I got this from a friend as a gift and my baby loves this toy! We don't leave the house without it. She loves to shake it and chew on it and stretch it. She especially loves to chew on the the cloth "flower petal" like part on the head. The cloth part can stretch if you really tug at it but in the two months my baby has gummed and pulled on it daily it hasn't come off once.I really like the look/materials and construction of this toy. But was shocked to see the actual size. My daughter never really took to it. When she does play with it, the balls go right in her mouth so it does require a certain amount of supervision but they seem very secure. It's a really nice toy, I'm just disappointed in the lack of play it has received.Sunday, August 17, 2014

My friend just had a new baby, a girl, so her 3 year old daughter became a "BIG" sister. I am hoping this will help her with the transition of attention, though her mom has more than enough love for both of them. The bear is soft as can be, the letters on the shirt are large and well sewn and readable. She is a good size for a three year old to carry and can't harm the baby if she comes in contact with it!Want Gund I'm The Big Sister Message 12" Bear Plush Discount?

My infants/toddlers loved their Little Leaps games. This game was a wonderful transition game when they got old enough/coordinated enough to play without me. It didn't last longthey moved onto a hand-me-down GameCubebut was defintely worth the money for the educational and fine motor skills. This is such a great toy i bought it for my little brothers to share which was great because they both understand what going on,even though this one was for the elder one the youngest one still tries and sings along with the songs how great is that!!!!!~Sunday, July 20, 2014
Fisher-Price Miracles and Milestones - Musical Panda
It's a great toy, with just a few flaws, but easily one of my son's favorites:)We had this toy since my daughter was 2-3 months old. First we suspended it from the center of her play gym no other toy was as interesting. The giggles and short tunes that emanate from the toy are uplifting to baby and parents alike. Once my daughter started crawling and ignored the play gym we transfered the toy to her crib. To this day, at 13 months she still tugs on it. The only downsides are that the toy is a little heavy, the ties are short, and the tunes run for just a few seconds. Other than that the toy is very nice.

Happy Nappers Dragon
Here's the long and short of it. The quality is just plain terrible. The stitching came apart in 3 spots within the first day he was playing with it (luckily, I'm skilled with a needle and thread). The doorbell sound it makes is... quite frankly? Loud and incredibly stupid. The sound box also makes an uncomfortable spot in the overall pillow design. The zipper tends to catch his hair as well.
Needless to say, he only uses it as a stuffed dragon toy now, but for the price, there are much better quality toys than this failure of manufacturing. The dragon is so cute and my son was excited to get it, but the quality is terrible. There are places where the material was never sewn together, and the stitches where it was sewn are often very far apart so the stuffing is peeking out. I had ordered ours directly from Happy Nappers, so I contacted them FOUR TIMES with no response before finally spending an hour sewing the dragon in four different places. What a total waste of money. My son wanted this so bad. He was so excited to get it. The toy looks great. It is not high quality though. It has a small hole under its tail and is missing decorative stitched across its belly. The construction is poor quality. Another complaint is that it is a little difficult for my almost 5 year old son to convert it back and forth from a dragon to a castle. He still loves this toy, but if you plan on buying it, keep in mind that it isn't well made and can be a little difficult for some to switch it back and forth. It is a great idea but the product is poorly made. I have bought Pillow pets for my grand kids and they are extremely happy with their pillow pets and this year i bought them a happy napper and they were happy at first but the three i bought all started falling apart quickly i contacted the company and was belittled and basically blamed for their poor product. I will never buy a happy napper again they should be call nightmare nappers. I will not be a stupid person again and buy a happy napper. Trust me happy nappers are for stupid people i learned it the hard way.My daughter received this directly from the Happy Napper site for her 5th birthday. She had been asking for it for months. She was sooo excited to get it! Within the first week though, the stitching in one arm came completely out. I sent numerous emails directly through the Happy Napper site-and never got a single response. Obviosly they aren't too concerned with shoddy stitching, or with disappointing a five year old girl. My son wants one-but there is no way I'll bother spending $20+ on something I'll have to fix myself. I'll stick with the pillow pets-they're cuter anyways.

