I have twins and got this bunny and the bear for my boys, and they're both big fans (currently 4 months old). One gets all excited and animated when we bust out the bunny and he'll clutch it, chew on the rings and pads, snuggle the bunny face etc. Great item.

This is a great little naptime cozy...my son always puts blankets on his face and the bigger blankets would worry us because we wondered if he could breathe well. After everyone freaks you out about SIDS...I found this little cozy blanket to be PERFECT because its so light, but the beak gives your baby something to chew on, and of course he loves the tags (as all babies seem to). I really reccomend this little duck. Its great.

Maybe it's my fault but when I saw Duck blanket on the description I thought it was a blanket. Maybe I misunderstood...but this thing is the size of a wash cloth. I was so disappointed. So tiny! My son loves ducks so I thought I would get him a duck blanket, I ended up getting a duck wash cloth.

My daughter was getting interested in our TV controller, so I caved and finally bought her something with buttons for her. I saw this little guitar, and fell in love.

The colors are perfect for a young baby; they're not too distracting or overstimulating.

The sound is quieter then other baby toys, so I won't find it as obnoxious when she smashes the buttons repeatedly. Plus, I love the three different guitar tunes it plays. They're different than the tinny sound of repetitive children's songs that flood the baby toy industry.

There are only three buttons. Being simpler like this makes it easier for baby to learn cause-and-effect.

I do wish there was a way to change the batteries. But I knew this before I bought it.

Noise-making toys like these can be be helpful in a child's cognitive development, but most are annoying and probably do more harm than good. Speaking from an early childhood development background, I recommend this one.

Just took the guitar out of the box and pulled out the battery tab. Handed it to my baby and pushed a button to watch him play with it. Couldn't hear anything. Had to put the product to my ear to hear the music. Like the other comments said the music device is completely encased in hard plastic with no holes for sound to come out. Also can't find a way to change the batteries. So again...DO NOT BUY

Infantino Flip and Peek Fun Phone

I bought this in Pink for my 9 month old since she loves playing with my cell phone, and I thought it looked pretty realistic. She is not interested in this toy. Plus, the buttons aren't that sensitive, so it's difficult for her to get it to make any of the noises. This phone says three phrases: "Hello, hola," "How are you? Como estas?" and "Goodbye, Adios." There is no Spanish setting; it says the English first followed by poorly pronounced Spanish. It also makes a dialing sound and musical ringing sound. On the plus size, the mirror isn't quite as distorted as most that are used for baby items, and it closes and opens slowly so as not to pinch little fingers. FYI: I purchased this on Amazon for $9.99. I would check Walmart first for a better price.

Bought this phone so my 6 month old would stop freaking out when I talked on the phone and she couldn't have mine. Its a great phone, but she was not fooled. I think she likes how mine closes with kind of a snap shut. and this one has a smooth close hinge. Meaning no pinched fingers or surprises. She playes with it some.

My 15 month old daughter has had lots of play phones, but this one is the best. Its lite and easy for her to pick up and open. She could open it when she was 8 months old. Its easy to hit the buttons also. It plays songs, makes dialing noises and speaks. It has a mirror also. This is definitely her favorite one. Its not annoyingly loud either. I had to buy her another one on amazon because I lost the first one and I honestly could not find another phone that was even comparable to this one. Cant find it at WalMart anymore. Cute product with nice little ringtones when babies push the buttons, but this product is NOT bilingual. Whoever did the speaking for the recording has a HORRIBLE accent and should honestly be embarrassed. Infantino should be embarrassed. We have a fully bilingual household (my husband is a native Spanish speaker and I am 100% fluent), and I really wish I could turn off the "biligual" part of this phone it does more harm than good, and I truly hope that Infantino will fix this.

I should have known this wouldnt be compatible with all types of cribs! I have it attached to mine but not in the location its suppose to be where she can look in the mirror and play with the toys. Its at the bottom by the mattress but my daughter who is 7 months old goes to sleep to it and its not soft music either but she relaxes to it somehow. The only real flaw for me was if you have the sleigh type cribs that are thicker up top you cant install it the way it is meant to be installed. You have to have the skinny top rails. Update: my daughter is now 17 months old and I'm JUST taking this mirror off cause it was a blessing to have during the rough sleepless nights and crankies! She never became attached however some how it kept her calm and she went to sleep! Plays for a good length of time which I LOVED!! Can't seem to part with it though cause it was such a big part of our routine lol.

