My son, now 24, had the Puffalump Dog (Blue Baby) when he was a baby. He was never without it until he started kindergarten, which speaks volumes as to there durability. He and his wife are now about to give birth to a baby girl and I was soooo happy to find one for my grand-daughter. I just know that it will give her as much joy and comfort as it did my baby so many years ago.

MY children enjoyed their Puffalumps and now I was able to locate this new one for my grandniece. Arrived in good condition. Should be a hit this Christmas.

Mommy & Me Spin'n Spray (Bear)

My 20 month old daughter loves this thing but now the spray on it is not working as well. All i can say is that u need to make sure u have NO hair in ur tub. This toy sucks teh water up through the botton and spits it out the spout so if you have any hair in the tub, like i did without knowing, ur in trouble. The toy sucked up the hair and now its tangles inside the spout where teh water comes out. So now, the water dosnt come out so much. There are tiny screws to take the toy apart but u need one of those mini screw drivers that are long to be able to fit into the little screw hole and reach way down to the screw. Im in the process of trying that as soon as i get a screw driver that will fit. I hope it works.

My son's grandparents got this train for him and it seems that he will enjoy it when he is a bit older than 6 months. For now the noises intrigue him, though I worry about the little red door under the music buttonseems like a baby could trap a finger in it. This toy makes interesting noises but one major flaw is the lack of an 'off' buttonI have to work around it when throwing toys in the toy bin because it will start playing when brushed against.

Nice looking toy, but much narrower than expected, not in the proportions of a real train. Pity there's no off button.

I bought this toy for my 7.5 month old because she likes to bang her toys together...I thought this little drum would be perfect for her and she'd enjoy hitting the balls with the hammer. There is no way a baby or toddler could hit these balls down into the drum. I had a hard time doing it myself. Returning it back to the store.

My son loves this toy. He doesn't use the hammer. He loves to shake it, take the balls in and out of the compartment, and play with the balls. Also, they get much easier to hammer once it has been used a lot.

Disney's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Activity Story Blocks.

Bought this for our 8 month old since he loves Mickey Mouse. The blocks are great but the sides are decorated with paper stickersnot ideal for babies that put everything in their mouth! Granted this is rated for 12m+ but what child does not put toys in their mouth?!? Our son managed to eat some of the paper off one of the sides of the blocks so these are being put away for now...disappointed because they are so cute.

There's nothing to this. My son is very bored with it. Maybe a couple things make a clicky noise but that's about it. Just another cheaply made overpriced toy in the world yet again. Not worth it at all.

Under The Nile Corn Toy

I bought this for my baby and my friends kids after we all read Omnivore's Dilemma. It's adorable, soft and very durable. I threw it in the washer and because it's filled with so much cotton I had to put it thru 2 cycles in the dryer to dry it. It still looks new even after almost weekly washes and being chewed on by my baby for 5 months.

this is cute and really well made. my baby has a hard time getting his hands around it right now (4 months old) to really hold onto it. he's drooling like a fountain and this really soaks it up so there's no "puddle" on the blanket or his shirt!

Our little one has LOVED this since he was 2 months old, when we started tickling his nose and hands with the 'silks' on the 'head' of this ear of corn. I bought every single vegetable and fruit that Under the Nile makes! They are made of the softest material and have the sweetest faces! Chicco Toys Rodeo Ride On

The first time I saw this horse I fell in love! I love the Chicco brand plus all the features were awesome. We got this for Christmas for our 10mo. old (at the time)and it was love at first sight for him too. Although he was just walking around the furniture he managed to get on it and He just can't be with out it. It also holds my 7yr old on the bouncing feature since you can gage the tension on the spring. We love it!!

The toy was easy to put together and my 12 month old daughter already likes it even though it's meant for 18 months +. The only gripe I have is they obviously didn't Quality Control it very well as the sound part in the pony's head does not work. It does only if you hold all the battery connections together, but Hello, you can't do that once you put the head on! I didn't care enough to send it back as I can do without the noise anyway...it was very loud! :0)

My little girl had a thing for horses since she was 12 months old. I remember seeing this at a friend's hose so I decided to purchase it.

It;s one of my daughter's favorite toys. She is too small (and light, even at the lightest setting) to "ride" it without the green rocking base thing, but hopefully she will graduate to that too soon.

It is durable, easy to clean (you can clorox wipe it all day long without ruining it), and my baby has no problem keeping her balance on it despite her young age. I only wish the riding noise button was easier to press and that the recording of the galloping horse lasted more than a few seconds. The green rocking base is not as sturdy as I would like, but it always remains safely in place.

I hope your kids will like it like my own.

