Okay, I'm not one to write reviews normally, but I had to for this one. Either my daughter is a genius, or this "game" is LAME. Although she is 2 1/2 and has known her alphabet since she was 2, and has been able to count to 10 even before that, I thought maybe this would be fun for her to try. First of all, two of the "games" aren't games at all the shapes one is just a video of a bird drawing 4 shapes, and then it's over. No interaction at all. The animal one is just lessons on different animals, and the joystick controls which animals you view, but it's not a game either. The alphabet game only teaches a few letters, and that's it. You would think it would teach all 26, but no. The "feeding the pig" game counts to 10, but doesn't do much. And the whole DVD intermittently uses the same puppets that were in the infant games. My daughter likes to play this thing, but gets bored quickly. I'll save it for my next child, and introduce it to him much earlier.

My infants/toddlers loved their Little Leaps games. This game was a wonderful transition game when they got old enough/coordinated enough to play without me. It didn't last longthey moved onto a hand-me-down GameCubebut was defintely worth the money for the educational and fine motor skills.

Tiny Love Take Along Mobile

My 9 week old son just loves this mobile so much. He refused to stay in his pack n play bassinet while awake until I set this up for him. I think he likes this one more than the Precious Planet one in his crib. He talks to it and tries to bat at the little animals. Definitely one of the best purchases I have made. I also clip the mobile onto his car seat if we are out somewhere or to calm him down when getting ready to leave home. The music is not annoying either and volume on it is also great.

It's not the cutest mobile or the largest mobile ever, but for our purposes, we LOVE it! It fit great on the cradle until our infant moved into the crib. It went smoothly from the cradle to the crib the attachment is great. I think it helped the transition from beds as well. It fits onto the pack and play well which I think helps him still feel secure with the familiar mobile no matter which "bed" he's in.

I LOVE that you can choose between movement with music or JUST movement (no sound). I think all the mechanical/electronic mobile music sounds are always way too loud. The movement sound, which it does make, is simply like a white noise. I actually like the white noise it creates, because I think it helps drown out some of the bustling household noises during nap times for him.

I was hoping for a beautiful mobile that would coordinate with the decor, and it's sort of tacky-baby-toyish in that way. It's also sort of small sized mobile and the the toys are sort of cute. However, the functionality is great and he REALLY loves watching it and falling to sleep watching it, which is really it's purpose anyway!

I am thoroughly pleased with this product and I'm sure my wife and daughter would agree. Everything was as expected. We already have one mobile on our daughter's crib upstairs and wanted to have another downstairs since her wind up one broke. With the attachments, it can be put almost anywhere. Currently, we have it attached to the Rock N' Play with the arm. When we leave, we just un-velcro it from the arm and attach it to the car seat (Chicco Keyfit 30); it's great. I was afraid it was going to hang to far down in the car seat to where it was going to be in her face, but it is not; it's right where it should be. Music and battery life is good to go so far. We have been running Rayovac batteries for about 2 or 3 weeks now and it seems to still be going strong. We like it and it entertains our daughter. I recommend this product.

I like that this is portable, and I usually like the "tiny love" brand, but the mobile moves too slow, and there is no way to secure the arm from swinging around (we like to use it in the car to help distract and upset baby). Since the arm swings around, a parent has to hold it if you use it in a moving vehicle. On the positive side, I like that you can shut the music off and my 2-3 month old is entranced by the mobile.

This mobile fits nicely on my Arm's Reach Mini Co-sleeper just make sure you put the mobile right over the middle (and thickest) part of the ledge. It's been with my daughter since birth, and she's now 4 months old. It took a little bit of getting used to (probably about 1 month), but the soothing music is now a great help in putting her to sleep. I took off a star from the rating because the switch that changes between the OFF/Music/Mobile Only positions is hard to flip with one hand. I tried to do that a few times with my free hand while I have my daughter in my other arm, and I ended up almost knocking the mobile over. Also I wish there was volume control on this thing. But overall this is a great product and well worth the money.

