Kawasaki Trike

I bought the trike for my nephew as a Christmas gift. I got it baring in mind that his older brother was getting a real 2 stroke fourwheeler from Santa. It arrived well in advance of Christmas, even though I purchased it a mere two weeks before the holiday. The assembly required could have been done by trained monkeys. He loves it, although his little stubby legs are a bit too short to reach the petals still. His parents are now forced to cart it back and forth everywhere they go because Bren refuses to be parted with his trike.

We got this trike for our 2 1/2 year old son and he absolutely loves it. When looking into this trike I was a little concerned that it looked like a lot of plastic but it is a very rugged trike. Very heavy duty! And it was a breeze to put together! Didnt even need to look at the manual. My 2 year old doesnt want to leave it alone and my 1 year old is trying to convince us that he is big enough for it so I would say it is a big hit at our house.

Pros: Rugged construction with heavy duty frame, kids absolutely love the "real" motorcycle look, stable, durable.

Cons: Misaligned head set bracket (combined with my assembly error) eventually resulted in head set bushing failure.

I bought this trike for a friend who works at a preschool. If the children at this school can't destroy something, it can't be destroyed. They did succeed, after the most intense year of use you can imagine, to break the head set bushings. I called customer service (mentioned in another review) to see if I could buy new head set bushings. Customer service didn't hesitate. They took my name and address, then sent me the new parts at no charge. The guy at customer service suggested that I might have over tightened the head set bolt. He may have been right as I'll explain below. I had the new parts within a few days.

The broken headset bushings were not entirely at fault. The lower head set bracket on the forks was slightly misaligned. The first time I assembled the trike I attempted to align the bracket by over tightening the head set bolt. The plastic head set bushings eventually failed from the trike being hammered into every object (moveable or immoveable) on the playground, and the excess pressure on the plastic bushings. When I received the new bushings, I took the time to bend and realign the lower head set bracket. This time I only tightened the head set bolt to where is was just snug. So, with a minimum of effort, excellent customer service from the distributor, and some free replacement parts, the Kawasaki Trike is back in service joyfully taking a beating again.

The heavy use has also resulted in the grab handle at the back of the seat being broken (I forgot to ask for a new one when I called for the heat set bushings) and some of the paint has worn off where a second child would ride standing on the back axle housing. The little "shock absorber" also came apart, but I was able to screw it back together, this time with Locktite. Taking into account the kind of use this toy has endured, I'd say the wear and tear are about what I'd expect. Overall, it has held up well, and I like the fact that when things to break, it can be repaired with a minimum of fuss. Recommended.

Mannnnn what an awesome product. My baby, who is 19 months, is already pedaling it. We received it Christmas Eve, assembled it and had it out in the open for him to see in front of the tree. As soon as he came down the stairs the morning of the big day, he made a beeline for the trike and the rest is history. Our son is much taller than the average toddler will be able to use this for at least a couple of years so keep that in mind when ordering. The coolest features of this trike is that your child can coast with their feet on the pedals and he/she is not forced to continuously pedal. It also has big thick fattttt tires so it can be ridden on some not so smooth surfaces so its perfect for boys and some not so prissy girls. It is by far the coolest trike I've ever seen. This has become a favorite for my 3 month old! I have attached it to her car seat and her play mat on the floor. She loves the lights that flash on the star part and the rope knots on the bottom round face-looking thing. On the back of the face-looking thing is a bold black & white bulls eye. There is a clear plastic window in the center so she can watch the toy retract inside. The tune is rock-a-bye-baby, and it plays for about a minute and a half (a friend pointed out that it seems like a long time!) All in all, a great toy for teething/chewing on, playing with, looking at and listening to!

I bought this for my son's exercise mat. He likes it, but I wish it weren't so long. It's close to touching the floor. Not really sure what you could hang this from that it wouldn't be too long for. But my son likes it, and the music is good.

I got this to hang on my infant car seat. Little one LOVED the twinkling lights and it would distract him when he was cranky in the car. He then grew out of the infant seat and I was ready to donate it. Then I decided to tie it to the crib. I purchased this for my 19 month old. You really need to hit the balls hard to get them in, and then you physically have to swing open the trunk to release them. From the pictures, I thought when the balls dropped in, they would roll down and swing open the trunk showing "cause and effect". I think by the time she can hit them hard enough to get them to drop, this toy will not hold her attention, if the balls rolled out, it might. Good construction, cute. Wish I loved it

My 9 month old son loves our "grown-up" flashlight, so we decided to get him one of his own. We have several Fisher-Price toys that he adores, and after reading about this toy, we thought this would be good for him. However, he's not very interested in playing with it. If I hold it and play the songs for him, he will enjoy that for a few minutes, but that's about it. I think it's very hard for little hands to use, and I was disappointed that you can't turn the light on and have it stay on. The basics of the flashlight part is that it flashes on and off with a soft glow, and at random points it will stay on for an extra few moments before going off. I was really hoping this would be more like a flashlight and stay on while it played music. I think that would be more fun for him, to crawl around with a light. The back button is big, and I think in theory would be easy for a baby to push for music, but it's not. Because it's on the back, it's hard for him to hold and push at the same time. Maybe he will enjoy it more when he is older, but I doubt it. On the plus side though, this toy is billingual. It counts in english and spanish, and also a couple of phrases in spanish.

