Fisher-Price Rainforest Nest 'n Play Animals

Fisher-Price Rainforest Nest 'n Play AnimalsThese are really cute, but lack much function. I am all for children using their imagination in play, but if one is going to buy a "toy" it should offer some interactive ability. It is too bulky for the assigned age group, the baby cannot grip the nesting box pieces to put them together and having a parent do it doesn't making it any move exciting. A much better toy for the 46 month and up age is the Tiny Love Musical Stack & Play.

I understand the reviews from others about these nest-n-play animals. They are very soft, so I can see how it may be difficult for a very small child to be able to get them to stack properly. I actually ordered them because I was thinking of using them to organize various items (like diaper cream, powder, etc.) in the nursery. I may be able to use the largest for this purpose, but not the other two. The picture (even with the baby) makes them look larger than they are.

Buy Fisher-Price Rainforest Nest 'n Play Animals Now

This was the first toy (other than plush animals) I bought for my baby, who was around 3 months old at the time. It was one of the few toys I could find for that age. When it arrived, I was sort of unimpressed. But over time (the baby is now 8 months old), this toy has grown on both of us.

It is true, as others have said, there's not much to do here. The nesting function is still beyond my child's awareness so he pretty much just grabs the boxes and holds them. The largest one, the elephant, is definitely the favorite. It has an appealing face, crinkly ears, a ribbon for hair, and 3D butterflies sewn onto the sides. Baby just seems drawn to the sweetness of the largest block.

The tiny purple monkey doll that fits into the smallest block seemed kind of like a throwaway added-on accessory to me, but the baby sometimes will play with that thing for 30 min or more. It is nice to watch him just study it and take comfort in it.

Now with the baby a little bit older, we also use the largest block as a holder for the baby's Peek-a-Blocks and he enjoys removing them one-by-one. We also use the largest elephant block as a HAT! And that is probably the most fun of all. It is hilarious.

Recommended because it's simple, cute, inexpensive, doesn't make noise, and as he ages, the baby develops different ways to enjoy the simple pleasure that can be found here.

My baby loves this toy. He has since he was about 10 weeks old. He first started out swatting the faces which make either krinkle or rattle noises. The heads of the zebra and lion flip over. He loves to flip them around. The boxes are soft and light. He will pick them up and bring them to his mouth. I like to unstack the three boxes and put them in a semi circle around him. He independently plays with them for up to 30 minutes which is a long time for a baby that's not quite 3 months old. He verbalizes a lot when these toys are out. We've gotten much more response out of this simple colorful toy than anything else.

These are cute and colorful. He likes to put other things in the blocks too. The one thing I'm not sure of is washing. The box says nothing about it. I'm worried that they might not hold their shape in the washer, because they are soft.

Fisher-Price Disney Baby Lion King Circle of Friends SpinnerLoved this product! It keeps my little girl entertained while I cook dinner! Also love that it suctioned to the tray.

It's a cute toy and my son is entertained while I make his breakfastlikes to spin the animals and the whole spinner part. However it gets 3 stars off bc it has poor suction. I really stick it good but it doesn't stay. My 4 month son is able to pull off... with his own hands and just playing with it the toy comes unstuck. Every morning while making breakfast at least once I will be either 1) picking it up off the floor or 2) having to restick it bc he is waving it around (and its bigger than his rattle balland harderalready 1 incident where he hit himself in the facethankfully not hard enough to cry but I can see where a baby could end up wacking their self pretty good). When it is stuck he enjoys itI am looking for a toy with better suction tho.

B. Dr. Doctor

B. Dr. DoctorB. Doctor

Very safe for younger children is the best thing about this toy! As a child development specialist, this is the first thing I look for. I was looking for toys to have at my house for grandchildren that were safe and had some learning value. This toy works. Most of the Dr. Kits are for 3 and up, but really you need that type pretend play when they are younger and more fearful of routine Dr visits. This kit was safe for my 15 month old, but enjoyed by my 3 1/2 year old. The toys are safe for younger children, but look enough like real tools for them to be able to associate it with the real Dr.'s tool. I was not sure about the 'pager', but you will be glad the buttons are hard to press, because it is noisy, hopefully they figure out how to push it when they can understand quiet time! The box is large, but it allows you to add a white shirt (Dr. Coat,)empty band aid box, etc. as they get older for more imaginative play. I wish all toys with pieces came in a reusable storage container!

