Tiny Love Gymini Tiny Princess Activity Gym

I bought the Tiny Love Princess Activity gym before my daughter was born. She is my first and I was very easily overwhelmed with all the different types of activity gyms on the market. I chose this gym because of the bright colors, multiple hang toys, attachment mirror, and kick pad. When my daughter was about 8 weeks I decided to try it out. I laid her on the gym and she loved the sounds it would make every time she would move. Some parts of the mat make a crinkling sound that she just loves. She loved looking up and seeing all the toys and would get really excited. A couple weeks later I started doing her tummy time on the gym and it is just great!! She loves looking at herself in the mirror. I can also turn on the kick pad and on a certain setting it will just play music and light up continously for at least 15 mins or so. She will just stare at the lights forever. Last week when she had tummy time on this gym she actually started rolling over. She just turned 3 months old and I couldn't believe it!! She has now rolled over on this gym every time I place her on her tummy on it. She has even taken naps on it since the pad is so soft. Overall I am soo happy that I chose this gym and I will recommend it to any expecting mothers of a little girl :)

I thought the fabric would be a little bit better, softer or thicker or something. Also I think the toys dangle really low too. Other then that its good. The kickpad isnt as great as I thought it would be. It is big, thats about it

We are very pleased with this little gym. It has more useable items and variety than most gyms. Love that you can switch out the different hanging toys and even works with other toys you buy elsewhere. Some thought was put into this gym. Like the snap up sides which keeps everything on the mat when you pick it up to move it. Definitely would recommend!

We got this as a gift when my son was only a couple months old and he is now 19 months and has always loved it. It plays several different tunes when you press the big sunshine button and all of them are really nice familiar tunes and aren't too short or too long. The keys are nice for chewing on or rattling and they have pictures of baby faces which our son likes (you can put your own pictures in though). About a few months ago it finally stopped working and my husband opened it and found the wires shorted probably from too much drool or something. However, our son loved it so much we decided to buy a replacement here on Amazon. He is so happy now that he has his toy working again! It is perfect size to take in the car to keep him busy or right now we have it in a little toy basket by his potty. He often carries it around the house playing with it though. I really recommend this toy for babies up to toddlers!

My 11 month old son loved this toy when he was about 3 months old. It soothed him when he was grumpy and kept him company during car rides. Today, however, he got his finger stuck under the button. It deformed his nail bed and he was unable to get his finger out without assistance from me. This toy is fine for a younger, not very strong baby, but as soon as he/she gains finger dexterity and strength, they can wedge their finger under the button very easily. Please do not give this toy to your child!!! I threw this right in the trash after the incident. Please, please do not buy this toy. There are many other (safer) baby toy choices.

Fisher-Price Sesame Street Elmo Knows Your Name Cell Phone

We bought this phone for our 6 month old despite the age rating of 18 months. I think we wanted it more than he did! It's really easy to program your child's name into it. It took me about 5 minutes. (I do recommend that you go onto FisherPrice.com and double check that your child's name is available in Elmo's data base.) Our son LOVES this toy and we have since given it to two of his friends as gifts. They love it too! The toy is not overly loud like alot of his other toys so it's great for restauraunts, airplanes and other places that your child might need entertainment.

How hard is it to put NOT MAC COMPATIBLE on the box and how hard is it to MAKE IT mac compatible? HEllo....

No fewer than 4 adults and 2 computers were used trying to get this thing to say some other name than "Michael" I see others had the same problem. After my husband and I both tried it, and the download said "100% successful" a million times, we gave it to my cousin to try it on her computer, thinking maybe it was a problem with mine. She tried it and the same thing. She finally took it back to the store, thinking it was defective, and got a new one. The new one did it too. After we all were ready to throw it through the window, it was discovered that there is some kind of tab you have to pull out of it in order to activate it. NOWHERE in the detailed instructions does it tell you this (we kept it in the box because we were going to wrap it back up for Christmas. Apparently you have to take it out of the box). PLEASE put this little detail in the instructions!!! This is why I gave it 2 stars the kid hasn't even seen it yet just based on the difficulty on programming.

I can connect the phone to my computer and have it recognized. I can click and get a 100% complete message downloading and installing the name, but it never does. I never get the name I downloaded. I've called tech support a number of times. They ask the same lame questions, did I plug the phone in using the USB cable, did I download the name I wanted, did I have the exe file on my computer, did I right click or double click the file, did I have the Elmo icon and how did I click on that. All the time I did tell them I was able to launch the software. When the phone wasn't connected it saw that the phone was not connected. When the phone was connected, it showed the download progress bar and then said it was 100% successful, but it never said the name I downloaded. I found the name on their web site, clicked on it, played it to be sure it was the right name and then downloaded it FIVE times, in different places, incase it was corrupted. Installed it in different places incase there was a corrupt file on the computer, changed the batteries in the phone, took the phone apart to be sure there was no try me tab broken off. It never worked. What a lot of trouble for nothing. I spent over an hour on the phone and another couple hours on my own trying to get this thing working properly... no luck.

Ok, after reading the reviews regarding the phone being stuck in demo mode, I took mine apart and looked at it.

