I purchased these balls when my son was about 5-6 months old, to give another developmental toy for him to play with. He loves rolling them around and crawling after them, rolling or throwing them to me, and putting them in boxes. They are easy for him to hold, and I like the different colors, sizes, and textures. He also really loves it when I roll it over his head and down his back, it tickles and he makes this really cute face. I feel that these are versatile toys that will bring learning and enjoyment for a long time.

My one year old is blind and I bought these for his birthday. GREAT sensory toy. Love them! I especially like the biggest ball. Each ball has different "nub" texture too...one is more pointy nubs, one is more rounded soft numbs, etc. Great toys! My 5 year old son likes playing with them too!

I spent along time trying to find balls which were Phthalate Free. When I found these on Amazon I was so excited exactly what I was looking for and Phthalate Free. When the box arrived, I initially thought "great, exactly what I wanted textured balls in different sizes and nice colors. On closer inspection, I noticed a blurb on the box which states "The balls are Phthalate Compliant"...WHAT? what does this mean? Certainly not the same as Phthalate Free...as Phthalates are not illegal. I will not let DS roll around on a product that has Phthalates, especially given that he puts his mouth on everything.

At least Amazon's customer service was excellent. All it took was an email explaining my problem with the item and I received a refund.

This is one of the most adorable rocking cows I have ever seen. It is well made and the cow is very soft. It is a nice height for my one year old son.

I really like this product. It is nice and soft like a stuffed animal but stable enough for the baby to rock on it. My little one has not quite figured out how to use it but she loves to pet it and even hug it when she sits on it. I still love to look at it as it just looks as adorable as it did on the picture online. The fabric is very soft and nice to touch.

I bought this cow rocker for my son's first birthday. He was having a farm themed birthday and I thought the cow would make some cute pictures. He loved this as soon as I took it out of the box (and I loved it too becuase there was no assembly required). I purchased this for my 5 month old and from the minute she saw the package she was in love with it. It was the one toy she always liked to play with until she was about 14 months old. For nine months it was her favorite toy and I really like it as well. The fish are colorful and interesting to look at, each one makes a different sound and babies love taking things out and then putting things back into the bowl. I liked this so much I bought one for my nephew as well. This is one toy I will be keeping in case we have another child.

I bought this for my 6 month old cousin for Christmas. My 11 month old daughter has liked playing with this toy since she was 6 months old. She likes to take the fish out of the bowl and put them back in. Great for motor skills. The water filled sides of the fish bowl are fasinating to her too. A friend ordered this for me off my Wishlist, and there is no water, water stains, nothing to indicate it's the same item exactly as the box and Amazon describes. Just a single layer or clear plastic on either side of the fishbowl definitely intentional and not a defect. I was VERY disappointed and in a way feel cheated. I guess my infant will not know the difference but the water should have been in the item, or Amazon should have doen a better job QC'ing their products! Still love Amazon though!

A little disappointed that this newer version does not have water "around" the fishbowl. It used to have water-trapped sides of the bowl with floating, mini sea creatures. Otherwise, it can have a 5 stars. The 4 stuffed creatures look cute inside the fishbowl. I like its color, pattern and fabric.

This is a cute, well made toy. The fabric is easy to clean, seems nice to chew on (my 8-month old's favorite thing to do with it!), and the bells on the inside have a pleasant chime. The turquoise and orange colors are quite vibrant. It seems a little pricey for something so basic, but maybe wait until it goes on sale and you won't be disappointed.

My son was given a Little People bus filled with the Little People blocks when he was 12 months old. He has been banging the blocks together since then, and learning how to put them together. These blocks are large enough that I didn't worry about him choking on them. Now that he is older (20 months), I wanted some additional blocks for him, but didn't want to have to buy a Little People jungle or other some such kit, all I wanted was blocks to expand on what we have already. I didn't want to change brands, since his blocks attach to the bus carrier that we have already. These blocks fit the bill perfectly! There are several arches, roof shapes, and round and square blocks to help him build more complex shapes. They come in several colors so we can work on naming colors as he builds, can work on shapes (round and square, big and little) and they are easy for him to hold and push together. I actually bought 2 of these, one to keep at grandma's house! I'm very happy with my purchase!

