I bought the white bunny wristlet rattle for my 3 month old. I had one of these type rattles with one of my other children and it seems they are hard to find. I love the way it looks and the little pink cheeks the bunny has. I have not had any problems with the fur coming off as another review has stated. The only reason I gave this little guy a 4 instead of a 5 is because it was a little big for her wrist right now but I improvise and put it on her ankle and she loves it just as much. I have several bunny by the bay products and they are all amazing. My little girl loves them already and she still an infant! If youre looking for a cute gift to add to a babyshower gift this is a good and great priced rattle!

Piro Rattle

Piro is great. A very sturdy toy, and a very cute clown. I'm reassured that it passed German quality control as being nontoxic, because my daughter has diligently chewed on it, and undoubtedly consumed some of the paint.

Have you noticed the recent press about lead in the vinyl that the US testing agents feel is "safe" for our kids? Really? Lead is safe? Oh well, that is why I avoid Chinese and American toys now. European standards are much more strict.

I discovered Haba toys while shopping in our local Natural Grocery store and decided to search online since the selection there was limited.

When I first saw this toy, I thought there may be a potential for pinching to occur as the baby played, but eventually decided to trust that the toy maker knew what they were doing and bought it from one of Amazon's sellers. I have tried to pinch myself with this toy (I know, may seem silly) before giving it to my son and it is almost impossible. What little pinching that may happen is not painful in the slightest. This is due to the toy's construction: it is made from individual beads strung on a cord or rope of some kindingenious!

My son is four and a half months old, and while the toy may be a little difficult for him to grab as of yet(good, IMHO because he gets more practice!), he absolutely loves the bright colors and most of all, the face on the clown. The clicking noise the toy makes as it moves back and forth is also very interesting to my baby and sometimes I even find it soothing to click during "quiet time". I am extremely happy with this toy and feel at ease knowing there is NO plastic on it and the paints are all water based and non toxic. Even though the toy is made from hardwood, he really loves to chew on it (Who needs those soft rubbery teethers??!)

Some may think the price is a bit high, but I do not agree. If you look at comparable toys in your local big-box store, the price difference really isn't that much and you are getting a lot higher quality. This is truly an heirloom toy and worth it.

We were frightened and educated by the recent toy issues. We discovered these toys made by Haba and feel in love with them. We ordered sight unseen 4 different baby toys from Haba and this little guy was the first my 7 month old reached for. He is so darn cuteyou just can't find toys like this at the big baby chain stores.

When he bends the wood makes a soft satisfying clanky sound from the wood. He holds his shape with the tension on 2 bungee style cords you don't see so he can stand up straight on his own. He is also top heavy so when you bend him he will fall over. By watching my daughter I've come to the conclusion he is very nice to munch on, insert here contented coos as he is nibbled on. Happily, he is bigger than I thought he'd be and the perfect handful for baby.

These Haba products are what I would imagine the old fashioned Santa and his elves would have given away. They are extremely well crafted and the simple details have made them instantly cherished by our family.

Ok. At first I regretted how much money I had spent on this toy. I mean it is a teether and it is small. The reason I bought it is because my 6 month old grabbed it and would not let it go. This toy is an award winner. It is also beautiful. I could see it on my son's shelf as he grows older. None of those plastic toys will be as attractive as this one is. Wooden toys are great teethers and this toy is worth the money. My baby like it a lot.

I purchased several Haba toys for my first grandson when he was about 3 months old, after reading the great reviews they received. He's now 11 months old, and still likes to play with this toy it keeps him busy while he's being changed, and is just the right size for his little hands. Taf Toys Infant Car Seat Style Toy

Like another review I have found that the mirror is not in a place that would allow the child to see herself. However that is alright since there are other components to entertain the child. The toys dangle and seem to dance and jingle while the car is moving. This movement always prompts my daughter to "talk" to the characters and keeps her happy for much longer than she would otherwise be. The only complaint I have about this toy is that you need a headrest in order to attach it. But my daughter has loved this toy since she was a month old and still does at four months old.

I bought this a year ago after an unsuccessful attempt with a similar item by Sassy. This is much better! It holds the toys out so that the baby can see and reach them. They dance as the car moves and are very entertaining. Today my 13 month old was actually able to squeeze the sun hard enough to make it play its music for the first time. He was so excited. The velcro is strong enough to withstand tugging from a child but the toys can be taken off to be used separately (in a stroller or a restaurant). As mentioned before, you do need a headrest to attach the toy. All in all I would call this a very good buy.

