I got this pool for my daughter who was 15 months at that time. We have used it for 2 months now and this is the best purchase so far for summer!!!! My daughter never wants to come out of it and even sits in it inside the house without any water :) the cushioned base is thick so she is not on any hard surface while enjoying the pool. THe fhowers provide the perfect shade and we use almost 2-3 times a week.

This pool is super cute. Our 1 year old loves it. It seems sturdy and nicely made. Our only problem is that the air in the top flowers doesn't seem to hold very well... they get soft after few hours. Not a big deal but a tiny negative.

Over all I'd have to say I'm satisfied with this pool. My daughter certainly seems to love it; however, the petals are difficult to keep inflated the valve keeps popping open, letting the air leak out. Between the two inflated and 1 semi inflated petals, though, they still seem to do a decent job providing shade. I'd recommend keeping the pool in the shade regardless though.

I absolutely love this pool, and so does my six month old daughter! There are three blow-up butterflies that Velcro to the pool, and she loves pulling them off and playing with them. Also, the bottom of the pool has a cushion part you blow up, so they aren't just sitting on the hard ground. This product is EXACTLY what I wanted, and would recommend this to anybody wanting an affordable, CUTE pool for their little one! =)

honestly we do not use to much but is nice for babys to play and keep them cool at summer time. a litlle hard to inflate the flowers , to complicated to take it to the beach for that I just got a simple one .

Little Tikes High Back Toddler Swing

I've bought this swing twice now, both times as a birthday gift for a one-year old niece/nephew. The kids are crazy about this swing--once they go in, they never want to get out! The swing is made from sturdy plastic that is molded into one piece; it's very easy to lift a child in and out of it, and there is an attached belt for safety. The swing nicely accomodates a one-year old child but slightly younger and a bit older would probably work too (the instructions indicate it holds up to 30 pounds). One minor issue is that you might need to obtain extra rope/chain in order to hang the swing properly--and you may have some trouble getting it straight--but overall, this a great gift that kids really enjoy.

I bought this swing to hang from our porch. It comes with pre-attached ropes that are not height-adjustable, so we had to get two pieces of chain to hang it at a safe level. Unfortunately, the nylon ropes that come with the swing have a tendency to twist against eachother so that the swing does not hang straight. It is pointed diagonally (this is not a problem of unevenness, so we can't slide the ropes through to fix the problem). I had hoped that the ropes would relax over time, but they haven't, and we just don't use the swing as much as we had planned. Otherwise I like the high back, large leg holes, and safety belt. I think I'll be replacing the ropes altogether.

While these blocks are at the higher end of the price scale they are worth every penny. I bought my 18 month old son two sets and they are extremely well made. The wood is a high quality. There are no rough edges as I've seen on some wooden blocks. The paint is durable and can withstand everyday abuse from toddlers. So far no chips. Each one is a little piece of art and different in it's own way. From metallic paint to bells, pearls and mirrors, each one is unique and offers a different element to playtime. These will stand the test of time and I intend to pass them on to my grandchildren. I am looking forward to buying more sets in the future.

These blocks are really colorful and fun. The different shapes make creating towers super creative and interesting. My son got them for his first birthday and all he did was chew on them, but now he's almost two and loves stacking them. Fisher-Price Laugh and Learn: Learning Kitchen

This is one of my son's Fisher-Price toys that he actually plays with. He is 17 months and is not interested in things that just make noise and flash lights anymore. With this toy he practices putting the shapes through the holes, turning on and off the light, putting the food on the shelf in the fridge, and putting the pan on the stove, in the oven, and in the sink. We also ask him questions and talk to him about the toy so he learns various foods and kitchen items. All toys are more fun for kids when you interact with them!

With four settings, I don't get as tired of listening to this toy as I do others each setting has different phrases and music that keep it interesting for the child and adult. I don't think he'll play with it for too much longer, but we will probably get it out again as soon as our next child can sit up.

