We had the dog hanging on the crib and our 7 month old daughter would play with it when she woke up in the mornings. Recently, while she was playing with it, the ring that she pulls on to make the music play broke off. The toy is now broken. It is impossible to fix and just dangles limply on the side of the crib. The tag does say to pull gently, but that is hard to control in the hands of an infant. I'm glad she is too young to understand it is broken or we would have had tears.

I love this pullstring musical toy because it is cute, soft, and plays a lullaby. I got this pink one for my youngest, and a white one to replace a different one that broke for my 5-year-old (who still likes to be rocked at night). My 5 month old son seems to like grabbing and chewing on this, we nicknamed it "Spindly" due to the long thin arms and legs. It's quality made, and the little sweater can even be removed for washing separately if you want. There isn't a whole lot else to say about it, except that it is a very nice unique toy that is pretty cool. Depending on how attached our son gets to it, we might have to order a backup in case it's ever discontinued and the first one ever gets lost, hahaha!

My grandson (3 yoa) wanted blocks so he could build a *tower* I looked all over, researching blocks, wanting something that he could build with, knock down, walk on, throw, kick, etc. He's, hmmmm, very active. All boy. I found a recommendation for these blocks written by a woman who'd purchased them for her now adult son said they'd held up over the years, and that even now he would come home and occasionally build something with them. She said that they were rigid enough, once put together, that they could be stood on and not collapse. That was good enough for me.

She was correct. I purchased a couple different types of these blocks; spent a couple of hours one night before Christmas putting them together and gave them to him in great big gift bags. He loves them. He builds towers and forts and walls, and knocks them down and puts them back up!! They are as nice today as they were over a year ago when I purchased them.

The vendor is Brands On Sale ... I've had to call several times to check on my shipment, because they somehow lost my order and had to resubmit it ... you could die of old age while waiting for someone to actually answer the phone. I finally got someone to tell me the order shipped, but when I went to the Fed Ex site to track it, the shipment doesn't even exist. This is a Halloween costume so I need to know if I'll receive it on time or if I should go shopping at a REAL store! FRUSTRATING. Tiny Dragonfly Ring

Usually any jewelry under $100 gets chipped or dull and starts to bend, but this ring has a nice sheen and despite that everything gets caught under the tail of the dragonfly (hair, etc) it has yet to bend or break. Nice little fashion ring.

We bought this as my daughter was going through a stage where she loved to push little cars. This little guy never caught on in that way, because my daughter had begun waking by the time we gave him to her, but he's been a great toy for when we're out and about.

He is small (about the size of an adult palm), but that turns out to be just right for a toddler's small hands.

This is a neat product concept. Our two grand-daughters enjoyed it. It has been handled & dropped many times, no real problem. The only flaw is that the "record" button is too easy for little hands to depress and hold ( that means: "erase" the recording). Overall a minor flaw.

Taggies Developmental Baby Animal

This tiger is very cute, and seems to be well made. The fabric is a soft, low plush and overall it seems very cuddly. However, I was disappointed to find that all four feet contain plastic pellets. This fact was not mentioned in the product description as of the date of this review. As my older child has "beanie" toys that have developed holes and leak the beans, I am reluctant to give this to my baby for fear that it could become a choking hazard. Another reviewer stated that the toy is machine washable, but according to the tag on the toy, it is to be surface washed only.

We love this little lion, we were given him as a Christmas present and my son has loved him ever since. He is so soft to snuggle and my son loves to hold the tags too, and this little lion also helps my son go to sleep! I can machine wash him also, which is a big plus. We just purchased a second one just in case anything ever happens to the first one, we have a spare, that's how much we love him!

I also gave him as a baby shower gift, so I highly recommend him!

WOW Fireboat Felix - Bath Toys (2 Piece Set)

We have been very happy with this product line over all. Our grandson (20 mos.) loves the plane and fire engine. The boat, however, doesn't float in the bath very well tends to flip more easily than it floats. The squirting feature is ok but not enough to make it a good bath toy.

My 3 year old grandson likes it very much. It's really much more than a bath toy. He plays with it outside, I guess cleaning would be in line for bathtub toy fun.

I shopped around for a cabana to take to the beach, for my sons first visit. I found this one, and let me tell you, it was perfect! It was so easy to set up and take down, and it was sturdy enough to stand up to the high beach winds. I bought this for my infant for a trip to the beach. The sand was hot so i had to place a towel beneath the tent to shield the baby. Also, even with the mesh and the ample door opening, it still retains heat plus the light shines through (its a thin nylon material) creating a greenhouse effect. My baby was hot in there! I would place this in the shade next time I go to the beach.