My great grandson is still learning, and seemed to enjoy shaking it, and laughing. Hasn't figured out how to turn it on and off yet.

I just purchased this for my 10 month old and he loves it. I agree with other parents that the light is not very bright but it's bright enough for him to still enjoy. The toy appears to be durable as he is at the stage where he is dropping and throwing everything he could.

Also, I was surprised to learn that this is somewhat of a bilingual toy. My son was playing the button for the music and there is ONE song where the counting is done in English and Spanish! We are a bilingual family so this was a nice surprise.

Tolo Toys Rolling Ball Shape Sorter

My daughter played wih this at a Gymboree type of play group. When she was 9 months old, she was interested but didn't have the coordination to put all the pieces in the ball. Still, the size of each piece was perfect for her little hands. She absolutely loved holding the pieces and trying to get them inside. I think that's why she continued to practice and play with the toy rather then getting frustrated with it.

By the time she was 13 months or so, she was easily able to fit the pieces in the various holes. What's nice about this toy is each hole is colored to match with the piece that goes in it, so the round hole is blue as is the circle, the square hole is geen as is the square, etc. This obviously also helps with color recognition.

The only thing my daughter found difficult with this toy, in the beginning, is the fact that the sorter itself is round instead of flat. Since it's a ball, it's harder for the baby to find the hole they're looking for. To encourage her, I would simply turn the ball for her so she would see the hole, then leave it up to her to put the shape in. As she gets older, she can then find the hole by herself. It's a wonderful toy that a baby will be able to use for quite awhile as their skill level grows.

We bought this in preference to the Tupperware ball that while definitely a fond memory of mine and my wife's has become incredibly expensive! When the ball arrived it looked great (although the lack of a square is a little puzzling as a fundamental shape) and our little guy loved it. The problem arrived when trying to insert the circle/round piece. One way around it fit just fine; the other, no dice. Taking a closer look we found rough edges on the inside that were snagging against the poorly fitted shape. The seams were raised on one side just enough to prevent it dropping in. This is not the kind of negative reinforcement we wanted in this toy as at 15 months old our son's not getting the "yes that's the right shape, in the right hole but you need to flip it over, jiggle it and then pound it in" message. Such a slacker ;)

Overall, it would have been a great product if the quality control on the line that produced it was up to standard.

My 22-month-old twins love this sorter. I had it out for them as infants and they would enjoy holding the shapes and hearing them rattle. At around 18 months they started to put the shapes in with help. Now they can (and want to) put the shapes in over and over again. I use the toy for matching skills, learning colors and shapes. ROLLING BALL SHAPE SORTER

This is a colorful, well made toy that worked well with my 14 month old grandson. He did not have the sophistication to match the shapes to the holes (just yet!) but he definitely liked the size of the ball and its enclosed objects. This is a better made product than similar toys we had for his mother.

I was very pleased with the quality of this sorter. I did not find any rough edges as another reviewer mentioned. It is very durable, made of a very thick plastic, and very inviting. Not only is it a shape sorter but it is also great for color recognition, making it a bit easier for young toddlers to find where each shape fits. My problem is that it can be a challenge for toddlers to use this independently because of the coordination they need to put the ball back together. You have to match the two halves together and twist it to lock it in place. I got this sorter for my toddler classroom and most of them cannot do this. I was hoping for a sorter that they could use independently and have success without the help of an adult.

My daughter is nine months old so still a bit young for actually using these blocks for stacking or building but she still loves playing with them! She is teething so like chewing on the these semi-soft blocks. We also purchased the Zoo version of this brand and those animals are a big hit as well!

Saw this toy in a specialty gift shop and wanted to buy it for my grandson. Found it online at amazon for a lot less and ordered it and had it within a couple of days. Am saving it to give him for his birthday and can't wait to see him play with it.

The cost savings were great and it is a fun and educational toy.

These are great! My girls love them!

The first set, one with animals, I purchased for my daughter when she turned one. She is now three, and still plays with them. She has a 9-month-old sister who likes playing with them also, so I decided to get more.

I haven't had any incidents with them choking on the wheels or hats, but had that concern when I decided to buy these. For that reason, I do keep a closer eye on them when they play with these.

Other reviewers have mentioned a rubber smell…. However, the one's I've purchased all smell like vanilla. I've always had a very strong sense of smell, so I'm usually pretty meticulous about the things I buy.