After reading other reviews, I also wanted to say that our son has never pinched his fingers in the door and spends a good amount of time opening, closing, and moving the kitchen around. He used to pinch his fingers all the time in our real kitchen cabinets, so maybe this is a live and learn thing.

The only thing I would change is a way to keep it closed and a handle so it could be moved around with the pieces inside.

UPDATE: My son continued to play A LOT with this toy until he was 26 months old and we bought him a Kidkraft wooden kitchen. Even then he still played with this for a few weeks until I finally put it away. Granted, he is very into kitchen/cooking type activities, but I really think you can't go wrong with this toy from about 6 months and on, for boys or girls! We spent many hours playing with this together.

I was hesitant to buy this toy after reading reviews about babies' fingers getting smashed. I'm a hand surgeon, so the whole smashing fingers thing goes against most of my principles! However, the kitchen looked so fun that I thought I'd give it a shot, and return it if the risk was real. I closely supervised my 8 month old for a few weeks she totally loved all the songs and sound effects, but never got fingers caught anywhere. Though, her favorite thing to do is swipe down all the "groceries" (comes with milk, carrots, and ketchup) that I stack on the shelf of the fridge door.

I tried to close my own fingers in the door, and really couldn't figure out how this could smash fingers. I compared the toy we received to the one in the manufacturer pics ... the door has been redesigned since those pics were taken (I'm assuming in response to the finger-smashing thing). You can see the difference in multiple pictures, but especially the 4th one from the left on the Amazon site that's kind of an oblique view with the door closed. The white part of our door is cut so that there's a 2 inch segment that can actually touch the blue base, but the remainder of the door has a space so that fingers can't get caught.

Reviewers also commented that their kids knocked the kitchen over. My little girl did that a few times at first when she didn't know how to swing to door of the fridge open on the hinge. Once she figured it out, it didn't topple except when she pushed it over on purpose we can tell by her giggles and proud face. I only gave 4 stars because the "range" on the first kitchen we got didn't play music when you pressed it. The range on the second one worked, but the ball above it that you roll (which happened to be one of her fave parts of the first fridge) didn't play music reliably. So, a little lacking on the quality control, but still worth it once you get one that is fully functional.

If you have Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Baby's First Blocks, the round, triangular, and square blocks from this set also fit through the door in the fridge part of the kitchen!

Just noticed the current selling price is the retail price... I happened to get this for 40-50% off, which is a good value and what I think the toy is actually worth. Not sure that it's worth the full retail value, especially when I've gone through 2 that don't work 100%.

This toy REALLY held my 10 month olds interest, she loves it BUT she has smashed her fingers twice in less than a week! It opens and closes too easily, the fridge door is too light compared to the sink side and when slightly moved one side always falls shut on the other. Since she likes to move it around her little hands keep getting caught. All babies are curious and cannot be expected to leave a toy sitting where you leave it. Since she is so entertained with it we took the center hinge out so that she can still play with the two separate parts.

I read on the saftey issues other people had and adjusted the toy:

Put the hard side of velcro on the bottom of the toy so it will "cacth" on carpet. This will hold the toy in place and it wont topple over as easily. If you have hard wood, simply apply the soft side of the velcro to where your child plays with the toy (its just tape and will come off when cleaned). As for the pinching finger, if you have the toy on foam flooring, it makes it not so easy to close the fridge door.. child hasnt pinched fingers for the months she has played with it.

This is a very cute toy. My 1 year old daughter got it for her bday and enjoys playing with it. The only real issue with it is that the two sides fold up too easily and her fingers get caught in between the two pieces and she of course cries. I've taken it away from her for now until she gets older or we figure out a solution to it not closing on her fingers. I've read some reports of the same thing happening to other little ones so I'm not alone on this.

This toy is supposed to be free of PVC's and we bought them to replace our old bath toys. These ducks have held up well for us over two years of use now.

I bought these little fella's because I was replacing all of my little one's crappy toxic bath toys with non toxic ones. These are a bit small, but they're cute, they float and squirt water and serve there purpose just fine. However my only complaint is that my baby decided to try his new teeth out on the yellow one the other day and the paint flaked off a bit, but it didn't seem dangerous and it just looks a little rough now.

