UPDATE 12/5/12--My son can ride this toy just fine now at the age of 23 months. He learned to ride on another bike first. His legs are obviously longer and his dexterity is much better than it was when I first wrote the review. I'm glad to finally be able to use it. He did much better initially using the radio flyer bike. This Boikido bike seems to not be the best choice for initially learning to ride and maneuver.

B. Dr. Doctor
Very safe for younger children is the best thing about this toy! As a child development specialist, this is the first thing I look for. I was looking for toys to have at my house for grandchildren that were safe and had some learning value. This toy works. Most of the Dr. Kits are for 3 and up, but really you need that type pretend play when they are younger and more fearful of routine Dr visits. This kit was safe for my 15 month old, but enjoyed by my 3 1/2 year old. The toys are safe for younger children, but look enough like real tools for them to be able to associate it with the real Dr.'s tool. I was not sure about the 'pager', but you will be glad the buttons are hard to press, because it is noisy, hopefully they figure out how to push it when they can understand quiet time! The box is large, but it allows you to add a white shirt (Dr. Coat,)empty band aid box, etc. as they get older for more imaginative play. I wish all toys with pieces came in a reusable storage container!
When I asked my daughter about her recent Dr. visit with the 18 month old, she said it was great, she thought the Dr. play with the kit was helpful. Did not seem as fearful.
I plan to order 2 more for Christmas gifts.Does your little one check your ears with a glue gun; does he/she 'zamine your heart with anything that can be hung around his/her neck? If so, you may have a doctor in the house, and the "B. Doctor" set is just what your child needs for creative, imaginative play.
The roomy "doctor bag" provides a handy container for the nine tools that are included in the set. To adults, it may seem a bit too large, but smaller children find it easy to use as they do not have to carefully pack things to have them all fit. The stethescope is particularly nice its simulated heartbeat brought shouts of glee when my grandson first used it on "Papa." While there is a pager included in the kit, the manufacturer might consider replacing it with a toy "smart phone" so it is more in keeping with current trends. The other instruments otoscope, blood-pressure cuff, thermometer, oral mirror, tweezers, syringe, and scissors provide a variety of "healthcare" options and help foster imaginative play.
"B. Doctor" is constructed and finished well. There are no rough edges that could cut tender skin and no itty-bitty copmponents that might accidentally get put somewhere they should not have gone.
"B. Doctor" is definitly a 5-star toy. However, you should be aware that the price fluctuates greatly; I have seen it on Amazon from as low as $21+ to somewhere in the $30 range. My daughter got her son's "B. Doctor" at the red bullseye store for $22, so be sure to shop around for the best price. As a grandma, I purchased the B. Doctor Kit for my home so that the grandkids could play with it. They equally all love playing with it! The case is a bit bigger than it needs to be, but you can add items to it, such as play scrubs. The beeper is really cool and works just fine...but you have to teach the child to hold the buttons down for them to work. Once they understand that, it is no problem for them. I highly recommend this kit.
I much prefer the B. Doctor Kit to the Fisher-Price Dr Kit. My own children had that years ago and I really loved it. But now, unless you have a girl and can buy the pink set, it comes in a material tote with a simple velcro closure and the tools fall out, and there are no where near the items that there used to be in it.

I bought this for my 2 year old son after a trip to the doctor, thinking it would be fun for him to play with replicas of the same items the doctor used that day. This seemed like a nice, basic, kit. But we were terribly disappointed. For starters, the case is enormous much too large to be easily portable, and much larger than necessary for the few items that come inside of it. It's awkward and takes up too much space (plus, it doesn't even look like a doctor's medical bag!). The top is difficult to open my son can't do it himself. But worst of all was the quality and design of the items inside the case... All were made of super cheap, light, poorly molded plastic. The syringe fell apart within about 2 minutes of taking it out of the box (the plunger isn't connected to the rest of it, and promptly fell out and got lost). The stethoscope ear pieces are way too large to fit in any child's ear or any adult's ear for that matter. So uncomfortable, my son couldn't bear to use them for more than about 30 seconds. And the stethoscope isn't even a "real" working device that can pick up a heartbeat, like all the other toy kits have... the end is simply a cheap machine that makes fake "heartbeat" noises (which sound like static) when you push a button. How disappointing! The thermometer also looks/operates nothing like a real thermometer it's quite strangely designed. I returned this kit the day after buying it, and bought one by another manufacturer that was infinitely better...The case and items inside are designed so awkwardly that a child won't find them fun or even be able to open the box. The toys inside are difficult to manipulate, the parts that move are sticky or just didn't fit right. The case is such a strange design, I don't know why there is a graphic on top that looks like a homeless person's scarf, and the box has flimsy plastic windows on the sides that will surely break in 1 or 2 uses. We sent it back as soon as we got it. Really junk.UPDATE:
We bought the Fisher Price Medical kit for substantially less than this one, and it is exactly what we expected for our little one.

