Let me start by saying my kids LOVE this toy. They adore the Wonder Pets. However...FP did not engineer this toy well at all. The flag pole, the tree, and the slide come off so easy!! In fact, it's a pain. My kids are two and three and every 10 seconds something falls off, then I hear "Mommy, this broke, please fix it!" I plan on putting some glue under the tree and the flag pole so it doesn't come off. I gave it three stars because the kids are enjoying the school house, but if it weren't for that I would really give two stars because all the parts come off. I "wonder" why they didn't notice it during testing!

My daughter absolutely LOVES the Wonder Pets so I knew she would love this, and overall, it is a good toy. However, there are a few drawbacks. 1) The tunnel that the animals can slide down through, the tree, and the flag pole are not attached to the toy--they're removable, which would be okay if it took more than a simple nudge to pop them off. So, my daughter gets frustrated because they are constantly popping off. 2# There are animals all over the toy #birds, squirrels, Ollie), but they are the same color as the plastic. The birds in the tree are green like the leaves. Ollie is green like the grass. So, they do not stand out to little children. Overall, though, my daughters LOVES this toy.

My son loves Wonder Pets which we chose as the theme for his 2nd birthday party! Then we found this schoolhouse activity set thinking it was going to be the perfect gift...not! The attachable pieces do not stay in place, coming off way too easily (ie; the tree barely stays standing, the shoot detaches when you tough it, and when the flyboat is placed on the flagpole it doesn't spin down the pole like it's supposed to because it's too heavy!)And I have to agree with another reviewer about the animals being the same color as the plastic, not good...too hard to see! Overall my son still loves the toy, but as previously stated when everything comes off so easily it is quite annoying and we might return it due to the poor quality and workmanship!

My twin girls love Wonder Pets and we have many pets toys. I agree with the other reviews about the pieces falling offthis is a pain. The other issue I have is that we have several other Fisher Price wonder pets figurines, flyboat, etc. The other figures are too big to fit down the slide or on the peg for the little flyboat. My kids get frustrated with this. The only animals that fit are the ones that came with this set. They want to play with all of their wonder pet toys in the school house. FP should have made this consistant to fit their many toys already out there. Of course my kids' favorite part is pushing the phone and hearing the character's voices!

Wonderworld Wonder Sensory Blocks

The product description and picture today, 9 October 2012, is the same as it was when I purchased this toy from Amazon. Do not rely on the product description, it is not correct. Because of this I'm starting my review with an accurate description of what you actually get.

This set includes nine diamond shaped blocks and one plank block. There are three primary colored blocks with a circle cut out of the center and piece of clear colored plastic placed over one side. If you look through these blocks they will tint everything, and if you place two together and look through them you will see the correct secondary color tint. There are four natural colored blocks which have an indented circle on one side, three have a touch element and one has a mirror. The plank has four indented circles with matching touch elements / mirror. There are two sound blocks, one orange, one green.

I bought these for my son when he was 14 months, the touch elements, which all feel pretty much the same and would only be interesting to a baby who's never felt any sort of fabric, are already way to young for him, however, the addition of the plank will allow for matching when he's older. The green sound block works okay and my son likes it, but would enjoy it more if there was more sound. The orange sound block works technically speaking, but in terms of being played with by a baby it does not work at all. The three primary colored blocks work as they should, but could be easily improved on. Right now the hollowed middle is fascinating to my son and the ability to see things in the different colors will be fascinating as he gets older. As "sensory" blocks these are a failure. If you're looking for a good set of sensory blocks keep looking. As a good starter set of blocks with a few sensory elements these are wonderful. Because these are diamond shaped blocks there is more potential when it comes to building and much more learning and exploration than you can ever find with the traditionally shaped blocks, but without being frustrating. The wood is smooth and durable and my son loves to build with these.