Wonderworld Musical Tree

Bought this as a gift for my friend's 15-month-old little girl and it was a major hit! She and my 7-month-old were loving playing with the instruments right after the gift was opened. Great toy to hold baby's attention. If they are losing interest, just build up the musical tree tower, and BOOM!, they are mesmerized with it again! I will definitely be buying one for my little girl before long.

NOTE: Not the best toy for 7-month-old. I definitely needed to supervise her playing with it. I was mostly worried about the cymbal instrument pinching her little fingers or tongue (every thing goes in her mouth!) because it is metal.

We have a number of different musical instruments made for children. What we love about the Wonderworld Musical Tree is the instruments are small enough for little hands to hold and handle easily. We also appreciate the the instruments are made for little hands that shake from left to right instead of up and down (babies tend to wave things in front of them, rather than using the up and down motion that most adult instruments require). Fantastic toy--worth every penny. I never have it put together as the tree, but my daughter's two favorites are the green tambourine and the green and yellow clacker. She's had it since 9 months (not 13 months) and they are the perfect size for her little hands. She walks around the house shaking them!

When I ordered this dog for our daughter I expected a soft semi floppy stuffed animal to cuddle and play with. He is really really stiff. I'm not sure if it will just take some breaking in to make him more of cuddle material or if he will just be in the toy box. Other than that there are no flaws with him and the fabric is soft, he just isnt flimsy enough for her to cuddle.

This doll is NOT as pictured. The doll I recieved has a plush face, not a plastic face, and a different hat. I'm wondering if they changed the entire doll? It is not what I ordered, and am not happy as the price tag on the doll is much cheaper than what I paid.

My daughter received this doll for Christmas and is very happy with it. It is very well made. I gave it a high educational rating, since it is non-talking doll, I feel the child is encouraged to use their own imagination more. This doll is really adorable. Looks just exactly like Jessie. Her face has a "barbie-like" material. Her hair and body is like a rag doll. The only big disappointment is that it came without a box! It only came with a sealed plastic, which is trash as soon as you rip it open to get Jessie. Now, I have to worry about finding a decent box to put her in so I can wrap it nicely for Christmas. I just wish it came with a box that least says "Jessie" or something. It would have been a better presentation than wrapping it with plastic!

CoCaLo Dinos At Play Plush Dinosaur

Really cute, got it as a gift for my friends new baby boy. When I received it there was glue on the top fin, looks like where they sealed the bag it was in. Not a huge deal, but a little disappointing.

We do not have this bedding set, but this particular dinosaur plush completes our nursery decor. It is about a foot tall with very plush velour material. The blue sections are a wide corduroy style fabric, also plush velour in feel.

It is a soft sherbet orange color with light blue accents. The colors will work nicely for a girl or boy. It is a wonderful toy/decoration for any child's room, infant or older.

It is well constructed and very soft. I could not be happier!

Baby Bopper Baby Seat 1 Red

We bought this toy for our 8 month old daughter in hopes of providing her a fun and shaded pool toy. When we put her in it she did not fit comfortably in the seat and appeared as if she would tip over (she is on the larger side of babies her same age). We decided not to test out if she would be stable or not we went with instinct. Also, it was a breezy day the day we used it and the design of the float allows it to catch the breeze and go quickly across the pool. I guess we will give her the blow up hammer in another float!

My son is 3 1/2 (but size 5T) & Autistic, I have been searching for durable floats for his size, but with baby safety in mind. This one is Good... The only thing is leg openings are HUGE & he seems to end up over on one end of it..

Maison Chic Jersey Rattle

This is a cute, well made toy. The fabric is easy to clean, seems nice to chew on (my 8-month old's favorite thing to do with it!), and the bells on the inside have a pleasant chime. The turquoise and orange colors are quite vibrant. It seems a little pricey for something so basic, but maybe wait until it goes on sale and you won't be disappointed.

Tolo Toys Shape Sorter Play Bench

This is one of my son's favorite toys. He loves hammering on it and is very interested in the concept of getting the shapes into the correct hole.