My daughter is little over three years old and I had bought this software about a year ago directly from the founder of Giggles, since he lives in the Rochester, NY area. At first I was worried that the software is for babies and my toddler may not be interested. Not so! She loves the program even more now. Her knowledge of shapes and use of computers impresses even her teachers at the day-care.

I know for a fact that much research and hard-work had gone into the development of this software and it shows mightily; especially when compared to other products of similar genre.

I purchased both Giggles Shapes and Giggles Animals for my 5 month old boy after I noticed I could not get on my home computer or my laptop with him wanting to hit the keys.

This program is very entertaining and teaches babies cause and effect, and has a good music selection that my baby likes.

This program is lots of fun for a baby. It runs a little slowly on our 700 MHz G4 eMac, but our baby loves it. The only critique, though, is that it won't run on a limited account in OS X. The companion game, 123 & ABCs will let me set up the baby's account to allow me to add it to her account's limits list, but the Animal Friends does not. As a result, either I cannot run it on her account, or I have to allow administrator privileges to her account. I cannot do that since her sister also uses the computer.

Tolo Toys Shape Sorter Play Bench

This is one of my son's favorite toys. He loves hammering on it and is very interested in the concept of getting the shapes into the correct hole.

The string attaching the hammer is so short that it makes the hammer very hard to use, even for daddy. If the string were longer it would probably be a strangulation hazard, but there is no good reason for the hammer to be tied on. (If you're worried about keeping all the parts together there are already 6 shape pieces that could come out and get lost under the furniture.) I cut the string off at both ends to make the toy usable.

We got this for our son's first Christmas when he was 10 months old. At first he just like the shapes when they were out of the table... they rattle. It wasn't until about 14 months old that he started to understand the concept of hitting them through the table with the hammer. Now at 17 months old it is one of his favorites. The string on the hammer could be just a little longer... it has to be lined up just perfect in order to have enough room to hit the shapes. Also the sides could be a little taller so that the shape actually fell through the other side when it is sitting on the floor. Normally my son wants me to hold it while he hits so he can push the shapes all the way through. Overall we really like this toy and I'm always excited to find a basic non-battery skill teaching toy. We recite the colors while playing with this and some of the shapes... although some are hard to really name. Oh and my son thinks any toy you can hit is great... definate bonus.

This toy was given to our little one when he was two and he just loves it. It gives him an outlet to bang on something without destroying it and it really keeps him occupied for a little while. He loves the fact that it looks like a tool bench and that he has his own hammer. That hammer has whacked quite a few thngs around the house, including the cat, and it doesn't hurt anything like the drywall, baseboards, etc. Really a nice toy and one that won't destroy other things in the house. It's easier to use than the wooden ones plus you don't have to worry about splinters. Some of the nuts are harder to get through than the others, but it really makes a nice challenge for him.

This is an excellent and VERY STURDY toy for your child. Highly recommended for age 1.5 2.0 or thereabouts. My twin girls are a little late in developing fine motor skills, and these big sturdy pieces (with interesting rattles inside) have been great for playing while working on some important coordination and manipulation activities.

I didn't mind the short tether on the hammer it helps keep them from using the hammer on stuff they shouldn't. :)

Taggies Soft Baby Doll By Mary Meyer

I bought this toy for my 7 mo old granddaughter. She loves it. But the material on the arm at the wrist started raveling/running. It is so new it doesn't even have a stain on it. I gave it to her for Easter this year. I tried to mend the 1/4" hole and noticed that the material is coming apart all around the arm. This is why I gave it two stars. It is very cute and a great toy for a little one where you have to be careful of parts coming off. After mending it I gave it back to her and her eyes lit up and she grinned real big and grabbed it. So you can see it was a hit. But I am upset at it just coming apart.

My grandaugther (11 months) loves to grab and chew on things. The makers of Taggies know their customers! This was the perfect gift. I read the reviews on this site and agree. My grandaughter takes this doll to bed with her every night. What more could you ask from a gift?

Sassy Go-Go Guitars Musical Toy, Colors May Vary

First, I will say that I do like these plush guitar toys/rattles. The easily strap on to a car seat or bouncer and the sounds they make aren't too annoying (which is a plus for parents). We have the Sassy Go-Go Bugs which I like, so when I saw these funky guitars I thought I'd get them. When they arrived I was slightly surprised and a bit disappointed as they only come with 2 rattles! This was hard to tell from the picture and you don't get to pick the colors of the guitars. Admittedly, this is my own fault since it does say that it only comes with 2, but like other items I have purchased it could have said "colors may vary" so you know what to expect. Overall, these guitars are cute, fun, and the bold, contrasting colors are engaging.