We LOVE these blocks! They were purchased for my 12 month old and I can see getting years of use out of these. They are very well made, come in a little bag, and have lots to explore! I love the color blocks, it is so simple to teach primary and secondary colors with these. There are lots of things to touch and match, as well as shakers to play with. A wonderful purchase!

I decided to get these for my 2 year old nephew for Christmas. When I received the box it was small and I was worried that maybe I wasted my money. When I opened the box the blocks are somewhat small but they are exactly like the picture. Different textures and colors. My nephew enjoys playing with them and stacking them up. I bought this for a 12m baby that was coming over to my house to visit for the holiday. She loved it.

The colors are bright and inviting, the crinkles and noises are not annoying at all and actually kept her attention, everything was well attached and the fabrics were interesting to her small hands. They are easy to cuddle and carry and easy to clean.

My Princess does not have a white ring attached to her head at all and I am kind of pleased that she doesn't. Princess got 5x as much play as the Pony did, but that's OK. If I had it to do over again I still would have purchased the set instead of the Princess alone.... It's a cute set.

I bought this book for my twin grandchildren (now 9 months old). The four pages for photos were just right for mommy, daddy, and one for each baby. Of course, the book goes in their mouths first. They do turn the pages and look at the photos. I think that they will discover how to remove the photos from under the plastic page soon.

I bought this for a class project, not a baby/child. Note that there is no velco to close the photo pocket so I'm thinking any child with a pincer grasp could get the photos out. Also, it's a tight fit for 4x6 photos.

Most of all, the colors are not a vibrant as shown online. But overall, awesome product.

This is the perfect first picture album! Even without pictures it captured my 5 month old's attention and she is so happy when it is in her hands. Her favorite part is the tag of course! The bright happy faces and patterns are great and it is a great way to help babies establish recognition of family and friends who they may not see every day. It is a little spendy but worth the money in my opinion. I even put it through the wash (prior to pictures being put in) and it came out fine (skipped the dryer though).

Item is as described: is basically a larger sized ball with nubbins on it that are easier for a little one to use when grabbing a ball. I didn't find the points particularly sharp. It's a good starter ball to throw around the house when you have a kid learning to toss around a ball. The picture on the box even shows a kid sitting on his ball (it'd be small, but they could do it), and I could see it standing up to that kind of abuse. Seems durable.

It is even cuter in person as it is in the photo; however my one year old wasn't at all interested. I knew this was intended for a younger baby but thought she would like the faces....nope.

My one year old loves looking at faces in books and smiles when he sees close up faces on tv shows. I saw this toy and thought it would be a good stroller toy. Wrong. He had no interest in it whatsoever. Maybe this would be good for a younger baby but I regret purchasing it for my son.

Lamaze High-Contrast Discovery Shapes Activity Puzzle & Crib Gallery

My baby is 5 months old and since day 1, he has loved this more than any other toy, rattle, anything he could look at and play with. I don't know what his fascination is with this little book, but this was the BEST money ever spent. He can spend 30 minutes just looking at this, pulling at the things that come out, and seeing what happens. it is amazing! This is a must purchase! This goes with him daily to grandma's house (she keeps him while we work). I thought he would get bored with it, but he is now actually pulling the little animals out of their place. He has looked at this since he we got him home from the hospital. We would keep it on the black and white side a lot.

My baby son enjoyed this toy from his second month up until now, his fifth month. I hang it over the sofa while nursing so that he has a pattern to look at. I displayed the black and white pattern side the first 2 months and in the past month started showing the big eyed animal pictures. My son loves them, he focuses on each of the pictures separately, studies the details and after finishing his nursing he starts smiling and cooing at the little figures. It looks like he has developed some sort of communication with the little faces he sees on the pads. The padded material is easy to display or hang anywhere, horizontally and vertically and is easy to wash. I would highly recommend it for developing a baby's visual skills. It says the black and white pattern is for earlier months and the other side with animal heads is for 6 months and later.