Looking at the back of the phone on the bottom right, there is a small slot where the demo tab goes in. If you remove it, you SHOULD be able to program it with your kid's name. If that's not the case, take out all the screws (and the batteries) and open the phone. across from where that slot is, there is a tiny white switch, that flips depending on whether or not the tab is in. Using a small screwdriver (or something similar) toggle it to the left (against the case). That should do it!

If not, flip it back and forth until it "springs" against the case. You'll then be able to plug it in and program it.

I bought this item originally at a local toy store and had set it aside and nearly forgotten about it. Then, last week we started to prepare my 4 month old for daycare by teaching her to fall asleep on her own. I wanted her to have something to hug and cuddle, maybe even something I could sleep with so that when she's at daycare she can smell me. Then I remembered I had this and gave it to her. It was love at first cuddle. Santa got this for my 10-month-old daughter for Christmas. Her brother uses it more right now, though. He's six and it's not broken yet, so I'd say it's pretty durable.

My question is... is it really supposed to be a frog? That's what I thought first until I started paying more attention. The way it wobbles when it moves looks like a crab walking and the green things up top look like crab pincers. It's like Fisher Price bred a frog and a crab and out came this toy.

I give it one star for educational value I guess it takes a bit of thinking about the anatomy of frogs and crabs in order to figure out what it is.

A lovely soft cuddly bear. But the music box is not well anchored and moves around as you wind it.

Very soft teddy bear, and one of the few which plays "Teddy Bears Picnic". I highly recommend. A toddler will be able to wind the music box since the key is large and easy to grip.

Bought this as a gift for my Mum who grew up listening to the radio show and had very fond memories. LOUD AND NO VOLUME CONTROL. And if any of the buttons is depressed it doesn't just play once, it plays over and over. However, it's fun, and the kids love it, which is what it's all about anyway.

This would be the perfect steering wheel if it had 1 thing.......it doesn't have a turn off button!!! AAAhhhh! We actually ended up giving this away after 2 months. Even my son got annoyed with it. Once you push the button it makes all the crazy noises for at least 40 seconds. It's loud too.

I wouldn't recommend it for that reason.

This toy is fun enough for the kids (lights up, vibrates, cute noises), but it will drive the parents crazy. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, there is no off switch. There is also no volume control, and it is extremely touchy. If you try to store any toys on top of it, it will go off non-stop until you move it. Even the vibration of walking by it is sometimes enough to set it off. It's a shame, because it really could have been a good toy with the addition of one little switch.

As other reviewers have stated, it's loud. There's no volume control or off switch, and it will constantly go off if it's face down or something is on top of it (or next to it) in the toy box. My son loved it at first, but got bored with it quickly. The only way to keep it silent is to take the batteries out, but then it's no fun if he ever wants to actually use it. Unfortunately this was a gift from somewhere else and couldn't be returned.

If it had an on/off switch it'd be worth the price.

The World of Eric Carle: Butterfly Hand Puppet by Kids Preferred

I bought this puppet for a children's church skit. It is really pretty and the color is nice. It was a little smaller than I had anticipated, so we ended up using it as decoration. If you intend to use the puppet for closer interaction with your audience, the size would be fine. It would be a perfect puppet for children to use for their own puppet shows!

My niece is expecting in March 2011 and they are doing the nursery in the Eric Carle designs. As a puppeteer I decided to start them off with the butterfly, my personal favorite. I told them to plan on all the puppets as when I saw this one I fell in love. The picture just does not do it justice. I told them that when Annabella was old enough that I would teach her how to puppeteer. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this! I may have to but one for me.

This butterfly and the caterpillar and the book The Hungry Caterpillar make a wonderful gift for baby showers, births, birthdays etc. Very pretty colors to delight the youngest child and the caterpillar is so, so soft. I bought this for my 23 month old granddaughter. She instantly loved this toy. She was so fascinated by the change in color and within a matter of minutes was able to name a couple of the colors on her own. This is a fun toy that allows you to play and teach at the same time. It is also small,light weight,and durable great as a take-along toy for car trips. She enjoys playing with it alone as well as with others.

I got this as a hand me down and thought i was missing a part for months until i finally looked the product up. I guess I had it figured out without any context so, it's easy to use! interesting, seemingly useless, but it does create conversation about color (primary, secondary, how an orange is orange, etc). I would absolutely pay nothing for it again.

Each of the 6 pictures is black and white but turns its appropriate color when you slide the picture out. My baby and toddler love this toy. They are fascinated by how the colors change. They also like the "Bop and Color," which is another toy in this line that has the same idea but as a pop up. I recommend both.

I got this for my one year old she has played with it some but it just doesn't seem to hold her interest much. She play with her blocks more than this toy. I also bought her the Crayola Pop and See, and she had the same reaction to those, just no interest. I thought the slide and see would be of more interest since she really seems attracted to bright colors. Not really the case with this toy. Maybe she will like it when she is a bit older, even though the recommended ages are 6 mo +.