Be aware when you're purchasing this product that you are only going to get two of the four guitars depicted. I was unaware of this (I should have scrolled down and read the Product Details and Product Description more thoroughly). Since I wasn't even given the option to choose which two guitars I wanted, I didn't know until my shipment arrived. I'm fine with the product and the pricing, but it needs to be clearer that you only receive half of what the product claims to be at least in the image.

Unfortunately, these were not what I thought they were. I was searching for an item like the Sassy Go-Go Bugs but with the chime sound. These guitars have the rattle sound which is not what I was looking for. The description says '...with each guitar having a distinct rattle or chime sound' which I mistakenly assumed to mean at least one of the two would have a chime sound but the two I received did not. Despite that, I am keeping them as they are a good quality item, longer length than the Go-Go Bugs which is nice so my 3 month old can reach them better when hanging from the toy bar. I love that they have the velcro strap so much easier to use than the plastic rings to clip onto car seats, toy bars, etc. The velcro straps also don't slide around as much as the plastic rings do.

Lamaze Spin and Explore The Sea

My daughter has a tracheostomy and is on a ventilator. I had heard about this product on as a good way to get your child to tolerate tummy time. It is fabulous! My daughter hates tummy time because she has to lie on top of the tubes and it's uncomfortable. This allows her to be up off the ground and the tubes can kind of hang to the side. It's also very good for getting her to use her arms. She loves the crinkly pieces and will tolerate tummy time much longer this way. If you have a special needs child who needs assistance with development, I would highly recommend this.

My DD (5 months) just got this for Christmas and she loves it (she got the Garden version not the Sea version) . . . . She is able to spin herself around and check out the various things (mirrors, crinkle fabric, etc) Yes it is a plastic "belly board" for them to lie onmy DD hasn't really objected to it being uncomfortable and if/ when she does it's easy enough to fold up a blanket on the surf board. She tends to play with it for a while and then get tired of tummy time for a while, but then she'll play with it again when she's in a better mood, she seems to prefer this to a normal tummy time mat since it gets her belly out of the way and she can see the fun toys better, and it seems to develop neck strength, but also arm & leg strength as they turn themselves from place to place.

My 3 month old is not a fan of tummy time but since I have been using the Lamaze Spin and Explore The Sea, tummy time has been more enjoyable for both of us. He loves tthe bright colors, and he spins himself around to see all the different fish.. He likes the flaps because they make sounds when he grabs them, and he gets so excited when he finds there are more fish under them. After using it a couple of times for a couple of weeks, I tried tummy time without it, and my baby seemed to enjoy tummy time more. Okay, this product stinks. The concept is great, but the product isn't. The spinning thing is quite hard and not comfortable to lay on for long periods. My 4-month old is much happier laying in the same position on something that's much softer, like a boppy pillow (which we don't have, but he likes the one at his daycare). We have 3 tummy time mats, and this one is by far the worst quality. It constantly bunches up and is pilling even though it's barely been used. The bunching up issue is even worse since the mat/spinner set are designed so a baby would really be grabbing onto the mat while spinning so you'd think the mat would be a little sturdier to grab onto, but the way it is, it's really hard for the baby to grab and spin.

I had hopes for this toy because my 3 month old HATES tummy time. But it was pretty much a waste of money the surf board is pretty hard and seems uncomfortable and the mat is very small. I had a monkey-themed shower and was happy to find these monkey-themed thank you notes. The product description didn't say how many notes came in the pack; there were only eight and I thought the price was a little steep for eight cards. Also, as I am writing out my thank you notes in the cards, I find that the glossy paper makes it difficult to write and the pen & ink get fussy and stop working. Given these two issues, I won't be buying more of these.

These are very cute, not very much room to write on and a little glossy. Worked ok with a fine point pen.

Spin Ball by Tiny Love

My daughter has had this toy since she was three months old and at six months still loves it. It's easy to clutch and the nubbly outside make it fun to mouth. The picture doesn't do it justice. The colored ball pieces move so that there is always a small part open which reveals a littly guy inside who has a smiley face and rotates. The inside of each part of the ball has a mirror finish which makes it visually quite interesting. When the outide pieces move they make a nice clacking sound and there is a rattle in the guy inside. Stimulates senses of touch, hearing and vision as well as curiousity and problem solving.

I bought my son a light-up phone that makes hundreds of noises and this yesterday. He has hardly touched the phone and can't put this "low-fi" toy down. The "slices" have mirror on the inside, it makes a great clicky noise and a rattle in the middle. He can also grip the slices easily.