These are fairly little (not tiny, but little), so make sure you read the specs. These rubber duckies are cute, but I'd only buy them if you need at most 6 floating, cute, non-headless rubber ducks. Of the ones I got, only a few float upright and aren't permanently squished in the sort of position that makes you think they commuted here via NYC subway during rush hour. Most have extremely thin plastic attaching the back of the neck to the body, and several are on their way to true decapitation. That being said, squished doesn't matter much for a 2-year-old's bath time, and I only wanted about 3 floating ones for a baby shower punch bowl. So despite the abundant presence of zombie ducks in my house, I'm happy.Want One Dozen (12) Rubber Duck Ducky Duckie Baby Shower Birthday Party Favors Discount?

The product arrive nice and fast, and it's plastic. However, it's not thick plastic, it's pretty thin, and I can push in on it with my finger. It was cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. Haba Bouncy Beetle Dangling figure
While the toy is very high quality and made of completely smooth wood, the 'wings' are made of a soft plastic and only one of our wings moves and twists like the description. I also think it would be more interesting if all the parts were moveable like their other elastic-bound products. The hat, head, and body are all one glued piece.
Overall, a nice product...just being descriptive

Boikido Wooden Musical Blocks 12 Pc Set
I wouldn't really call it a musical set, a better description would be noise makers and it is really only like 4 or five pieces that make noise.
I would imagine that if you bought this as a stand alone expecting musical interaction you may be disappoined.
I am rating mine as an add on to the bigger set whith no big expectations on the "musical" factor.

I like how the blocks are wooden, but painted with pretty a various colors. I love how each block has a sound or something interesting inside it. I like that there are different shapes (circular, half circle) I'm sure they will be even more fun as my LO grows and can learn to stack them by herself instead of just knocking over my towers. =) But, she likes to hold them and shake them. (she is 7 months old)I highly recommend this product!!I loved these blocks, bought them for my daughters first birthday. She loves to play with them and discover all the noises. These are very durable, i have stepped on them many times and they are still intact.

Bunnies by the Bay Silly Buddy, Styles May Vary
These attach to the bunny well. My daugher loves the bunney ears and rubs them to get herself to sleep or for comfort. Very please with this product. Keeps the pacifier from getting lost without making me nervous the way a pacifier clip with string would. Wish we would have had this for our son.

The blue bunny has been my son's best sleep aid since he was about six months old. (I wish we'd thought to introduce Bunny sooner!) My son is now almost two, and Bunny is an essential part of sleeping -my son always falls asleep holding him, and he's always overjoyed to see Bunny again when he wakes up. These guys are the ideal size for this, and they wash well! My son's bunny has been washed many, many times in a regular load of laundry -we air-dry, which takes practically no time, since Bunny is so thin. (Bunny has actually gone straight from washer to crib a couple of times, and it's not a big deal.) We've learned the hard way that washability is an essential feature for all these sleep aids. No matter how luxe it is, it must be washed -and not everything stays soft after washing. These bunnies go the distance.Note that the bunnies currently being sold are a little different from the old version. The first bunny my son received had no rattle in the head and no pacifier holder. I bought one of these new ones to have on hand as a spare and easily removed the rattle from the head so they would be more similar. To my son, they are apparently indistinguishable. The new one seems a little softer to me, but maybe that's just because it's seen a little less action so far. :o)
I highly recommend these.

My 11 month old just loves this purse. She plays with this constantly taking out the items and putting them back in. It is also a plus that she can chew on them while taking them in and out. Love that this purse is opened at the top as she loves to put other small toys in there as well as there is plenty of room. This is a great design compared to an older one we had for our other daughter who had such a hard time opening the purse and getting her fingers stuck, believe that was a sesame street purse not by Bright Start.