Wader Super Garbage Truck

I was glad to have found a good price with reasonable shipping on this truck. I saw it on ebay and decided it would be a good one for my garbage truck-obsessed son, but the price was too high and the shipping was insane for this large but not very heavy truck. This truck is nice because it is very sturdy and interactive. I also love that it doesn't require batteries (so I don't have to change them!) but does require a healthy imagination. There is no plastic in the windows around the cab so you can put your own drivers in.

Little Fox

The little book contains a number of lovely drawings, but no text after a while it's just not as fun to play with. However, the toy fox superbly made, soft, and very colorful can be used in so many story play-outs. My daughter and I love playing with it.

Chicco Fun Travel Car Safari Toy

I got this for my son who was 16 months at the time. He liked it for about 5 minutes. First, it takes a bit of time to get the hang of how to push the buttons on the "remote" to make the lights and music work (it was hard for adults to do much less toddlers). When my son figured it out, he enjoyed playing with it for about 2 car trips. Now, he tosses the remote on the floor when I give it to him. He seems to be occasionally briefly entertained by the lullaby mode. I would say it is a better toy for younger children, but the difficulty in working the remote leads me to wonder that younger toddlers would not be able to get the interactive mode to work.

He loves this, whether it is playing the music softly, or he is pushing the buttons and listening to the sounds, he really enjoys it.

I bought this for my 14 month old daughter in hopes she would enjoy it to and from day care. She was not that interested. The buttons are hard to push on the plush remote and when you hit the monkey, the horn will sound on the truck or what you're trying to press won't sound at all. The idea of the toy is too simplistic for 12 month and above. The durability of the toy is good. The shipping was fast and the packaging was great. Just not over all wowed by the toy itself. Keep shopping!

Radio Flyer Soft Rock and Bounce Pony

We, or should I say Santa, purchased this horse for our 15 month old daughter. The price was excellent. We love the Radio Flyer brand too since it's been around for many years and they make quality products.

I admit I was a little intimidated at first when I opened the box to find it in many pieces. Everything was packaged well. Use common sense and it will be simple to assemble. The directions are written more like a diagram with a few short descriptions.

We love the fact that the actual horse is machine washable and easy to remove too. We also like that there are no springs to pinch our daughter. The rubber is very thick and we aren't worried about it breaking. It doesn't make sounds like some of the other horses. However, almost every toy for kids makes sounds now. I think kids need basic toys too. It can teach imagination, balance and coordination.

The only cons would be that the frame is made of plastic, which is disappointing but then again everything is plastic now a days anyway. As long as the child is of the proper weight limit I don't think it would be an issue. Also, I noticed that the belly or feet of the horse could hit the floor a little while the child bounces or rocks if he/she is at the top of the weight limit. It does seem like it could slide on hard floors or short carpeting. We put a couple non-skid pads on the bottom and sort of pushed it on the carpet and it seemed to work better. I do think this horse is for the 15mo-3yr. old age range though. Our daughter wouldn't have been able to rock or bounce on her own at 12 months old. unless someone was holding on to her and doing it for her.

Overall I highly recommend this toy. You will not be disappointed.

Well, we have loved this horse until two weeks ago. It has been our 18 month old 26 pound baby boy's favorite toy, even after he rocked too hard and flipped the thing over backwards-the FIRST time. He got right back on,and I just hoped that it had been a strange fluke, but then he did it again. I hate to get rid of it, but this 2nd time after he flipped and landed on his head, it came down on top of him and the handle hit him in the nose. I would like to not be an alarmist and hope that he learns he can't rock that hard, but I'd also feel pretty awful if he keeps getting hurt. For now, we have a bed pillow on the floor behind it so that it doesn't rock so far back. We are so disappointed, this definitely won't last us til he's 3, or even 2 at this rate. Real Bummer.

This piece of crap must be made in China. It is so cheaply made it falls apart frequently. I thought radio flyer was supposed to have a good name. Not anymore. This is the third crappy product we've experienced from them. Radio layer is not what it used to be. I'm so sick of having to put this pos back together. Just a total sucky pos product that looks good and has a good brand name but must be made in China.

This horse is very small. It could only be used by a one or two year old at the most. The one I received was defective, which was super disapointing after I put it completly together. It comes unassebled in ten thousand peices.....

My 15 month old daughter loves it. Received the shipment earlier than promised. The only reason I am not giving a 5 star rating is because my daughter is not able to climb on it or get out of it on her own. The rocker base is too wide for her to get on unassisted.

**Update**

I am changing the rating to 1 as this rocker flipped backward when my daughter was rocking today. Luckily she landed on the carpet. This is certainly not a safe rocker.

Dandelion Pink Organic Toy Flower Book

I gave this as a baby shower gift with other organice clothes. It was the hit of the shower as it made a crunchy noise and was cute and for a baby girl.

My daughter liked it at first but now is bored with it. Its cute but my main issue is that she wants to 'teeth' on everything and this frustrates her because she cant get it in her mouth to bite on easily. She sort of flattens it on her face instead of biting the edges and gets really mad.

By far our baby's new favorite toy. It makes a lovely jingle and is perfect for little hands. Beautifully painted and made in the US!

This is great for small children who love bells. My little one always wanted to put them in his mouth and I felt it was dangerous. This toy keeps the bell contained safely but still allows for the noise it makes.