I preface this review with the fact that I am a parent of two boys we have had this horse for over one year now. This horse is wonderful while it is on the green stand and used a a rocker. It is plastic, so it is very easy to clean and it withstands very intense rocking--the type that looks like the horse is going to tip over, but it doesn't. So in this sense it is wonderful and my boys love it.

Here is the problem. It will not be used much longer. Even though this product is supposed to grow with the child, come off the rocker and be on wheels so the child can "rodeo", that aspect of the toy is completely unworkable. Why? Because the horse does not go anywhere by forward. The wheels do not turn, so the child cannot move the horse back or turn it to the side at all. All that the child can do with the 4-wheeled horse is move it forward. That is great until you hit a wall or a piece of furniture, but then what? The child tries to rock backwards to move the horse back, it won't go. The child gets off the horse, tries to push it back, it won't go. Tries to turn it, it won't go. The toys is the most frustrating and the most counter-intuitive toy I have ever seen (when on its wheels) and the kids don't want to use it as rodeo. When off the rocker, the horse causes much crying and frustration.

So, in short, this horse will not grow with your child as the manufacturer claims because it is not practical and won't be used by children for anything other than to rock.

My toddler loves this train! He has several trains, but this one gets the most use. He loves laying down on the floor and pushing it all over the living room. He watches the wheels go round and makes the "choo choo" sound as he pushes it. It just seems to be the perfect size for his hands. He has loved it since he got it when he was 18 months old and he is now 21 months old. A five star toy!

Bright Starts Tug Tunes - Bug

My 7 month old absolutely loved the purple elephant tug toy. It was her favorite toy. Until today when she had one of the little dangling feet in her mouth and somehow inhaled it. The string to the foot is long enough that the ball of the foot was way in the back of her throat. SCARY. Thank God my husband was there. I almost threw the whole thing away but I know how much she loves it so I just cut off all the legs.

The music in the Bright Starts Tug Toys (both the pig and bee) is great! Not annoying at all; actually pleasant to hear from the back seat of the car when my little girl pulls on the handle while in her car seat. However, I've gone through 4 of these toys in the past 7 months! The batteries die soooooo quickly! I wrote the company and asked them to either make the batteries last longer or make it so the batteries can be changed. I even had my husband dissect one to see if it was easy to change the batteries, and it's not. I'm debating on whether to buy a 5th Tug Toy for my daughter....she just likes it so much. It's such a shame when a nice toy can't last more than a couple of months due to batteries!

The hind legs pop off very easily. My 9 month old daughter just reached up and popped one off, then happily popped the foot into her mouth. She was in her carseat, playing quietly, and if she had choked, I might never have known. We got home and I had to fish it out of her mouth.

When I complained to the company (Kids II/Bright Starts), they sent me TWO replacements I did not want or ask for. I tugged the hind legs on both of them, and yet another one popped off with a little effort; certainly less effort than an ever-stronger infant could exert. The other one seemed pretty solid, and the legs stayed intact even with stronger pulling. Seems random.

I snipped the legs off of all of them. BE CAREFUL.

All the music starts to die right around 3 months of use, but that's at least somewhat expected. I'd happily buy another if that was the only problem.

This was one of our daughter's favorite toys! However, we went through 3 of them in 6 months because of the poor battery life and non-replaceable battery. Disappointed the battery pack isn't replaceable.

Sassy First Sounds Book Set and Cube

My daughter is 10 months old and LOVES mommy and daddy's books, however she also loves using her 7 teeth to chew them to bits and create a choking hazard. Enter this adorable set of chew-friendly books to save the day. Despite the set's title, the books do not make sound; I thought they may moo or make music when pressed, but this is not the case. The cube that comes with the book set jingles a bit but that is it.

The cube is a fabric-covered foam block that encases a jingle bell; since it is slightly muffled by the foam it's not annoying to adult ears.

Each book covers a different sound: ma-ma, da-da, and ba-ba. Inside each book shows things that start with that sound.

The drawings are very cute and clear; it is a nice tool to start teaching different animals, concepts and relationships.

The colors are awesome, very bright and stimulating; every page has a contrasting graphic and background color.

I love Sassy toys, they are always so colorful and have held my DD's interest longer than her other toys.

I highly recommend for the smallest bookworm in your life :)

Only gripe: These books have only one center page each and I wish that they had 2 or 3 inside since my daughter loves turning book pages.

I bought this product for my son when he was six months old, he is 8 months now. He has been enjoying looking at the bright pictures and turning the pages of the three books. Also biting them :) They are made of a soft material covered with very thin plastic so they are bendable. The books are one of his favorite toys. It comes with a soft cube with pictures and words on it. I highly recommend.