I would definitely recommend these, and will probably purchase more myself.

My husband dug it out with his finger. My son then vomited. Both were shaken up pretty badly. I am returning this item. It should be rated for older children or should be made so the wheels cannot come off, or with larger wheels. The little caps for the people aren't much bigger.

Everyone said this costume was too big but I didn't believe it. I bought the smallest one available for my son who is 4 and half. He is average size and has a spiderman costume from Costco and Target and it fits perfectly. This one is waaaaay too big. It is sloppy actually. I would suggest if your son is 6 or 7 consider the small unless he is BIG. The picture might show a small. My son nevertheless loves the costume so that is the upside!

My 2-year-old daughter wanted Elmo Live for Christmas, but I wasn't about to drop that kind of cash for a toy. I got this Elmo instead, and she was thrilled! He is soft and cuddly, unlike some of the other Elmo's I've seen, and the perfect size for a toddler to hold. He has several responses to his hand being pushed, so what he says is always a surprise, and very positive and loving. She really loves his kiss hand response. Nearly two months later, he is still a favorite toy. And, of course, it is great he can be turned off for bedtime! An awesome toy for any Elmo fan.

My son is torn between Cookie Monster and Elmo. He loves both of them. He received this Many Kisses Elmo as an early Christmas present from a family member and he loves it. He's only eighteen months old, but he's learning how to "give sugars" and "blow kisses," making this the perfect toy to tote around.

Floating Rubber Duck Family 4 Piece Bath Set

I got this product to float in a koi pond that my cats insist on playing in. I figured floating these duckies in the pond would give my cats something to 'swat' at without focusing on our fish. The momma duck floats upright well; however the baby ducks float upside down better than they do right-side up. I would think those designing 'rubber duckies' could at least manage to create a product that floats upright. Anyway my husband and I spend our time uprighting the small duckies. Our cats think it is fun to send them floating upside down again. Our duckies haven't filled with water as some complained because we haven't squeezed them. There were some who said that there is no way to get all the water out of them once they have water inside. Perhaps ours would float upright if we had a little water in them for weight...don't know.

This is my first review. My daughter got these for Christmas and she is now 4.5 months old. She still can't lift them comfortably as a group. I think they are too heavy and clumsy for the age group they are listed for. 6+months might have been better. She's hit her self in the face trying to lift them and, trust me, that is not a pretty sight. I agree that the white ring they are on does not stay shut and they fall off all the time as well.

My little boy recieved this toy at 5 mo of age and now at 8 still loves it. It is separated but everytime he sees a piece of this he lights up and can't wait to rattle, shake, press and roll the keys. Highly recommended!

We received this as a gift right after our daughter was born. The blue music key made changing time a bit easier in the early weeks when she hated being stripted down. The sounds got her attention for a moment. We learned that the 'wheels on the bus' tune was the best. Now at nearly 5 mo, we still play the key everychanging time. And sing wheels on the bus a thousand times a day, while changing her or anytime she becomes upset, restless or bored! We play games with the music key, place it near her feet or hand, show her once where it is, by touching her limb to it to make the sound. She will begin kicking or hitting it to make it go off... she has been doing this for several months already.

The ring the keys are on is too flimsy. We use with out it. She has just begun being able to grasp any of the keys because of the bulky size, but really enjoys trying. I think FP should redesign it, if you tried attaching it to anything, like the diaper bag, it would fall off and get lost.

Our blue key stays on the changing table. We would be lost with out it.

My 5 year old daughter said she wants to be a "scary" witch for halloween. I was looking for something that she thought was a real witch but looks good as well. This is better than I expected. The top part is a strechy velvet and a decent quality for a costume. My daughter is 5 years 1 month and about 44" tall. This fits perfectly and is very flattering. Haba Clutching Toy Perlina

Haba's Clutching Toy Perlina is the perfect size for tiny hands. It is smaller than many of the clutching toys on the market; the loops on each side of the toy make it easier for little ones to grasp. Further, the colorful beads attract an infant's attention and the various surfaces and shapes provide tactile interest.

The Perlina seems to be very well made; I was unable to stretch or pull the loops on my grandson's toy. The non-toxic dye is fairly colorfast; however, it will become more matte-finished when your little one begins to use this as a teething aid. My grandson loves to gnaw on the blue, flat portion, especially the edges when his gums are sore from teething. The bell does not make a significant amount of noise and appears to be securely fastened in the center of the toy.

Personally, I would use this toy with only one child and would not hand it down to anyone else or donate it to a non-profit. Although the beaded ends and the bell all seem to be securely fastened and unlikely to break loose, I would not take the chance on having the cord on which the beads are strung deteriorate due to storage conditions or break because of use. The parts on this toy are small enough to become choking hazards. It is because of this concern that I rated the Clutching Toy Perlina as a four-star toy and not a five-star toy.