When I asked my daughter about her recent Dr. visit with the 18 month old, she said it was great, she thought the Dr. play with the kit was helpful. Did not seem as fearful.

I plan to order 2 more for Christmas gifts.

Does your little one check your ears with a glue gun; does he/she 'zamine your heart with anything that can be hung around his/her neck? If so, you may have a doctor in the house, and the "B. Doctor" set is just what your child needs for creative, imaginative play.

The roomy "doctor bag" provides a handy container for the nine tools that are included in the set. To adults, it may seem a bit too large, but smaller children find it easy to use as they do not have to carefully pack things to have them all fit. The stethescope is particularly nice its simulated heartbeat brought shouts of glee when my grandson first used it on "Papa." While there is a pager included in the kit, the manufacturer might consider replacing it with a toy "smart phone" so it is more in keeping with current trends. The other instruments otoscope, blood-pressure cuff, thermometer, oral mirror, tweezers, syringe, and scissors provide a variety of "healthcare" options and help foster imaginative play.

"B. Doctor" is constructed and finished well. There are no rough edges that could cut tender skin and no itty-bitty copmponents that might accidentally get put somewhere they should not have gone.

"B. Doctor" is definitly a 5-star toy. However, you should be aware that the price fluctuates greatly; I have seen it on Amazon from as low as $21+ to somewhere in the $30 range. My daughter got her son's "B. Doctor" at the red bullseye store for $22, so be sure to shop around for the best price.

Buy B. Dr. Doctor Now

As a grandma, I purchased the B. Doctor Kit for my home so that the grandkids could play with it. They equally all love playing with it! The case is a bit bigger than it needs to be, but you can add items to it, such as play scrubs. The beeper is really cool and works just fine...but you have to teach the child to hold the buttons down for them to work. Once they understand that, it is no problem for them. I highly recommend this kit.

I much prefer the B. Doctor Kit to the Fisher-Price Dr Kit. My own children had that years ago and I really loved it. But now, unless you have a girl and can buy the pink set, it comes in a material tote with a simple velcro closure and the tools fall out, and there are no where near the items that there used to be in it.

Read Best Reviews of B. Dr. Doctor Here

I bought this for my 2 year old son after a trip to the doctor, thinking it would be fun for him to play with replicas of the same items the doctor used that day. This seemed like a nice, basic, kit. But we were terribly disappointed. For starters, the case is enormous much too large to be easily portable, and much larger than necessary for the few items that come inside of it. It's awkward and takes up too much space (plus, it doesn't even look like a doctor's medical bag!). The top is difficult to open my son can't do it himself. But worst of all was the quality and design of the items inside the case... All were made of super cheap, light, poorly molded plastic. The syringe fell apart within about 2 minutes of taking it out of the box (the plunger isn't connected to the rest of it, and promptly fell out and got lost). The stethoscope ear pieces are way too large to fit in any child's ear or any adult's ear for that matter. So uncomfortable, my son couldn't bear to use them for more than about 30 seconds. And the stethoscope isn't even a "real" working device that can pick up a heartbeat, like all the other toy kits have... the end is simply a cheap machine that makes fake "heartbeat" noises (which sound like static) when you push a button. How disappointing! The thermometer also looks/operates nothing like a real thermometer it's quite strangely designed. I returned this kit the day after buying it, and bought one by another manufacturer that was infinitely better...

Want B. Dr. Doctor Discount?

The case and items inside are designed so awkwardly that a child won't find them fun or even be able to open the box. The toys inside are difficult to manipulate, the parts that move are sticky or just didn't fit right. The case is such a strange design, I don't know why there is a graphic on top that looks like a homeless person's scarf, and the box has flimsy plastic windows on the sides that will surely break in 1 or 2 uses. We sent it back as soon as we got it. Really junk.

