I first bought this toy for my little one, because I had one when I was a child. I'll say one thing about it, it's cute and it looks like the old one, and it's durable. Most Fisher Price toys can withstand alot of abuse. But it's not as playable as the old one.

First of all, the original was made of wood of course, and this one is plastic, but no problem with that, just thought I would mention that to anyone who thought it was exactly like the old one.

The reason it's awkward for children to play with is because the reciever cord is very very short. The child will practically have to hold the whole phone up to his ear.

Whoever said that their child had the coiled cord wrapped around their neck was either lying trying for a lawsuit, or they had an actual older version. There is no way the coiled cord is going to wrap around anyone's neck unless it was a Barbie doll's neck. I'm assuming they shortened it for safety reasons. Okay, I understand that, but they left the pull cord long on it. A child could strangle themselves with the pull cord just as well as they could the reciever cord if it was long enough. So why shorten one for safety reasons but leave the other long? That is just stupid. My 1 year old won't play with this, because he won't pick up the whole phone to put the reciever to his ear. He gets frustrated with it. So really the only purpose it served was to bring back a childhood memory for me. I will probably wind up cutting the stupid 3 inch cord off of the darn thing so my baby can hold the reciever the right way.

So I only recommend this for someone who likes replicas of their childhood toys, or for someone who just likes cute toys to display on a shelf in their child's room. But I don't recommend it as a toy to play with.

This is an old favorite toy that I think every child has probably owned at one time or another.

I look for toys that are fun, easy to use and fairly quiet. I also look for toys that encourage creativity, exploration of the world (educational is just a bonus). I want a toy that will grow with the child. This toy fits just about all of these requirements.

This toy is fun for my kids to drag around. The moving eyes enchanted my son, encouraging him to walk when he first began walking. It is quiet and lots of fun.

Here are my few commentsFirst, it would be more fun if the wheels clicked or made some noise. Second, The button pad is one big pad that pushes down all at once, this is a shame because it would be MUCH more fun if it had seperate number buttons.

There are a lot of toys with strings for pulling. I bought this because I remembered mine. However, I don't think I would buy it for anything other than sentimental reasons. There are other more fun toys available.

I didn't ask for this toy, but my 10 month old daughter received it as a gift for Christmas. She loves moving it around on the wheels, turning the rotary numbers (mostly for the sound it makes) and holding the receiver up to her ear. When I first saw the toy, the first thing I noticed was how ridiculously short the cord from the phone to the receiver is! I was a bit annoyed that they shortened it. BUT then I went into the basement of my parents house and found my old version of this toy and THE CORD ON THE OLD ONE IS THE SAME LENGTH! I was born in 1985, so maybe previous versions had longer cords, but a 25 year old version of it didn't. I think it's funny how we all assume that "parents today" were too worried about their kids strangling themselves on the cord, but apparently parents back then thought the same thing. I'm not sure how my daughter even knows what this is because she's never seen a phone like that before, but she still likes it! Long story short, my now 11 month old daughter still loves to play with this toy.

Sassy Go Go Bugs, Styles May Vary

Item sent is cute, but it only has the high contrast black and white on one item. Disappointed that none of the bugs match the photo. One is yellow, blue and orange and the bug rattles softly. One is green, black and red and the green portion that attaches to the velcro crinkles. The last is orange, green and purple and attaches to the velcro with a black and white striped barrel (like the lady bug in the picture). This one makes a louder tinkle-ly sound. The wings are not crinkly like they were in the older version.

I bought these because I wanted the contrast of the black white and red. The ones I were sent have some contrast colors but the bugs are different and the majority of the colors are green orange purple...they seem to be a newer version. Just be aware you are not getting what is pictured.

The product itself is still adorable, they all have different sounds...one a tinkle, one crinkle and a rattle. They fit perfectly on a peg perego car seat. They keep a new baby attention for a little bit which is great for short car rides.

I ordered what's pictured on Amazon...bugs with satin-looking wings, black and white contrasting areas on each toy, etc. I got completely different toys, and two of the three don't have the black and white areas, which was one of my main reasons for selecting this particular item. Magic Rattle 'n Ride Pooh

Santa brought this to our 8 month old for Christmas this year and she absolutely loves it. And true to form our older kiddos (2 1/2 & 7) love it too and will play with it long after the baby's gone to bed! What is it about baby toys?! I was concerned, however, about the rattle that comes with it for two reasons: 1. Will shaking it really make Pooh go again? Yep, it really does. 2. What happens if we loose the rattle? Not to worry, Pooh has a button in his foot that makes him go again too.

This was a fun toy for my son to play with, the rattle is not needed to make noise to make the turtle move, my son would just clap his hands. This toy encouraged hand and eye coordination.

My 1 year old loves this toy! Pooh sings and turtle moves. I thought it would go faster and it does not go on carpet. Otherwise its a good interactive toy. She learned really fast that she had to shake the rattle to make him go which is a good learning experience. Sassy Go Go Friends and Go Go Chime Birds Set

A definite favorite! These make a chime-y sound that attracts my baby and gets his attention. I can attach them to his carseat, stroller, swing, play gym and more because of the velcro straps. When he tugs on them (and he TUGS) they have not come unfastened. But the real reason I love these toys? Because they have puffy feet attached to the body of the birds/bug by a long ribbon. When my baby is flailing his arms around his fingers "catch" the ribbon and his hand naturally closes around the feet. Then he realizes "hey I have something in my hand now" and pulls the toy to his mouth. Thes really seem to help with eye, hand, mouth coordination and amuse him forever! We have been using them since he was 7 weeks old. He is now 11 weeks old and they are still going strong. A must for any baby!