My daughter had the little people builder wagon so I wanted to extend the set she had...I wish I never would have bought the wagon so I could have bought better blocks. For a Fisher Price set this is really disappointing! As a few other reviews mentioned these blocks DO NOT stay together-which defeats the purpose of blocks. Currently my 18 month old enjoys playing with them because they are brightly colored & new and can't get many together...but as she grows I know we will both be even more disappointed. For the price this is a rip off.

I thought this set would be a great starter set for my son. He isn't too interested in building with them yet, but gets the concept when I build something. I am a little disappointed that some of the blocks don't fit together very well. Some of them don't "lock" together and are easily taken apart, rather fall apart. We will have them out for his building skills, but will likely get another set once he gets the hang of building. For the money, it's pretty good, I like the many different shapes, but would prefer them fitting together better.

The bag is a nice storage compartment that my son will tip over and it makes him laugh, but the block quality is another story. While I will stack them and my son knocks the blocks over, a lot of times the blocks collapse on their own. I have used Lego Duplo's and they stick together like traditional legos where as these blocks can barely hold four pieces on top of another.

We've now had this train for more than 6 months. He is still pretty rough with slamming the characters down and grabbing them when they are up. It's been a durable toy and helps teach cause and effect (push a button, something happens; pull or push the train, music plays). He still plays with this toy almost every day, so he's liked it a lot. As a parent, I wish it had a little more educational aspect Pooh asks to go on another ride, and if the child actually moved the toy again, it would be great if there was acknowledgement of the child's response. Each character pop-up only has two phrases, which can get on an adult's nerve after a while. However, it is still a favorite of his.

While a very cute toy train, there is not much to hold a child's interest (or an adult's patience). The toy consists of three train cars, one for each Piglet, Tigger, and Pooh. When the keys are pressed, each character makes a noise and says something and that is it 3 sounds to be repeated over and over. The toy seems very durable and the keys are even somewhat too hard for little fingers to press. The pop-up latches also seem to catch, making it hard for little fingers to close. It is cute, but very limited which makes it seem like a toy that will be short-lived.

The construction of this toy is what I want to comment on first. It's SO durable! Most plastic items you can buy at this time are thin and just feel cheap. They're easily cracked and simply don't hold up to constant play and wear. This little train is made of super-thick plastic, has a heavier feel than typical toys, and just feels like it can stand up to being tossed around/stepped on/chewed on/etc. I was very impressed with that aspect.

The actual "fun" factor is quite high for a child probably 8-9 months, as they're just getting into the concept of pushing buttons having a cause/effect. I think children over a year will be bored of the train easily, so the age range on the box could definitely be adjusted. I did like the pull-along feature, which would be great for those just beginning to walk, but the pop-up features would be better for the younger age range.

I didn't take issue with the volume level and the actual tunes/voices used in the toy aren't incredibly annoying as some toys are. Overall, I think the toy is priced a bit high for what you get (3 train cars), however the durability makes up for that. I'm always willing to pay a bit more for quality products. Ooh and the batteries are actually INCLUDED, which I find amazing.

From the second this was out of the box my two year old was glued to this toy. This is a bright colored train that is very interactive. The kids can push a variety of styles of buttons to activate the lids on colored train cars. They are delighted when their favorite Pooh characters pop out and surprise them with an audio voice/musical cue. (The voices/music cues aren't loud or annoying but it is very important to know that you can also turn the music OFF!) There is a pull string for the kids to walk around and make the train travel wherever they go. My two year old loves this train and it doesn't drive me crazy either. Soft edges, fun music, bright colors make this a great toy.

Its a fun little train, its probably more appropriate for even younger little ones. The buttons are lot of fun and each need to be turned or pressed a different way which gives a nice little challenge (for the 2 yo not the 4yo!) My kids had a great time playing with this though I will say it doesn't seem to pull very well, its more fun to just sit and play with then anything.

What a piece of junk. The construction of the truck and the mat is indeed durable but don't be fooled by the description "effortless interactive toy"...like I was...you have to drive back and forth over the notes that make it 'interactive' and press hard. My two year old can't press hard enough to make it play. And the 'music' that the truck plays is about 4 repeated notes, incessant repetition that will send you over the edge in just minutes. My son even says "no" and turns it off himself.

If Santa had kept the packaging, this would already be on its way back to where it came from.