Jungle Pals Lion Stacking Puzzle

This is a great concept, and I bought the lion and zebra. Buy more than one animal for open-ended play. The pieces fit together loosely enough that a young toddler can easily fit them together. Unfortunately, that also means that the animals do not hold together well; the legs fall off when the animal gets lifted off a table. The Topozoo animals fit together snugly enough to be picked up; I would recommend those for the over two age group, and these for under two.

Gund Hoagie Brown 13" Bear Plush

This bear is super cute, much cuter than in the picture. The snout/muzzle goes out farther (like most Gund bears) and it has a big pop-belly. It has beads in the bottom so it's sort of weighted and can sit up on it's own. It is not overly stuffed so it's very huggable. The 'fur' is very plush and soft. He's a great size too. This has become my toddler's favorite lovie by far and is a constant companion. Naps, outings, errands, he has even flown! Very cute and lovable like all Gund products.

Very cute!!!! He is exactly as described, for sure we will be getting more bears from Gund collection.

I don't have kids, so it's hard for me to know what to buy friends and relatives that have babies....When I discovered this bear, I didn't know whether I would be the hit of the baby shower or snickered at for being that "motherless" friend who doesn't know anything about babies.....I was the hit of the shower!! The mothers of the group loved it and when the baby came, it was the only thing to soothe her to sleep...It's now my "baby shower" gift tan for boys, pink for girls (I actually prefer the tan). This bear is so much better than I thought it would be! It's so soft and very pretty. I thought it would be bigger and bulkier, but it's small enough to put in my daughter's first pictures from the hospital when she is born! The sounds and lullabies it plays are beautiful, and the sound quality is great. Only down side is that the mother's heartbeat kinda sounds like a muffled motor rather than just a clear pulse, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But you can take the sound box (with the two velcro loops) out when your baby gets older so they can play and cuddle with it. I would definitely recommend buying this bear!

I purchased this for our 16mth old grand daughter when she was born.

It is an amazing little bear. We turned on the womb sounds {which by the way is strange to us adults} but she loved it. It was calming to her. And she slept peacefully with the music. The only time we played it was in her bed. So she knew when she heard the music it was time for a nap. As she got older {7-8 mths} we took the mechanism out of the bear, attached only that to her crib and she played with the bear outside the crib. Mommy finally put it up when she was 1.

I just purchased another one for our other daughters new baby. Anxious to see if it works for her baby in the same manner.

This is the first review I have ever posted on Amazon.com. When my daughter was born, my then boss brought this for our newborn daughter days after her birth. On his arrival, I was in the middle of dealing with my first diaper malfunction. We joked that I would lovingly call the puppy PP a reference both to the Pink Puppy as well as the diaper malfunction. I had no idea that 6 years later we would still be hearing daily references to PP. After hearing the story of PP's arrival many times, our daughter decided to legally change it's name to Grace (she actually asked if there was anything official she needed to do...). Anyway, I wish there were words to describe the amount of love and comfort this has brought to our little girl over the years. We have several times tried to wein her from this toy to no avail, but have decided to let nature take it's course.

As for quality... the barker stopped working about 18 months after her arrival... (This was a blessing if you ask me She has also been re-stuffed at least three times, but I would not hesitate to buy this for another newborn girl anytime soon. I never would have thought that 6 years later I could find the same stuffed dog, but sure enough this is the same dog, and the name matches the tag on it's back 'Baby Gund Spunky'. She'll always be a part of our memories of this time in life.

My second daughter is super attached to this toy and she sleeps with it all the time. We first got one when I had my first daughter 4 years ago. It was very soft and cute the quality was much better then the one I recently bought. However, 2 years later, we lost it and I ordered it online since that was the only place I found it. I was surprised to see that the quality went down I had to stitch it up in a couple places within the first couple weeks we got it. I was very disappointed. I'll probably have to buys another one because she is so attached to it and we only have one. But I did not think it is worth the price.

