I purchased this as a one-year birthday gift for my grandson. My 3 year old granddaughter fell in love with the elephant, named it immediately, and became the elephant's "best friend".

Angry Birds Plush 5-Inch Black Bird with Sound

This is one of the smaller birds (about the size of a baseball) but it has quality plush and appliques it looks suitably angry! To get the sound, you press the forehead (between the eyes and the crest) and it plays 3 different sounds from the game. The sounds come at random rather than a sequence, which is nice. One of the sounds is unique to that particular bombing bird.

They have a larger base so they sit still without rolling over despite being ball shaped. The noise maker is suitably padded and you can throw this around quite a bit without worrying it will break the sound box. This bird has been airborn quite often and hasn't stopped working a bit.

We have all of the sizes of the birds and this size is nice and compact a bit firmer than the larger ones.

In all, it's expensive for the size but it is a quality piece.

to my MAJOR disgust and to their MAJOR disappointment there was a tag underneath the angry bird tag on it that said "Warning: contains lead. May be Harmful if eaten or chewed. May generate dust containing lead."

are you kidding me? first of all this is not mentioned in the listing what so ever, but on top of that it contains lead and is rated for ages 1+?

needless to say this was a great disapointment, and they were promptly returned.

The black bird which is my favorite bird as being the bomber bird, is a great plush toy for kids. It makes three different sounds. It is very light for its size which is nice so you can throw it around the house. Great birthday present for kids who love the Angry Birds and also great if you just want too collect them. The bomber bird is identical to the bird on the app.

The weak point of the bird is that the soundbox breaks easily and would be extremely difficult to fix.

1.2.3 Airport Shuttle Bus

My daughter was given this bus when she was 14 months old. From the start, she loved taking the people in and out and taking the luggage out (she can't put them in yet). Over the last few months, she has really been attached to it, dragging it with her all over the house. Of course, as any parent knows, kids' toy preferences change, but overall this is a winner. Four little people and four pieces of luggage--not to mention the luggage bay doors, which come off too--make this a very interesting toy!

Got this for a friend's boy, birthday gift. He seemed to gravitate toward it -the people are large enough for little hands, the bus has plenty of options for the people, suitcases fit neatly into the cargo areas for "transport". It doubles as a firetruck, in a three-year-old's mind, as well.

Overall, the playmobil's seem to be well-built and good for small hands and large, creative minds. The plastic is formed well, there's no "plastic odor", there are no sharp corners, and it appears it is built well enough to endure plenty of abuse. Definite recommend.

I really wanted to like this, it was our first playmobil purchase and it was for Christmas, so there were high hopes. Butits just not that great. My son is 2.5 and loves the bus and pretending. But, he noticed right away that the wheels don't workthey do turn but when he pushes it along on most surfaces they don't move and that annoys him. Even with the people and the suitcasesthis just hasn't held his attention because it doesn't "drive" like it's supposed to. I'm now reluctant to purchase other playmobil sets. For his birthday we will be investing in hot wheels instead...

I got this for my grand daughter who is almost 3. She loves all of the people. I have to say I had a really hard time getting the triangle to fit into the suitcase hold but my grand daughter didn't so I guess it is for her age after all. I like the way the people fit in and stay put even when the bus is going for a bumpy ride off the couch. We love playmobil and this is another in the long line of fun toys we have gotten from them.

The songs are a bit tinny and can be annoying (that's why I'm giving it 4 stars) but my 14 month-old really likes this toy. We bought it as he loves the Old MacDonald song and he enjoys playing with the toy, we are hoping that he will pick on the shape-sorting bit soon. Textures, sounds, shapes, colors, patterns, animals...Our son loves to play with this activity book! Its really bright and engaging, with four panels front and back with animals on one side (a duck, mouse, snake, and shape "house") and food (mushroom type thing, flower/carrots, fish, and yellow "cheese" according to my toddler) on the back. A few of the panels make a crinkle sound, which is wildly entertaining for my son! There is even a small orange teether connected to one of the panels. It is a wonderful toy for tummy time. The best part about the book is that you can unconnect the panels and rearrange them! A great buy!