The Talk of the Farm play mat set is cute. The design is simple a sturdy, flat, colorful mat (big enough for a little one to get down on for play, but not so big it takes over a room) that's designed to look like a farm, with various enclosures for the cheerful-looking animals. With its farm-animal theme and little red pickup truck, it looked like a great idea for my 18 month old son, who loves trucks and animals equally. So far, it's been a fairly popular choice among the toys he plays with daily, though he doesn't really play with it in its intended way at this point. Kids are *supposed* to drive the included truck over the mat, stopping at designated spots (marked by musical notes) to hear the "talk of the farm" soundbites about the farm, its animals, and suggestions on what part of the farm to visit next. He'll turn on the truck (which plays a simple, upbeat melody as it rolls along) and dance as he pushes it across every surface in our home EXCEPT the mat. He'll get down on the mat and point to the various animals and make their sounds. He'll even add his own animals to the mat, putting a toy cow on top of the cow pasture, for example. But he has no interest in placing the truck on the "right" spots on the mat and hearing what the mat has to say. At this point, I don't know if it's because he hasn't really connected the talking with the location of the truck, or if he simply prefers his own thoughts and sounds to what the mat has recorded. In either case, he's happy to play with the parts, and that's really all that matters. All in all, this was a good purchase, especially at a discounted price I wouldn't have paid MSRP for this one, but for what I spent, my little guy's getting a good return.

My son who is 15 months adores this toy! He's still too young to grasp the concept of the games that it teaches(Find the pig, etc.) but its kept him busy for the past two days straight! I agree that the sensors are small but in all honestly its a great toy, for a reasonable price. It seems sturdy also, and we've had no problems with batteries draining, or the sounds from the truck sticking. I definitely give this toy 5 stars, and I was disappointed to see the poor reviews when I came back to purchase another for a friends son.

I scoped out educational toys at a local teachers' store, and found this priced at around $40. I was glad to find it on Amazon for much less, and I expected that my 2-year-old would enjoy it. It was a Christmas gift, and while other toys got more attention at the beginning, this one eventually got plenty too. Both my 2 and 4 year old sons like the peppy tune the truck makes. They also enjoy following the instructions given by the toy , and finding the various areas of the farm/play mat. (i.e. "Let's find the sheep meadow. Can you baa like a sheep?") It's a toy I enjoy playing with--with them! We discuss all the work a farmer has to do, and the different animals.

All in all, a creative idea, good quality materials, and pleasant. Well worth the price paid, and I'd buy it again as a gift for toddlers/preschoolers we know.

The truck drives around on the mat and @ certain points, it will talk and tell you to find another part of the mat that talks. He did not get it but an older child would. Disney's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Activity Story Blocks.

Bought this for our 8 month old since he loves Mickey Mouse. The blocks are great but the sides are decorated with paper stickersnot ideal for babies that put everything in their mouth! Granted this is rated for 12m+ but what child does not put toys in their mouth?!? Our son managed to eat some of the paper off one of the sides of the blocks so these are being put away for now...disappointed because they are so cute.

There's nothing to this. My son is very bored with it. Maybe a couple things make a clicky noise but that's about it. Just another cheaply made overpriced toy in the world yet again. Not worth it at all.

This photo album is one of my favorite gift ideas.... I usually open it up and print out a few pictures to get the album started and make sure all the pages are straightened out (they come a little crumpled, but as soon as you smooth them out it looks great! I really like how you can wipe down pages since they get so sticky from those little cake hands :)

Buckle Toy "Bella"

I purchased this toy for my 15 month old (now 2) and she loved it. My main objective for this toy was to help keep her busy in the car or on a plane and it served it's purpose well. The reason I chose this buckle toy over others I had seen was because of the clasp variety. I wanted my daughter to have multiple types of buckles and others I saw were the same clasp in different colors and sizes at best.

The previous reviewer is right, the toy is not the size of a pillow but more the size of an average adult hand. I am not sure why you would want it to be any bigger. If it were the size of even a standard toddler pillow it would be awkward or cumbersome for a toddler to hold and buckle at the same time. I think a larger size buckle toy is more appropriate for a baby that does most of it's exploring and playing while lying on its stomach.

The price also seemed a little high to me when I purchased it but after seeing all my child has put it through added to the fact that it is still in perfect condition has actually led me to purchase it as gifts for friends toddlers without thinking twice about the price.