UPDATE:

We bought the Fisher Price Medical kit for substantially less than this one, and it is exactly what we expected for our little one.

Gund Chomper Shark 22" Plush

Gund Chomper Shark 22' PlushWe bought this toy for our 2.5 yr old son because he is obsessed with sharks every since watching the Disney movies "Oceans" and "Finding Nemo". He even named it Brucie. The toy is quite durable and well made, but still soft and cuddly enough to snuggle up with in bed. I docked it one star because the yarn eyelids stitched above the eyes have the potential to come loose if picked at and pulled. Otherwise, it's a great way to introduce children to these majestic sea creatures in a friendly and non-threatenin way.

Chewbeads Waverly Necklace

Chewbeads Waverly Necklace - BlackI got this for my 16 month old who puts everything in her mouth. She really likes it, and chews on it often. My older daughter also likes wearing it even though she doesn't chew on it. I mostly let the little one wear it around the house or play with it in her car seat. I do not wear it myself, as it does look more like kids "dress up" jewelery rather than a necklace for a mom to wear. I do think it is a bit expensive, but there isn't anything else similar on the market, and it really is nice for little ones who like to chew on everything. Overall I am pleased with it, and it is serving the purpose for which I purchased it.

Chicco Great Shakes Monkey Toy

Chicco Great Shakes Monkey ToyThis toy is easy to secure to a high chair, car seat or stroller and it has so many things to occupy my six-month-old daughter. She likes the rattling beads in the circle, the crinkly banana, his scarf and the plastic pieces on the feet. She still doesn't quite "get" the shaking part, but she grabs for it again and again. This is a good value for a toy and it is holding up well so far.

I dont know what it is about this monkey, but babies love it instantly. Leg vibrates after you pull the leg. No batteries. My baby would rather chew on the rings than the teether foot. Baby is 5 months old.

He's 7 months by the way.

Especially for Baby Stacking Cups

Especially for Baby Stacking CupsThese cups are not what is shown in the picture. I agree with the other reviewer that they sent me the smaller cheaper version from Babies R Us version the larger version shown in the picture that has an orange cup on the bottom and has pictures. I was disappointed in my purchase that I paid so much for the product.

Stacking/nesting cups are among the best toys EVER. But these are just the cups you can get at Toys R Us for $3. So don't buy them hereI'm super disappointed that I just paid $12 for them, and they aren't as good as the ones I bought for my daughter a year ago (there are less cups, they are smaller, they don't have pattern impressions on the bottom). Buy the Bruin ones from Toys R Us for $5way better, and cheaper.

Buy Especially for Baby Stacking Cups Now

Our children enjoyed their stacking cups, and their children are proving that toys really can endure. I bought this set for my grandson after my other son stole one of my sets for his son, who enjoyed it immensely. The toy appeals to younger pre toddlers when their adult playfellows stack the cups and let the toddler knock down the tall tower the adult builds. Toddlers like to hand the adult the cups one by one to nest back together or to stack again. As the toddlers master coordination, they'll enjoy stacking the cups on their own. They're not so good at nesting them back together to put them away! The cups teach coordination, evaluating relative sizes and balancing items to stack them.

These stacking cups are perfect for young babies and can grow with them as they enter toddler years. My 9 month old has been using them since about 6 months old. He uses them mostly in the bath and I am able to use them to help me rinse off his hair, etc, too. We also use them outside the bath as he is now more interested in knocking down towers built for him and crawling after balls, cars, cups, etc. He chases these cups all over the room. This toy is one of his few toys that we travel with as they are compact and can be used for multiple purposes once at our destination. Highly recommend for every baby/toddler. I can't wait til he can start building towers for himself!!

Dandelion Crinkle Bat for Babies

Dandelion Crinkle Bat for BabiesIt's really hard to find anything that is organic AND black. I was looking for a toy that was somewhat non-mainstream...for a baby. I also wanted it to be organic. Good luck with that right? Well, yes. I found the bat and my daughter loves it, I love it too! She loves the crinkly toys, I love the fact that it's black, a bat, and organic. It's a win-win all-around situation.