The First Years Star Teething Blanket
The blanket has a dark blue textured rubber corner..
There is a red corduroy corner which squeaks when pressed.
The corner with zebra pattern crinkles.
The other two corner has a silky-satin feel. Among these the corner with multicolor has a slit and comes with a link to hang the blanket onto something. I used to attach the blanket to my baby's bouncer seat before but now that she is older she can find it on her own.
The center green star part also crinkles.
It is a good addition to her toys. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is supposed to be a teething blanket but my baby did not find comfort biting on any of the corners while teething. If you are looking for something just for teething, my recommendation would be to try 'vullie sophie the giraffe'. I came to know of it after wasting a lot of money on teethers and that is by far the best. However, if you would like something to teach your baby different textures and have fun with bright colors, this is the blanket for you.
Hope this helps :)

My 6 month old son loves this toy! I leave it in the car so that he has something to do in the carseat. One of its best aspects is that if he drops it (and what baby won't?) it just lands in his lap so he can pick it up again. Most other toys would end up on the floor of the car. He also loves the crinkly center and the teething edges.Read Best Reviews of The First Years Star Teething Blanket Here
This is seriously the best blankey toy ever! The crinkle sound is the bee's knees! I have a daycare and it is the most popular toys for my 6 mo old and 5 mo old!!! They love it! It does need to be washed in a pillow case though, according to directions on tag, but I have washed in right in my machine without a case and it's been fine. can be fluffed in dryer on low at the end of a load of laundry.I have not had problems with pilling or the squeaker. It spot washes super easily and hand washes just as easily. Have fun!!Want The First Years Star Teething Blanket Discount?
My son is now almost 10 months and doesn't play with this toy as much, but when he was 4 months, this was his #1! It is about the size of a washcloth, so don't be mistaken that it's a blanket, it is just cloth material so that's why it's called that. He loved all of the colors & noises it makes! His favorite was the dark blue rubber corner of the star he is always chewing on everything (he had 2 teeth at 3 months) so this toy was perfect. This toy was always perfect for playing peek-a-boo also! The zebra corner crinkles, and that always seemed to catch his attention. The one negative: The red corner is a squeaker. I've had to wash this toy numerous times (due to him spitting up on it, or just getting gross from him sucking on it) and after about the 3rd time, the squeaker stopped working. It's not a huge deal, consitering when my son learned how to squeak it, the dog went nuts :) Overall, it's a great toy, and will definitely be passed on to our next child! Highly recommend!

Little Tikes Rocking Horse Magenta
Little tikes toys are very high quality, this toy will easily last through several children, on to a yard sale and through a few more families. It is all one piece, so there isn't anything to chip or break off. This has become one of my niece's (now 16 months) favorite toys. Highly recommended! We bought this toy for my daughter's 1st birthday. We had looked online at a variety of other rocking horses but most cost too much for something that they will outgrow in a few years. My daughter loves her Little Tikes Rocking horse. Secret: Even her older brother rides on her pink horse. We couldn't be happier with our purchase.

I bought this rocking horse for my granddaughter's 1st birthday and for a couple weeks, she would have nothing to do with it, she seemed to be afraid of it. She finally warmed up to it and can get on and off by herself. She enjoys it now. I would recommend this.Read Best Reviews of Little Tikes Rocking Horse Magenta Here
Nice toy for toddlers... safe since it's low to the ground. I've bought 2 over the last 20 years. Will outlast your toddler.I had one of these as a kid, except back then they were made with wooden handles. This horse is so sturdy, and sooo PINK! my daughter loves it and rides it all the time while watching tv. Another great toy by another great toy brand.Saturday, March 8, 2014

Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals Turtle
Buy Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals Turtle Now
My daughter received both this and the snail exactly like this as gifts at approx 14 months of age. She likes to push cars. Initially she liked these but now they are boring to her. The bottons don't really do much and the same song plays over and over again, and she toys that do a lot more/play a wider variety of melodies, (which are actually less expensive) that have kept her attention. Both the turtle and the snail have been dropped and thrown and are still in great condition so I feel they are pretty durable.Read Best Reviews of Fisher Price: Roll-Along Pals Turtle Here
I got this toy for my first grandson and our family has really had a lot of fun with the "math" aspect, since I am a Math teacher. We had to continue the tradition when my second grandson came along, but Fisher Price is no longer selling this item. I was thrilled to find it here! When you actually see it for the first time puts you off with its garish colour. My kid plays with it for a while but quickly loses interest; though that's the case with most of her toys.Monday, December 9, 2013

My granddaughter loves her gift. The wand lights up when she play with it.
Very cute.

My daughter loves Super Why!, particularly Princess Pea/Presto, so I thought this would be a good gift to keep her occupied. It was. She *loves* it! The only drawback really is the crown. It does not stay on very well at all. However, my daughter really could care less about the crown. We keep it on long enough to take a quick picture or two before it falls off, and she never misses it. She loves the wand, which cycles through various Princess Presto phrases ("Wands up!" and "Peas and carrots. Carrots and Peas" are two of them). I would definitely buy this again.Read Best Reviews of Learning Curve Brands Super Why - Princess Presto Role Play Kit Here
My grandaughter loves supper why.I think the cape is cheaply made.
Not big enough around the neck
and could be made just a little bigger.
She is only two and the cape is small.
The wand & crown are realy cute.
Over all she loves it. I am going to
add more fabric to the cape to make
it bigger.