We love this item! Baby is still to young to pull on the toys, but she enjoys the lights and music. I can't wait for her to be able to sit up and see herself in the mirror. We have the rainforest play gym and enjoy that as well.

We received the Rainforest waterfall soother as a gift, and our baby loves it so much that I bought this mirror. It's not soothing, its music is high energy and gets our baby very excited! This item is bulky. Its bigger than it needs to be. The wind up factor is a hassle. The music only last about 20 seconds. I kept having to go back and forth to keep winding up the mobile. Id rather it take batteries. As for it being "on the go" i give it an F. You need to pull up the animals to make them shorter or they will be right in the babies face. The animals do not stay pulled back, they kept falling and draged across my babies face. Poor little guy. I returned this item asap!

This is an absolute waste of money. It does say that it plays for 21/2 minutes but then to wind it up is very noisy and so distracts a baby who is being soothed. My son didn't like it anyway. Tiny Love is a better buy. Glad this was a gift and I didn't spend my money!

I bought this one at my local toy store and it cost me $50..

PROS

-Wind up music is more relaxing than recorded one (in my opinion)

-Assembly is easy (at least for me it is and I'm not an engineer)

-Bright colors, beautiful animals with plastic and plush textures caught immediatly my baby's attention. they seem friendly

-It takes along with the stroller which is a great thing, it is true the animals are near the baby's face but they don't hit my baby at all, in any case i wouldn't take it inside a car because with such movement they might. I use them inside the house when I'm at the computer I put my baby in the stroller and she keeps quiet with them

-Cheap but great materials. i don't agree with other customer who said the giraffe is "too bulky" . I think it is great and it stays in place. If it was lighter it wouldn't hold well the mobile and it would keep falling like other similar product i saw people wrote about in amazon

-Perfect fit on a Graco Pack 'N Play with Newborn Napper Station DLX, Jacqueline!! :) and the crib as well

CONS

-Music lasts about 2 minutes as much, so if the baby is bored enough she/he will cry when it stops and you will have to keep near him/her to put it up again and again

-It only plays one melody

All in all I would recommend this mobile as a standard , take-along one but suggest you should have another one with longer music, batteries for the crib.

Gund Spunky Motion Musical Blue 8" Toy

my son loves his dog and sleeps with him every night. we've owned two in the last 9 months b/c his grandma's dog got ahold of his stuffed dog and ripped it in two places so i just replaced it. so i am not sure how long the musical wind-up key will last. however it has lasted so far and that's after nightly use. ALSO i know from experience with his sister's wind-up teddy bear that if you put them in the washing machine (which is not recommended anyway) then it will stop playing music. at least ours did.

I was looking for a simple, non-toxic teether/nursing necklace for my son. Something for him to chew on while babywearing and something to give him to focus on/fiddle with while nursing.

This is cute, and comfy to wear.

It is plain. (I was thinking it'd go with everything I wear)

However, it's an awkward length. It falls right at my breast line, at my sternum. The problem with this is that it lies funny. I can't tuck it under my shirts because it gives me a weird shape in between my breasts, and to wear it out on top of my shirt it just...looks funny.

So I've resorted to carrying it in my diaper bag and basically using it as a toy when he's in the shopping cart, or I'll slip it over my neck when wearing him while out and about. But unfortunately I don't wear it like jewelry like I hoped I would.

My daughters love this! My 4 month old holds it all day long and when she sets it down my two yr old is on it like white on rice ... The only thing is that I wish it came in other colors because I'd buy them all. Love it love it love it!

Playskool Busy Gears

I was hoping that this toy would be a little more hands on and allow the child to move the gears himself to figure out how they cause each other to turn. It is a bit more lights, sounds, and electronic movement than I hoped, and doesn't leave much room for creativity. I was hoping that it could offer multiple ways to place the gears, but gear placement is limited. My 2 year old does enjoy it for a few minutes, but usually moves on from it once he's removed and put the gears back on a few times. Although the gears can also be stacked, they are a bit unstable in the stacked position.