It works great and is indestructible, but make sure you like hearing "Three Blind Mice" because there is no "off" button and there is no volume button, so any time it gets put in the toy box or bumped or stepped on, you are stuck hearing whatever song it decides to play at the time. I got it for a car ride last Christmas for my 2-year old and my 3-year old. It entertained them for the car ride but they showed no interest in the toy since then. Probably a younger child would like it.

Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Classical Stacker

I bought this one before my baby was born and he was just enthralled with it from day one. Whenever I pushed down on the star and the thing lit up, he just was mesmerized by it. Then, he decided that, being the engineer that he is, he'd rather play with it without the stars on it so he can see how it works. He just loves that! It's just so very pretty when it lights up and it also teaches coordination. He still plays with it and he's now three. Definitely a fanstastic purchase, one that can withstand having food dumped on it, being tossed onto the floor numerous times, you name it and it is still just like new.

This is my son's favorite toy, and for eleven bucks that's quite a deal. He literally can play with this toy for hours if given the opportunity. He's learned to press the button on the top that plays the music, and as soon as he does, he looks at everyone in the room and gives them a "look how smart I am" smile. It's hilarious! He's just now learning (at 12 months) how to put the stars back on the base. He couldn't do this a couple of months ago; he could only get them off, so it has grown with him. I put scotch tape over the speaker because there is no volume control and it can be quite loud. The tape still lets the tunes be heard, but now I don't have to talk over it! My mother is a daycare provider and she also has this toy, and her children love it, too; they even fought over it until she bought another one. That means I know of at least three children who can't get enough of this toy. It's worth its weight in gold!

Our 11 month old has been playing with this toy since he was 6 months old. He really likes the lights, sounds and music. However, I was disappointed that the stacker is shaped like a cylinder so you can put the stars on in any order you choose. So it does not teach children that the big star goes on the bottom and get smaller as you go up. Also, the star that goes on top is cute, but it almost never gets used in conjuction with the stacker. It didn't take long for our baby to figure out that you just have to press the button on the top to get the music to play.

Sassy Simple Fascination Station

I just wanted to post here and clear up something about this item:

In an older version of this toy, Sassy made this toy slightly different. Instead of two clear pastic balls, one of the balls was replaced by a plastic (i think it was a ladybug or something like that?) that played music. It had a little speaker box with holes in it, and also a small compartment for the battery that was screwed on.

The music would play if the toy moved even the slightest bit. You will read in many of the reviews that this was very annoying, since there is no off button. I definitely agree with that (although my daughter seemed to enjoy it!). As you know, babies drool and barf and one time my daughter barfed right on this toy, filled the speaker holes with her spit up. The music stopped playing. There is another reviewer here that had the same thing happen --and to their surprise when they opened up the battery compartment they found the battery had been corroded from the liquid! Needless to say after I read that my wife and I threw away the old toy.

Now the newer version (the one that is CURRENTLY sold here on Amazon) is as shown in the picture --two clear plastic balls. This newer version does NOT play music. The only sounds it makes is a slight rattle from the little plastic pieces inside one of the big plastic balls. Aside from that, this is the same toy as before. I like this newer version better as it is less annoying for the parent and there are no electronics to be barfed on. I have had no problems with the suction cup but others have noted that it does not stick well for them, so maybe it just depends on the surface.

I keep this at home, on the counter in front of her high chair, and take it with me when we dine out. I stick it on the table and she enjoys playing with it. She can pull it towards her to chew on the pieces, which I like, and she hasn't been able to pull it out of the base yet, which surprises me because she is SUPER strong and has yanked up every suction plate made. We have gotten a lot of use out of this toy, one of the top 10 for sure.

We puchased this in January 2011. My son is a year old now and is still playing with it! No problems with the suction cup, works great. We atttach the two pieces together with necklace that is a teether on a string, one product two jobs! We always take it when going out to eat, best thing ever. Was well worth the price. My son loves it! We stick it on the high chair, on tables, and on his bumbo tray. Great suction and durability when he is bending it back and forth. Great buy!