LeapFrog Spin and Sing Alphabet Zoo

My ten-month old loves this toy. It has kept her attention longer then any other toy she owns. It has three musical settings which are pretty engaging to her. On one setting, the spinning of the ball is directly linked to the music, (the previous reviewer was right about it being one of the least annoying muzak in toydom), so when it stops spinningso does the song. So my baby girl stops whatever she has wandered away to do and goes back and spins it again. And again. And again.

Oh, bonus: it has volume control.

UPDATE: Three years later, baby girl #2 has proven how durable it is. She is somewhat more of a hard slapper then a spinner, but the little toy has held up well. I don't know what it is about this toy, but both my children really has gotten great use out of it.

This toy plays a really cute song that is quite catchy, to me at least. I also own the Leap frog alphabet one. My daughter (8 months) enjoys both but I think this one is more age appropriate for her. As with any toy they are not just going to learn the alphabet or differnt animals without some input on your part. My daughter enjoys any tow that she can spinn, so this was a no brainer.

Pros: Lots of different animal noises, cute and not annoying song, multiple setting for more fun/ learning.

Cons: The ball does not detach like the other leap frog learning ball. It is not as well made either. The other one is made of a soft rubber and is durable and easy to clean. This one is plastic and has a large sticker that goes around it. I haven't had much problem cleaning it so far(3 months), but with drool and a wet cloth to wipe it down I'm not sure how long the sticker will hold up. Also I know it is hard to find all animals starting with the correct letter of the alphabet and put a good noise to it, but some of them are just out there. For instance Umbrella bird, not a bad choice, but then put a bird noise to it instead of the random off the wall noise that they did, who cares if there are more than one bird noise on it.

Overall a really cute toy just wish it was a little higher quality like the other one that they made.

I originally bought this for my 6 month old son because it kept him engaged in the store while I shopped. Once we brought it home, I figured he would become bored with it. I am pleased to say he still plays with it 4 months later.

There are three song features. One that plays the ABC song while the wheel is spinning. One that starts "Spin, spin a letter..." If the wheel stopped spinning on the letter B, the lady's voice says, "B","B", and then a bird chirps. The third features animals that start with each letter of the alphabet. If the wheel stops spinning on the letter C, the lady's voice says, "CAT","CAT" followed by a cat's meow. The tunes are quite catchy and not annoying. My husband and I find ourselves singing the tunes as well. There are two volume options. When the ball is not spinning, no music is beging played, which is a great feature and it teaches cause and effect.

We have decided that this toy is indestructable as well. We use it on his high chair at times to keep him entertained while feeding him. I can't tell you how many times he has pushed this off his high chair, and we were certain it would break. It hasn't broken yet. Have only had to change the batteries. It is also easy to clean. The sticker with the letters and animals is glossy, so it is easy to wipe. The rest of it is hard plastic.

I would definitely recommend this toy! :-)

This toy is cute in the box. But it got played with maybe once. It doesn't hold any of my kids attention, and I have four of all different ages. It was a gift for a birthday, not something I would have bought. I try very hard to buy toys that my kids will really interact with because with four kids you have lots of toys, many that never really get used. Leapfrog makes many great toys that are educational and fun, but you still have to pick and choose for your kids personalities. This might be fun for a young baby, but not for much older than that.

This is my first review ever and oh how deserving this toy is!!! I love the Spin and sing alphabet zoo so much! I bought this toy for my daughter who is 1 year old. It was a Christmas gift. My daughter loves to carry it around the house and it seems very durable. My son is two and he loves to spin the wheel and to say the animals names. There is several ways to play and the music is catchy. It also has TWO volume selections which is nice. Now let me share one more funny thing about this toy. My daughter who is 6 and her cousin who is 12 love this toy too, I haven't had one person come over without giving it a spin. Its fun and educational and my favorite most played with toy. I would buy this toy again, or get one for a gift. You will find yourself giving it a spin...guaranteed. Hope this was helpful and have a great 2009!!!

I rarely buy anything without feedback, but I think this was on sale for $2 so I took a chance. There is no story at all, just three words on each page silly names for each twin. I do think that very young babies might enjoy the black and white pictures, so it would probably be a cute shower gift for an expectant mother of twins, or newborn twins. But my 18 month old twins are not interested at all.