The string attaching the hammer is so short that it makes the hammer very hard to use, even for daddy. If the string were longer it would probably be a strangulation hazard, but there is no good reason for the hammer to be tied on. (If you're worried about keeping all the parts together there are already 6 shape pieces that could come out and get lost under the furniture.) I cut the string off at both ends to make the toy usable.

We got this for our son's first Christmas when he was 10 months old. At first he just like the shapes when they were out of the table... they rattle. It wasn't until about 14 months old that he started to understand the concept of hitting them through the table with the hammer. Now at 17 months old it is one of his favorites. The string on the hammer could be just a little longer... it has to be lined up just perfect in order to have enough room to hit the shapes. Also the sides could be a little taller so that the shape actually fell through the other side when it is sitting on the floor. Normally my son wants me to hold it while he hits so he can push the shapes all the way through. Overall we really like this toy and I'm always excited to find a basic non-battery skill teaching toy. We recite the colors while playing with this and some of the shapes... although some are hard to really name. Oh and my son thinks any toy you can hit is great... definate bonus.

This toy was given to our little one when he was two and he just loves it. It gives him an outlet to bang on something without destroying it and it really keeps him occupied for a little while. He loves the fact that it looks like a tool bench and that he has his own hammer. That hammer has whacked quite a few thngs around the house, including the cat, and it doesn't hurt anything like the drywall, baseboards, etc. Really a nice toy and one that won't destroy other things in the house. It's easier to use than the wooden ones plus you don't have to worry about splinters. Some of the nuts are harder to get through than the others, but it really makes a nice challenge for him.

This is an excellent and VERY STURDY toy for your child. Highly recommended for age 1.5 2.0 or thereabouts. My twin girls are a little late in developing fine motor skills, and these big sturdy pieces (with interesting rattles inside) have been great for playing while working on some important coordination and manipulation activities.

I didn't mind the short tether on the hammer it helps keep them from using the hammer on stuff they shouldn't. :)

Unfinished Oval Bead Rattle

Not only does she love the sound the rattle makes, she likes to chew on it. Which is okay by me since it is untreated wood and not glazed or painted. She has taken the paint off her wood blocks from scraping her teeth, I had to take those away for now. At 9 months old this rattle is still a favorite. I bought 2 to give away as gifts and may need to buy 2 more. We did not have a problem with wood splinters like some of the other reviewers, but a light sanding on rough spots would fix that.

I was so excited to find this rattle (along with the similar version w/ a bell inside) because it's all natural (no paints) and MADE IN THE USA (hard to find anything NOT made in China these days). While it appeared just as the picture displayed, it was a big rough and my child ended up scratching himself w/ the non-smooth edges. For babies that put everything in their mouths, I'd hope the product would be smooth (e.g., sanded down more). Unfortunately, it's not the case. So, I'd say this product checks the box for being natural and made in the usa...but could be improved to be more "baby friendly."

My 11 month old received this toy for Christmas this year and LOVES it. However, like most children his age he is teething and sticks everything in his mouth. Well, the paint on the characters is coming off in his mouth. So, we have to watch him very carefully so that he isn't putting the little characters in his mouth. Other than the paint coming off, it's a cute toy. It doesn't do much, but it entertains my son for at least 10 minutes and that's quite an achievement!!

My son received the smartville ice cream shop for his first bday. he played with it all the time. We bought him the rest of the set for christmas. This is definitely his favorite toy. He is 15 months now and he plays with this set almost all day long. This is one of the best things I could have bought for him. He understands how it works by placing the characters on the round spots. I feel it will be a great teaching tool for when he is ready to learn the alphabet and his numbers.

My 1-year old son really enjoys this particular V-Tech toy (he has several). The stacking feature (package and letter) is a nice challenge. As V-Tech states, the add-ons (e.g., eagle) in these smaller units work with the large Alphabet Train Station. Love the volume control and auto shut-off features. Great buy at the low sale price. At the full price, may be better to save for the large train station.