Our daughter began teething early (before four months); however, since she is so young, she has a hard time holding a teething ring. This teether was just what the doctor ordered. The fabric is easy for her to grip and manipulate into her mouth. She loves to chew on the frozen knots. If you just wet the knots and toss it in the freezer, the rest of the cloth isn't too cold to hold (unlike those other totally frozen rings). Since she is so young, she has a harder time holding the ring. I'm sure she will enjoy it too though when she can hold it better.

While I have ordered a lot from Amazon and have benefited from reading reviews, I must admit, I have not written one until know. I am reviewing this product because I just ordered a 2nd one of these teethers! I want to be able to always have one handy when one is in the wash or just MIA. I've had one (the bamboo) for over a month and my now 6.5 month old daughter continues to dig it enough to prompt me to get a second. I've washed it several times and it still looks great. She loves to teeth on the little knots as well as the ring and it is easy to grip and maneuver. I often take it with me in the stroller or when I have her in the Ergo because she likes to grip things (especially cloth) and this works perfectly. The fact that it is organic makes me feel so much better about all the time she spends happily sucking on the fabric.

With trying to be fair that this item is what it is...I still have to give only 3 stars. This is very thin and not the material you would think! I was thinking thicker cotton with a bit of nubble to it...but not! The ring in the middle is super smooth with no texture to teeth on. My grandson whom just turned 6 mo just hates this thing.

Love that is is Organic and free of toxins...and again it is what it is so can't blame the concept. Just too thin, bad fabric and smooth ring.

Crocodile Creek Horses Placemat

The picture is already fading and colors coming off. I only washed it by hand with soap and water and the picture now looks crappy. It does protect table, but it should last longer for what it cost.

We love Crocodile Creek placemats, they are so cute and artsy and sometimes even educational! They also lack the annoying licensed characters you see EVERYWHERE. These placemats are just what they are; thin, vinyl placemats. We do notice that if they are scrubbed too hard (like if you let food dry on them before wiping) the color will tend to come off. They also slide pretty easily on smooth surfaces. But as a cute kid placemat, they serve their purpose. Prices fluctuate a lot on Amazon (I have seen price changes of up to three dollars over the span of a few days) and a lot of different sellers seem to sell them; don't pay more than $5 or you're getting ripped off.

I have a few of these Crocodile Creek placemats. They are by far the most attractive placemats I have found. BUT, they are the LEAST durable. The pictures scrape off easily and I have only used a sponge on them. They still keep my table clean like they're supposed too, but they are not cute any more. They would be better play mats but not good for eating and wiping clean. Not a great purchase.

Winnie bobs up and down when you push this toy and makes my grand daughter laugh every time. The Winnie the Pooh series is so innocent. Something that is hard to find now days. I encourage all Grandparents to buy Winnie toys.

This is okay nothing really special. I bought this because it was on sale and really cheap on amazon and we wanted to get a few little toys for my then 5 months old. I love Winnie the Pooh as a child so of couse I love anythign Winnie. The soft ears are nice, the yellow button is okay... the squeaky sound is not that loud and it didn't wheel very far. At first I tho this was one of those if you pulled backwards, it would just roll on it's one... that would have made this toy wayyy cooler... but it doesnt do that. I this is probably a sturdy safe toy for little babies... it's cute to look it but I don't think it's that fun after 2-3 minutes.

My toddler loves this train! He has several trains, but this one gets the most use. He loves laying down on the floor and pushing it all over the living room. My wife and I bought this for my sonm when he was 3 months old. Everytime he would cry, we played the ABC's and it would calm him down. He would cry every time we took it away until he fell asleep. Now that he is 13 months old, he sleeps with it in his crib and it still helps him go to sleep. He holds on to it all night long and when he wakes up in the middle of the night, we hear the ABC's going until he falls back asleep. When he throws it out of his crib, he cries until we give it back to him. We are going to buy another one, just in case something happens to the one he has. We bought this toy when my daughter was 6 weeks old. I held it up to show her in the store and she cried when I tried to put it back. We tried substituting the smaller dragon, but she could tell the difference so Dragon came home with us. At seven months, Dragon still gets smiles. i am really happy with this dog! bought it for my almost 3 year old son because it looks like our nearly ancient dog (a mix breed). i think my husband might like to have it around for when our dog dies too, it might be a nice comfort to have this softie toy dog around for both of them to talk about and cuddle with and share memories etc..

