Radio Flyer Umbrella Accessory

I have one of these for my daughter's Discovery wagon that she just recieved for her birthday. I only got it because I thought it was my only option, and no other clamp-on umbrella would work. First of all, this umbrella is WAY TOO SMALL. The only part of your child this would shade is his/her head. And if you have more than one child, FORGET IT. I've only used it a few times, and so far it hasn't broken, like some of the reviews I read. I plan to be very careful with it. My mother-in -law had a clamp-on patio chair umbrella that was MUCH BIGGER, and when I looked at it, I decided it wouldn't work, because the clamp goes sideways, but then I thought of clamping it on the drink-holder. IT WORKED! So now I use both umbrellas. The small one for my daughter's head (clamped on the end) and the big one for the rest of her. It may look silly to some people when they see us on the street, but I don't care. I have peace of mind, and that's what's important. So this is my suggestion. If you have one, and it still works, keep it, and get a patio chair one like I did. If it has a sideways screw-on clamp, buy it, it will work if you have the Discovery wagon.Thank goodness for the drink holder. And yes, you'll still have room for your drinks.

I had high hopes for this umbrella, but it utterly disappointed me. After using it approximately 3 times, the pole is about to break in half where the little button is that extends the umbrella part. The pole is just not strong enough and will surely end up breaking in half. The spring is not very malleable, either.

I loved this umbrella and felt it an important part of my daughter's (and my) enjoyment of her wagon it shaded her from the sun, allowed her to play with her toys and look at books and gave me peace of mind knowing that she wasn't being burned to a crisp by the sun. There is a bendable portion to the post at the base, near the clip. I adjusted the angle of the umbrella quite often depending on the location of the sun. However, after only 2 months of use, the metal post on the unbrella became weakened and dented, and it finally snapped. I wish it was made to last longer. I am going to replace the broken, but will be more careful when bending it at the base and I recommend the same to anyone who buys it.

I was thrilled to find a clip-on umbrella that BENT around to cover any angle, but the first time I tried to use it (in the blazing heat during a 4th of July parade) the plastic clip snapped. Very disappointing!

We have this for our radioflyer woodsided wagon and it works very well. It's a bit on the small side, same size a regular childs umbrella, but it works. Also, the small size is about the same width as the wagon, so it's easy to fit thru any doorways, gates, etc...while in the open position that the wagon can.

I rated it 4 stars for fun since my 2 year old loves to play with it (a lot). I think it's great to have and advise anyone with this type of wagon to get it too.

Rumblies Danny Dump Truck

An excellent first truck. No sharp edges and soft enough to clutch, hold and fall on without injury. Good, safe introduction to pushing and pulling, putting things in and the delight of dumping them out (it really dumps). The little light on top works for just enough thrill without being obnoxious. An excellent toy that encourages interactive play and doesn't create that imagination-killing dependency on electronic wizardry.

My 9 month-old continues to enjoy it at 13 months. Its softness makes it more susceptible to falling over, requiring quick action to right it before a wail commences.

We purchised Danny after recieving the Terry tow truck. They are soft so little ones don't hurt themselves, and entertaining without being spastic like so many infant and toddler toys are today. He really dumps!

Nothing about this toy seems baby friendly, Im not so sure whoever made it has every even met a baby.

It is hard heavy plastic and hurts baby when she is playing with it laying on her back.

Also, I dont know about your babies but with mine everything went right to the mouth! That being said, the top clear part and the reflective under part are not sealed! Baby drool and or water if you try to clean it get inside the cavity and does not come out. It caused a damp condition ideal for mold. Gross

My daughter has two of these rattles. We keep one in the car seat with her and one in the diaper bag just in case we can't find her first one. We have better rattles than this one, but it works perfect for when we are out and she needs to be entertained. I love that she can old it or out it on her wrist and shake it. The quality isn't he best, but it works and seems safe enough for use when we are out. That being said, I am not sure I would use it as an everyday rattle for her.

I ordered this for my kids, and it came in 3 separate packages, that the product JUST fit into. It would be like doing a puzzle (and then trying to slide that puzzle into a snap-top bag) every time you want to put it away. Although that might be fun for the kids, it is not so fun for the parents who clean up the majority of time. The blocks are great, and the kids love them, I just wish they came in a reuseable storage bag.

A hammer....a ball....kids delight. The tools are fun and the boy likes it. He also has a Fisher Price toy that is very similiar, which I think is a bigger hit overall...but for the price, this is a fun addition.

I bought them as a gift for a freinds one year old. He loves it. I'm not so sure I would have paid the full 30 dollor price, but for the sale price of twelve bucks it great.