Other than chewing of the little animals, my grandson doesn't play with this toy at all. He's had it for months and still no interest. He has his favorite toys but this isn't one of them. I wish I hadn't spent the money on it. I'm not even sure how a baby is suppose to play with this toy. There is no car to go down the road or bridge or what ever that blue thing is. You can't put the letter in the mail box, there is no place to put it "in". You can push it through the large hole in the top, but it's not the shape of the letter, and the mail box doesn't stand up on it's own. You're suppose to put the animals on the center magnet and it will tell you what it is, an owl and a couple others having nothing to do with mail. It's even hard for me to make it work, but it doesn't seem like much fun.

Russian Wooden Alphabet Blocks

The photograph does not do these blocks justice!!! I was hesitant to order them due to the high cost, but was delighted when I received these absolutely beautiful wooden blocks in the mail. The blocks are larger than what you typically see in the USA, around 2" square. They're well sanded hardwood with gently rounded edges (just enough so the little ones won't get splinters, but not so much that they do not fit tightly together when stacked). One side has carved letters so the child can feel how the letter is made, while another side has crisply printed letters or numbers. The little animal pictures on one side are sharply etched and the animal names are clear and easy to read (unlike most blocks that have fuzzy printing on them). I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for high-quality blocks to introduce the alphabet or stacking to their little ones.

The Russian Wooden Alphabet Blocks were the perfect gift for my Russian friend's one year old daughter! She loves them, and they are the right size for her hands. They are very sturdy and brightly colored. The only thing I would like to have had with them would be some type of carrying case or bag.

We own three sets of these--English, Russian, and Arabic.

I love the Russian blocks. My only issue is that although all of the letters are included, you cannot spell out the entire alphabet of 33 letters with the hard sign because there are only 32 blocks. This is possible because each block has a letter on four sides, so there is ample room for each character to appear two or more times. But since you can only display one side when lining them up, you can't line up the alphabet.

I suppose this is because raising the number of blocks would put the cost prohibitively high. However, I would have bought them anyway.

I bought the Arabic set last week and it is of just as good quality as the Russian blocks I bought four years ago.

Haba Meadow, Rug

I was hesitant to purchase a rug online but Amazon has never disappointed me. This rug can be found for double the price or more. It's easy to see why. It's high quality... very expensive. This was a steal. We were looking for a rug for our nursery. This fits PERFECTLY at the foot of the crib. We tucked it just slightly under the criband it fills the room with color and fun.

It was fulfilled by Amazon but sold by MLC Distribution, Inc. which also had made me skeptical but the company itself was fantastic. They wrote me an email once the order was made (along with Amazon's confirmation), and once delivered they enclosed a note on how to contact them if we had any problems with the rug.

We bought this for my daughters room and she absolutely loves it. She calls it her grass. The rug is high quality, great manufacturing, very durable, soft, vacuums up well, and I highly recommend it! I also like that it didn't have a funky carpet smell when we unwrapped it. It's just perfect! Worth every penny!

Buggyguard Retractable Stroller Lock

We took this on our trip to Disney World and it worked great. Once I got the hang of the mechanism I felt safe leaving my stroller while we were off doing other things. The lock did not have to be removed to collapse my stroller. It was very easy to work you still have to bend down and loop the wire through your tires, but if you didn't it wouldn't be much of a lock!!! Even when the Disney World staff moved the stroller and the wire got caught up in the wheels, it was easy to release the wire.

The only issue that we had was a user issue. I didn't give my husband training on how to unlock it and he left us to get the stroller while my son and I rode Peter Pan for the 5th time. Throughout the ride I kept thinking to myself "please don't let him try to get the lock off." Well he did and he either: hit all the buttons so many times that he broke the mechanism OR changed the code without knowing that he changed the code. Either way I couldn't get the thing unlocked. Luckily for us, Disney came and clipped the wire for us. NOTE TO MOMS: Either don't let your husband unlock it or fully train him on how to unlock it.

I'm not the type to write reviews but this one is worth it. The buggyguard stroller lock is long overdue and my husband and I have really enjoyed using ours. It's great for when we go to Disney World to know that our stroller will be there when we return from all the rides. I highly recommend this cute lock to anyone going to Disney or any other park. You'll be glad you have it. Trust us. We will not leave our $400 stroller unattended without the buggyguard. It's easy to put on and off and the peace of mind is invaluable It's also great to lock your bags to it as well. And I plan on using it on my kids bikes when they get older.