I purchased this because it supposed to be a set of three for the price. Like the other review I only received the bug. I called and they gave me partial refund which was fine I guess. I would've liked to get all three. Think before you buy.

My three-year old just LOVES this doll. She calls it her scary doll and growls when she hugs her. Its adorable. :)

I bought this as a gift for a girl's first birthday along with the Maison Chic 3-Tiered doll. This line of Maison Chic dolls are very well made and very soft perfect for a child. The concept of a 3-in-one doll was so clever to me and the reason for my choice. I was sent a thank-you with a note that their daughter always has one or the other Maison Chic 3-in-one doll with her at all times. It was something unique that brought surprise and interest from the adults, as it was something they have not yet seen or heard about.

We received this doll as a gift and it quite literally terrified my nine month old. She kept crawling away from it and crying. There are many more adorable dolls for the same price. This thing is just scary. And weird. As far as quality goes, I guess it's fine. But since my daughter didn't even want to touch it, I have no idea how well it would hold up. Why would any little girl want this doll though? It's beyond me.

Fun N Jump Toys Speedie Snailie Pull Along Pet

We bought this toy for a gift. It is very cute and we thought the colors and musical sounds would appeal to a toddler. We also thought the parents would like the wood component of the toy, so that it was not all plastic. We liked the toy, and it was made well. Unfortunately, the right wheel did not turn well. It just drug, causing the toy to turn over, and that same wheel also is the one that ingages the musical portion of the toy, so there wasn't any music either. We decided to return the toy, and asked for details on how to get a return authorization. On 9/24/12 we received an email stating we would receive a refund for the toy along with the following comment "do not worry about returning the snail, as the cost to ship it is not worth it." That surprised me, as I thought Brokenpinata would want their product back, and I was happy to ship it back.

Wonderworld Froggy Drum

Got this for my 10 month old, who loves it. She's not exactly playing music, but she loves that she can hit the drum with the stick and make different noises. Her face lights up with manic glee when she plays drums. We have not had this long enough to know if it will hold her interest for months to come, but I'm hopeful. Generally, this kind of simple toy keeps baby interested better than the light-up toys that play sounds. (And I feel a lot less compelled to kick the simple toys across the room for the crime of singing the damned "¡Hola!" jingle for the umpteenth time.)

This doesn't sound much like a frog to me, but the four different tones are all very pleasant and musical. Baby has played with the solid drum from Plan Toys at play group. It is a good toy, but I find the sound of this drum more appealing.

All six sides of the drum are wood and surprisingly thick I'd say almost 1/2" but it's light enough for our 16 pounder to flip over to inspect the bottom (something she seems keen on doing). It seems to be real quality construction. You can barely see the joins. The froggy design is painted on three sides of the drum. It's unisex and very fun and cute. There are four rubber feet on the bottom that probably won't scratch your tables. The drum has so far survived being smashed repeatedly with wood blocks. Meanwhile the rubber-tipped mallet has been used now to hit most of the furniture and the cat. The cat was unhappy, but the end tables weren't damaged at all.

UPDATE: Baby LOVES the frog faces on the sides of the drum. She points and laughs and "talks" to them. It's very cute.

My one year old got this as a birthday gift and we all loved it, it's very cute. However, after only one week I found him playing with the broken mallet, which had split lengthwise. Don't know where to return it to, but really disappointed that this should happen to a toy recommended for young ones.

I wanted a tone drum for my baby and found this at a reasonable price. Its cheap. It doesn't sound that great but it's durable. I'm going to have my husband sand the frogs off the sides. They are a little much!

Fisher-Price: Love to Walk Baby Pooh

My 19 month old just received this as a gift after a recent surgery and wow did she light up when Pooh started walking. She loves this. He's soft and talks to you. I think everything about him is great. He asks for hugs and says thank you after giving them. His only negative is that he has hard time walking on the carpet & his volume is only 1 level which can be a little loud. He is similar to the Hokey Pokey Elmo but more advanced (walking & talking). Pooh really delivers in SMILES.

This is a great toy. Pooh is so cute. My 10 month old loves it. Pooh walks at a slow speed, then at a high speed, and then he runs, when he falls over he asks to be put up again, he asks for hugs, and says he loves you. It appears to be very sturdy, and it puts a big smile on my baby's face.

My niece loved this toy, she enjoyed pressing poohs paws and listening to him talking, she also enjoyed calling him in her own words and getting him to walk to her, she had great fun chasing him around the room and there were plenty of giggles and enjoyment had by her and her playmates. The Love to Walk Baby Pooh was soft enough for her to hug yet durable to stand up to many bangs. Great toy for the newly walking talking toddler

I thought this was the cutest toy....its various phrases and actions really make it come alive. Aparently too alive for one of my twin girls! She screams when it comes walking towards her. She is only 12 month...maybe a little too soon for her. Otherwise a fun little guy for the playroom.