You need a child with strong arm to knock those musical knobs hard enough to make a sound. The middle, yellow knob, hardly plays misic when I pound it..one thing I don't like is that the whole thing easilygets knocked down, for a child on the younger side, 13 months, he barelyleans on it and down it goes.

Hearts Pacifier Chain

My daughter loves this pacifier chain. We get tons of compliments on it all the time. Besides being so darn cute and vibrant the best thing about this chain is that she can not remove the pacifier and has not been able to remove the clip. All other chains with velcro leave us with no pacifier because she takes it apart and throws her pacifier away.

I love all Haba toys as they are usually of excellent quality. This one, however, came apart after 2 weeks. It. is a chain of wooden individual pieces. Babies love to chew on these chains, especially while teething. Fortunately, I noticed that one of the elements came apart before my daughter could choke on it. The drilled hole in the piece must have been too big and thus caused thhe whole piece to crack. I broke it off the chain. A few days later I saw another crack on the next individual part and also broke this off, before my baby could choke on this part. I then threw the whole chain away. I am really disappointed by this product's quality and will contact Haba about this.

The latch is easy to use and secure, always important for pacifier chains, but my 6 month old loved to chew on the wooden hearts and the cord broke! When it fell apart we had a close disaster with her almost swallowing small beads!! Not a good thing.

I took the toy out and recognized the familiar natural rubber feel and smell. I washed it as my daughter was playing in her crib and she immediately started responding to the squeaking sound as I was handling it. I brought it to her and introduced it by making a few squeaks and then gently put her hands on it so she could feel it. I then helped her to squeeze it. She was excited so I helped her to place the loop in her mouth. She started chewing it and flashed a huge grin. We have this and Sophie the giraffe, and our son loves both.

This one is made of thinner/softer rubber than Sophie, and is a simpler shape, so it's easier for him to get a nice big hunk in his mouth and bear down when his gums are hurting.

I also like the handle on the head of the yellow one. It is very easy for my 5.5 month old to grasp and play with. The small loop handle also makes it simple to attach the toy to the stroller or carrier we're using with a pacifier clip, so that it's not dropped/lost.

He honestly plays with both Sophie and this about the same amount, so I'm happy that we bought both.

We bought this item first because Sophie was too expensive and we weren't sure we were going to love it. First off, our daughter LOVED Chan. He's easy for young babies to grip and has that ever-so-familiar head for all the nursing babies. Our daughter used it all the time while teething; it was so effective that we didn't know she was teething until her teeth popped out! Well, needless to say, we loved it so much that we splurged on Sophie too! Sophie was welcomed, but not as much as Chan. Sophie doesn't squeak as easily and has more nooks and crannies that aren't so familiar. Although Sophie is good, Chan is GREAT!

She started using it at 4 months and is now 9 months and chomps on it just like she did 5 months ago! We can't say that for many of her other toys!

This toy is too soft for my teether. My baby is really looking for something that they can "sink their gums into". This toy is a soft, thin, rubber, squeaky toy, there really isn't a lot to it. Yes it is light weight, but we need a harder surface since my baby still prefers to munch on my thumb knuckles,(which is starting to be a bit much) than this toy. If your baby is really looking for something to really chomp on, this toy is way too flimsy, and NOT the toy for you, keep looking.

This toy has become on of my baby's favorite AFTER his teeth have started "sprouting"it's soft enough to not irritate sensitive gums ,yet swishy enough to provide the chewiness required. Great for after 5 months.

This little guy we call him "blue man" is odd looking but my 7 m.o. daughter loves him. She got him when she was 2 months old and has loved him more and more. He's made out of the same soft but sturdy rubber that Sophie the Giraffe is made out of. He squeaks when you squeeze him and the air going in and out makes his head bob up and down. The knob on the top of his head is kind of like a nipple and my daughter sucks on it like it is it's a toy, a squeaker, a pacifier, etc. We take "blue man" everywhere. He's just the right size for little hands. But, like Sophie, don't get him wet it muffles his squeak and it's really hard to get the water out.

Magnetic Poetry Kids' Chinese Kit

This set of magnets is useful for anyone first learning to read Chinese, including adults. It includes just over 140 magnets, with a few key words ("I", "to be", "you", etc.) duplicated a few times. Several key Chinese particles and category words ("le", "de", "ge", etc.) are included, so you can compose actual grammatical Chinese sentences. The characters are aesthetically pleasing. This is a quality product with thought behind it.

My set included an envelope with two corrected tiles (the originals had incorrect pinyin).