My son received this toy for his first birthday! I will be purchasing it as gifts for all my friends!! He LOVES pushing the button and listening the the music. I was wondering if he would be able to figure out the gears, but he has caught on very quickly and loves to take the gears off and put them back on. He also enjoys stacking the gears up and watching them go around! I like that it has a handle so he can carry it around with him. It keeps him involved for up to 20 minutes at a time!

It is very durable as he carries it around, has chewed on the gears (which are made of strong plastic and cannot be marred by chewing on them).

My three year old also likes to play with it! Her play is a little sofisticated with it as she tries to figure out which gears have to be put where (as in, do they have to be next to the middle spinning one) placed to make them spin and how many can be stacked and they still turn.

My one wish is that Playskool would include a few extra gears. We have them everyhwere in our house and cannot always find them all. It would be great if they had a place where you could purchase extra ones for replacements and/or to have extras for stacking.

This is an awesome toy that the kids love, can learn from, and is very durable! It is a must have!!

My daughter Hannah received this as a gift for her first birthday. She loves the music and presses the button to just listen to it play. We didn't think she'd figure out the gears, but she absolutely loves it! she takes the gears off and puts them back on! She totes them around the house in her little basket, and then brings them back to put on the toy. She'll sit in front of this toy for 20 minutes at a time, walk away and then come back to play some more.

My only issue is that the gears are starting to get lost around our house. Hasbro should provide a few extra gears for when the first few get lost. Overall a terrific toy!!

I purchased this toy for my one year old after reading glowing reviews. The toy is okay but not terrific. It holds my child's attention for a much shorter time than her other toys, although other children may enjoy it more.

Pros

The turning mechanism is safe enough not to pinch little fingers, just a little bit of pressure stops them from turning.

Taking the gears on and off encourages dexterity.

Cons

The music is terribly annoying after a short while (although this is true of most baby toys).

The toy can't be carried by the handle because the gears fall off.

There are no spare gears provided so unless you are very diligent about keeping this toy together some will be lost.

My 1-year old enjoys this, but there's really not much to it. You push the button, it plays a tune, then the gears spin. My son can easily pull the gears off and put them back on, and he frequently will hold the center gear so everything stops.

I do wish there was a little more to it, but it is very cute for what you pay for it.

FYI, make sure the switch on the back is set correctly. We didn't realize it was set to DEMO and it barely played any music at all. Now that it is set right it plays a variety of short tunes before & after the gears spin.

Woodstock Percussion Musical Instrument (Pack of 12 Mini Jambourines)

I ordered these back in May, 2009, and received 24 as stated. We use them in our toddler room at church and the kids love to march around with them during songs. I did cut off the strings that are looped through the handles, however, because several of the kids wanted to swing them around.

I teach early childhood music classes, and this little tambourine is wonderful because it sounds decent and the jingles are enclosed so babies can't chance cutting their gums or tongues on the edges. Bright red color, easy to grip, (cut off the strings), and shake away!

Beware!! The product is described as a "set of 24", but I only received ONE mini jambourine. When I called customer service to find out if there had been a mistake, they said that there had indeed been a mistake, and that I should return the item and wait for the proper replacement shipment. The replacement shipment arrived, and it was again only ONE mini jambourine, not a set of 24 (not even a set of 12, as stated further down in the amazon.com description). $25 for one small piece of plastic is outrageous.

Baby Luv Nightlight and Music Turtle

Maybe just a fluke, but one of the turtles didn't work. Brand new, out of the box, and we couldn't turn it on or off. After playing with it for a period of time we are able to finally get it to work but our three year old is not able to operate it on her own. Also, each turtle has a hole in it to use an ac adapter to plug it in. The turtles didn't come with a cord though.

We bought this for our baby for Christmas. He hasn't gotten to use it much because his siblings keep taking it from him. Our 2 year old and 4 year old love it! It's a sweet little turtle and works as a great nightlight. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is that the music is echo-y and loud. There is a switch to turn the music to a lower volume but it doesn't turn it down enough. I would think for an infant it would need a quieter setting. Also a timer for the light to dim and shut off would be an excellent feature. Overall we like it.