it has a happy sweet expression (some other plush toys i have bought really dont have happy or nice faces...), and it is poseable, it will sit up without drooping or lay down flat as shown. the body is nicely understuffed for a very cuddly feeling. there are beans in the bum and feet. the shape of the dog has a perfect skinny spot right under the arms where a child will hold it to carry around or to squeeze it to hug. there is no stuffing in the ears so they are very soft.

the fur is quite soft to touch and all the seams are solid. it is well made for the price.

I originally bought this item as a gift for my niece, but my dog heard the pleasant sound and had to have it. So i bought two and now i have a happy niece and nibbler. The sound is really pleasant and easy to make.

My daughter is fascinated by texture. The multiple frills on this toy ensures that my daughter keeps scratching at it, grabbing it, and petting it. The chime inside seems to make her happy, she opens her mouth very wide, laughs, and smiles.

I leave this toy hanging on the side of her crib when she sleeps. When she wakes up she likes to bat it around. This serves two purposes. It lets me know that she is awake and keeps her entertained while I'm getting to her.

This toy does not need to be dangling in order for my daughter to have fun with it. I will often give it to her to play with. She chews on it and shakes it around so that she can hear the rattle. I have seen no signs of fraying and the toy still looks like new, even after five months.

This toy has been the answer to our prayers for my nephew. He is 18 months old and has PDD, as well as a sensory perception disorder. Infantino Light and Sound Ball Musical Toy

The toy is great, and my son really enjoyed it. However, the batteries will eventually die, and you will then find that for some ungodly reason, this toy uses THREE button batteries. Whose idiotic idea was this? Three button batteries will cost you almost as much as a replacement toy. There is no shortage of equally enjoyable toys out there that use (cheaper and more readily available) AA or AAA batteries, and I'd suggest you purchase one of those instead.

Bought this for my 3 month old grandson. He loved it. Within 3 months the batteries died. It takes three button batteries that are hard to find (the ones that came in the toy are from China with a numbering system that has to be cross referenced). When I did finally track the correct size down, I was disappointed that the batteries are $4.95 each (you need 3 of them). The battery compartment is really hard to open.... the screw is microscopic and just keeps turning when you get to the end. I had to get a second screwdriver to pry the lid up while I got the last few threads out of the base. Lesson learned...won't by a battery operated anything unless I know what size batteries it will need for replacement.

Our 5 month old son isn't sitting unassisted yet, but can roll from his tummy to his back with ease (not back yet). This is the first age that he has really paid attention to this toy. He lays on his tummy, grabs it and moves it all over the place laughing at all of the sounds it makes, seemingly mesmerized by the lights, and attempts to chew all of the little edges and curves of it. He also finds it fun to watch mom and dad toss it back and forth. Basically, this ball, when you turn it on, makes a different sound every time it rolls to a different side. It lights up blue/green/yellow as well. Very simple, entertaining toy.

UPDATE: FYI, this thing takes some odd battery that most stores usually will never have in stock. Once the batteries finally died in this thing, we never replaced them and our son outgrew it anyway...

My son received this as a gift when he was about 2 1/2 months old. He loves it. The lights and sounds capture his attention no matter what is going on. Even when he is fussy about something, if I show him the ball with the lights, he starts to smile.

My daughter loves this ball. She is very captivated by the lights and sound. The music is not super-annoying or anything -I find myself humming along. There is a motion sensor in it so whenever the baby moves it, the lights will activate and it will play a short musical clip. If you move it while it is playing, it will change to the next track (like an Ipod shuffle). You can turn it off or on, which is good for traveling and you don't want it going off.