Visually, this toy is a hit with my 4 month old. We hung it in his crib so that he could occupy himself (which gives us a couple extra minutes of sleep in the morning). Unfortunately it does not hang as well in the crib as I thought it would. If you face the black and white side so that he can see it, the ties are at the top and it hangs just fine. However in order to have the colorful animal side face out, the ties are at the bottom which makes the entire thing tilt at an angle. It doesn't seem to bother my son but all they had to do is add a second set of ties and this would be the perfect crib toy.

This toy is great because its thin enough for baby to hold onto and/or to chew on (everything in the mouth stage). The bright colors attract his attention and it is light weight enough for baby hold virtually anywhere.

Holgate Mail Truck

When I happened onto this little mail truck, I knew we had to have him. His adorable little face reminds me so much of my childhood, of playing with my parents old toys, and that's no real surprise. Holgate is a company that started making toys in 1929, and the wonderful retro designs on them are courtesy of Jarvis Rockwell (brother to the famous Norman Rockwell). This company's name seemed really familiar to me, and last time we were playing at my daughter's great-grandmother's house, I realized it was because the name "holgate" was stamped on the bottom of my dad's old 1950's wooden stacking toy. One that has been through 3 generations of kids, and hardly shows the wear for it. Holgate isn't kidding when they say their toys are made to last a lifetime... and then some.

But enough about history. I think this toy is a fantastic little creation, and the price isn't bad either. Made of American hardwoods, with non-toxic paints (which don't smell upon unpacking), this is one toy that won't offer any unpleasant surprises. It's a good size, unlike some of the German toys that occasionally do surprise me with how much smaller they look than the accompanying images portray them to be. The wooden sorting pieces are just large enough to not pose a major choking hazard, though gifting to the nearly two crowd would be the safest bet. I love the little wooden 'love letters', and suspect the kids will too. The unfinished wood on this truck is rich in color and has beautiful grain. He pulls nicely and smoothly across the floor (the pull cord on ours is multi-colored, retro-looking, not red), and I could see him him being a really versatile toy. He's a sorter, a pull toy, a ride for little Playmobil people, just a truck to go vroom vroom with, and a place to stash little letters that need to be delivered around imaginary towns.

I just can't wait to see how the kids like him Christmas morning, but I think I can safely say you couldn't go wrong with this mail truck. Very, very cool.

My grandmother used to have my mother's Holgate toys from the 1940s at her house when we came to visit. All of my cousins and I loved them, and now the great-grandchildren play with them too. I only just realized that Holgate still makes toys today, so I got this one for my 18-month old nephew for Christmas. He is really into trucks, and pulled it behind him for two weeks straight, even at the grocery store. He stopped playing with the shape sorter once he "solved" it, but he really likes putting the two wooden love letters through the mail slot. Lately, this toy has been transporting Thomas the Tank Engine and a bunch of blocks around the house while the nephew periodically makes it have crashes. It is pretty darn sturdy, luckily.

Made in the USA, which is a big selling point for me.

Polyester Pirate Loot Backpacks 12

I bought these as "loot bags" for my sons birthday/pirate party. They are large enough to fit lots of fun pirate treasure. They are not the best material for heavy items..but will cary lighter loads well. They stood up to 5 to 12yr old boys running around with them on for hours.

Manhattan Toy Wood Rattle

My daughter (8mo) loves it! However it's little too heavy for small babies to hold with little hands.

She had this when she was few months old, and she could bearly grab it, and bring it to her mouth but drops it on her face. I would recommend to the baby probably older than 6months old. It's a great toy! She enjoys rattling, and sometime just slides the pieces left and right with her fingers.

Very cute with bright and engaging colors, but the way that the rattle is shaped leaves no place to hold/shake in little hands. My daughter was very content to stare at it when she was little and watch other people shake it, but since it didnt have an area that she could easily grasp, it quickly fell to the bottom of our diaper bag. Great idea, unfortunate design.