Ty Musher - Husky

Ty Musher - HuskyGot these for my kids for Christmas. It looks very much like one of our dogs that we lost. The kids have had this product for several years now and they still love it and sleep with it. It has held up very well including to a chewing by the new puppy (all we lost was the label). All in all a great buy for the kids and a snuggly, very soft stuffed puppy.

Kathe Kruse Lucky Polka Squeaky Plush Toy, SmallWife received this as a gift at her baby shower along with the smaller version. Baby loves this 'shroom. Seems nicely shaped since he can grab it pretty easily. Slight squeeze and it makes noise. Thankful that noise isn't irritating nice squeaking sound. Wife washes it in sink with warm soap and water and it does fine. No rips or tears in mushroom. Glad someone thought to get this. Packaged with the smaller one also makes it a great looking gift duo.

Fisher Price Little People Sweet Sounds Home

Fisher Price Little People Sweet Sounds HomeThere are 2 models of this toy-one w/"Fluffy" the cat, and the other model WITHOUT Fluffy. They look exactly the same, but do NOT get the model with Fluffy! There are only 3 household items in it that make sounds and the other model has about 8 household items that make sounds, making the other model much more fun and interactive for children. It is quite a bit misleading on the part of Fisher-Price to advertise these at the same price despite the fact that the "Fluffy" model is a much lesser product. The "Fluffy" model should be priced much lower. The non-Fluffy model is still being manufactured, but grab it while you can. I've had quite a time finding it because it's on back order at a lot of retailers.

The one they are advertising is not the one you will receive. The one shown has nine sounds and no fluffy the cat. The one you will receive has three sounds and includes fluffy the cat. There are two models, so it is confusing. I've ordered this twice already and each time I didn't receive the one being advertised. I don't know why they don't advertise it for what it is. The model you get sells for about $30.00. Amazon is selling that model too. Ihave no idea why they don't correct this. I've already fallen for it twice. You would think I would have learned the first time.

We got this for our daughter's recent first birthday, and it has already proven its worth. She enjoys pressing the objects that make noise (phone, toilet, etc.), then laughing at her accomplishments. She will also use the house as a place for playing with other toys.

The assembly required is extremely minimal just a few screws and while there are many stickers to put on before the house is complete, it's certainly not difficult or time-consuming. The product seems durable, at least what I've seen of it to this point.

While I don't know how enjoyable this would be for an older child, I certainly think it's an excellent choice as a first dollhouse for a younger child. And with the relatively low price, it's not going to be too painful if your little one doesn't enjoy it as much as you'd like.

Read Best Reviews of Fisher Price Little People Sweet Sounds Home Here

I purchased this dollhouse for my son's first birthday in December. I believe it's perfectly fine, unlike many, for a little boy to play with a dollhouse, especially while under 5 years of age because they learn and create from what they see every day in their own homes. (i.e. If the "Daddy" is always in front of the computer, maybe he needs more chores to do, right? ;)

At first he did not play with the dollhouse as much as I had hoped. Maybe this was partly my fault because I wasn't really actively trying to play with the dollhouse along with him for more than a few moments at a time. Since our plastic "Daddy" sits in the computer chair, guess who's doing all the work in reality? All the same, he was still playing with it occasionally and having fun putting the baby in and out of the crib, or having Mommy push baby in the stroller.

Yesterday I sat down with him (now 15 months) and we got out a few of his Little People playsets. He owns many as I got Little People crazed, but I brought out the Sweet Sounds Home and the Little People Playground with Neighborhood Vehicles (icecream truck and a schoolbus). As an adult, I found myself having trouble trying to use my imagination. It seems as if one day you wake up and you just can't conjure up that great idea anymore, but I did my best. He loved it! He kept putting Plastic Mommy in various parts of the house and loved to sit Plastic Daddy on the toilet and "flush" it over and over. Hint.