My daughter loves Princess Presto and asked me for dress up items. I thought this collection would be perfect, but it was not. The only item that worked for us was the wand, which is nicely made. The crown is horribly uncomfortable, as it folds into itself, even when she's wearing it, and the combs dig into her scalp. The cape is made out of an awful material that my daughter hates, so she never wears it. Basically, if you are looking for a nice singing wand for a Presto fan, this one is nice, just throw away everything else in the box when it comes.Tuesday, December 3, 2013

Under The Nile Lion Lovie
Buy Under The Nile Lion Lovie Now
I thought this lovie would be bigger and thicker (like the Under the Nile's bunny lovie) but it's still a wonderful addition to baby's toys. I bought it specifically because it's 100% organic cotton and machine-washable. Washes up and dries great in the laundry.I have never left a review for something on Amazon before. But I do rely on them quite a bit. I was aware of how big this item was since I make sure to pay attention to the description. I bought two other Under the Nile products at the same time (Elephant and Frog). I am happy with both of them. What I was unhappy with regarding the lion is that it says it is 10 inches. The one I received is less than 8 inches. This is an obvious misrepresentation. This is what I am unhappy with. The product would have gotten a positive review if it was 10 inches (like listed) or if the description had stated that it was 8 inches.I bought this product because it was organic and since my seven month old likes putting things in her mouth, I thought it would be perfect. It is, except the head and body separated soon after she had played with it. Right now I am waiting to have some time to sew the thing back together again. Since it's for children I think the manufacturer should have made it a bit more durable.Sunday, November 10, 2013

The costume looked great on and everyone thought it was adorable. Just as good as the picture showed. The wings are a bit big though and needed to be fastened with safty pins in order to stay open. Winfun Baby Driver Stroller/Car Seat Seat
The only issue we have is that the straps to attach it to the stroller or crib are a little short, but it was easy enough for us to adapt some other straps to make it work. Your baby will love it too! This is a good toy but it is REALLY small. I got it for a 17 month old, who is not big for his age. It is like a miniature toy for him. I think it would be much better for babies under the age of 1. All of the buttons, turn signal, key, shifter, etc are very good, the noises are pleasant and not too loud. But it is kind of a let down because it is so small. The steering wheel is only like 4 inches in diameter. Also, the velcro straps they provide to attach it to a car seat or stroller are way to short. But since it has holes in the toy for straps, one could swap out the provided straps for something longer.
Buy Winfun Baby Driver Stroller/Car Seat Seat Now
My sixteen-month-old son loved this toy and enjoyed playing with it in the car for a long trip. It has two volume levels and a variety of levers and buttons to produce sounds and lights in addition to the steering wheel (my son's favorite part). However, the two straps on the back are short and attach to themselves in a loop with velcro and will only work for attaching it to a horizontal lap bar on a stroller or car seat and still have it accessible to the child. I was worried about this somewhat heavy, hard plastic toy floating around free while I was driving, so I secured it (sort of!) with some linking rings to the back of the vehicle seat so he could reach it still (he's rear-facing). I don't know what I'll use for a more permanent, safe attachment method for a car seat without a lap bar, but since he enjoys the toy, I'll certainly try to find one! (See also notes on the above image of the back of the product for accurate dimensions; dimensions given are apparently for the box in which it's shipped because it's nowhere near as large as those numbers suggest!)Read Best Reviews of Winfun Baby Driver Stroller/Car Seat Seat Here
On a recent trip to the lake our 5 month old daughter became obsessed with the steering wheel on the boat, so my husband and I set out to find her a wheel to play with at home. My main concern with buying any toy like this is the sounds it makes, so many of them are totally obnoxious! Surprisingly, this toy is not and the sounds are actually really cute, which is saying a lot because everything on this toy makes a sound (honking, vrooming, turn signal clicking, songs, beads rattling and more). Also included is a two volume control switch with the lower setting being pretty quiet. There are tons of things to move and push and the turn signals light up on each side, it definitely is a workout for our now 6 month olds' hand-eye coordination and manipulation skills. The only thing I would change on this toy is to make the actual wheel a little bit bigger, but that is just personal preference. I have not tried to attach it to the stroller tray yet, she has mostly been playing with it on the floor or her lap, and I could see the velcro straps being a bit short as other reviewers have mentioned, but it isn't hard to pick up some additional velcro at the store if they need to be longer. Overall, we are very satisfied with this toy and recommend it for wheel loving babies!I bought this for my granddaughter who loves steering wheels, She was almost 2 so this was probably too young for her. She loved it for 10 minutes. It would be great for any child from 6-18 months and much smaller than I thought it would beThursday, October 10, 2013

Very smooth and nicely made blocks. The colors are great and a joy to play with.Wish there were more in there. Great!Got this for my granddaughter who is 11 months old. The small triangle pieces fit too nicely in her mouth, so we had to take them away from her. The rest of the blocks are okay but the dog really liked the little round-headed person. So we had to take that away, too! All in all, I would wait until at least 13 months old for this small block set.