My 7-month old loves this toy. It is very sturdy, easy for him to hold, and makes a nice sound when he shakes it. He chews on the ends and shakes it. Since it is wood, it has a different 'touch and feel' from the plastic rattles he has. It has different shapes for him to manipulate. I think he could have enjoyed this toy from an even earlier age.

We love zoo talkers products in general...my kids got the zoo itself and the safari truck for Christmas. My daughter also loves trains so this seemed like a logical choice and she loves it! And the white tiger and koala are awesome! :)

I bought this for my 8-month old granddaughter. I was looking for things to keep her entertained

while sitting on the floor. It's hard to keep her still. It worked. She loved it immediately.

I've bought several set of Fisher Price Little People over the years as gifts, and never been disappointed. I thought this gift would be a home run since it was Little People, animals and a train, but in this instance it wasn't as big of a hit as I thought it would be.

I didn't realize when I bought it that it is really meant to be a companion piece to the larger Zoo Talkers set. The quality of the set is Fisher Price, so it's cute, kids love the animals, the sounds and the colors, it's fairly durable and can withstand a lot of use, but unfortunately not all of the pieces make the noises like I thought they would since they were all sold together as a set. A big disappointment since the little one that I bought it for doesn't have the larger Zoo Talker set. I think this is basically a way for the toy manufacturer to sell more of both sets. Since the Zoo Talkers set doesn't have these animals included in the train set, but not all of the animals in the train set will work and make the sounds unless you have the larger Zoo set. I don't like that. I think that every piece sold with the set should work with the set without having to purchase another set to get them to work. This may be a way for them to try and sell more of everything, but instead it has made me a bit wary of buying more from them without checking online reviews first.

If you are looking for just a train, this might be fine but a little overpriced for what it does. If you have the larger Zoo Talkers set, I think you will probably really love it, but if you don't you may want to reconsider a different Little People set (like maybe the Farm).

My husband bought one of these at ToysRUs for our grandson's second birthday. What the product info doesn't tell you is that the sounds you get don't go with the animals that come with the train. You just get generic zoo sounds, played along with a very loud and annoying instrumental tune. Luckily, I had time to look for something else, and could return the FP zoo train. I ordered the iPlay Funtime Tractor from amazon, and it's a great toy!!!! My grandson loves it, and it has some educational value, unlike this zoo train.

If you're shopping for a toddler, you might want to see this zoo train IN PERSON before you buy it, to avoid having to return it. I wish that Fisher Price would reissue its original circus train: no batteries, just a handsome locomotive with a horn to push, and several great train cars to hitch and unhitch. The animals that came with the original circus train were posable and sturdy, and didn't look like blobs of plastic, which is what the present FP zoo animals look like.

This is our 2nd Zoo Talkers Toy. We also have the larger Zoo playset. This makes a nice complementary item to the larger set although you do not need to have both. I have two young children and I find my less active, more imaginative child enjoys playing with Zoo Talkers. There is not a lot of fancy things to it. You have your animals, the train, the Ferris wheel. The animals "talk" when you place them in the Ferris wheel. Of course your children are going to want to place every small toy they own in the Ferris wheel and they all won't talk but still fun to spin things around. You can order more animals to go with this, for more of the "talking" fun if that's what your kids enjoy. Mine could care less about that part at their young age (2.5 and 1). They are more into make the train go places and spinning the Ferris wheel around.

Bounce & Giggle - Pig

My husband got this for our son for Christmas and it is still one of his favorite toys. He has learned to "bite" the pigs nose to turn it on. This toy being across the room has encouraged him to crawl more. He gets very excited about the toy and knows it by the sound.

He has played with it in his highchair several times and loves to drop it to the floor and it's still going great as should any baby toy.

My daughter received this pig as a gift when she was a couple months old and both she and I have enjoyed the cute song and noises it makes and the shaking action is also fun. The batteries lasted for over a year. The downsides of this toy are that it is heavy, so you need to be careful about throwing or dropping it, and the button that you push on the nose to make it work really has to be done by an adult most kids cannot push hard enough.