What you get for your dough:

2 Plastic Parents (Our Plastic Mommy is holding a bottle and Mr. Plastic Dad is holding a cell phone. Hmm...what is wrong with that? What about putting a scrub brush in Daddy's hand and just letting the mommy breastfeed so she doesn't have some huge bottle glued to her hand when she's trying to sleep or drive?)

1 Adorable baby in a basket

1 Set of table and chairs {I love this! Mommy NEVER has to cook! The food is already on the table...yeah!)

1 Bed with only two indentions on it (Co-sleeping anyone? My son probably doesn't understand why he can't put Baby In a Basket in the bed with Bottle Mommy and Cell-Talkin Daddy...there's no room...unless Daddy is sleeping in the crib--or up all night cooking breakfast. He is probably a doctor or something though because he looks rather smart with those coke glasses.)

1 Stroller (My son loves to put Plastic Female Parent in this...is this a sign that he wants to show ME who's boss? Perhaps another Baby Stewie.)

1 Walker to go in the playroom (Isn't it interesting that there is a computer room for Plastic Male Parent and a toy room for Baby In a Basket [or Daddy?], but there is the LAUNDRY ROOM for the Mommy because YOU KNOW that's who's going to be doing the clothes around THIS Sweet Sounds Home!)

There are also special sounds in each room.

Kitchen: We have a nice microwave DING! sound to alert Plastic Mommy that the nice dinner she made for Plastic Daddy is heated up since he was late from work.

Living Room: A bright yellow telephone will ring or make the "busy" sound. Whoever could it be?

Bedroom: The baby bed can be pushed down to make a nice little melody for Plastic Baby to fall asleep to...or continue crying and then Plastic Mommy would have to breastfeed and wonder why a bottle with no milk is glued to her hand. Or she would bottlefeed. Whichever is Plastic Mommy's preference at all hours of the night. If pressed again, you will hear "Momma, Momma", not "Dadda, Dadda", because Momma is who comes a runnin'!

Bathroom: We've been over this.

Playroom: There is what appears to be a play-mat on the floor and when you press it you will hear a nice little song or some baby babble. I'm pretty sure that is what you will hear, but Plastic Baby is usually with Plastic Mommy and she is usually in the Laundry Room.

Laundry Room: The joyful sound of laundry swishin' and a swashin'! Now isn't that MUSIC!

Computer Room: Plastic Mommy has never heard this sound, but it is the "Brrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuhnnn" noise to alert Plastic Person (Daddy) that the computer is on.

Overall: This is a great home and will entertain your little one for hours. My son is really starting to get into it, and hopefully I can get him to put Plastic Daddy to work more. We love our Real Daddy (HONEST!) and hope that Plastic Daddy will continue to re-enact everything Real Daddy does. In time, I hope to see Plastic Mommy sit down at the computer more often so Real Mommy can sit and write more reviews for you folks.

My daughter recieved this little people house for her first birthday, I was more excited than she was at first. Where was this adorable house when I was a kid?? But a few months later she found it and started to explore all of the sounds and colors. This set comes with an adorable little family (mommy daddy and baby), table and two chairs, bed, highchair and stroller.

We paired ours with the little people van, which is a really cute addition to the "Family". Inside the house everyroom has something neat to expore. The baby's room has a bed that makes sounds and a moving mobile. The kitchen has a refridgerater that opens and has a picture of food inside.

I really like that when you read a little people book or watch a video you will see the pink van and house. My kids love seeing their toys in the book!

Katie who is now almost a year and a half can drag her house out and open the back up to play. She will sit there as long as her attention span will allow and then she will put the pieces inside and close it up! She doesn't play with it for long periods of time, but as she gets older I'm sure she'll play with it longer (If not I will) It really is a great house for your little one.

Fisher-Price Elmo Live

Fisher-Price Elmo LiveElmo Live will capture your child's imagination with his trademark infectious happiness. He waves his arms, dances, sits on his stool, tells jokes and stories, shows your child how much he loves him/her, laughs, sneezes -everything you would expect an animated Elmo to do. Other than some mechanical grinding as he moves, Elmo is all cute. This little guy is a blast!