Hevea Natural Rubber Pond Bath Toys

These toys are made of raw rubber, so that's what they look like raw rubber dark yellow colour toys with imperfections and some impurities, like a few tiny black specs. They have a mild rubbery scent, but it's not unpleasant. The toys are light,stretchy, soft and flexible, my 8 month old can easily squeeze and bend them. They are also great for teething. The size is perfect to fit little hands. There are no holes, so water cannot get in and mold won't grow inside. These toys are BPA, Phtalate and PVC free, are sustainably produced and are hand crafted in Europe (my package says "Made in Spain"). The packaging is produced from FSC certified forest, printed with canola oil,and even the window is based on cellulose. The design of the toys is very cute, and my baby loves them. They are not as pretty and flashy as some other toys, but they don't contain any paint, so this is to be expected. At least my baby has something safe to chew on in the tub. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase, and I wish the manufacturer made more products, like balls, blocks, etc.

I love the Hevea brand. They have wonderful, safe pacifiers and these bath toys are no different. My 5 month old loves playing with these and biting them and I feel good knowing they are safe enough for her to put in her mouth. They are one piece of natural rubber so they won't mold from bath water over time. A little on the expensive side, but worth it and the designs are so whimsical! Great product!

My Hikes--Adjust kids pant legs! (Dump Truck)

When you buy a pair of pants just a tad too long for your child, and need to keep them rolled up until he grows into them, these super cute Dump Truck clips help keep the pants rolled and in place! Great for keeping pants looking nice and not tracked on beneath the shoe. I love the texture of the dump truck and I had no problem clipping them onto my son's rolled pants. I think they'd be even better for girls because you can roll the pants even higher into cute capris with an added flower or butterfly as the MyHike clip holds in place :)

I got this design for my son. There's always a transition period when moving up to the next size when it seems like the smaller pants are too short and the next size up is too long. There's no point in hemming them with how fast kids grow. My Hikes worked out great. They were easy to clip into place. When applied right they stay on all day even with my son who I first started using these with when he was 2. He got compliments on the cool trucks on his pant legs too.

Melissa & Doug Deluxe First Bead Maze

I bought this toy originally thinking I would leave it at out-of-town grandma's. However, it was small enough that I decided to bring it home. It has suction cups on the bottom, which allow you to use it on a high chair or other place. My 8 month old likes to spin the pieces and is growing more interested in moving them around. Very well made. Would highly recommend. Only reason it's 4 stars instead of 5 is b/c it's a liked toy, but not a loved toy.

We got this toy for our 9 month old since he loves the bead mazes. It is small and portable, which is nice for traveling. The wood is smooth with no rough edges. The only minor inconvenience is that the suction cups don't work that well. Our 9 month old and 3 year old love this toy.

I bought this for my 4 1/2 month old because she seemed to concentrate on part of her Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper, Blue that was a similar activity (moving the blue and yellow musical notes on the purple bar if you have it at home). The indications were for 1 year +, so I figured worst case scenario we would just put it away if she wasn't ready for it yet. Boy, am I glad we got the bead maze early! At 4 1/2 months, she would stick her tongue out while she focused on moving the beads. It took her a couple weeks before she could shift them from one side to the other, but she definitely hasn't mastered it yet (we've had it for 6 weeks) which makes me feel like this toy will maintain her interest for a while. The paint doesn't seem like it would chip, despite her scratching at it with her razor-like fingernails and the beads constantly banging against the wires. The colors are vibrant, and it's lightweight. It's the perfect size to attach to her Fisher-Price Healthy Care Deluxe Booster Seat Blue/Green/Gray before or after meals, or when she's joining us at the dinner table.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the suction cups... they are great 90% of the time, but it sometimes they don't stick where I want (the plastic tray of the booster) and I can't get it off of the surface where I don't want it (the dining table)! Not a big deal, and I don't think it can be improved, but it is noticeable. Would still recommend it and getting it earlier than later!

Addendum 2/19/12: Daughter is now 10 1/2 months old. We put the bead maze away a couple months ago because she started gnawing on the wooden beads, enough that the wood and paint were being compromised. I know it's non-toxic paint, but we took it away (just like we did her other wooden puzzles and books that she chews). I read an idea from a parenting magazine where a dad said he put suction-cupped toys on the window. We put this and 2 other toys with suction cups on a window in her play room now that she's standing and walking... she loves them! She stands at the window and moves the beads on this toy, then goes to the next toy like she's on an assembly line... and doesn't chew on it anymore, even though she still tries to eat her books. So glad I read this (and wished I had come up with it myself...) so had to share!