So many toys for babies are overstimulating lights, loud noises, battery draining monstrosities. This ball is excellent. It has enough going on to keep our 11 month olds interest moving parts, clacking of pieces, rattling, smiley faces, relections.. but no loud blaring noise, no seizure inducing lights.. nothing to drive Mom and Dad batty. I'm actually ordering a second one for my Brothers 3 month old. Definitely a great toy. It's about the size of a softball, big enough not to loose it, but small enough to be a toy you could throw in your diaper bag. Defintely would reccommend this as a simple, low maintence toy for a baby that's just exploring the world around them.

This toy showed up in the mail yesterday. My 7 month old son just loves it. It is a wonderful toy, with so many features to interest a baby. I found the description difficult to understand, so let me do my best to explain how it works. The crescent sections can freely rotate about the central post, and the inside of each section is a mirror. The sections tend to stack up against one another, leaving one open space (the width of several sections). Then the fun part is sliding the sections across the open space to the other side and hearing the loud "clack" as a section hits the other side of the stack..

Reasons why this toy is good:

It's the right size for a baby to hold and/or bat at on the floor

K's Kids Jumbo Go Go Go Toy

I didn't listen to all the reviews I read regarding this toy. I just had to buy it and now I am living with the remorse and disappointment. My child is bored to death and it's unstable. First the 'see me' mirror is that plastic stuff that distorts so you really can't 'see' anything but a blur. Second the 'key' can be turned by a baby but it won't get the sounds and lights to work, as it requires nearly sub-human strength by an adult, not to mention coordination. Third if your baby likes to 'move and groove' there's no back support so they can flip right out the back. It's cute, but a complete waste of money.

My infant likes to have this soft place to sit, and watch...and I don't worry about him tipping OVER. The Toddler sits in it whenever he isn't in there....and sometimes even tries to while he is. She plays with the car ignition, and dances to the songs, and honks the horn...which are not very loud or annoying. Just musical.

I read all the reviews and was on the fence about ordering based on the last negative review. But I really wanted this car and I am really glad I ordered it...I LOVE IT! My 7 month old grandson loves it. The key is a simple turn and it makes the car starting up noise and music plays. The horn is an easy tap--no superhuman strength needed here. If someone had problems with it, it was a malfunction and should have exchanged the item. This company has excellent customer service. I received the car within 3 days of ordering it. If your baby can't sit upright on the floor, then you should wait before putting them in this car. It is not made to support them from falling. While the car is a little on the expensive side, it is absolutely durable, colorful, and a big soft pillow for the baby to climb in and out of without harsh edges or toppling over like his other plastic toys. This was one of our 4 month daughter's favorite Christmas presents. She loves to sit in it and look around at us. Her Dad also shakes the car and makes Vroom noises, which she thinks is hysterical. She is able to make the horn blow by herself, but she needs help to turn the key in the ignition. Once we do though, she smiles at the lights and the music. Great for a baby who loves sitting up (like ours).

I just bought this to take over for our soon-to-be adopted infant. I was very happy with the small size and weight (perfect for an infant to hold). But most of all, the sound quality is fantastic (and not too loud) and not electronic sounding at all. And the tunes are all pleasing to the ear and not annoying kid versions. I will like listening to it as much as our son!

I love this toy and will give it to every new parent that I know! This is the only toy with sound that we own that does not have clear packing tape on the speaker! (Every other toy gets the "tape treatment" once it enters the house!) Music quality is great and the songs play for longer than most toys, so you don't have to reach over and hit the button as often!

My Daughter picked this toy out @ Wal-Mart, among a few other toys herself!! When I originally bought it, she was only 3 months old!!!!

We moved the end of October and lost it in the move. I ordered it online and when it arrived, her eyes lit up and she fell in love with it all over again!!! It calms her down peacefully. I strongly recomend this for every parent out there.

I have a 10 month old daughter, and she has fallen in love with this toy. I bought this because of its portability and size, but the small package has delivered so much more.

The sound from the single speaker on the back of the 'Takealong Tunes' is extremely solid for such a small speaker, not tinny or hollow what so ever. The lights move in time to the music, and the whole thing is light enough for her to easily carry in one hand while she crawls around the house.

The large button-like wheel on the front is extremely easy for her to push, with just enough resistance that it isn't going off incessantly, and the colorful caterpillar handle is a natural draw to her mouth. The only minor complaint I would have is that I wish the handle were rubberized instead of hard plastic since it is in her mouth so often.

I thought I was buying a good sound & lights toy for the portability since it is not always easy to drag larger flashing, blinking, booping toys around with us, but I feel like I've gotten so much more out of this potent little package.

It sooths her when she's tired, entertains her when she's awake, and has become her best friend over the past month or so.

I would highly recommend this to any parent, another winner from Baby Einstein!