Our daughter loves this cute pig, it is inexpensive and durable. She has dropped it several times from her high chair, and it still works. She likes the vibration and uses her mouth to make it work. Simple toy that keeps her entertained for a few minutes. She also has and loves the cow, but seems to pick the pig more often.

My four month loves the piggy, he goes crazy everytime I press the nose, which is not hard to activate so I have no idea what other people's problems were, even my son was able to press it. But I was shocked to see how much this was online, I got it for 9.99 at wal-mart and it was not on sale. I put it on his jumperoo play tray whenever I put him in it and everytime I press it, he jumps and kicks and giggles. Though I am constantly there to play with him so if your looking for a toy to occupy your baby so you can get work done, this is not the one, but it is certainly worth ten bucks at wal-mart! I tested on my son in the store, as soon as I pressed the button he giggled and tried to grab it. Though my son also rejects many common baby toys like teethers,rattles pacifiers, you name it...so I was over joyed to find something he freaked over.

This is the most adorable thing ever! It is so soft and totally cozy!!! It washes very nicely in the washer/dryer as well. The dryer helps "re-fluff" when it starts getting flat.

These are so cute but the reservoir is so shallow that it can't hold enough water to make the internal parts work. I very slowly drizzle a cup of water over it to make the pooh wheel spin. The Eyore does nothing and the elephant character has water come out it's trunk but this is to subtle to hold my toddlers attention. If the reservoir on top were deeper my son could do it on his own.

Manhattan Toy Sort-A-Shape Fun Cube

The concept of this toy is awesome but I was really disappointed. The sides are completely flimsy so it does not hold its shape at all. It is also rather small. The velcro on the opening barely works. Not worth the money.

This best part of this toy is that there are lots of different surfaces for baby to feel, and it is soft and safe for a child. Calling it a shape sorter is a bit of a misnomer because the three different shaped blocks will easily fit through any of the holes. Not difficult to push the square through the triangle, etc. Our granddaughter liked the blocks themselves and played with them, but did not have much interest in the cube.

I bought this toy for my 5 month old daughter. I did not want to buy toys that light up and make noise. She's a little young to be able to put the blocks in the holes, but she still plays with it. I feel this is a toy she can grow into. Right now she can pick it up and hold it and chew on the pieces. She seems to really like it!

Elf Boy Toddler or Infant Costume

I bought this because my son is going to be in a parade! He's only 5 months old, so I was really hoping the 6-12 month would fit him (doesn't come smaller). Sadly, no-it's HUGE. We're taking up the legs a little, and probably also taking in the seams of the jacket. I would say it definitely tends to the more 12 month range than the 6 month. It's a cute outfit, cuter than the others I've seen out there, so to me it's worth messing with a little to get it to fit. The only thing that concerned me was when I opened the package, there were a lot of loose threads stuck on the jacket. I hope this doesn't mean it will unravel later! I'll update the review if it does.

This elf costume was perfect! My son looked adorable next to his sister in her mrs. Claus dress! The shirt and pants are high quality. It didn't look like a cheap costume.

The seller sent it much sooner than stated so I was very pleased with my experience. I ordered the outfit a bit large since I wasn't sure if it would be smaller after washing but it was actually a tiny bit large for size so I would suggest buying the actual size since it experienced no shrinking. The only issue I had was with the product, NOT the seller, after washing, the red stripping on the hat and sleeves faded quite substantially to a pink. This was not something my husband was ok with our son wearing, so I just bought a red fabric marker and colored in the stripes. :) Other than that, we loved it! He'll be wearing it for Christmas :)

It is a very cute costume for the Christmas season and due to the fact that it is made of velvet it makes the costume more rich. It is very good to use for the Christmas photos and family/friends dinners. It is very comfortable to wear but I would suggest to wear your boy thick under vest and tights because the material is not very thick. My son really likes the costume and wants to pose everywhere with it to take photos :o)>