-Debbie Lee Wesselmann

After one week here is my review

Pros:

1. Well designed toy, but leaves more to be desired.

2. He sings, tells jokes, dances, has animated & fluid, aka lifelike, mannerisms.

3. Recognizes when he has fallen over and politely asks for help. The sneeze sequence is hilarious.

4. He does a lot of things that really personify the toy, i.e. thanks you if you help him up, goes bonkers if you squeeze his nose, laughs, yawns, asks you to dance with him, etc. To a 2-4 year-old, Elmo does indeed comes alive.

Cons:

1. The servo noise can be distracting, most of the time.

2. The red terry cloth / skin is way too thin and fragile.

3. It would be nice if Elmo is cushier and has another programing sequence when lying down so that children can go take him to bed with them.

4. It would be nice if Elmo is expandable, in the sense that you can add more programs via Bluetooth / USB / cartridge expansion. Otherwise, Elmo will become boring real fast.

Elmo Live is an innovative and engaging toy for children between 2-4 years of age. He is worth the MSRP, compared to other toys, but NOT MORE. If it wasn't for the economy, Elmo Live would likely be all over the news and the hottest toy of the holiday season.

I was lucky to grab the last Elmo today locally and my three kids, a 2 year old, 5 year old, and a 7 year old, have been playing with Elmo ever since. They absolutely love it. The neighbors and other family members have been over to see Elmo go. He does sooooo many things, tells stories does dances, plays games, and other quirky fun things. It is so life-like it keeps the kids and adults amazed. My sister has struck out at many stores today and has been told it will be very hard to find this christmas. So if you find one, grab it, as these are definitely THE hit toy this year.

Read Best Reviews of Fisher-Price Elmo Live Here

I bought this toy for my son's second birthday (December 6, 2008). I was so excited to give it to him because he LOVES Elmo. I let him play with it in stores and figured he would love it cause he was always touching Elmo's foot in the demo in the store.

Well on his birthday we gave it to him and I'm not that happy with it.

First the mechanical sound of Elmo moving are EXTREMELY Loud so much so that it's annoying (at least to me).

Second my son is only two and if your child is like mine, he's really into music and he really had no interest in Elmo's stories (which are too long). I tried to show him the other pressure points on his stomach, back, and nose but Elmo tips over when my son's toddler hands reach out to touch his stomach so for my son it was easier to just keep touching his foot and the stories Elmo tells get old very quickly.

Third...did I mention I have a two year old boy? Well he loved carrying Elmo by the head and by the arms and this is a sixty dollar toy (I got it at Walmart actually) so I didn't want him doing that and had to take it from him.

I hate to give it such low reviews, however I think the age should be changed to three and up. I don't think my son or any kid can really appreciate it until they're at least that old otherwise I don't think it does enough to hold a toddler's attention.

Boys and girls are different though so maybe if you have a 2 year old girl she'll be more gentle and care about it more but I just don't recommend it otherwise. Plus my son just kept pushing the button on the foot over and over, trying to get it to do more and after awhile I starting hearing Elmo stutter like the mechanics were messing up and we just got it and it hadn't been dropped or anything yet.

The chair is pretty useless. Actually Elmo's butt doesn't even touch it so it's not really needed and he always tips over.

So to sum it up, wait until your children are older if you decide to buy it, even then I wouldn't recommend it, or if you don't believe me then keep your receipt just in case. I know ours is on it's way back and at this price maybe he can get two toys he really enjoy instead of just one.

Also pay attention to these reviews. I'm noticing that a lot of people who are giving it five stars either bought it for someone else's child for a gift (grandchildren, nieces, nephews etc.) or bought it and put it up for their child for Christmas and they're giving it high ratings based off of that. Trust me I'd have given it high ratings based off of the few times my son played with it in the store myself if I didn't know better. However most people like me who gave it to their child early or for Birthdays have the SAME complaints. It's not worth the money at all. And the mechanical sounds are too loud and again for my 2 year old it's plain boring so again just keep your receipt if you do purchase it.