At the start of this review I mentioned that she loved it past tense. We still throw the buckle toy in the mix of travel toys and she is happy to see it but after about 3 months of use my daughter had mastered it and it now only holds her attention for about 30 seconds. This short time frame may seem discouraging to some but 3 months is the longest (besides stickers) any travel toy has held my daughter's attention so I consider it a success. With 30+ flights under her belt and many road trips this toy has also probably been forced on my child more then most which I am sure has a lot to do with it's entertainment lifespan in our family. I do have friends who's children have a longer attention spam with it after a longer time frame.

Even after they figured out how to hook and unhook the buckle, they continued to play with them as if it were their first time. It challenges their motor skills AND I quiz them on the colors, shapes and numbers that are displayed. I actually have to order more of them because the children fight over them. Munchkin Snail Stacker Bath Toy

I bought this bath toy for my daughter for christmas just before she turned one. I got it because it looked cute, but now that we have it, I've realized it is a really great learning toy. She loves to stack the rings back onto the post on the snail's back, and is starting to learn that they need to go on in order of largest to smallest so that they all fit. What a great learning toy for the bath! The rings do different things as well one is a shaker, one has little wheels in it that spin when water goes through it, and the other has little counting beads on one end. Packed full of learning!

My daughter liked it the first time we let her play with it in the tub. After that, she seems disinterested. So, it doesn't hold her attention. Also, not super sturdy floating in the water.

My daughter likes to stack this toy, but they don't seem to fit well on the stacker and in the bathtub the rings get full of water and it throws the balance of the snail off and it just keeps tipping over. I wouldn't really recommend it.

Earthentree Organic Red Abacus Rattle

I bought this rattle with some other baby toys last January 2010. Recently we wanted to introduce this toy to our baby, but noticed that most of the paint was cracked and chipped off in tiny pieces. Bizarre. Called Amazon and they are going to investigate this product. Please be aware if you already purchased this rattle.

These toys are wonderful. I bought a bunch for my grandchildren who are 1 and 2 years old. They both enjoy playing with the toys and I love that they are playing with something that I know are safe. Gund Baby Spunky Plush Puppy Toy, Small, Pink

This is the first review I have ever posted on Amazon.com. When my daughter was born, my then boss brought this for our newborn daughter days after her birth. On his arrival, I was in the middle of dealing with my first diaper malfunction. We joked that I would lovingly call the puppy PP a reference both to the Pink Puppy as well as the diaper malfunction. I had no idea that 6 years later we would still be hearing daily references to PP. After hearing the story of PP's arrival many times, our daughter decided to legally change it's name to Grace (she actually asked if there was anything official she needed to do...). Anyway, I wish there were words to describe the amount of love and comfort this has brought to our little girl over the years. We have several times tried to wein her from this toy to no avail, but have decided to let nature take it's course.

As for quality... the barker stopped working about 18 months after her arrival... (This was a blessing if you ask me She has also been re-stuffed at least three times, but I would not hesitate to buy this for another newborn girl anytime soon. I never would have thought that 6 years later I could find the same stuffed dog, but sure enough this is the same dog, and the name matches the tag on it's back 'Baby Gund Spunky'. She'll always be a part of our memories of this time in life.

My second daughter is super attached to this toy and she sleeps with it all the time. We first got one when I had my first daughter 4 years ago. It was very soft and cute the quality was much better then the one I recently bought. However, 2 years later, we lost it and I ordered it online since that was the only place I found it. I was surprised to see that the quality went down I had to stitch it up in a couple places within the first couple weeks we got it. I was very disappointed. I'll probably have to buys another one because she is so attached to it and we only have one. But I did not think it is worth the price.

My daughter loves this dog, and won't go to sleep without him. I bought a half dozen to have as back up in case we lose one. The barking is a little obnoxious, but she forgets that he 'talks' so we don't hear it too often.

LeapFrog LeapStart Learning Table

This table was fantastic for our family and is VERY sturdy and doesn't tip and held up very well for 4 years of children use. Well worth the money, especially when compared to the newer model. One of the least annoying electronic toys we have.

