These are really cute, but lack much function. I am all for children using their imagination in play, but if one is going to buy a "toy" it should offer some interactive ability. It is too bulky for the assigned age group, the baby cannot grip the nesting box pieces to put them together and having a parent do it doesn't making it any move exciting. A much better toy for the 46 month and up age is the Tiny Love Musical Stack & Play.

I understand the reviews from others about these nest-n-play animals. They are very soft, so I can see how it may be difficult for a very small child to be able to get them to stack properly. I actually ordered them because I was thinking of using them to organize various items (like diaper cream, powder, etc.) in the nursery. I may be able to use the largest for this purpose, but not the other two. The picture (even with the baby) makes them look larger than they are.

This was the first toy (other than plush animals) I bought for my baby, who was around 3 months old at the time. It was one of the few toys I could find for that age. When it arrived, I was sort of unimpressed. But over time (the baby is now 8 months old), this toy has grown on both of us.

It is true, as others have said, there's not much to do here. The nesting function is still beyond my child's awareness so he pretty much just grabs the boxes and holds them. The largest one, the elephant, is definitely the favorite. It has an appealing face, crinkly ears, a ribbon for hair, and 3D butterflies sewn onto the sides. Baby just seems drawn to the sweetness of the largest block.

The tiny purple monkey doll that fits into the smallest block seemed kind of like a throwaway added-on accessory to me, but the baby sometimes will play with that thing for 30 min or more. It is nice to watch him just study it and take comfort in it.

Now with the baby a little bit older, we also use the largest block as a holder for the baby's Peek-a-Blocks and he enjoys removing them one-by-one. We also use the largest elephant block as a HAT! And that is probably the most fun of all. It is hilarious.

Recommended because it's simple, cute, inexpensive, doesn't make noise, and as he ages, the baby develops different ways to enjoy the simple pleasure that can be found here.

My baby loves this toy. He has since he was about 10 weeks old. He first started out swatting the faces which make either krinkle or rattle noises. The heads of the zebra and lion flip over. He loves to flip them around. The boxes are soft and light. He will pick them up and bring them to his mouth. I like to unstack the three boxes and put them in a semi circle around him. He independently plays with them for up to 30 minutes which is a long time for a baby that's not quite 3 months old. He verbalizes a lot when these toys are out. We've gotten much more response out of this simple colorful toy than anything else.

These are cute and colorful. He likes to put other things in the blocks too. The one thing I'm not sure of is washing. The box says nothing about it. I'm worried that they might not hold their shape in the washer, because they are soft.

Tiny Love Take Along Mobile

My 9 week old son just loves this mobile so much. He refused to stay in his pack n play bassinet while awake until I set this up for him. I think he likes this one more than the Precious Planet one in his crib. He talks to it and tries to bat at the little animals. Definitely one of the best purchases I have made. I also clip the mobile onto his car seat if we are out somewhere or to calm him down when getting ready to leave home. The music is not annoying either and volume on it is also great.

It's not the cutest mobile or the largest mobile ever, but for our purposes, we LOVE it! It fit great on the cradle until our infant moved into the crib. It went smoothly from the cradle to the crib the attachment is great. I think it helped the transition from beds as well. It fits onto the pack and play well which I think helps him still feel secure with the familiar mobile no matter which "bed" he's in.

I LOVE that you can choose between movement with music or JUST movement (no sound). I think all the mechanical/electronic mobile music sounds are always way too loud. The movement sound, which it does make, is simply like a white noise. I actually like the white noise it creates, because I think it helps drown out some of the bustling household noises during nap times for him.

I was hoping for a beautiful mobile that would coordinate with the decor, and it's sort of tacky-baby-toyish in that way. It's also sort of small sized mobile and the the toys are sort of cute. However, the functionality is great and he REALLY loves watching it and falling to sleep watching it, which is really it's purpose anyway!

I am thoroughly pleased with this product and I'm sure my wife and daughter would agree. Everything was as expected. We already have one mobile on our daughter's crib upstairs and wanted to have another downstairs since her wind up one broke. With the attachments, it can be put almost anywhere. Currently, we have it attached to the Rock N' Play with the arm. When we leave, we just un-velcro it from the arm and attach it to the car seat (Chicco Keyfit 30); it's great. I was afraid it was going to hang to far down in the car seat to where it was going to be in her face, but it is not; it's right where it should be. Music and battery life is good to go so far. We have been running Rayovac batteries for about 2 or 3 weeks now and it seems to still be going strong. We like it and it entertains our daughter. I recommend this product.

I like that this is portable, and I usually like the "tiny love" brand, but the mobile moves too slow, and there is no way to secure the arm from swinging around (we like to use it in the car to help distract and upset baby). Since the arm swings around, a parent has to hold it if you use it in a moving vehicle. On the positive side, I like that you can shut the music off and my 2-3 month old is entranced by the mobile.