I agree with the other reviewers that it would be much better to have the pinyin (Roman alphabet Chinese) on the reverse with the English: not only does it make the tiles less useful for character memorization, but also the refrigerator calligraphy you make with the tiles isn't as pretty.

A little bit of Chinese knowledge is helpful for enjoying these tiles, but they're entirely suitable for anyone who has had their first few lessons of Chinese.

I had initially gone looking for this for myself, but ended up buying it for my nieces first. They love it. They watch enough Ni Hao Kai-Lan to appreciate Chinese, plus they know my interest. They are barely school-age, but these magnets are great because they're relatively simple in vocabulary, yet enough to stoke their curiosity.

I purchased my own set, as well. I wasn't thrilled about having the Pinyin (pronunciation guide) printed above the characters, but the magnets are soft enough that you can cut them off with scissors fairly easily. (Though I know Chinese well, I find that I stop reading the character and start reading the Pinyin words).

My only regret is that they don't have expansion sets. Overall, this is a great product.

My son learned his letter sounds with letters on the refrigerator. My son learned to put together letters to make words with the letters on the refrigerator. And now, for the past 15 months, my son has been in Chinese Immersion school...it only makes since that has another reinforcement activity on the refrigerator!

I don't know a thing about Chinese, but I do know that my son is doing an awesome job reviewing the Chinese characters on the refrigerator like he did when he was a toddler. He also loves to leave messages for me and tries to get me to learn to read it as well.

Perhaps it was just good timing, but I am thrilled to have the pinyin on the same side as the character. The past 14 months of his instruction focused on the character. His class just began working on pinyin this month! I am very happy that he is able to put the character together with the pinyin!

I am also thrilled with the price! Most Chinese reinforcement content that I have come across is pretty spendy....but these are comparable to the amount that I was spending on the English letters/words gadgets that also went on the refrigerator!

Though this kit is classified as a toy, it may not work for very young (under 10 or 12) children because the magnetic squares are small. I use mine on the refrigerator door, but you can also use them on the metal box lid or any other magnetic surface. For kids, a metal easel would be a really good accessory. The tiles are the same material as magnetic business cards -maybe not quite as sturdy because of their smaller size. They are black on white and large enough to read easily (though not from a distance), but they only have the Pinyin word and the character on the side that faces out. The corresponding English word is in white on dark grey on the side that one sticks to the metal surface. There are duplicate tiles for frequently used words. They are definitely meant for active learning, not just as visual reminders of past learning. For a children's toy, I wish they were a little larger and more colorful, perhaps a different color for each part of speech. The kit is best suited to older children and adults who are actively engaged in fairly formal study of the Chinese language or who already speak it. Then they could be used for word scrabble games to make sentences with the available tiles.

Disney Pooh Rainbow Rattle

This is a great rattle for little ones. It has bright colors to draw baby's attention and various textures for them to play with. Plus Pooh's arms are crinkly which is an added noise for kids to enjoy.

I make Unique diaper cakes. The theme was Disney Characters and thought this

item would go just perfect for the design I was going for. Then I received it in the mail and the rattle is Pink w/white dots. Looking at the pic (didn't read the description unfortunately), I thought it was Red w/white dots. Munchkin 28-Piece Bath Toy Set

We already had an overload of toddler toys from our first grandson for the second to play with, so for #2's first birthday we decided to go with a big box of assorted bath toys. Oh my goodness! It's so hard to find something for my son that he can play with since he's only 3 months and it's hard for him to even hold things. He tends to be happier if he keeps his hands busy (characteristic of a Scorpio [late October to late November]), so up to now all I can find for him are skinny rattles. We bought him this about three weeks ago and I put it on his carseat and HE LOVES IT!!! I cannot give a rave enough review. When he wakes up, instead of crying he sits there and stares at it. I bought 4 Lamaze toys based on their 5 stars reviews, Buzz the Bug, Freddie the Firefly, Mortimer the Moose, and Jacques the Peacock. They are all beautiful and good quality and all have teething rings, squeakers, crinkles, and rattles. BUT to be honest Jacques the Peacock beats them all so easily, my baby only cares about jack. When she was born I show her the High contrast Black and White dots on jack's wings, and she was so mesmerized for several minutes.. While I agree that all Lamaze baby products are good and worth buying, but I think 1 or 2 is enough.

I got this for my baby when she was 6 months old because she seemed attracted to the vivid colors. There's so much for her to do with it! She's nearly 11 months now and the bug still gets a smile every time I shake it at her (it makes a pleasant rattle-y jingly noise). With a squeaker, crinkly wings, lots of shapes and colors, it has a lot of variety. The floppy legs are easy to hold and it's a real sturdy toy much chewing and tugging and tossing haven't affected it at all. It's even withstood some abuse from the 4 year old and looks just great!