My child loves anything Elmos surprisingly, and this seems to be the "cadillac" of Elmo's and he didn't like it at all.

I hope this review helps. Good luck with whatever you decide and Merry Christmas.

My niece is younger than the suggested age, but she still finds him interesting. She'll sit and watch him while he talks and laughs at some of his antics.

Cons

1. He can be a little repetitive. After 1 week my sister learned his entire repertoire, and is now slowly being driven insane.

2. He takes 6 batteries...yes, he comes with them, but replacing that many at once will be a pain.

3. Every movement is accompanied by loud gear grinding. He sounds like he's falling apart and he's brand new.

4. There is no cushion between the mechanical body and furry covering; he looks soft, but isn't.

5. By the time a kid is old enough to understand his jokes and stories, they'll be too old for him.

Is this an essential purchase? No. But it is a great gift suggestion for an aunt/uncle/grandma/grandpa who wants to get something "special" and doesn't know what....it also helps if they have money to waste. :)

Under The Nile Eggplant Toy

Under The Nile Eggplant ToyI didn't really know how large or small this item would be. It is of very good quality though for a cotton toy. I hand wash this and some of my sons other organic toys. He loves biting this. I want to buy all of the fruits and vegetables so my son gets used to having fun with them and then has a better experience trying each one.

We live this. It's pretty small and very soft and wel made. Could be a safe crib toy or good in the carseat. Holds up amazingly well and you can toss it in the wash!!! Yea I love it and kids do too.

I bought this little guy for my 6 month old. I like how it's made of natural fibers, and is a less corny looking baby toy. Though, my little one never found it to be very interesting. She would hold it, and naw on the small stem part, but within a few seconds it was on the ground. I think she found the bulky body a little awkward to hold. It's a very sweet toy, that has made it through the washer and dryer unscathed, but it has never held my little one's attention.

My four month old just loves to play with this. As with anything else at that age, it goes straight to her mouth, but the soft cotton doesn't hurt when she misses and hits herself in the nose or eye or whatever. Throwing this in one of the many loads of laundry my wife does is also a great way to keep it clean.

My baby's "baby" toy (3rd name for it we settled on) is her favorite in her crib. It's small enough that I don't worry about crib safety but big enough that she can still hold it and grip it securely. Favorite moment was finding the baby in bed with her "baby" petting the twig top of the eggplant's hat. Very cute.

The reason I gave this 4 stars and not 5 is that after the wash the 2nd time, there is now a watery looking stain around embroidered eyes and nose on the eggplant's face. I suspect that the dye in the thread isn't colorfast, though not sure why it was ok the 1st wash. I washed it with whites so I know nothing else ran. After 4 washes the stain hasn't come out and the toy is looking more faded but very well loved.

Bright Starts Teethe and Read Teether Book

Bright Starts Teethe and Read Teether BookMy son loves this toy! I purchased it for him when he was 3 months old and he still grabs for it at 7 months of age. We have two since he loves it so much. I keep one in the car seat so he can play and crinkle it while we are on the move and the other one is kept at home. When he was first learning to kick his legs I would place the book under his feet while on his play gym. The crinkle sound encouraged him to move his little feet. Now that he is teething he likes to gnaw on the handle and book edges as well as the pages. A very good buy in my opinion!

Great toy for 4-6 month old. Easy for baby to hold and the multiple teething surfaces added lots of entertainment

This is a great toy book for babies around 6 months of age.My baby wanted to grab and make a sound when turning pages. It is okay to bite the book thus this is called a teething book,I think. This is not a teether though.

my son really likes this toy, but the price is almost not worth it. i thought it was standard price for crinkle books, but when i was at target a few weeks after purchasing this, i found nearly the same thing for nearly half the price.

My six month old loves crinkly, crunchy things. This fits the bill. She can gnaw on the handle and slam it against the floor. We received a different color scheme than what's pictured. Crunch, crunch, crunch!