Glad I got this before it could be discontinued. It is very cute. The wooden beads & bell are held on by elastic cords & it seems very durable. I have pulled & pulled & nothing snapped, although at first I was a little leery: If the elastic cord broke there would be around 10 tiny choking hazards all over the place. It's a great toy & my nephew loved it. Havn't had a chance to try it out on our little one yet.

Note that the only other two reviews, both giving it five stars, are from people who do not yet have their babies "here" yet. In other words, they've never used it.

Nothing against those people, but the fatal flaw in this product is that once you actually put your baby into the car seat you realize that the dangling objects dangle less than an inch from their face! This is not a toy for them to watch and be entertained, it's to make sure they can see nothing at all. Think of it more as a blindfold than a toy.

Upside is that both previous reviewers are right in that the soft toys and soft wrap around "bar" would be best in an impact and the design is super cute, but again all of this is worth nothing because you'll never use this product because your kid will hate it. And can you blame 'em? Put the palm of your hand an inch from your face. That's what this is like.

I received something similar as a baby shower gift, but I wanted this color scheme, as it is more girly.

It is a lot bigger than what I was expecting but I have not complaints! I love the unique design of this car seat toy. Also they state that car seat toys are not safe if they were to be in a collision since the hard toys can hit the baby, but this car seat toy is perfectly safe since it is a soft pillowy fabric! Our daughter is not here yet but I already put this on her car seat and can't wait to see how she will use it!

Little Tikes Adjust N Draw Table

I bought this table because it seemed reasonalby priced for my needs. I have a 2 and a 4 year old who use it. The problem is that keep falling off it. The benches seem too small and too close tothe table so when they are getting on and off the seat they fall backwards. So not too safe for them to use .

I was searching high and low for a craft/eating/play table for my 17 month old boy. Found this and was very excited. Got it out of the box and realized that bench had to be screwed on. Doesn't give you much space to screw in either! Once hubby and I put it together it looked so much smaller than expected. My son was literally falling off the seat. Very uncomfortable looking too! It wasn't sturdy either. He would move his feet and the whole table went backwards. Ages 1/2 years to 5 years old? How in the world can a five year fit on this? Not impressed with this Little Tikes piece.

I bought this for my 20 month old daughter and she loves it! I put hers in the living room so she can have her snacks and watch tv.

It is not hard to put together but it does take screws to go into the plastic. She has sat on top of the table and my son who is 10 sat on top and it held his weight. I wouldn't recommend that all the time though.

So far it is used as a craft/eating table. When she is older I will convert to the drawing side.

I recommend this to all parents with toddlers! :)

This is easy to put together. It took me about 15 min. Pretty good size for my 16 mo old dtr. She eats, drinks, has a tea party w/stuffed animals and draws at this table. I'm not sure how durable this is though. It's so light that she can drag it around the room, but if it was heavy duty, I guess I can't get it for this price. As my dtr is very tiny, I'm guessing she can use it for the next 2 yrs or so. The reason I didn't give 5 star rating is that from the very first piece that I pulled out of the box, everything was dirty. I was able to just wipe them w/office whips relatively easy, but it was anoying as you got excited opening the box. A kid can fall back as there's no back to the chairs, but as any other toys for little toddlers, you have to be there and watch the child closely. My dtr fell once, but she got up right away and sat on the chair like nothing happened. So far, my dtr loves it and I am happy with it. I've had it for almost 2 wks now.

I bought this for my daughter to use with her water table and it has been great. We talk about colors, sizes, numbers and the amount of water you can add in each cup. I would recommend this product even for a sand box or just to use as an alternative to standard blocks.

With an overload of toddler toys passed down from our first grandson for our second to play with, we decided to add to our bath toy collection for #2's first birthday. Both of our little guys LOVE taking their baths, and this little toy was a great addition to the gift box... very colorful, and each little tulip shaped cup has different configurations of holes in the bottom which makes the water sprinkle out in different ways. We also play with them on the floor, since you can stack them on top of each other to make a tower (one of his favorite things at this stage is knocking over any kind of tower Grandma, Grandpa or Big Brother builds for him!), and each one fits inside another for compact storage. This helped calm the fears a baby sometimes has when he graduates in our case, from the cozy security of the kitchen sink! to what must feel like an ocean to him in an adult bathtub. This was a great purchase.

They have helped her identify colors, and she has learned to stack them according to size. The simplicity of this product is refreshing and worth purchasing for your little one.

Enjoys playing with these cups. Hard to see the animals and letters so mainly used for play while in the tub.

My 18 month old grandson loves this simple toy. Great for fine motor skills in the stacking and he really enjoys watching the water stream out the bottom. It beats those wind up toys that sink the moment you put them in the tub. Highly recommend