The adorable Quacking Duck Family, as we call it, was donated to my Infant/Ones Classroom and I was skeptical but the kids love it! I bring it out as a special treat because they fight over it so much. The quacking is not as annoying as I expected and the childrens' enjoyment far out-weighs any possible annoyance. Like all toddler pull toys, it does fall over easily but my bigger kids are learning to stand it back up and keep going while my littler kids just keep pulling without worrying about the ducks. I personally don't see the draw of pull toys but this one is a winner I would highly recommend buying.

I bought this for my one-year-old granddaughter. It is very cute and from what I can see without removing it from the box, it seems well-made. The string looks a little flimsy at first glance, though.

BUT the real problem with this toy is it has a long, loud quack-quack routine that would get on any parent's last nerve if it were used indoors for more than 30 seconds.

You can not help but not want to hug this Tickle Toes Monkey. His fur is soft and by pressing his foot you can hear him giggle. I think his size of 10" is perfect for a little one to hold and play with. This would make a great present for a baby shower or a birthday. Love him!

Radio Flyer 3-in-1 Walker Wagon, Pink

We received the Radio Flyer "3-in-1" as a Christmas gift. My daughter is 15 months, and was an early walker, so the "learning" angle of this toy was limited for us. Like another reviewer, however, I would hesitate to use this toy for a child that hasn't really grasped walking yet, as the axles are very smooth and there is less friction than in other walker/ride-ons. This is a huge plus, however, for little ones that already know how to walk, as it is less frustrating to push around.

Although I am happy with "ride-on" mode of this toy (pictured), the "wagon" and "walker" modes are not very good. The darker-pink "shell" of the toy clips into the "ride" position, and can be unclipped for the "walker" and "wagon" configurations. However, for these modes, there is no way to secure the shell, it is very loose, and easily comes off. This essentially turns the toy into a scooter. There are ample warnings against letting your child use the toy in "scooter" mode, but all the child has to do is lift the shell off when using "wagon" mode, and voilà, instant scooter. (another caveat the instructions warn against letting children ride inside the "wagon" or "stroller," but a child's bottom fits very comfortably within the shell, and the temptation to get in is really too strong for any child to resist).

I fixed this problem by drilling two holes through the shell and into the base and securing the shell in "wagon" mode with plastic bolts. This fixed the problem, but it is very frustrating that this step was necessary. I would have simply left the shell in "ride" mode except, at 15 months, my daughter's legs are not long enough yet.

Despite the obvious design flaw, the toy is very well-made, rides very easily compared to most walker/riders, and is pretty adorable. Those prepared to drill a couple holes, etc, will enjoy the versatility of the toy. Everyone else should just stick with "ride" mode and wait until the child is old enough to have their feet touch the ground while riding.

I bought two of these 3-in-1 walkers the red one for my nephew and the pink one for my daughter who turned one within a few weeks of each other because I love the idea of a toy having multiple functions. I am a little disappointed with this product though for several reasons.

Ride on mode: The seat is very slick and small it is easy for a small child to slip forward or backward off of it. It is hard to push the child when they are riding on it. There is also no way for a child to steer the toy.

Push walker/stroller: The wheels on this are very slick which means it slides easily. And it is hard to steer.

Pull wagon: When you flip the bucket for wagon mode, there is no way to secure the bucket part so it is easily removable. Once removed, the toy looks like a scooter which is dangerous and not what it was designed for.

In conclusion, I would not pay full price for this toy (thankfully I got mine for 75% off). My daughter has enjoyed aspects of it but buyer please beware of the limitations of its functionality.

We bought this for our daughter's first birthday. She is getting ready to walk and we thought a toy she could push around would help her learn to take those first steps. This toy is darling, and easy to assemble. It is made of very light-weight plastic, and the wheels are very slick plastic. We found our daughter can only walk this toy around is if she pushes it, on the carpet, from the side. If she gets behind it, or gets her hands up on the handles, it moves way too fast for her. When she is older and can ride on it, it will be great fun. Until then it has limited use. The seat can flip over to be filled up with toys, but it does not snap into place. It only sits on the base, so it too is very unsturdy. I bought it because Radio Flyer makes those wonderful wagons, but this toy has nothing to do with those wagons. It should be weightier and should have rubber wheels instead of light-weight plastic.

She can ride it, push toys around in it, and even uses it as a 'stroller' for her big stuffed bear! This item is so cute, she loves it & calls it Buggy! (Sounds more like Blugy when she says it!)