This mobile fits nicely on my Arm's Reach Mini Co-sleeper just make sure you put the mobile right over the middle (and thickest) part of the ledge. It's been with my daughter since birth, and she's now 4 months old. It took a little bit of getting used to (probably about 1 month), but the soothing music is now a great help in putting her to sleep. I took off a star from the rating because the switch that changes between the OFF/Music/Mobile Only positions is hard to flip with one hand. I tried to do that a few times with my free hand while I have my daughter in my other arm, and I ended up almost knocking the mobile over. Also I wish there was volume control on this thing. But overall this is a great product and well worth the money.

Nessie Loch Ness Monster

My son (age 2) got this for Christmas and he LOVES it! He bounces on it, and rides is around. He'll sit on it to listen to stories, and lean on it when he's playing on the floor. Nothing he's done has caused the slightest blemish. His 6 and 7 year old cousins came to play, and even they couldn't put a dent in Nessie. The double hump is great for a single child, or for two. It's lightweight, too, so I don't worry about him tipping it over on himself. A great way to lose the indoor toy blues!

Chicco Toys Smart Driver (Spanish / English)

My son got this gift from Santa when he was a little over one year old. Now he's a little over two years and still plays with this. We are a bilingual family and so need toys that are versatile, and this toy is very durable as well. I have no complaints and can see this toy will make it through at least a couple of kids and then some! A winner!

I had high hopes for this toy based on the reviews, so I bought it for my 15 month old son for Christmas. He loves all things car-related, so he was interested in the steering wheel and seemed to enjoy the noises and lights.

There were two major problems with this toy. First, there are two settings for volume, but both settings were equally loud (and I mean LOUD). This could just be a problem with our individual unit, but it was quite annoying.

Second, and more importantly, within 2 months this toy's audio gave out altogether. The lights still work, but there is no sound at all. Granted, it has taken a lot of abuse from two young children, but given that it is made for young kids I would have expected more durability.

Overall, I was very disappointed in the longevity of this product and would not recommend it for younger children who may be too rough with it, as it doesn't appear to be very durable. My children have lost interest in it since it stopped making noise, so for the short time they played with it, it was not worth the price.

My son loves this toy! We got it for him when he was 4 months old and could only kick the buttons and chew on the key, and now that he's 10 months, he loves to pretend he's driving. He's pushed this toy off his highchair and out of his carseat several times and it hasn't broken at all. The rear-view mirror comes off and he's strong enough to take it off but he just likes to carry it around with him. Not necesarily made for the carseat, but you could put velcro on it and the carseat and attach it that way. Great toy!

Mother Goose Rhymes Soft 100% Cotton Children's Book

Very impressed when I first received this book. Looks exactly like the picture. Pages are very colorful. If you count the front and back page, there are twelve total pages. Has the stories of Jack and Jill; Pat a Cake; This Little Piggy; Row, Row, Row Your Boat; Hey Diddle Diddle; Humpty Dumpty; Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star; Hush a Bye Baby; Sleep, Baby, Sleep, (which I've never heard before); and Star Light, Star Bright. Hey Diddle Diddle is a two page story with the other stories showcased on a single page. The pages are numbered and each page has a little padding between them making the book sturdier. The reason for the four stars instead of five was on some of the pages in my book the bottom stitching was uneven in the middle giving the book a sloppy appearance. If all the pages were like that it wouldn't have been noticeable, but when compared to pages 4 and 5 and 8 and 9 which were stitched correctly you can really tell the difference in how the book should look. I could have overlooked the stitching, but there is something hard between the cover page and page 1 which is my main reason for rating it four stars. It feels like metal with points similar to a triangular. I can't get it to move between the pages to the bottom of the book where it would be less noticeable and safer. I don't think it will hurt my grandbaby because I'll be with her when she plays with it, but I'm still not sure if it will eventually tear the material and make it's way out of the book.

My daughters (aged 2 and 3) love Little People and they received this set as an Easter present. They have found it a great addition to their LIttle People collection.

As with all Little People sets it's a complete playset on it's own or you can use it in conjunction with any other Little People sets you have. All the people are interchangable in the vehicles, seats and houses.

The girls love this crane and find it easy to use. As with all Little People it's easy to keep clean, hold, play with and is great fun.

My son received this toy when he was 19 months. He played with it constantly--he loved moving the crane arm up and down and was easily able to do so by himself. Now at 2 1/4 yrs. old, he still loves this toy but is able to play with it in a more complex way. He also has the Fisher Price Little People dump truck and incorporates them in his play with the quarry. This toy is a great addition to your other Little People and is also a great toy all on its own. It's also very durable, easy to clean and small enough to take to grandmom's.

This looked cute at first but there's not much to it. My 2 year old has only recently started playing with this on a regular basis and we've had it over a year. Usually it's his little plastic Finding Nemo characters that are using it as a house. And he likes to use the claw to throw his action figures around. I had to take the batteries out of it since every slight movement turns it into an ear wrenching experience. My son has actually told me to make it stop. But it's not all bad. It's just very basic and the noises it makes are terrible.