My daughter absolutely loves this table! I am very pleased with it myself. Mine has green legs instead of the blue shown in the picture but otherwise is exactly the same. Not only does it have multiple stations for her to play at, it has the book in the center so you can switch from numbers and letters to music. All the bright colors really interest her and she loves to "play" the piano. She is just learning to stand and walk so does alot of pulling on one side and it has never even threatened to tip. I am incredibly happy with this as it's sturdiness has saved many possible tears. I cannot say enough positive things about this. It even has the ability to switch to Spanish, which we havent done much of, but as she learns we will probably do every so often. I highly recommend this table!!!

I like this toy quite a bit. Just wish my 1 year old liked it as much as I do. I have the older version like what is pictured.

Pros-

It's sturdy, does not topple over easily when child pulls up on it

Low enough profile that they can stand and play

Legs come off so they can sit and play

Multiple modes of play, with or without it being on

Very colorful

Can buy a bilingual version (which I didn't know until today)

Cons-

The book has paper pictures on it so when you clean like the germ freak I am, it will eventually rub off

The purple lid often comes off

The shapes get stuck sometimes (of course mine is older and has had a lot of use so may be just age)

I really like that you don't have to have it on to use most of the features....great when you have a headache (as a mom of 5 boys, I get them often). I also really like that the legs come off so I could use it when he was younger. I have only seen my little one topple it once because he was sitting and really pulling it up on two legs. He was pulling hard too.

Overall, I think it's a great toy. Not crazy about some of the prices on Amazon but you can find it cheaper elsewhere. Even then, it's still pricey but if you pass things down as we do, not horrible. I've seen worse.

Very nice toy for babies and toddlers to explore musical and other sounds. We worried because we dislike electronically produced sounds playing constantly, but this was really manageable. Also, you can adjust the volume. Our son loved playing with it and we were glad to have it.

I have a six month old baby boy and I believe you can never have too many links. I use them for everything, attaching toys (or other stuff) to his stroller, to the high chair or simply for him to chew on.

These are thicker than most links we have and the opening is a little big (I've notice my son can separate them easily) so I'm not using these to attach any toys but raher for him to chew on and he loves them, since they are thick, they have textured surface on all sides so they are really good for chewing.

I got this for my 4 month old daughter. I was hoping to be able to attach some of her toys to her stroller with it, but the links have too wide of a gap and everything falls off (even the links themselves). My daughter likes chewing on the links and likes the colors so overall it is a pretty good toy, just wish the gap wasn't so wide.

My daughter is 3 months old and just loves all the colors! She will grab on to the individual links and look at them and sometimes try to put them in her mouth. I've also used them to attach some of her hanging toys to her Fisher Price Play Mat and mobile.

Super Mario Brothers Child's Deluxe Costume, Princess Peach Costume

This costume is very cheap, not worth the price. It is not even the one currently pictured, it is the lighter peachy pink, and does not have the dark pink sleeves. The gloves are a joke, they don't go up to the elbow, no way they could when the fingers are only about 2 inches long. The crown is a soft foamy material and is flat for shipping and the creases stay it won't stand up nicely like in the picture. The dress itself just doesn;'t hang as nicely as the one pictured. Overall, my daughter and I are both disappointed. We may return this as it is significantly NOT as pictured.

I wish I had read the previous review before I ordered this! I got this costume for my small 3 year old daughter and I wanted the costume with the pink sleeves. I ordered this one in a size 4 since I thought it was the one I wanted (and they didn't have any smaller) and I could do alterations. I received the costume that is all peach (the one I didn't want) and it was way too big! The quality was really poor, as is with most halloween costumes. I am returning it. I just feel like the picture they posted for this costume was false advertising and I was so disappointed when I got it in the mail (and still have to pay for S&H).

I had to order this costume online since I couldn't find it in any stores. This is the first item I can honestly say I was extremely disappointed with that I have ordered from Amazon. The quality of this costume is aweful. The elastic in the sleeve had come apart so I had to re-sew it and then the crown's elastic came out as well so that needed to be sewn as well. Would NOT recommend it!

This costume is absolutely adorable! Not sure what the other posts are talking about... the material is nice, it does NOT appear to be cheap in anyway. Size was very true to posted. Overall for less than $30.00 I am very pleased!

This costume is adorable on my 11 year old daughter. The crown is better and the dress sleeves are puffier than I expected. It appears to be fairly well made and even the gloves are very nice. The material was also easy to clean after my daughter spilled ketchup all down the front of it. I highly recommend this costume if your little girl wants to look like Princess Peach! I have a feeling it will see plenty of use after Halloween as well.