At first sight, you will be very happy with this toy. However, after I've owned this toy (for my infant son), it's somewhat a hassle at times.

Pros:

-Lights go off that are extremely appealing to a baby

-Music is also quite appealing to a baby, and has 2 different volume settings as well as an off feature

-Easy to grab and go when you're on the move

Cons:

-The buttons you press to activate the music & lights are WAY too hard for ANY infant you have to do this yourself for your baby

-Hard plastic so you have to watch your baby to make sure they don't slam this into their heads and get hurt

-The hard plastic is at times too hard for your baby to chew on for teething relief

-Batteries seem to die down a little quicker than desired

-After only 4 months, the 4 colored areas you press to activate the music/lights are starting to fade, so now white areas are starting to show through

Overall, I would suggest this, but only after you read the pros & the cons. My son got this at aged 4 months, and at now 7 months

he still loves it, but there again, to turn this on in any way, I have to do it myself. When you press the button to turn on the music/lights,

the songs only play for about 15-20 seconds so this is not a toy to give your infant if you're attempting to work & focus on anything.

When I was majoring in education, I bought a bunch of books for my classroom. I bought this book because I thought it would be a creative way to teach SHAPES.

Each page has a little 4 line rhyme that really got my attention. It was kind od sing-songy and describes the shape.

The pictures are very bright and colorful. The pictures are also of the shape the poem was about.

The best way to encourage a child to read is to have books in the home.

Julie Aigner-Clark is a genius! Her inventive products, exceptionally creative, are designed to entertain children while they learn. "See and Spy Shapes," is no exception. The cleverly written text is metrical in style, and teaches shapes and counting in an imaginative way through "seeing and spying", the object by means of example. For instance, the reader sees a rabbit sitting in a garden with various items scattered about, and the poem on the left side of the book reads, "A CIRCLE is a crazy thing it has no sides, just one round ring. You'll see a CIRCLE on my nose now find five more beneath my toes." The FIVE circles beneath the rabbit's toes are: a radish, a head of lettuce, an onion, a bug, and a watermelon.

Each page of this little board book features a different poem, animal, and shape. Additional shapes include: triangle, square, oval, rectangle, star, and diamond. The illustrations are brightly colored, and are highly contrasted to the background, creating emphasis to stimulate babies interest, while providing lessons on shapes, numbers and counting, colors, animals and other everyday objects for preschoolers. This is an outstanding book! Birth and up.

My daughter is in love with this book and she is only 8 months old! The poetry is wonderful and this book also incorporates counting and colors with the shapes ("find 5 more shapes like mine" etc). The illustrations are great and keep her attention. All of the Baby Einstein series are wonderful!

Even when my baby was under one month old, he would stare at the colorful pictures on the pages-he would stare at the left page and then the right. I knew the book was stimulating his growing brain and I was giddy with excitement!! Now that my baby is 8 months old and he likes to hold the book himself, I appreciate the rounded corners and thick cardboard pages (so baby won't get paper cuts). My baby likes to gnaw on the book so I guess it's also a great teething toy!

The colors, style, and theme of this book are excellent. It is one of the few I found that is simple enough for toddlers just beginning to identify shapes. However, I found it to have a huge flaw. The shapes inside the book are "puzzle pieces". For example, there is a picture of a baseball, and underneath the baseball is the word circle. Except instead of lifting a flap, each of the cardboard shapes actually comes out of the book. They don't reinsert easily. I can just imagine after one or two readings that the pieces would be everywhere but in the book.

I bought this money bank as a birthday present for my daughter. It is the perfect size for a toddler, and it is just adorable. The painting/design is beautifully done. I would recommend this for any little girl.

They tell you the size of this thing before you order it, but it really is SMALL. I got this for a friend's son's first birthday. I think it works well for something like that. Too small for big kids though.

Petite Panda Infant / Toddler Costume

This costume is cute and my daughter looked adorable but there were two problems the first is that the costume is like a big lint roller, EVERYTHING stuck to it and our dog has white hair so this did not look very nice. I tried to use a lint roller to clean it off and it wouldn't work, because the hair just kept sticking to it so I actually had to pull of all the hair piece by piece before we went out.

Other problem is when I washed it, it got all these fuzzy things all over it and the material almost seemed to change after being washed... I washed ir once and it looks like it has been worn and washed a million times, I hate stuff that does that. good thing we only needed it for one night.

The costume is cute, but I wouldn't buy another from the same company. I think next year I'll go to the Disney store I've heard good things about there and Target having cute costumes.

I ordered this costume for my granddaughter who was 11 months old at Halloween. She looked great in it and it was perfect for her.