I bought this due to all the good reviews and for peace of mind when leaving my stroller unattended in the park/zoo/amusement park. I think that it's overpriced for such a flimsy cable lock. It really looks like it can be cut fairly easily. I've seen bike cable locks thicker than this for half the price! But if we're to assume people don't usually walk around with pliers, it's better than leaving your stroller unlocked. I also wish it was longer. It's only 4 feet long. In the commercials, it shows that you can pull this thing through the back wheels of any stroller to lock the stroller to itself. I have a Baby Jogger City Elite Single Stroller and the cord is too short to go through the back wheels and lock, so I can't even do that. And the most annoying thing, every time I try to lock it, the monkey unlatches from the velcro thing so I have to AGAIN and AGAIN reinsert it into the plastic holder piece, and carefully do this so it doesn't fall out again. It's such a frustrating pain in the butt!

The only thing I like about it is that it's retractable, and it offers some peace of mind when I'm with my child -so I'm not constantly looking over my shoulder to check on the stroller. Otherwise, it's a pain and sometimes I feel like not even dealing with it and just leaving the stroller!! :( I'll be purchasing a THICKER, LONGER and CHEAPER bike cable and throwing the Buggyguard in the garbage!

I wanted a doll that could do it all, i.e. get dirty and take a bath--I'm surprised there don't seem to be many that can (this was the 1st I saw that could & I was in a hurry :( ) The wiggly water effect is a nice idea and kind of works, but the doll is rather heavy when full of water--TOO heavy for my 18 month old. But she can and does love to play with this doll when its empty. The other big problem is that this doll can only lay down or I guess stand leaning against something. If you don't fill it with water and leave the plug open so air can flow in and out then you can kind of make it sit if you squish some air out, but eventually, it will fill with air again... All in all, it's just a doll, not really a "baby doll" in the pretend mothering sense of the word.

I got this for my son who was 16 months at the time. He liked it for about 5 minutes. First, it takes a bit of time to get the hang of how to push the buttons on the "remote" to make the lights and music work (it was hard for adults to do much less toddlers). When my son figured it out, he enjoyed playing with it for about 2 car trips. Now, he tosses the remote on the floor when I give it to him. He seems to be occasionally briefly entertained by the lullaby mode. I would say it is a better toy for younger children, but the difficulty in working the remote leads me to wonder that younger toddlers would not be able to get the interactive mode to work.

He loves this, whether it is playing the music softly, or he is pushing the buttons and listening to the sounds, he really enjoys it.

I bought this for my 14 month old daughter in hopes she would enjoy it to and from day care. She was not that interested. The buttons are hard to push on the plush remote and when you hit the monkey, the horn will sound on the truck or what you're trying to press won't sound at all. The idea of the toy is too simplistic for 12 month and above. The durability of the toy is good. The shipping was fast and the packaging was great. Just not over all wowed by the toy itself. Keep shopping!

I purchased this for my daughter to hook onto her crib. She absolutely loves them. I purchased this for her when she was about 6 mos. old and she's 8 mos. now and continues to play with them. I also have the larger Kushies set, I purchased this as an add-on as I have pieces in her daycare crib too. She loves to shake them and teethe on them as well! I will be purchasing for my new niece for Christmas. I highly recommend this product!

This toy is super cute and colorful! Our little bundle of joy has not arrived yet, but I'm sure he will enjoy it when he starts teething. If anything the color combinations are very eye pleasing.

Yes, the Zolo toys do appeal to me. But my little one (4 months) just loves them. This one has many teething rings and she reaches and grabs them and chews on them. I dangle it above and she smiles and try to reach for it.

It's an okay toy overall. It doesn't make noise and the mirror is tiny on it. He will not put this toy in his mouth even though he is teething. My child likes Freddie the firefly Lamaze toy a LOT MORE.