Kido Go Car
The end of the box states "1+", and really it would be ideal for any toddler or preschooler, but if you have a crawler who is beginning to manipulate things well with his hands, I think this car will be a good one to grow into. My grandson will be seven months at Christmas, and he is really getting around. The car may be a bit big for his little hands, but it isn't too heavy, and it rolls so well, that I am sure he will be able to get the thing going. I am looking forward to seeing his face when he realizes what a thing with wheels can do!
As far as other suggestions--I also bought the truck by the same company, and have written a review. Others I am considering are Sassy Pop and Push Car, and the Green Toys vehicles made in the USA from recycled milk cartons. I hope this helps.I don't like toys that beep, sign, yell, talk, make noise in general. I also don't like cars/trucks/vehicles with faces. Call me old fashioned but I wanted a durable, basic car for my son that was not sponsored by an animation company or that yelled obnoxious comments. Both my son and I love this toy. It is simple. I love the color. He loves the handle. Works well on carpet as well as linoleum. I will be giving this as a gift!I don't know if I got a lemon, but the wheels were so stiff that the toy doesn't really roll (even with some serious pushing) so it just doesn't work as a car. Paper weight, maybe. But, since I live indoors and don't have a problem with wind blowing papers around, I returned it.
(It's so cute, though, I might try ordering it again in the hopes that the next one will actually work as a car.)I bought this as a gift for another little boy since my son has had one for a year now and he seems to like it. My son is a little over the age of one. There's nothing special about it exactly. It's a car. It has a handle. It does seem to be made well and it has put up with some abuse. I am not sure it's worth the money since it's so simple, but I guess the cost is related to the quality. I like it since it's simple enough that it doesn't require adult assistance, and yet engaging enough that a child will continue to play with it.A lot of toy cars are for kids over 3 so this is a great option for younger toddlers. It is very cute, the colors are very bright, and the car rolls very well on carpet and hardwood floors. My son seems to like it and I like that it is not flashy and does not have unnecessary cartoon characters drawn on it.

Edushape Chubby Edublocks Development Toy
Buy Edushape Chubby Edublocks Development Toy Now
PARENTS OF YOUNG TODDLERS WITH TEETH --BEWARE OF THIS TOY!!Edushape Ltd's Chubby EduBlocks are extremely unsafe for the young age group they are marketed toward, and I feel their current availability to children as young as 6 months needs to be swiftly addressed by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) before any children become ill or die after choking on or swallowing the foam that the blocks are made from. This is a seriously dangerous toy when used by the age group it is designed for!
The Edushape Ltd's Chubby EduBlocks are multi-color, larger-size, stacking foam blocks made in China that the manufacturer recommends as a safe toy for children 6 months and up. We received the Chubby EduBlocks as a Christmas gift for my 17 month old daughter and we had this toy in our home for a little over a week and a half before she chewed off the tip of a block and ingested an undetermined amount of the smelly colored foam yesterday. This incident happened in less than 5 minutes, and occurred while I was in the room with her.
She was sitting on the couch, playing with one red Chubby EduBlock, and I turned my back on her briefly to put a DVD on the TV for her. While I put the movie on, she proceeded to chew off several pieces of varying sizes of the foam block tip before I understood what was occurring. I have documented in a separate photograph the size of some of the red foam pieces I removed from her mouth and found scattered in her lap, but several of the chewed-off foam pieces were about half of an inch in length, certainly large enough for a younger child to choke on. My daughter thankfully did not choke on the foam, but I believe she ingested one or several of the small foam pieces before I identified their source and was able to clear her mouth of foam and take the toy away from her.
Generally speaking, we exercise much caution before introducing a new toy to our beloved baby, and this toy seemed to be safe enough at first glance since the blocks are soft and are marketed as both educational and non-toxic. I trusted that ASTM safety standards had been considered and I also assumed that the foam had been tested during manufacturing and was strong enough not to crumble or break into bits in a child's hand or mouth. In retrospect, I see I should have done more research before trusting my daughter with an Edushape toy, since many may recognize the Edushape Ltd. name as the same one that also distributed the 18,000 units of "Mini Stars Building Sets" that had to be recalled in July of 2011 because of similar choking hazards. I additionally have read that 40 units of Snap Beads distributed by Edushape in 2009 were also recalled by the Chinese manufacturer, Xiamen Xinlu Machinery Co., Ltd.
I see now that ANY young child with teeth can easily chew off and either choke on or ingest the foam tip from an Edushape Chubby EduBlock, and I am astounded that this product was ever considered "safe" by anyone in the industry in the first place! ...Especially given this company's poor track record with recalled toys! On top of the severe choking and ingestion hazard the foam poses, the blocks also have a distinctly chemical smell. Exactly what chemicals are in this foam product now that my 25lb daughter is at work digesting them? I recommend the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) investigate with serious scrutiny any and all materials data Edushape Ltd and their Chinese manufacturer can provide, because these blocks stink badly of chemicals, and they were ingested very quickly by my daughter.
I am currently in dialogue with Jeff Malmud, Edushape Ltd. USA's National Sales Manager to resolve our issue with the return of this defective or thoughtlessly designed toy. He has been very gracious with the return of this item which was originally purchased through amazon.com as a gift.