I bought this for my 7 month old and it is a terrible, potentially harmful toy. She is teething and was immediately drawn to the colorful books, grabbing them, opening them, and, of course, putting them in her mouth. I was shocked to find that the colors ran. The product says paint free, but there is definitely some kind of paint on the books, and it dissolves in your baby's mouth. I do not know what they are made of, but I don't take risks with my baby's health and immediately took the toy away from her.

In addition to this hazard, the toy is not very good for introducing sounds. It has Ma-Ma, Da-Da, and Ba-Ba listed as the M, D, and B sounds. Then a picture of a monkey, a dog, and a sheep. Overall, it is a poorly designed, potentially dangerous baby toy.

I purchased this as my son was turning 6mo, he's now 7months & both the block & books are his favorite toys. The books I read to him at night are cardboard so I don't let him play with them bc he likes to mouth them. But these are great, the material on both is teething friendly, easy to clean, a waterproof... he always grabs these first when I lay out his toys. He even knows how to flip the pages already! & loves looking at the simple bright pictures while acting like he's reading! My family was so impressed he was doing this, I always bring one of these books with when for visiting, he loves them! I did read controversy from a teacher about the word sound examples for the letters not being appropriate for proper pronunciation & she thought the books were bad, many disagreed with her even a PreK teacher on Amazon, I really don't think that's a big deal this young... I think these books are great for under 12months for baby to learn to get familiar with liking books & pictures. After a year or so I would probably encourage more "proper" educational books for pronouncing proper sounds after reading that comment... But for now these are great!

When I first heard of Taggies, I thought was a silly idea, but my 1 year old loves these things. I started recognizing that he was playing with the tags on his blankets and jackets towels. So I decided to buy one of these things, and he absolutely love it. I bought the fleece blanket surrounded by tags, and he would be in his crib playing with it quietly. So if you see your child playing with the tags this would be a great toy.

I think my DD was just too old for this when I purchased it at 5 months. I thought she'd like the tags. She was sort of interseted in the rattle noise but not in the actual toy.

Thomas the Train Bulstrode Bath Buddies

I'm writting this strickly from my Grandson's reaction and he absolulty loved the Bath Buddies. The items were good quality construction and were fun in the tub.

The Bulstrode boat fills up with water very quickly, but also tips over very easily. My kids like the Thomas squirt toy OK, and the sieve provides some fun. On the whole, though, I'd say pick another bath toy for the price.

TOLO Rolling Shape Sorter

This shape sorter is by far the best one we've had (and we've had several)! Both ends are removable and also lock in place. Each shape (there are six) has a different rattle sound and is a different color. Would highly recommend it to others!

My 8 month old seems to love it, so far. I like that it will "grow" with him, as he will be able to start putting the shapes in their respective holes after awhile--right now he just enjoys listening to it make all sorts of noise/rolling it on the floor.

This shape sorter is great in that it is smooth and compact and you can put in the shapes and keep them inside. However, I found two problems. The manufacturer did not make the openings all big enough. The yellow shape on mine has to be pushed down by an adult. My year old grandson puts it in the right place but he isn't strong enough to push it down into such a tight hole.

I never thought of him putting his hand in between the bars to reach for a shape and since he is holding one he cannot pull out his hand. An adult has to open the top, reach in, remove the toy from his hand and get his hand unstuck!

But the best part of the toy is that each shape is a separate rattle. It fits nicely in a child's hand. My grandson shakes them like rattles and carries one or two around, even out of the house. They do keep him happy and his hands are out of trouble.

My son and I went for a playdate at a friends house and I was so impressed with this toy that the host had that I ordered it as soon as we got home.

This is a quality toy. I would not hesitate to send it as a gift. The construction is solid and the colors are bright. Because of the way it is made, it spans a big age range. Children can insert the shapes into both ends with parental guidance/help, and as s/he grows older s/he can do it on his/her own. Younger children enjoy shaking the rattles.

Definitely recommend!

This toy is just great. It isn't loud, is sturdy, and is more interesting than similar toys that just have spinning balls inside. My baby loves it.

My son is five months old and this is one of his favorite toys. When he gets fussy we can hit the button and the sounds of the ponies spinning around instantly quiets him. He loves watching the ponies and the design is simple enough that he is even starting to push the button himself. Everyone that sees this toy in our living room talks about how pretty it is (it is much prettier in person than the picture makes it look) and how well it is made. For some reason I thought the horses rocked back and forth but they don't. It's still a nice toy and better quality than what you find from the big brands out there. What I like is the top button is really sensitive so it's easy for small babies to push and get immediate gratification which is important when learning cause and effect.

I bought this for my 4 month old, he likes to watch it, but I was very surprised by how much my three year old likes it! She plays with it a lot and likes experimenting with the different speeds that she can make them spin. So, this is a toy that will probably be enjoyed for a long time!

This is also really cute, so it even makes a nice decoration in a child's room and would make a nice baby shower gift.