My little boy (2 1/2) loved this toy when he first got it two months ago. My biggest complaint with the toy is that it has such obnoxious sound effects that go off with the slightest little movement. (Really, I think that sometimes it might go off just by looking at it the wrong way!) I probably wouldn't keep it around if my boy didn't like it so much. I suppose most toys are noisy, and most don't bother me, but this one does.

Duck Toddler Costume

Ordered this costume for my 16 month old daughter for Halloween. The fit on the body was generous but appropriate given that she needed to wear a layer of clothes underneath. The fit of the headpiece was a bit too large for herit kept dropping over her eyes. As she is the size of an average 2-2.5 year old, I felt that the headpiece was a bit out of proportion. A longer hook and loop strip or a short ribbon tie would improve fit on this part of the costume.

She loved wearing the body and shoe covers, though she pulled the headpiece off repeatedly. She seemed comfortable as wellnot too cold or hot. The costume is too thick to wear in a carseat, but I think a child could wear it in a stroller.

Overall, this costume was a great deal and I was satisfied with my purchase.

I ordered this costume for my 3 yr old daughter who is on the petite side.... it fit her well and definitely still has room to grow. She LOVED the costume... very warm, soft, not scratchy and the hat part was adorable. Don't hesitate, it's perfect!

I got this for my girlfriend as her first teddy bear. She is 15 but she still loves it to death. It might just be because it was from me but im happy that i got it for her. definitely good for a baby or a child as well. :P

Like the previous reviewer, my son has had this bear since he was born. He is now 4 years old and this bear has been through everything! The bear is extremely durable through dragging, throwing, pulling, washing, drying, etc. Aside from being a little worn, his body and face are still in tact. He liked it well enough, however, the first time it hit the floor one of the wheels fell off, and it was the wheel that made the noise. Since he was interested only in the broken wheel we had to toss it as the wheel alone is a choking hazard. Good idea; nice colors; responsive to shaking/actions; poor construction.

I know my son is rough on things…but we love our Plan Caterpillar and he has always held strong. If you have a particularly destructive child i would not go for this one. The propeller is held on by a sturdy elastic embedded twice into a dowel. The elastic simply didn't stand a chance against my curious almost 3 year old. This surprises me only because our beloved caterpillar is held together with the same elastic and is undamaged almost 2 years later. This is not without the usual amount of pulling, twisting, exploring, throwing… you get the idea. I will be contacting the company but I doubt much can be done.

I bought this for my son's first birthday. It's so cute, and I love that it is responsibly made. He enjoys pushing it around.

This is my daughter's favorite doll! She got it for her first birthday, and has played with it everyday for 9 months. It is so lifelike. You can clean it by putting it in a pillocase and running it through the washer and dryer.

My 2-year old daughter like this cute doll very much. She holds her all the time ever since she got it last weekend. The doll is very cute and very easy for a little girl to carry. I ordered this as a second baby doll for my 2 1/2 year old for Christmas. She already has the Madame Alexander my first baby in pink. I wanted a baby doll with hair she can comb and I wanted it to look like a newborn versus a little girl. This baby has a soft head that can be squished. The Madame Alexander doll has a head almost as hard as a baseball which has hurt a few times when thrown during play. Like the Alexander doll it is the perfect size for my little toddler which makes it a good first baby, though it does say 18 months and up. A very small baby doll with a nice weight. It is a really nice doll and I am very happy with it. She has a sweet smell. The eyes sparkle in the light and the hair is really nice.

Maple Teethers

My 7 month old daughter LOVES these! I also have 3 of the Waldorf teethers and I like these much better. They are smoother and don't require waxing. These are very easy for her to grab and get into her mouth.

These are gorgeous -very well made. My baby is just 4 months old and isn't too interested in them yet (she's just learning to grab and her little mouth doesn't quite fit around the teether)...but I bet she'll really love them in a couple months. If you're looking for a reasonably priced Waldorf-type teether (these are JUST as good quality as the super expensive Waldorf teethers I've seen) buy this. And I'm not easily pleased.

I love it! I do not need to worry about what kind of chemicals are on it or if it may leach into my baby. Yes there is no finish on it, but that is what you want, you do not want this riddled with chemicals, be glad it does not have a finish on it. It is not rough it is smooth. I put 1 drop of clove oil to 2 tablespoon organic extra virgin olive oil then rub that on the toy, the clove oil help to numb the mouth naturally ( you MUST use olive oil no water with the clove oil and use no less then 2 tablespoons to 1 drop ).

These teethers are unbelievably smooth and made of a very hard maple; there's no chance of splintering, a concern of mine before they arrived. I love that each teether is slightly different in its shape and wood grain, a real handmade item (or at least it appears to be handmade, as each is unique). They're a perfect size to fit in a baby's small hands, and the angled or rounded edges are just right for fitting between a baby's sore gums. Each comes with a tiny stamp with the name of the maker in Vermont and the date it was made--ours are stamped with 6/10, which means they were made only a month ago. We have a baby who is just starting to teeth, and he likes gnawing on these. Good all-natural product--I'm glad we purchased them.
